Hello,I am working with RAW images on my Mac using Photoshop CS2. I need a copy of Camera Raw 3.7 for PowerPC Macs. Does anyone know where I can download it? Thanks.
Hi everyone. So I need to do a little bit of digital infrared processing. With great enthusiasm, I jumped straight into the subject and began by downloading Adobe DNG Profile Editor... Only to discover that it doesn't seem to work at all. After reading comments online, I've come to realize that it might be an issue with my Mac being too new, and Adobe hasn't released a newer version of the software compatible with M1 Pro onwards. Do you have any alternatives to suggest for this software, or perhaps know of a solution to fix this issue? Thanks!
Hello, I'm looking for a better understanding of using the DNG converter and the JPEG preview options. First question, when I go to open a DNG file that I created with DNG Converter, why is the image (preview) so tiny? For example, when I open DNG file from my Samsung Galaxy's camera, they are full size.I dont' even understand how Windows photos app or anything other than RAW editing software can even open DNG files. With my Samsung Galaxy, there are no JPEG preview options. I just have the camera set to RAW format which is actually DNG and that's it. To be clear, I do not have my Galaxy set to RAW and JPEG. Like I said, when I open the DNG files from my Galaxy they are full size, unlike the Adobe DNG Converter. The tiny image that appears when I open a DNG file from DNG Converter, is with the "none" JPEG preview setting. If I have it set to none, how can it be viewed? If the option none actually gives you a (tiny) preview, why doesn't it just give you a full size preview
The crop tool is missing in Camera Raw 15.1.1 (Mac). Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks
Good morning everyone,I have been using Camera Raw non-stop for 8 years now for my work as a photographer at film festivals and I have to complain about Camera Raw's new noise reduction process which I find simply poor and totally inappropriate by my standards.I use Camera raw to perform HDR of projected movie photos during screenings and of course to replicate the effect with great results I use HDR with two exposures, and I used to take two photos (the one above and the one below-exposed), then reduce the noise via AI, and then create from the two new files a new HDR image that with little issues recreates the effect without compressing the quality of off-screen details. But this new method Introduced by the update, downloaded today, of version 17.4 of using the AI of Noise Reduction directly on the original image does not work at all and even deteriorates the quality of details beyond repair. Let me give you a practical example: on the left is the image recreated with
Does anyone know how a canon CR3 file actually gets changed to a jpeg file. I thought RAW files could not be changed. The file shows as .CR3.jpg and ends up as a small jpeg file and the RAW file has gone. I had a batch of 50 odd files go this way. I searched the computer and the RAW files are not anywhere.
my photoshop freezes whenever I try to open Camera Raw Filter. The camera raw loading bar pops up and never progresses or goes away, and it won’t let me click out of it, I have to force quit every time.Photoshop and CR are both up to date and I’m using MacBook with MacOS Monterey. I’ve tried unchecking the GP box and it didn’t help.anyone know what to do?
When I open a RAW file, the Camera Raw window cannot be found anywhere on the screen - not even showing as a minimum window or a single pixel. It just disappears. However, the prompt window is still opened. I know it because when I click on the main PS window, it does not respond and gets me the system sound indicating that a subwindow is openend. (same system sound when having "Open File" prompt window open and clicking on the PS main window). And if I hit ESC, it closes the invisible Camera Raw subwindow. I tried to re-install PS but without luck. None of the window moving methods (e.g. alt+tab, win+arrow key, etc) works. Windows 11 Pro 22621.1413PS 24.3 Any help would be appreciated.
