Camera Raw

The profile for the Canon RF16mm 2.8 STM was created with an error. The very edges of the frames are bent. At the same time, JPG from the camera and conversion through DPP completely corrects these distortions. This lens has mustache distortion. I am an architectural and interior photographer and I see it right away. Please make corrections!

I just bought a Canon EOS RP and I can't open the file using Photoshop CC 2022 software. Got this error message. "Could not complete your request because it is not the correct document type". I've updated the Adobe Camera Raw plugin to 12.2.1 and uninstalled/reinstalled PS. Still no luck. I have also read many articles on several websites but nothing works. I don't want to use DNG Converter because there are too many photo files.The file format is .CR3 like the EOS R. Any suggestions?Sorry if my writing is a bit messy because it's not my native language, I hope someone can help me. Thank you

In the last version ACR V15.0 is no longer possible to enable Lab color readouts right clicking (windows) in the Histogram. How can I get color samples in LAB remaining in my default color space?  

ACR version 15.0.0.1264  Windows 10 when selecting a person the different body parts can be used as mask (new feature).  The last one proposed in the list is the person's hair. This has been translated in French as fibre. IMHO cheveux or chevelure would be a better translation.

I am using CR 15 on mac os 12.5.1. Recently I noticed some really bad effects on certain images with white walls: blotchiness, noise. I use minimal adjustments with a white balance. However when I reset to default the blotchiness goes. I have since been processing my raw files in Capture One. Camer files refrom a Fufifilm gfx100s. I would be keen to know ifanyone else has experienced this or could throw any light on the problem.   Cheers

My AMD RX 580 GPU started crashing when using Camera RAW a few days ago. I solved the issue by determining that when I used the masking tool in camera raw, the screen would go black, and required a re-boot to resolve. I was able to roll back Raw 15 by using the Camera RAW plug-in installer 14.5. so far so good.

Is there any way to make color lines showing image levels thicker, or make the area under the curve solid-colored as it was in earlier versions of ACR? Level adjustment which I was using for every image previously became almost useless to me in two most recent ACR versions. I did not ask earlier assuming there is no answer, but things got worse with a new 4k monitor (in combination with my senilis eyes) so I am extremely frustrated.Thanks.

Hi! I've been using Photoshop for a while and just yesterday it seems to have updated and now every time I open a JPEG it automatically opens in Camera Raw first. The issue is that the Camera Raw interface is too big for my laptop screen and the 'OK' button is off the screen, meaning I can't actually get out of CR or do anything with it. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance!

Hello,I'm having trouble understanding how CameraCalibration matrices are calculated when converting CR2 to DNG. My understanding was that these matrices were dedicated to adjusting the color matrices of a given DSLR model to a specific camera of that model. But when I convert a CR2 file captured with my own DSLR to DNG, I can see in the DNG's metadata that these matrices are not set as identities. When I look in the dcp file corresponding to my DSLR, it does not contain any CameraCalibration matrix. I therefore deduce that the DNG converter calculates these matrices and adds them in the metadata. However, I can't find a clear explanation anywhere on how and from what parameters they are calculated.In the DNG's metadata's both ProfileCalibrationSignature and CameraCalibrationSignature are set to "com.adobe" what indicates that the CameraCalibration matrices should be used. The tag ProfileCalibrationSignature is in the dcp file but the tag CameraCalibrationSignature is added by dngConve

Running M1 Mini, lots of disk space, all apps up-to-date, etc etc. Since updating to PS24.0.1, Camera Raw will freeze PS, making me do a "Force Quit" and losing my work. Happens every time.I've re-installed Camera Raw and Creative Cloud, but no change.While using the ACR app, it's sluggish and unresponsive. I don't expect a slution here, but please fix this bug. Thanks

Hallo ihr lieben,  Vielleicht kann mir jemand weiterhelfen oder weiß etwas neues.Ich habe das Premium Abo von Adobe bei dem auch diese PSC App mit dabei ist. Leider ist die App nicht kompatibel mit meinem Galaxy S 22 Ultra. Wann bzw. Wird es überhaupt irgendwann ein Update geben für die neuen Handys. Ich finde es schade ein Abo zu haben und nur die Hälfte nutzen zu können. Vielleicht kann mir ja auch jemand von Adobe direkt dazu antworten:-)Danke

