For a few days now I have this error message once I close my files on camera raw."Unable to save raw data conversion settings, a write permissions error has occurred." I state that I open the files on camera raw via bridge. It's like it can't save the xmp file. I have already tried to change the folder to the files, but unfortunately the error returns. The strangest thing is that it happens sometimes yes and sometimes not. I use a Mac, with the same files, on another Mac it doesn't happen. What could have happened?

I really want to edit layer by layer and until today I had an error message when opening camera raw with ctrl + shift + a about the an error with the graphics processor.I fixed this by ncreasing the cache to 10gb for camera raw. However the same thing still happens as I exit camera raw window - photoshop bugs out and stops showing my project (see attachment) Under GPU compability everything is OK. I have restarted, updated and tested everything I can find online.Any ideas as to why it crashes every time? Thanks.
Scrubby Zoom is now greyed out and is not working. However, it is working in Camera Raw. When you open an image from Camera Raw the Scrubby Zoom box will be checked for a few seconds and then goes away. Very strange. Anyhow, wondering if anyone has any ideas? I've gone through Edit-Preferences-Tools and tried making changes but nothing seems to work..... -Kurt
If I press P to toggle the Preview of changes compared with the original photo more than two times, the third time it just seems to change settings randomly and the fourth time, a Trash Can icon is flashing briefly over the photo. If multiple files are open, the Trash Can icon is remaining over all photos. Am on the latest version of all Creative Cloud apps and MacOS 12.4. Have no idea what is going on....
Recently updated Camera Raw tp the latest version and it doesn`t want to open Raw files from my Canon 5DMKIII. I`m using Mac
I've updated Camera Raw, and dowloaded the stndalone DNG Concerter app, but nothing seems to work in importing to any of my Lightroom apps - Classic or new. I played around a bit with my Photoshop and Bridge, but I don't have such mastery that I can do the whole folder of NEF files. Coaching or a link for me to study please?
Does the Canon R5 Raw work with Windows 7?I think that I already know the answer, but if you do not ask you do not receive an answer no matter how the chips fall!
I cannot find it anywhere in the documentation (and could have sworn this was possible in previous iterations of Camera Raw), how do I load multiple images into Camera Raw, use Scrubby Zoom (or Zoom generally) and make sure that each image I tabe to is in exactly the same location, at the same zoom setting? This is very useful in many many ways specifically to check and see if an image has shifted at all during a photoshoot (eg., night sky work and wind moving the camera EVER so slightly). There should be a way to see if the images line up perfectly without having to align them and check (far too time and resource intensive).
Hello everyone, I was thrilled with the masking tool in Camera Raw last spring. I just updated my camera raw to 12.4, and I can't find the masking panel. Did they remove it with this update? If not, where is it?
MacOS 12.5 Creative Cloud says I'm up to date on all my apps:Photoshop 23.4.2Lightroom Classic 11.4.1Camera Raw "up to date" However, when I open a photo in Photoshop from Lightroom, I get a warning that the versions of Camera Raw are incompatible. Lightroom says it is using Camera Raw 14.4.1 while Photoshop says it is using 14.4.0.1121. If I open the file anyway, it looks fine in Photoshop, but when I save it back in Lightroom the colors are off. The first file below (sample.jpg) is as seen in Lightroom. The second file (sample-edit.jpg) I opened in Photoshop, cloned a little grass onto the girl's shoe (but did no other changes), then saved back in Lightroom.
Di the perspective tool disappear in Camera Raw 14.5 or am I blind?
I Have Photoshop CS6. Up to know, I was able to open jpg files from bridge in Camera raw, just by clicking "open in camera raw". But from a couple of months ago I am not able anymore I get messages "Camera raw is not activated" "Camera raw needs a product with license" Of course i have a license for my Ps CS6. Can anybody help me?
Hello -Previously when I open a raw file to edit in PS, camera raw would save the xmp file in the same drive & folder where the raw file I am altering is located (D drive). But now it automatically saves the xmp PLUS a copy of the raw file to a completely different drive (C) under in the pictures folder. I cannot figure out how switch it so they automatically save to same drive & folder as the original raw image. I don't want to have to move the xmp files plus delete the raw copy with edit. Any insight??

Gracias
My image is a simple jpg image. After I make the changes on Camera Raw and press to apply the changes that rotating animation (showing work in progress) keeps rotating to infinity, Photoshop freezes and I have to "kill" PS via Ctrl + Alt + Del. Started happening 2 days ago, after the recent update. I tried:Preferences->General and turn off "Export Clipboard"But that didn't change a thing.
Hey everyone, so I took some photos in camera RAW using the flat profile on my nikon z6 II. When I try to import them into after effects (I'm doing a Hyperlapse) the colors seem to be off, I changed the profile to camera matching- flat , which gives me the closest to the original. It is useable that way, but I was wondering if there is a better way or maybe I'm doing something wrong.
When I load an image into Camera Raw, the image appears to be slightly cropped when compared to any viewer or editor software including Nikon ViewNX. It has been suggested that this might be due to Camera Raw applying corrections from camera profiles, but I have not found a way to turn off the profiles and have not found settings in Photoshop or ACR preferences that affect this problem. The example images are screen captures; the gray areas on the sides are outside of the image area and I have cropped the top and bottom portions of the image, so the illustrations are of the amount of image on the sides of the two examples between the gray borders. Note the ACR image has been slightly cropped on both left and right sides --that is the problem. Image is from a Nikon Z7 with Z-mount lens, PS 23.4.2, ACR 14.4.1.1122 (although this is not a new problem so versions are probably not relevant). I would appreciate thoughts of what is causing this and what I can do to avoid the problem.
In Camera Raw Preferences (Version 14.4.1.1122) > Performance > Use Graphics Processor > Use GPU for Open and Save (which I usually access from Adobe Bridge Edit menu), I have the relevant check box checked, but when I look again sometime later it has been unchecked. System is Windows 11 Pro Version 21H2, CPU Intel Core I9 10900X GPU is NVIDIA Quadro RTX 4000.Any suggestions?
Hi,This may be a bit outdated, but what-ever happend to the recovery slider in CR 7? It has obviously been replaced but what has come in it's place.I've recently upgraded fron CR7 to CR 14.x Thanks, CK
I updated today to photoshop 21.0.1 But camera raw is stil so slow, it is impossible to work with it. I was hoping the update from today would be helpfull but no improvement at all.
How do you add ACR brushes in since the update? Everything I've read has said to upload them to:Users/UserName/Library/ApplicationSupport/Adobe/CameraRawFolder/LocalCorrections but I don't have a localcorrections folder within the camera raw folder. Everything I can find about it is from before the major update. Any ideas or suggestions?
Include new tools in the next updates?Sometimes I wonder why Camera Raw, there are some simple tools, which extend in the edition of the type photographers:Correction tool for red eyes, with yellow to white adjustment, for correction of yellow Teeth to white.Dissolve - Liquidy tool on one of the camera raw flaps. In removing spots with how to add holding Ctrl, but can not remove part of the selection. It would be cool with another key with this option.Sorry my bad English. And if it is posted in the wrong area, I apologize to the moderators.
Good evening. Tell me please. I'm having issues with Camera Raw. It just hangs, I can turn the sliders, but there is no photo to open. You have to end the Photoshop robot and start all over again.Notebook - Mac book pro M1.I already updated everything, but the problem started again, it doesn’t always happen, once in a while.
Folks This last update of camera raw 12.3 creates .xmp files besides my Canon CR2 raw files.... How do I bake my changed settings back into the CR2 file like have done for so may years before? -David