I unable to open acr 17.2 and acr 17.3.1 , Camera Raw Preferences cannot be opened. I installed 17.1 and it worked. I think it's a bug on 17.2 and 17.3....I Have Tried Without Success:1. Disable GPU usage in Photoshop.2. Resetting Photoshop Preferences. (Camera Raw Preferences cannot be opened.)3. Update GPU drivers.4. Uninstall all the Adobe softwares by AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool.exe and then reinstall the Photoshop Application. Hello community, I am experiencing serious issues with Camera Raw 17.2 on Windows 11 when trying to open .NEF (Nikon RAW) files in Photoshop 26.3. The Camera Raw cannot open and the Photoshop displays the following message: Could not complete your request because Photoshop does not recognize this type of file. However, my Photoshop works well, except that the Camera Raw cannot be opened. It seems that Camera Raw 17.2 can be successfully installed on my computer, but it cannot be opened. So how can I open Camera Raw again? I would really appreciate any help! Thank you in advance! Steps I Have Tried Without Success: 1. Disable GPU usage in Photoshop. 2. Resetting Photoshop Preferences. (Camera Raw Preferences cannot be opened.) 3. Update GPU drivers. 4. Uninstall all the Adobe softwares by AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool.exe and then reinstall the Photoshop Application. My System info: Adobe Photoshop Version: 26.3.0 20250
Is it Samsung or is it Adobe? This effect is not visible in the embedded preview. Also not a new issue, happend with S23U and S22U. Original dng source: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/33kkhszxvkpul0wobqwfz/20240125_204051.dng?rlkey=an9u77f7wchzockal0n4fbybq&dl=0 More Infos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TNT9gds-oaA Edit: Samung messed up even more. The ProMode classic RAW is completely broken, there is nothing there in the highlights and shadows to recover (it's on the same level as the jpg), while a 3rd party app can create a RAW file where it's possible (even Adobes De-Noise works on 3rd party dng files).
This has been an ongoing fight for me over the last few years, basically ever since CameraRaw went beyond 14.5.When attempting to open a Raw in Bridge (and in Photoshop), with version 17.2 the process just hangs. When looking at the process in task manager it isn't using any more resources than normal, and seems to be operating as intended, just without loading my file. When I install 14.5, these issues do not happen.I have had a few moments over the years where I've been able to use a current verion of CameraRaw. But random updates seem to restart the problem. I would love to be able to use current features within the plug-in, and not be held back to an outdated version. I've seen similar problems posted on the forums before, but the fixes others have found do not work for me.I've done:- a fresh install of Windows.- a fresh install of my video drivers- a complete re-install of all Adobe programs, including using the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool- Tried using just one monitor/m
Hi, I have the new Camrea Raw 13.2 installed and want to use the new Super Resolution option with jpgs. When I control click I don't get an option to Enhance, in fact the options look completely different to all the online videos (see screengrab). I've tried opening Camera Raw from Bridge but the button is greyed out and turning on the double click to open Camera Raw from preferences doesn't work. Also there is no option to control click open in Camera Raw. Photoshop is up to date (22.3) and i'm running macOS 0.15.4
I have an Aus ProArt px13 with an Nvidia RTX4050 gpu and AMD 890M integrated graphics. Whenever I use just the integrated graphics, I cannot use the camera raw presets without a runtime error disabling the gpu. All drivers are updated. It does the same thing in Lightroom. I am using Camera Raw 17.2 and Phoitoshop 26.6 on Windows 11.
