Hi, I noticed that it is not possible anymore to update a brush preset after changes have been made. Once I choose a brush preset, paint and then adjust any setting the preset is shown as "none" and the changes can not be save/updated with the previously chosen preset. Bug or feature? If feature it makes no sense having to save new presets over and over. Oliver
here is a typical example of my workflow on a job I'm working on today: select 179 images in Bridge Open in Camera RAW (I have Raw presets set to apply auto tone correction & WB) Select all images and apply Geometry: Level correction Click Done and return to Bridge which then generates updated previws of the selected images. In this example the first 32 images retain the Auto tone settings, whilst the remaing 147 images have their tone settings reset to 0 but retain the geomerty setting. I then have to reopen the 147 images to re-apply the auto tone settings and then click done. Only then do the XMP correctly save the auto tone setting. In previous versions of bridge I did not experience this problem. This started a few months ago with ACR 13. I will try to reset prefs etc to see if that helps????
On this page it is said that Adobe is investigating the option to update Lens Profile Creator program to 64-bit. What is the present status and where can we keep track of progress on this? I'm eager to have the Lens Profile Creator available under macOS Catalina.
Hey there, Can someone tell me how I can copy the edited setting of a Raw picture in Camera Raw 12, in order to copy it to another picture? I have been using this tool very often in for instance Lightroom by just using the controls + 'c' & 'v'. Nevertheless this is not working in Camera Raw. Also the tabs such as 'Image' and 'edit' in the top of my screen are not showing me anything when I try to click on them, so I can not copy the setting my clicking in the tab menu either. What am I doing wrong?
I know others have had this problem before but I cannot find (or have missed) an answer. Suddenly Camera Raw, whne invoked from Bridge (Open in Camera Raw) is way too large to use. I have tried rescaling the desktop, moving from one monitor to another (I have a two monitor setup with Raw and Bridge usually on the left and PS on the right). Adobe tech support took control of my computer and spent 45 minutes trying everything with no success and then told me to contact Microsoft (Right, that'll work). If I invoke the Camera Raw filter from PS it is sized appropriately. I also have fiddled with my NVidia settings and still no go. Anyone have this problem and solved it? Windows 11, btw. Thanx!
Adobe, please bring back the camera-specific and other profiles in Camera Raw. I can't believe you would delete these very helpful tools.
Hi, With the upgrade to the latest verion of Adobe Raw, the dialog box always opens with the right menu items scrolled all the way to the bottom? Is there a way for it to open with with it scrolled all the way up so I dont have to scroll up the menu with every image I open?
Waarom kan ik camera RAM niet geactiveerd krijgen in een legale versie van Lighroom 6. ( cd versie)
PS ver 23.4.1Camera Raw ver 14.4.1.1122Windows 10 64 bitNvidia GPU Geforce 1070ti ver 512.96 I keep getting an unrecoverable error in PS with my NVidia GeForce 1070Ti GPU. I have been using this GPU for years with Adobe products and rarely have any errors like this. I recently upgraded to Nvidia's studio driver ver 512.96 And this is when the errors started. But also PS and Camera Raw were updated. I am planning to roll back to ver 472.47 which is the latest version before 512. The errors seem to occur when working with Neural filters. I saw a post that stated Neural filters only work with the Graphics Processor turned off. I find that hard to believe. The message says the GPU accelerator has been disabled but I am not finding that to be the case. Anyone else seeing this error?
What used to take seconds to save photos in camera raw is taking hours today... I noticed I needed to make an update in camera raw, so I've been trying to and keep getting an error telling me to close Photoshop. It is closed. And yet, I still keep on getting this error! I've tried all sorts of things..: restarting my computer, checking in task manager etc. I don't know what is all of the sudden making it slow, but this is a big problem for me!
Without an apparent reason a RAW file, after the end of my work, when Iclosed it apperead in Bridge as an .acr file. I tried all I can but it is impossible to oper for meI need help.

If you have a local gradient adjustment mask with multiple 'sub masks' underneath (like "Mask 1" and then under is Radial Gradient 1, Radial Gradient 2...etc — which all inherent/share the same adjustments) and then want to move then all-at-once, is this possible?Seems like i can only do one at a time. I have multiple versions of this one group shot and the only thing that changes bt them is the framing, so applying the mask to all then moving them all at once for subsequent versions would be really nice.
Hi. I have been using camera raw/photoshop for quite a while and feel silly asking this question, but here goes:I normally crop in photoshop, not camera raw. However, in camera raw (using latest version 14) there seems no way to crop to a specific height/width in inches/cm/pixels etc. For example, if I choose 1x1 in the drop down menu and then open in Photoshop and select image size, it is indeed in 1x1 but how are the dimensions in pixels or inches that are displayed determined? My second query is the "constrain to image" checkbox in acr. When I crop it doesn't seem to make a difference whether it's checked or not. How does this work please? Cheers.
