I was just upgraded to CR 17 and when I gotoopen any file I get an error that says the file is using an invalid profile and if I ignore the error I get a grayscale image. I am stopped dead on my project. I don't know how to revert to the earlier version. How do I get out of this?
Hi, I accidentally marked an image for deletion in Camera Raw 12.4 and clicked the "Done" button instead of the "Open" button. The image is not in my computer's trash. It seems to be gone. Is it possible to recover these files from the trash? Thanks.
Generative Remove examines the hidden border pixels that Camera Raw automatically crops from many cameras' raw files, making it very hard for the unsuspecting user to remove objects from the edges of photos. A product manager surely wouldn't consider this as-designed behavior, since there is no way for a user to ever see those pixels in LR, and they are difficult to select with Remove. Remove should send to Firefly the raw file minus those automatically cropped pixels. There were a number of posts in the early-access feedback thread from users tripping over this. There's a recent one in the current thread:https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-discussions/p-generative-remove-feedback-lr-classic-amp-lr-eco/m-p/14922570#M382851 DETAILS Many cameras produce raw files that the Camera Raw engine automatically crops to a slightly smaller standard size, which you can't prevent. For example, a Sony 7C raw is 6024 x 4024 (ratio ~ 1.497), which gets cropped t
I don't use Camera Raw in Bridge/Photoshop separately too often—I typically use Lightroom (Classic, sometimes Desktop). However, I've been playing around given some of the newer AI features (Adaptive Profile and editable Enhance/Denoise, primarily). I'm struck by CR being a bit laggy compared to Lightroom even when no AI features are enabled and I'm adjusting basic exposure/tone sliders. There's just a hair of a delay when adjusting, and sometimes even a momentary beach ball. Lightroom typically drag at this point—I need to put it under a lot more stress in terms of multiple complicated masks and brush-based edits to get to that place. As a non-regular CR user, I'm just curious if I should just expect performance that generally isn't quite as smooth as Lightroom? Or, if there's something I could do to improve CR in particular. I'm trying CR in both Bridge and Photoshop. Bridge seems better, as the application itself takes up fewer other resources. I know my hardware isn't a p
I appreciate the change to Jpeg XL and the amounts of space photographers can save with it.However one thing that bugs me is that preview thumbnails don't display anymore in Windows, which is annoying. Now we have to use Adobe Bridge again to see previews. Please fix or release a codec. It would also be great, if the user could at least select between lossy and lossless Jpeg XL compression. I think even a lossless Jpeg XL would save quite some space compared to a normal DNG.
When editing in camera raw and hitting Enter it send me to photoshop to edit. You must wait for photoshop to load before you can X out and go back to your regularly scheduled editing session. How do I disable or change this?
Hello,I am using Lightroom 6.14 / Camera Raw 10.1 (I am not using any new cloud / classic software).I understand that this LR 6.14 version does not manage RW2 files from my Panasonic G91.So I have installed the latest version of the Adobe DNG converter (as of Oct 2024) to convert the RW2 files into DNG files:https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/using/adobe-dng-converter.html?x-product=Helpx%2F1.0.0&x-product-location=Search%3AForums%3Alink%2F3.5.6 Based on this help site, I thought I would need to change the settings for the Preferences/Compatibility, as it reads: "Camera Raw 7.1 and later: The DNG file will be readable by Camera Raw 7.1 (Photoshop CS6) and later, and Lightroom 4.1 and later. The DNG file will often be readable by earlier versions, depending on the camera model." However, when leaving the preference with the default compatibility settings, i.e. Camera Raw 15.3 and higher, the generated DNG files are also readible in Lighroom 6.14 / Camera Raw 10.1. Now
The last updates to PS (v.26), CameraRaw (v.17) and LRC (v.14.0.1) have left updater files in the /tmp/ folder of macOS 15.0.1. I assume they usually are deleted after the updates are installed. I noticed as a daily run of Intego Virus Barrier reports them as malware. I deleted them manually and solved the issue, and I expect if I had a reason to reboot my M2 MBA that would also have cleared them.I haven't seen this before, so I thought I should report it.
