After investigating the new ACR (12.3) i have downgrade the ACR to V12.2. Being a loyal heavy user and a teacher of ACR / bridge / photoshop, as i edit hundreds of images simultaneously on each project,i consider to start learningCapture 1 - as the “new kid in town” that listen to his costumer. the last ACR is a night mare for me. as i see in this forum, its many users night mare, and we are not talking about getting use to the new interface. we are talking about many features that are gone or changed now, that made my workflow with multiple images “run” fast and efficient. now , after trying the V12.3 on a few projects, as each one of them too 3 (!!) times more than they used and meant to, i downgraded the ACR to V12.2 (and have issues with the “preview editing images on Bride…. so as i wrote in the beginning, i consider move to “Capture 1” here are some examples of issues with the new interface that are slowing down the workflow tremendously (of many):
I know its a much older version, but can I get the 5.7 camera raw update to try?Using bridge is nice, and trying to sort through old and new files, but I cant see the new files.Using Mac OS 10.13.thanks!
Before you tell me this is ACR "working as intended" with cropping, please take a look at my illustration graphic below.I can't see this being a "feature", it's just messed up.This problem started occurring a couple of releases ago, and still hasn't been fixed as of 13.1.0.658The (tedious) workaround is to:Apply Previous Settings (ignore the fact it messes up the cropping etc)From the same ... menu select Copy Edit Settings (or just hit Ctrl+C)UNDO (Ctrl+Z), which will remove the bad Apply Previous SettingsSelect Paste Edit Settings (i.e. Ctrl+P) to apply all those settings you wanted WITHOUT the messed up cropping and tiled edge pixels. Looking forward to a fix! Thanks Adobe 🙂
Hello!I am having issues with camera raw when editing RAW photos. It is so slow I cannot work with it at all. Last time I checked (around v12.0) , I had this problem and had to do my work on another pc, then haven't used it for some time. How is this still an issue several versions later? I am very annoyed. I tried all the steps mentioned in troubleshooting. Thank you for your help, and I trust you finally fix this issue so I can use my products that I pay money for. Best regards, Robert
It seems a ton of people are experiencing freezing in CameraRAW 13.1. Trying to drag any sliders causes it to get very choppy and then eventually completely freeze up the Mac. The only way out is to do a force reboot. It seems the temporary fix is to turn off Hardware Acceleration. Go to Photoshop->Preferences->CameraRAW->Performance and set Use Graphics Processor to OFF. It will now work pefectly without freezing up, however, it'll run super-slow. It's at least a doable fix until Adobe fixes the bug. -Brian
I am also having problems with Camera Raw freezing when making adjustments to an image. The last time I tried to make an adjustment, after restarting my computer, my entire display turned completely red!
On older versions of ACR, you could set it so that sharpening is only applied to preview on screen only - and not on the image that it imports to PS. Can you do the same on the current version of ACR? If so how? Thanks!
Previously, the Camera Raw Preferences dialog had the following setting:"Apply sharpening to:" All images "or as the option" Only previews "Where has this attitude gone for? Im Camera Raw-Voreinstellungen-Dialogfeld gab es bisher die Einstellung: „Scharfzeichnen anwenden auf: „Alle Bilder“ oder als Option „Nur Vorschaudarstellungen“Wo ist diese Einstellung für “Details: Schärfen nur Vorschau“ geblieben? nikondetlef
Sometimes, when i click "done" the global adjustments are saved fine but the local ones get erased. It seems to be random.
When "Apply Previous Settings" is executed, which settings are included? Seems that previous crop is included now though not local corrections, gradients, spot removal etc.
I set my Canon 90D WB to 5500K and ACR reports it as 5600K. Set to 5700K ACR reports at 5800K. ACR reports all K settings 100 higher than set. I am using "Adobe Standard Color" and "As Shot".Also, ACR reports TINT at +13 to +17. My 80D however is right-on in ACR! Canon Tech Support says to open in Digital Photo Professional 4 and see what it says.... Perfect data read!!5500K and Tint "0". Both 90D and 80D are correctly read in DPP 4 so the problem is with ACR and the 90D. How can I get Adobe to revise or update their handling of the RAW Data from the 90D ?This is causing me all kinds of trouble with white balance, magenta/green, and Kelvin settings!!!!
