My Camera Filter doesn't work. It stopped working and is not opening at all. What should I do?
Particularly with architectural images it is useful to transform the image to make building edges vertical or horizontal. This leaves the image in an odd shape with missing corners that need to be cropped - or perhaps small corners that could be patched up with the clone tool. However, the clone tool does not work in this case because these areas are outside of the original image. Why can't Lightroom fill in these blank areas with some added pixels so that this subsequent editing can be done within LR?
I am using Camera RAW v16.4 and LrC v13.4. A recent RAW photo had a particular item of purple colour but it shows as more like blue when imported to LrC - when using 'Camera Standard' profile. I Have not observed other colours to be quite so obviously different. Shown below, camera faithful, camera standard, and the out-of-camera JPG : Observe the centre image (camera standard profile) is more blue'ish than purple. Looking at the Adobe profiles and all the camera profiles shows that only camera standard, portrait and landscape have this colour shift - I also included the Canon G9x standard (tweaked to show for the G7x), as I understand this uses the same sensor, it too resembles the JPG colour much better: Whilst I can certainly work around this, I thought I'd report the issue as I expected camera matching profiles to be close to the out-of-camera JPG, as it appears to be with the G9 profile.
Hi!I have a problem with Camera raw filter. When I use this filter from Photoshop it looks normal when I open Camera raw filter, but as soon as I touch one of the sliders everything turns white, except for the image. When I hoover over with the pointer, the sliders comes back on the screen, but not the textlabels. This happens on my Mac. I don't have this problem on PC. This is not a problem if I opens a raw file from Bridge directly into the raw filter. Only when I opens images from PS. The only soulution I've found so far, is to open one of the other 'adjustments folders', like Tone curve, Detail or one of the others.Steinar
I tried unchecked "graphic Processor", tried uninstalling and reinstalling photoshop, and also resetting my preferances. Not sure what to do next, and I need help. Anybody Know?
Hi:I have a Sony A6000 which I have shot for first time in ARW files. I have a LR 3.6, old version but it does what I want. I guess you can't import ARW files into LR 3.6.So I DL the Adobe DNG Negative Converter to convert the ARW to DNG. Well I DL both the 13.2 as well as 17.1 Win64 version and I am getting the folloiwng "read only" message during installation. Help, i don't trust other online photo converter and was hoping to use this Adobe converter. Any advise on why this install is giving me read only error message and when I click remove read only attribute it doesn't work. I can't install this converter. Thanks
For the past couple of days I've been getting this random warning when using the Remove tool with AI in Camera Raw 17.2 In this case, I got this message repeatedly when I was removing the edge of a reflector being held by my assistant in the upper corner of the frame. Several times I received a message when trying to remove this that "an error has been encountered with your results. Please review our guidelines and try again"I can't see how this usage violates any guidelines ( I did review them) After a few tries I can eventually get it to work properly but I can't see what's going on here. This is a very typical use case for this tool and have used it in previous versions of Camera Raw in the past. I have attached a screen shot of the error as well as the photo in question where the hand an reflector I'm trying to remove are located.Running Windows 11 (26100.3194)AMD Ryzen 7 7900xAMD Radeon 6700X 8Gig64G Ram
When editing metadata (like captions for jpg files I modify in Adobe Bridge), I noticed that some files started generating .xmp sidecars rather than simply embedding the metadata in the jpg file. It doesn't matter whether or not I set DNG files to always generate xmp files. For affected jpg files, there appears to be no way to embed the data in the file once this behavior starts happening. I started noticing this on my new Windows 11 machine (which I started using at the beginning of last month), but I suspect it was already happening on my previous Windows 10 PC.This behavior did not happen with previous versions of ACR. I've tested Adobe Camera RAW 16.0, 16.1, and 16.2 (which I'm now using) and all properly modify the jpg file without generating a sidecar (if I delete the xmp files generated by ACR 16.3/16.4, I can re-edit the caption to fix affected .jpg files). This is unfortunate since I started using the generative AI remove feature that was introduce
While the DJI models are listed in the "Cameras supported by Camera Raw", there are no camera profiles available. Will Adobe be adding those soon? Drones are an extremely popular way to obtain images and I use them for the archaeological voluteering work I do. I want the very best from my images so am very disappointed to not be able to calibrate my cameras!
I wan't to replace Camera RAW 17.2 with version 15.5 on my elderly PC with Windows 10. How can I do it, please?Previously, I could just delete the version I didn't want and download a new one, but now CR seems to have infiltrated Lightroom as well as being the file converter add-on to Photoshop.Background...A few days ago, I updated LR Classic, Photoshop and Camera RAW to versions 14.1, 22.5.9 and 17.2 respectively. Adobe CC said all these would be compatible with my elderly system. Unfortunately, the interface in Lightroom Classic is now confused by a new interface that hides familar tools (eg spot removal and other masks) behind strange new icons which often don't work.I reverted Lightroom to version 14.0 (verified in the About... menu) feature but it made no difference.I also keep getting pop-ups advertising AI features that I know I can't use on my current system., and this nver happened before.A little on-line research leads me to suspect that the culprit is Camera RAW 17. I’ve been a long-time user of Camera Raw and greatly appreciate its capabilities. However, with the growing prevalence of vertical media (e.g., social platforms, mobile displays), editing portrait-oriented images on a horizontal monitor—or even a vertically rotated secondary monitor—feels limiting.Currently, the fixed Adjustment Panel takes up significant space, forcing the image preview to remain smaller than optimal. In contrast, Premiere Pro allows flexible monitor setups (e.g., rotating a secondary monitor vertically) to better preview vertical content. For Camera Raw, I’d love to see either: Undockable Adjustment Panel: Ability to move the panel to a secondary monitor (like other Adobe panels), or Hideable Panel Option: A toggle to temporarily hide the panel for a full-screen preview. This would drastically improve workflow efficiency, especially for photographers and editors working extensively with vertical compositions. Is this a feature under consideration? If not, I’
I'm new to photography and I love that lenses are automatically detected, however, one of my lenses doesn't provide any information to my camera. The Venus Optics Laowa 60mm Super Macro lens is in the database, however I would like to be able to designate it in such a way that I don't have to go through all three fields to find it each time I apply lens correction to a photo. This could take the form of a recent list of applied lens profiles, or a favorites list, or let me specify an inventory of lenses I use that I can just pick from. As a new photographer, I only have one lens that doesn't communicate with the camera (Sony a7c), however, I would imagine others with more vintage lenses, converters, etc. would have encountered this issue with some regularity. If having to drill through three lists per photo is already bothering me this much I can't even imagine how much more it would affect someone doing this professionally.