Hi I recently had updated phtoshop which was the worst decision. After the update camera raw would not let me add images to photshop by draggin them. I deleted Camera raw file but now Photoshop cannot not find a file. How do reinstall Camer Raw?
I just installed all the new updates, i.e., for Camera Raw 17, Photoshop 2025, and Lightroom Classic. But, I’m not able to see the new features in Camera Raw 17 (Denoise, Adobe Adaptive, Crop and Expand, etc) for files I’ve uploaded via Lightroom. I’ve tried turning on Technology Preview in settings and restarting several times, but still no change. I’ve also tried reinstalling both Photoshop and Camera Raw. However, when I upload RAW files directly to Photoshop / Camera Raw, I’m then able to see all the new features in Camera Raw 17, but that’s not my workflow. What am I missing? Would appreciate any help.
Is it possible to change the default save path for exporting DNG files after AI denoising in the Camera RAW module?
HiSeems to me that the new denoise and enhance in the new Camera Raew are very time consuming when trying to edit multiple pictures. First enhance the pictures, wait for that, the denoise, weait for that, and when doing that it locks photoshop so its impossible to do anything els in the meantime. If possible pls. make it possible to continue working while enhancing is in progress, as in the former denoise with DNG copies
I just installed the October '24 updates. ACR 17.0.0.2043, Photoshop 26.0. GPU acceleration set to Auto in ACR. On loading two CR3 files (Canon 90D) into ACR, the main image came up black. Thumbnails showed correctly. This was both in Photoshop and Bridge-hosted ACR. Rebooting the computer fixed the issue. I also had seen the Radeon GPU problem with this computer (with Sonoma and ACR 16) but not recently, and rebooting also fixed it then. This seems to be a new problem with the latest version of ACR when using Remove with Generative AI: the content generated is slightly darker than the rest of the image, and there's a hard edge to the generated content. I don't recall this being an issue when using Generative AI before to remove objects. See the following screen shots that document the issue. Note how the generated content leaves a "stain" on the image where it removed the soft box.Camera Raw 16.5Mac OS 15.0.1
.why will the new denoise ai not show when i open an image in camera raw 17.i am using windows 11
Camera RAW 16.5 for Mac running MAC OS Sequoia is previewing inaccurately suddenly.Images load into Camera RAW and look dark despite reviewing all settings. When I render the image into Photoshop, it looks completely "correct"It obviously makes using Camera RAW impossible. What am I missing, something simple?
I am opening an image (1024 × 853, colour profile: sRGB IEC61966-2.1) with the Camera RAW. After that, I am trying to enlarge it by following those steps: Right click -> Enhance -> Super Resolution There I see white image on: "Enhanced". When I click "Enhance" I see the following result: Version: Photoshop 25.12.0 (part of photography bundle)Macbook pro 2019, 16inchMacOS: Sonoma 14.6.1 (23G93)

I'm not sure if I'm in the correct group...I am trying to add photos from a Scandisk to Lightroom. The images are raw files and I keep getting the message the format is not compatible. This only happens with Raw files. Any ideas why? Thanks in advance for any help.
Gracias anticipadas
This post applies to Camera Raw.Post Lightroom Feedback here This thread is now closed. Please update to Camera Raw 17.x. If you wish to provide feedback, please go to the new article. The Photography team is sharing an early look at Generative Remove, which makes it easier to remove unwanted objects and distractions, even on complex backgrounds, with a simple brush stroke. Generative Remove is powered by Firefly AI. How to use Generative Remove on a desktop: You can find Generative Remove under the newly renamed Remove panel (aka “Heal”). Make sure the “generative AI” checkbox is enabled before you start brushing (note: when unchecked, Lightroom will use Content-Aware Remove to fill your brushed spots). By default, you will be given a moment to refine your selection with an add or subtract brush. Remember to include shadows for a more accurate result! You can also skip this step by holding down ‘CTRL’ on windows or ‘CMD’ on mac as you finish your bru
