Hello everyone, as a user of lovely fuji x100v I often use digital crop function that makes from 35mm a 50mm or 75mm lens.. this function crops the jpegs but in raw it is stored just as metadata.. my problem is that when these raw files are opened in bridge it doesnt read the crop info and shows it as full image.. also when converting via adobe dng converter from raf to dng it doesnt detect the crop so my composition is off .. So I was hoping adobe could fix this because the metadata is there and I could have a cropped image already with option going back ( like a preset already applied) .. there is one unofficial plugin for ligtroom and one other manufacturer implemented this in his dng converter but it is apllying also demosaic or how is it called and the dng is 30% bigger in size so a no go for me.. My simple workflow is bridge + camera raw.. Also it would be cool if there was option to save a manually cropped edit as preset because camera raw ignores manual cro
I love the masking with the current ACR. I'm on version 14.4.0.1121. I mostly work on landscapes and I like to mask the sky, the water, the trees differently to make locaized adjustments. And I love the fact that you can interset one mask type with another. For autumn folage I might build a mask based on a Color range where I pick some read leaves, then I will intersect that mask with a brush mask and I can paint in changes on only the leaves I want to change. Love it.But, I find that after creating a couple of masks the whole masking process slows down, and gets to a point where I am waiting for the paint brush to catch up. Sometimes I have to paint in an area of the mask several times before the mask actually changes. Are there any tricks or techniques to speed up masking, especially as I build up more and more masks within just one image? Are there some maksing techniques that are inherintly slow and maybe should be avoided? Does mask type and mask order make any difference? Thanks,Pe
Hello, why the point color dropper in Camera Raw doesn't have the loupe? Always shortcomings about same tools between Camera Raw, Lightroom and Lightroom Classic.
When I few images (whether they be RAW files or jpgs) in Camera Raw, they appear very oversaturated. I've been trying to tackle this as a color profile problem with my PC, as I have had some issues getting the right calibration in the past and did find some issues with Windows assigning my monitors with the wrong number. I'll also be the first to admit I don't know 100% what I'm doing. But I can confirm I've reset color management profiles, as well as changed my color profiles numerous times as part of testing (to always the same result: changing my PC's color profiles did not change the oversaturated look in Camera Raw.) So after endlessly searching and trying just about every solution I could find, I finally tried reverting Camera Raw from version 16+ to version 14.1 (downloaded it here: https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-in-installer.html) And it fixed the problem. When using Camera Raw 14.1, I get a very brief flash of the oversaturated
I have photoshop elements 2023 which has been great until I bought a new camera. Camera raw will only open JPEG's. If I try to open raw it says I need to install a plugin. I have tried many times even manually but nothing. Tried adding the file mentioned on here but no luck. another question... I was planning on upgrading to 2025 would this fix my issue? thanks
When I open any file, jpg, cr3, nef, in Camera Raw, it first has the same amount of light as in Bridge, but then gradually turns a lot darker, in maybe 2 seconds. Does anybody know why? It is Camera Raw 17.3.1, Mac Book Pro och Mac OS Sequoia.
Hello wisdom or crowds In Adobe Camera Raw the shortuts P & Q are not showing the original file.Have a look at the screen shot in the attachment. How did I replace the original - and how can I replace it again? CheersHoward
TLDR: A future Camera Raw update is needed to support the Flexible Color profile, specifically for the Nikon Zf. Firmware 2.0 for the Nikon Zf, released last month, finally enabled Flexible Color – a feature/"profile" that has been available on the Z6III for over a year now. See screenshots on the specific .dcp file I'm referring to. Z6III RAW files can access the Flexible Color profile in LrC/LR, enabling one to actually "use" the 'recipe'/flexible look as a starting point when editing RAWs. The Zf does not support this profile, and only an update to LrC/LR/Camera Raw, specifically to enable this setting. Please refer to this previous post I created in the LrC forums for more info, and the screenshots below on the Z6III having Flexible Color (and not the Zf). https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-ideas/p-update-needed-for-nikon-zf-flexible-color-profile-camera-matching-in-lightroom/idc-p/15292830#M24116
Anyone else getting this? Whether I go through Bridge or open as RAW through PS, that Enhance command seems to have gone - not even greyed-out, just plain gone? I've tried it on a few different files now. Colleague hasn't yet updated to newest PS and they're still seeing the Enhance option.
I'm planning a presentation to a photography club on the subject of all the new masking tools in Adobe Camera Raw, to encourage club members to subscribe to Adobe's photography plan. I plan to demonstrate the selective masking functions for skies, objects, backgrounds, people, landscapes, etc. However, the building where I will give this presentation has no wifi/internet connection. Will these new tools work?
Hello,So i have been having this issue, camera raw wont update and its preventing my other apps from updating as well. I dont have camera raw installed to my Mac, but it says installed to this device. If anyone has some advice that would be great thank you.
In ACR, Apply Previous Settings does not apply the previously selected Calibration: Process Version. No matter which process version was previously used, it defaults to Version 6. Camera Raw 17.3.1 Camera Raw Plugin
I shoot RAW photos with a Canon 5D Mark IV. Until recently, my .CR2 files showed without issue in the preview pane after downloading them to my MAC system. Since my upgrade to Sequoia 15.4.1, the preview pane shows black. Once the images go through post processing and are saved as .psd or .jpg files, the preview pane functions normally. Is this an Adobe issue due to Adobe/MAC incompatabilities or is this something that stems from the MAC side? Anyone else have this issue? Any ideas?
Why it doesnt work with ps Elements?
When I select the sky in Adobe Camera Raw (v. 17.3, Windows 11, 23H2 latest version), automatic adjustemts are applied. Often I do not like them but would want delete the automatic adjustments and do what I intended instead. Is there an easy way to undo the automatic adjustments, keeping the selection and start all over with the adjustment?

In Adobe Camera RAw (ACR), in the Presets Panel, when I right-click on a saved preset, what is meant by "Set Modal Raw Settings"?
I recently got a new MacBook Pro. Since transfering everything over from my old one I can't seem to preview CR2 (RAW) files. I use to be able to click on a CR2 files then hit the space bar to see a preview of the image. Now all I see is black in the window, see attached example. Can anyone help with this...?
I can't scroll through the previews, is it a bug or [the absence of] a feature?I can just click and drag the bar to view the series. Frankly, I haven't opened any series in it for a long time and already forgot if this option was ever there.
I see how to install previous versions of Adobe Cloud apps (Photoshop, etc.). I don't see how to install previous version of Camera Raw, does anyone know how? I am having trouble with Camera Raw version 17.3, would like to intall previous version 17.2 to see if that is the problem.
Hi, Does anyone know why my option for iso adaptive presets is not available when trying to save an iso adaptive preset when having the technology preview turned on in ACR? I have the latest version installed. Is it because I have technology preview turned on or some other issue? It seems to be possible to create other non-iso adaptive presets. This is only valid for ACR with the technology preview turned on. Not valid for LR Classic since the option is not available there within the Detail section in presets on CR3 files. Thanks in advanceOla

I was facing a problem with my raw photos for canon r5 mark 2 the photos appears in the finder as a black photo and it will not be previewed until I zoom in! and that's only happened after I updated the camera raw filter to the version 17.3, as before I update it, it was working perfectly without any issues. I tried to solve the problem by installing the older version of camera raw 14.5, but it became worse, as photoshop now can't open any raw photos, and also cannot open the camera raw filter at all!! Can anyone help me to uninstall all camera raw fiters i have and reinstall the older version??
