Camera Raw

I have just purchased a Canon 90D. I use Elements 14 to process my images which was fine when using my Canon 7D. Now Elements 14 doesn't recognise my RAW and CR3 files. Do I know have ti upgrade my software to enable me to process my images?     {Thread title edited by moderator}

I have the latest version of Windows 10 64 bit and Photoshop Elements 9 (a little old I know).  I just got a Canon 5D mk iv and found that PSE 9 wont open the CR2 files from this camera.  In my haste to get things going I downloaded and installed Adobe Camera Raw 12.1.  The install completed in a few minutes with no error but did not solve the problem.  I now have learned that PSE 9 is not compatible with ACR 12.1 so I'm a little mystified as to why ACR installed without error.  The computer appears to be working fine after the installation of Adobe Camera Raw 12.1 in spite of the stated lack of compatibility (see: https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-compatible-applications.html).  I'm wondering if I should just leave things as they are since all seems to be working or if I should take some steps to avoid any troubles going forwards.  I probably will update to the latest version of Elements to solve the problem but in the meantime I'

Hi  Since camera raw 12.0 update  when I go into adjustment brush and want to create a new pin and select mask all is masked and then it remove the mask when I draw is there a way to switch it back again so it mask what I draw and not turn everything red and then erase the mask    {Thread renamed by moderator}

I'm in Photoshop and if i want to auto on Camera Raw i have to open the Camera Raw then i have to click "auto" and then i have to click OK. Is there a shorter way to do this ?

I have a newly installed current version of Photoshop on my Mac running current OSMy problem is, that every time I open a picture in Camera Raw, I cannot seem to change the 'Radial Filter' settings to only change the inside of the circle/filter1) Chose radial filter -> creating a circle -> changing effect from outside to inside -> no change, all changes happen outside the circle2) Chose radial filter -> clicking 'inside circle' -> The moment I create a circle, it jumps to outside, and it doesn't change when I try to change to insideCan someone please help me out, thanks

For some time the user presets i have bought and installed are not available for jpegs opened in camera raw. They are available from the user presets list for nef (raw) files but not for jpegs and it never been like that. I used to open jpegs in camera raw and edit with user presets without problems and now they are gone. How can i get them back for jpegs on the user presetes list ?

Hi,I am trying to use the 11.2 DNG converter CLI on MAC Mojave 10.14.1 without any luck. I have followed the "Command Line Support" document for reference, but I can not seem to get it to work using the reference example. I am using the following command:"open -a /Applications/Adobe\ DNG\ Converter.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe\ DNG\ Converter --args -c -e -p1 -cr7.1 -dng1.4 /path/filename.NEF"The DNG application seems to start as the icon appears in the bottom of the screen, but it quickly closes again. Maybe this is an indication of DNG converter not finding any files to convert? Appreciate any help on this!

ACR shows white balance measurment with lower tempatures representing colder or bluish tones and the higher tempatures representing warmer tempatures/tones. However other measurement scales of WB tempatures show the opposite with lower tempatures representing warmer tones and higher tempatures representing colder or bluish tomes. Which is correct and why is ACR opposite to the other measurements?

If anyone can help, would be greatly appreciated. I follow the path to app data in camera raw and there is no folder to place presets.  I try from in the app, and also starting from local disk. What it looks like is my computer doesnt even have camera raw installed, yet it opens from either bridge or photoshop.  Thanks

This is the second time this has happened in recent history. No profile corrections available for my .NEF files or .DNG files. Yes they are RAW files, Nikon and DJI. I was working on this project last night with no issues, resumed this morning and the lens profiles are gone. They are still present in Lightroom, however my work flow depends heavily on processing photos in Adobe Camera Raw. The last time I had this issue it was resolved after a very lenghty phone call (mostly on hold with with Adobe Support) and I just dont have time for that. I did not do any updates that I know of to my Adobe products over night., Any suggestions? 

Just updated to photoshop cc 2020, camera raw updated to 12.1. I went to use it and there is only 1 color profile, adobe standard, and there is an warning sign. How can you tell when Sync Settings is finished? I take overnight time lapse images of the night sky and process up to 3,000 images at the same time.  I cannot tell when the Sync Settings function has complted.  I wnat to know when I can move forward with my processing but have no way of knowing when the task is done.

I stumbled upon a post, where someone said you can force Adobe Camera Raw to use either DirectX or OpenGL by editing the crs:gpu_preferred_system="" line in the following file: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\GPU\Camera Raw GPU Config.txt: However, there's a problem with forcing ACR to use OpenGL on my laptop, if I use any version above ACR 11.1. I change the line to crs:gpu_preferred_system="OpenGL", but ACR ignores it and stays on DirectX anyway. I tried reinstalling PS and ACR, manually deleting the file, but it didn't help. I want to use the OpenGL, because it feels way smoother on my system. But here's the catch - I don't have this problem on my desktop computer, only on laptop. Here are the specifications: Desktop computer: AMD FX-4130, 8GB DDR3, Radeon HD 7750 1GB (DirectX 11), Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, Adobe Photoshop CC 2017 64-bit.Laptop: Intel i3-7010U, 8GB DDR4, hybrid Intel HD 620 + Radeon 520 2GB (DirectX 12), Windows 10 v1809 64-b

I am using a high-end AMD desktop. 2700X+32GB RAM. It was getting slow this year. I tried it on a fresh Windows 10 with CC 2019 and CC 2020. When I clicking different photos you can see it takes about 2-3 seconds to load the next photo. They are not 100MP photos, they are just 24MP small RAW files. The same files on cheap Intel laptops are much faster than AMD. Video：    The funny thing is. If I am using a portable PS, without lens and color profiles. It runs really fast on my same AMD computer! Look!  So I have to say the cracked PS is better than the Real PS?

PS 2020 RawI would like to report that with the help of the community, I have solved my problem of very slow response in Raw in the latest version of PS2020.It turns out, at least in my case, that Acronis True Image had incorporated a featrue to detect unusual activity, and simply disabling this service in my Windows setup solved the hang up.Thank you Adobe for providing  me the means to investigate what was a major hang up.Respecfully

I had these for years, some reason don't them or don't work anymore: 1-  select all, (says command A, but not working for me)2 - sync setting withou the box coming up. (don't see offered at all anymore) Thanks, MAC

Is it possible to save crop settings in Camera raw like in Photoshop? If not, that would be a wish for future updates.

For some reason, ACR is no longer saying my system supports graphic acceleration. It was working fine then suddenly it stopped. There was no update to my system or any Adobe app. I'm on Win 10. Here is my graphic card info:

Hi, Bridge acceleration is disabled for Camera Raw performance settings in Bridge. He writes that my system does not support it. (backed up a week ago, worked fine) Other programs like Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom ... etc work properly with GPU processing / acceleration. What could be an agony? As described, my system is supported.