When I use cutter in Camera Raw, how I can disable grid or change type of grid as in Photoshop? Maiusc+Contro+G doesn't work. In older versions of camera raw you could do this.
The Geometry tool in ACR doesnt work on images where the camera is not level. I usually use the Draw Guides option, but also have issues with the vertical options. It skews the image instead of rotating it before applying corrections. Any angled crop correction is either removed or applied after the tool has already skewed the image. Allowing rotate to be applied before geometry would fix this I think. Another workaround would be adding vertical and horizontal skew correction sliders. I shoot a lot of architecture and interiors and usually can keep my camera level, but the odd time I have to tuck the camera into a corner sometimes it gets angled a little. Pulling one of two photos from a shoot into photoshop (and then making separate save file) to correct this is a pain for my workflow. Attached an example with just a rotation and then with geometry: draw guides applied
When I edit a RAW file in Lightroom, which creates an XMP file, and then convert that to DNG using the DNG Converter v11.2, all the edits get carried over to the new DNG file except the color profile. This has recently become an issue for me because I am using the new Adobe Adaptive color profile much more. Thanks, David

Please add lens profiles for tilt shift lens. Specifically I'd love to see one for a Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5L II Tilt-Shift Lens. However, I'm sure a lot of other would love see a lens profile for varieties of tilt-shifts. Thanks
So, I have another problem with ACr 17.1. Whenever I try to target a certain color and adjust it, I only affect the blue and purple sliders, even if I hover on another set of hues. After a certain time, the cursor lags, and my CPU is 100% slowing my workflow.
Hi, it appears like, after applying Denoise to a raw file, the TAT (with HSL) is not working as expected. I haven't been able to find a previous report on this same issue, sorry if someone did and I couldn't find it. The following video shows the issue more clearly (normal TAT behavior, then Denoise, then the problem): https://youtu.be/zC9rlF9am9M I'm using ACR 17.2 and Windows. ACR is being hosted by Photoshop 26.3.

The PENTAX K-3 Mark III Monochrome is a camera dedicated to monochrome photography. The image sensor of this camera does not have a color filter, so there is no need for demosaic processing of the RAW data. Now, if I load the RAW data from this camera into Lightroom Classic, will the built-in CameraRaw perform demosaic processing? Or not?If demosaic processing is performed, it may create noise that does not actually exist. This is related to the quality control of image data, so I am looking for accurate information. If possible, I would appreciate an official response from Adobe.Thank you in advance.
I have created a Profile (xmp file) using Spyder Checkr Photo for my camera. It is stored in the corect place: Library: Application Support: Adobe: Camera Raw: Settings. When I use the Import Profiles & Presets command in Camera Raw, it goes directly to the correct folder and the xmp file (the created Profile) appears, but it is grayed out. So I can't import it. Am I doing something wrong? I would like to have it as an option in the Profiles listed in the drop down menus. Thanks for any help. So I have figured out what is going on. The Profiles I created with Spyder Color Checkr Photo actually appear as Presets, not Profiles in either the ACR or the Lightroom interface. I have been reading up on the distinction between the two (Profiles and Presets), and they seem very similar. I still have the option of mulitple Profiles already part of ACR, and still need to figure out which is the best to opt for. I want the most accurate, as I am photographing paintings. I know the v
In opening up a CR image edited 14 years ago (I’ve learnt alot since then) it shows the old dialogue box - I want to re-edit it, but with the current CR dialogue box - why isn’t this showing? - how do I access it? Thanks