In 2018 I shot photos with my iPhone and a Fujifilm X-100F in RAW. I converted them to lossy DNGs in Lightroom. They have since been living in Apple Photos (as RAW + JPEG pairs). Now, I was looking to re-edit them with Lightroom to export them in HDR, and renewed my license to do so. I see that the iPhone RAW files do not show up in Lightroom (the X-100F files do). I tried converting them with the latest DNG coverter, but that refused to read the files.. I then read about the update to the lossy DNG format (moving from JPEG to JXL compression) and thought that might be the culprit. I found that the older version 13.0 of the DNG converter can read these files, and used that to export them to linear DNGs (by forcing compitability with Camera Raw 2.4). But Lightroom still cannot read the files. I noticed that Topaz Photo AI can read the files once linearized, which provides an (extremely convoluted way) to get to most of the data. Is this known? Are there ways to "upgrade"
My photoprocessing workflow isAdobe Bridge-Camera Raw- Adobe Photoshop- Topaz Photo AI (if required) In camera Raw even though I have activated the New AI features and Settings in the Camera Raw preferences it does not activate it and I cannot use the new features. Is there a bug or do I have to do something else to activate it. I am using a MAC pro with the laest OS
So, this may seem weird but I really enjoy using camera raw to color my videos and I've been doing it for years. However once I render things back down in After Effects I tend to get some strange lighting flickering issues on certain scenes. I'm not sure what the issue could be and I've tried troubleshooting several things:-Rendering tifs, pngs, exr [not supported]-Not being as heavy handed with my editing-Trying different versions of camera raw, after effects-Using different frame blending methods-Rendering video with a LUT laid over first and then rending down my image sequence before placing into camera raw. [Thought V-Log could be causing an issue]My pipeline process is to render my video out in an image sequence first, take the first frame and edit it or use a saved preset for the look I want, import image sequence with camera raw into After Effects, render out the footage in H.264 format. If there's any advise it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Hello everyone, as a user of lovely fuji x100v I often use digital crop function that makes from 35mm a 50mm or 75mm lens.. this function crops the jpegs but in raw it is stored just as metadata.. my problem is that when these raw files are opened in bridge it doesnt read the crop info and shows it as full image.. also when converting via adobe dng converter from raf to dng it doesnt detect the crop so my composition is off .. So I was hoping adobe could fix this because the metadata is there and I could have a cropped image already with option going back ( like a preset already applied) .. there is one unofficial plugin for ligtroom and one other manufacturer implemented this in his dng converter but it is apllying also demosaic or how is it called and the dng is 30% bigger in size so a no go for me.. My simple workflow is bridge + camera raw.. Also it would be cool if there was option to save a manually cropped edit as preset because camera raw ignores manual cro
I love the masking with the current ACR. I'm on version 14.4.0.1121. I mostly work on landscapes and I like to mask the sky, the water, the trees differently to make locaized adjustments. And I love the fact that you can interset one mask type with another. For autumn folage I might build a mask based on a Color range where I pick some read leaves, then I will intersect that mask with a brush mask and I can paint in changes on only the leaves I want to change. Love it.But, I find that after creating a couple of masks the whole masking process slows down, and gets to a point where I am waiting for the paint brush to catch up. Sometimes I have to paint in an area of the mask several times before the mask actually changes. Are there any tricks or techniques to speed up masking, especially as I build up more and more masks within just one image? Are there some maksing techniques that are inherintly slow and maybe should be avoided? Does mask type and mask order make any difference? Thanks,Pe
Hello, why the point color dropper in Camera Raw doesn't have the loupe? Always shortcomings about same tools between Camera Raw, Lightroom and Lightroom Classic.
When I few images (whether they be RAW files or jpgs) in Camera Raw, they appear very oversaturated. I've been trying to tackle this as a color profile problem with my PC, as I have had some issues getting the right calibration in the past and did find some issues with Windows assigning my monitors with the wrong number. I'll also be the first to admit I don't know 100% what I'm doing. But I can confirm I've reset color management profiles, as well as changed my color profiles numerous times as part of testing (to always the same result: changing my PC's color profiles did not change the oversaturated look in Camera Raw.) So after endlessly searching and trying just about every solution I could find, I finally tried reverting Camera Raw from version 16+ to version 14.1 (downloaded it here: https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-in-installer.html) And it fixed the problem. When using Camera Raw 14.1, I get a very brief flash of the oversaturated
I have photoshop elements 2023 which has been great until I bought a new camera. Camera raw will only open JPEG's. If I try to open raw it says I need to install a plugin. I have tried many times even manually but nothing. Tried adding the file mentioned on here but no luck. another question... I was planning on upgrading to 2025 would this fix my issue? thanks
When I open any file, jpg, cr3, nef, in Camera Raw, it first has the same amount of light as in Bridge, but then gradually turns a lot darker, in maybe 2 seconds. Does anybody know why? It is Camera Raw 17.3.1, Mac Book Pro och Mac OS Sequoia.