HiThe camera raw 15 does not open photoshop 2023 on my Macbook pro M1. This problem started a couple weeks back. Whenever i try to open a raw image thru camera raw, my system hangs and i have kill PS2023. I have tried to reinstall PS2023 but it is not helpingAny suggestion on how to fix this issue? Thanks 

Hi, I would like to record as an action in Photoshop (running the latest and greatest version) - the Camera Raw's AUTO buttion invocation.  When I tried it in an action, apparently, the action records all the settings for a particular image that the AUTO button has selected.  That's not what I want. Does anybody knows how I can overcome this problem?  I like to invoke Camera Raw on one image, "Click on the AUTO button", and then proceed with the next action.  Right now, I have to do that step manually - and I have thousands of images waiting :-(.  Thank you. Ting Sern

When in LrC I have a bunch of standard and custom effect presets available within the masking function that I can apply to the mask being created; they do not appear when I'm in ACR.  Is there a way I can copy those masking presets from LrC to ACR so they are available to me there as well? It would be kind of a pain to have to recreate them. I can't seem to find out where they are stored. Any help would be appreciated. I'm on a W10 64-bit PC with the current latest and greatest LrC, PS, and ACR.

Is there a way to uninstall Camera Raw? Every time I try to open a file in Photoshop, the file opens in Camera Raw. I do not use Camera Raw, but have no 'Uninstall' option available. Creative Cloud DesktopPhotoshop 240.1,Windows 11Thanks.

I want to return to the original photo I already edited in Light Room, and give it some tweaks.  I can find it in Light Room but it is greyed-out.  The error message says it is a duplicate of a photo already in the catalog.  After I edited the photo, I moved all my original photos onto different hard drives, so the computer is probably unable to find them.  The option of finding the photo with the little exclamation point is not offered for this particular photo.  I can't make sense of opening the catalogs.  Also, I seem to have both Light Room CC and Light Room Classic on my PC.  I think I edited this photo on CC.  Any tips as to how to proceed?  I'm also unable to re-import it.Thanks.

RAW-Dateien mit Camera Raw 15.0 als Jpeg gespeichert, sind in etwa halb so Gross (5-10 MB) als Raw-Dateien mit Photoshop in Jpeg gespeichert (20+ MB).Einstellungen (bei CR und PS) sind mehrfach kontrolliert, identisch.Woran kann es liegen? RAW files saved as Jpeg with Camera Raw 15.0 are about half the size (5-10 MB) than Raw files saved with Photoshop in Jpeg (20+ MB).Settings (CR and PS) are checked several times, identical.What could be the problem?

I want to edit DNG files in ACR but it appears that it is is not saving edits as I make them. It only saves edits when I hit 'Done' or 'Open'. This is bad news if ACR crashes which it has done several times today. To work around this I want to periodically save my edits. I have setup the 'Save Image' dialog File Naming to use the Document Name and nothing else (see attached). I would expect that ACR would then over write the original file (yes I _want_ ACR to do this). However ACR ignores my setup and persists in appending '_1', '_2' etc to my saves. Adobe support say this is what's supposed to happen but surely if I tell it not to add a suffix it shouldn't. I have seen other posts on a similar subject that involve running renaming scripts but that seeems way to complex for function that Word/Excel does without thinking.  Is this a bug or have I missed something?

1) Open a file in Camera Raw hosted by Bridge 2) Create a mask using the new "People" feature, or use the new Content Aware tool (I guess other new features will trigger the same error, but these two are the ones I've tested) 3) Click open   When Photoshop opens, this errors message appears (and the file doesn't open):     "Could not open "(file name) because the file-format module cannot parse the file"   I'm using Windows 10 and the lastest Bridge/ACR/PS versions at the time of writing, but more people have reported this to me on my blog/YT channel.

I have updated both bridge and PS. the problem of camera raw can not open PS  was gone. Thanks Adobe fix this.

Or x2 clicking a smart image. I have a super fast PC, what the heck is this? No I don't have acronis true image either. I am running 128GB RAM, a ryzen 9 4.2 GHZ and a 1070 graphics card with SSDs. Anyone?
