I cannot believe this is not a feature yet: When in comparison view, it seems impossible to drag the line in the middle, so I can compare specific parts quickly. This feature exists in the shared images/edits for lightroom for example, and is pretty standard on websites showing any type of before/after view of photos.
I updated to photoshop 23 and camera raw 15.0. Now photoshop crashes when trying to open CR3 files in camera raw. whole thing runing on macOS Ventura 13.0.1. Photoshop will only open raw files when camera raw 13.1 is installed - problem is then that CR 13.1 doesnt support my Canon EOS R5. Ive tried resettting both Photoshop and Camera raw settings to no use. Ive also deleted all adobe apps and creative cloud app and then reinstalled everything again. Any solutions out there
This is one of my highest hopes for Lightroom First, to get this out of the way: - U-points are great when they work: but they don't always work, and they have their limitations... - they are not a panacea... It is my hope that Adobe will tackle the same problem that U-points solve, only do a better job than Nik did, and preferably open the technology for use in both Lightroom and Photoshop proper so it can be used with third party plugins too. I have a vision for this that could go on for pages, but I'll refrain, and just iterate the purpose. Often when I look at a photo I think: Gee: If I could just alter the color of ... in this one region, without altering ... it would be perfect. PS - This is just one of many possible examples. Put another way: How to specify the target for various adjustments, without having to explicitly paint the mask. One of the genius features of the U-points is the "anti-point". Its an intelligent, adaptive technology. You say: Get stuff like this (by droppi
Had to get a new computer and it has win 11. Got Photoshop CS 5 reinstalled. Installed CR 6.7. I use a Nikon D300 which is supported. I can't get camera raw to open jpg by just opening image. As in I could open image and camera raw would automatically open.Camera raw will open in Bridge, but I don't use bridge. I can use Open As camera raw and it will open in camera raw. Would like to take out the extra step and have things the way I am used to. I have searched the forum and elsewhere for suggestions.
Hi - I'm on MacOS 12.6 (Monterey) and current Photoshop (v24.0.0) and Camera Raw(v15.0). Before today, if I right clicked on several photos in the MacOS finder or in PhotoMechanic and selected Edit in Photoshop, all the files were loaded into the ACR film strip at the same time (important for panoramas and HDR).Today, I selected 3 files (.NEF) and attempted to do the same - only two files appeared in ACR, then when I cancelled out of that edit, ACR re-opened with the third file. This happened either from PhotoMechanic or Finder. Very strangly, I just tried to open different files (3 at a time) several times and it worked as expected, but the original 3 files still exhibit the behavior. Has anyone else seen this behavior? Fortunately, I was able to work around the problem by dragging the three problemeatic files into an empty Photoshop window and they opened together. Thanks,Don
Photoshop is not getting launched post processing in Camera Raw. It exits an goes to Bridge.
Re Camera Raw 13.1. There is no Crop tool panel at all so I I can't crop , straighten, or change perspective.
I tried out a Z9 this past weekend, but none of the raw fils will open in PS. All software is up to date. PS 24.0, Camera Raw 15.0, Mac OS 12.6.1
I have a mere 11 .dng files that need repairing and I'm hoping someone with the right software could do it for me as I can't afford to buy the software just for those 11 files. I'd be really grateful for any offers of help.
I have an OMDS (formally Olympus) camera. Standard images are 20MP. The camera provides two levels of high resolution enhancement by sensor shift. The first is Hand Held High Resolution. This produces a nominally 50MP composite image using hand movement for sensor shift. The second it Tripod High Resolution. Here the camera is fixed and the sensor is moved by algorithm producing a nominal 80MP image. If processed through the OMDS OM Workspace software, quite pleasing images are produced. There are two levels of processing, standard and using the AI Noise Reduction plug-in.I've done some experimenting and in terms of rendering detail and sharpening artefacts, I've not been able to get LrC to replicate the quality produced by OM Workspace, close but not as good. This is quite remarkable give that OM Workspace is free to OMDS owners. I suspect this may be due proprietary sensor shift algorithms being used but I don't know.
When working in photoshop 2023 I cannot safe what I do I Camera Raw 15.0 when working with Geometry. Other changes like seems to work fine.