HELP! I am so hacked off with the new 2021 version of photoshop and ACR I'm also fed up of rolling back acr to 12. something or other I've finally given in and trying to get used to it. As we stand I'm leaning towards getting rid of CC my workflow just to slow now..Anyway will someone please tell me on the adjustment brush in ACR where is the feather control please. Also while I'm here can you tell me where the little tick box for auto mask that used to be under all the adjustment sliders has been hidden. I'm about ready to throw in the towel with Adobe CC. Oh and I use Mac if that makes a difference to any help or response to my questions Thanks
Hi, when I open multiple raw files in ACR 13.1, select all and choose a preset, it only applies to the first image of the batch. Other basic edits do however apply to all selected files. Please help.
macOS Big Sur; ACR 11.4.1; Bridge 2019The ACR GUI changes depending on how I open it. If I select 'Open with Camera Raw' from within Bridge, I get the normal interface. But if I double click an image in Bridge, ACR opens looking like this: I have uninstalled, cleaned and reinstalled everything several times. It is annoying but not fatal as I can still get to the 'usable' interface. Advice would be welcome......
After the new update my computer freezes after a minute or so ..help!!!!
I installed camera Raw 13 then freezes my computer many, many, many times. It is a pain in the ass!
New 2020 ACR will not reduce down to fit screen so can't see menu on right in my HP Elitebook laptop resolution 1920 x 1080. Full screen is larger than my screen too.
i can't open any raw file, the following error appears: "the request cannot be executed, this is an incorrect document type", photo format ctg, nef, cr2. What could be the problem? and how to fix it?
Why does Camera RAW look like this? I chatted with Adob yesterday for over 1 hour and this is what happened after they tweaked my computer. When I upgraded to Camera RAW it would crash every time I would open thus the reason for me to contact Adobe and then agent did this. I have an important job to get out and I don't know what to do. HELP PLEASE.
When looking at several files in ACR, there used to be DONE, OPEN, and SAVE. Save is gone. How do I select multiple files in ACR the Save them as JPG file without opening them in Photoshop.
I would appreciate some help/advice regarding a problem arising after Adobe updated my Camera Raw and Lightroom on Friday. I have tried to navigate their help system, which has left me completely nonplussed! Basically all was perfectly fine until the update, now when I open an image up the latest camera raw and do what needs to done, then try to open it up back in Photoshop CC 2019 the image ‘freezes’ immediately, then I have do Ctrl/Alt/Delete to close Camera Raw as the PC reports it not working! Has anyone else found this problem and/or has any help or advice to offer? Or how can I get back to the previous state prior to the update? I am running Windows 7 Pro.
I have spent about eight hours with Adobe support in three different sessions trying a number of fixes to no avail. It seems the first level tech support is unable to find the problem and simply repeats previous efforts. Camera raw freezes after processing one image at most. Just installed the new PS and ACR version (imac, OSX 10.14.6, german). When I now open a RAW file from bridge the complete application is in english. My complete system is german...When I open the camera raw filter inside (german) PS, then the application is in german. Can I change the language of ACR somewhere to my system language?
The December 2020 Camera Raw update disabled the ability to use my mouse wheel to control the size of the spot. The slider still works, but is much slower and impedes my workflow. Anyone have a solution? Dell XPS 15. OS updates have been completed. I access ACR via Bridge if that makes a difference.
Hi guys, I have tried everything I know, but for some reason once I updated my OS to Catalina, all of my finder windows will no longer show the "Icon Preview" which I have made sure is checked off in "View" options for all windows. I have updated Camera RAW plugin and have no idea what would be causing this. Please anyone who can help me as I can't sort through thousands of images without seeing where I am.