I have a folder of hundreds of raw files.I like to convert & proces all of them using the auto WB & auto all settings (Exposure, Dontracts etc within Basic panel) in Camera Raw. I created an action whereby it will do the above. However I noticed the software will only take the auto settings of the first file (which I used to create the action) & apply that to all the otehr files, instead of analysing each fileand apply an auto settings specific to each.Is there any way to achieve this? Thanks.
When opening Olympus ORF files in Photoshop 2022 (via Adobe Camera RAW), the resutant image size is 5184 x 3456 pixels. If I open the same file via 'OM Wrokspace' or 'ON1 Photo Raw', the image is 5184 x 3888 pixels. The thumbnail veiw on my MAC also shows the 'full size' image. Why is it opening at a reduced size in Photoshop? Thanks. Neil
Since a recent update of Photoshop and Camera Raw, when I select the Crop & Rotate functions of Camera Raw, it comes up with the "Constrain Aspect Ratio" control locked. That is, when I move a crop border, the other 3 crop borders move correspondingly to keep the same aspect ration. I want it to come up unlocked -- how can I change this behavior?
I am creating masks with the brush tool in ACR, and several times now, I have lost my mask edits. At first I thought I accidentally hit "Cancel" instead of "Done." *This is 100% not the case.* I then considered the possibility that my mask edits simply weren't being saved correctly after clicking "Done." So, I decided to do some edits, save the file (clicking "Done"), reopen the file, make more edits, save the file again, rinse and repeat. I figured this would safeguard me from losing a whole bunch of edits in case of shoddy saving. This worked fine until it didn't. Several times now, I've opened files only to discover that some masks--masks that were saved properly at some point (confirmed)--have been lost. Oddly, the mask is not lost in its entirety, but what appears is a much earlier version of the mask, both in terms of the coverage and sliders. This is beyond maddening. Tech specs: I am editing RAW files from a Nikon Z7ii in ACR (Photo
Since this week's Photoshop update, I have noticed that any local adjustments I make in ACR (radial and graduated, for example) are not being saved with the .xmp file, ie: I am re-opening previously processed raw images and whilst all the colour, exposure and other adjustments remain as per my edit, all the local adjustments have disappeared. Anyone else noticed this?
When saving a file that was originally a JPG to a DNG file, the camera maker notes are written incorrectly and have become corrupted. Together with Phil Harvey (author of exiftool) I analysed the issue and we found that the makernotes are copied from an area in the original file that is off by 12 bytes; the maker note data is prefixed with 12 bytes (from other metadata tags) and the final 12 bytes are missing. This is problematic as my workflow uses information from the makernotes… The problem has been around for a while and is still present in the latest verion of camera raw (14.3). If you need, I can provide example files. Hope you can fix this soon,Hayo Baan
Like a topographical map, except instead of showing altitude, show sharpness/in-focus-ness.Would allow one to see at a glance where the focal plane lies, and how well focused is the photo at the focal plane (and everywhere else), and what is the depth of field.PhaseOne took a whack at this in CaptureOne. I think their implementation has some weaknesses: shows focal plane, but no indication of how well focused at the plane, and gives no sense of depth of field, but is still quite useful.See http://feedback.photoshop.com/photosh... for a related idea, that would go nicely with this one.If you like this idea, please remember to click the '+1' button below.
When I try to apply any masks on my photos in camera raw, they come off very buggy. Brushes are pixelated and then finally load, only applying to certain parts of the image regardless of where i brushed. Radial and linear filter are very snappy. Radial doesn't allow free adjustment and snaps to certain sizes. Linear will either snap on the photo or snap outside the photo making it impossible to add any kind of masks to my photos.
I updated my Camera Raw today and notice that the crop tool is always set in the lock position. Since I'm always cropping in odd ratios, I have gotten used to having it unlocked as a default. I try setting it multiple times and after searching for what felt like an hour, I couldn't figure it out. Is there a way to set the default to unlock setting in the crop tool?
Hello,i would like to ask if there is some way how to increase or decrease the actual exposure of multiple photos by some "offset" value...The Auto function is doing overall good job, but very ofted I would need to take existing exposure created by Auto function and add for example 0,2 points.
I may be being slow but have tried searching the forum without success. Is there a way of applying a Photoshop Action to a batch of files in ACR and it processing them all together ?Many thanks in anticipation. Using CC on Windows 10.