Since I've updated the Adobe creative suite I've come across a problem with RAW files in Photoshop. When I open the RAW file up from Camera RAW into Photoshop it is much, much paler. Has anyone else noticed this? A glitch/bug or have I missed something here? Has anyone else noticed this? (I've applied no editing at all to this image in Camera RAW). Thanks in advance.
Hello Everyone. Recently, I learned how to create LUTS inside the Photoshop by creating Adjustment Layers, and Exporting them to use Inside Premiere Pro. I noticed, It only works when you have adjustment Layers only. I would like to know if there is a way that I can manipulate my Image Inside the Camera Raw. For example, adding White Balance, and Play with Temperature, and Tint, and later export It as a LUTS, so I can use it Inside Premiere Pro. Thank you very much.
Updated tp PS 2023 ecosystem last week, 3 issues encountered: 1. Bridge: When a file is selected and and viewd at 100% along with others and return to thumbnails, the originally selected file and the last viewed file remain selectec; previously only the last viewed file remained selected. 2. Bridge - When adding my own keywords in IPTC core, the "ENTER" key no longer commits the edits. 3. ACR - After editing a mile or multile files, the OPEN button no longer opens PhotoShop. MacBook Pro Monterey 12.6 Tanks in advance.
On a MacBook Air, M1 chip, MacOS Ventura 13.0 Upgraded to Lightroom Classic v12. Creative Cloud lists Photoshop, Lightroom, Lightroom Classic and Camera Raw as "Up to date". Photoshop, Lightroom, Lightroom Classic have operational "Open" buttons.Camera Raw, however, is greyed out, and there is no "open" button. Any help with this, please? Thanks, C.
When I go to open camera raw I get this: GPU device has been suspended. Get device remover and determine right action. This is in photoshop 2023. My email: <removed for privacy>
After some editing in Camera Raw (more then 4 actions) nothing happens when I click open (in Photoshop). I have to save the picture as a .tif file on the harddrive, and then re-open it in Camera Raw to be able to redit the file in Camera Raw... Havent seen this behavior since Camera Raw was born!
Hello,I just upgraded to PS 24.0 ... Camera RAW 15.0.I created a Camera RAW preset and saved it under "Save Settings" - also under "Create Preset"on the right side of Camera RAW under the three dots.I also confirmed the same preset is set under Bridge > Camera RAW Preferences > RAW Defaults > GlobalIt is also visible when opening RAW settings from the bottom of Camera RAW.Whenever I open a new / fresh DNG image the preset is not applied ... all sliders are on 0 Please help!
Hi, everyone -- hope you can help me. Since Photoshop just updated, my RAW files don't open automatically into Camera RAW. Also, when using Geometry in CR, there's no option to constrain crop. Last, in Optics, there's no option to do automatic adjustments (vignetting and distortion) or chromatic aberation. Did I change a setting or something? I'm using Windows 10. Thanks in advance.
I recentlly updated Camera Raw, the update included the option to open the photo in photoshop as a smart object. I changed the camera raw preferences for this to be the default. However, when I use the camera raw open object button to open in photoshop, the photo name has changed. A "-1" has been appended. I want the JPG image saved from photoshop to the original photo name + .jpg (without the "-1"). As is, I will have to remove the "-1" from every photo from camera raw saved as JPG in photoshop. Is there anyway to prevent the name change while still having photoshop open as a smart object set as the default in camera raw?
I've done something to change my brush cursor from concentric circles to crosshairs and I don't know how to change it back. Help, please...ACR version 15.0.0.1264Thanks (in advance),Peter
Hello. When I open a RAW file in Bridge (to Camera Raw) I can adjust the Grid size using the Grid overlay (attached Crop Tool 01). If I then click on the Crop Tool the grid is 9 sections and the Grid overlay icon is shaded (attached Crop Tool 02). How can I adjust the grid to be much smaller when the Crop Tool is active? This only started after the latest update. Thank you.
Hey there! I'm trying to set up Droplets to automate a bunch of gruntwork when editing photos. I've had it in the past set up so that I was able to open my RAW files in Camera Raw, make whatever edits I wanted, exit out of Camera Raw, and then finally click-and-drag my photos onto the Droplet and watch Photoshop process all my images. But now, I'm finding that when I click and drag my photos onto the Droplet, they open in Camera Raw, bringing the process to a halt. Anyone have any solutions for this? Thanks 🙂 I'm using a Macbook running macOS Monterey, and Photoshop v24.0.
