Not able to preview/publish VR project in captivate, getting error "file:///P://localhost:51180/preview/HTML5Temp255728065484Pre/index.html"Have anyone face above issue? 

macOS monterey will be launching in the next couple of months, and for anyone who has followed these forums, you'll know there is usually a compatibility issue with Adobe Captivate and new macOS releases - specifically with Adobe not having a version of the software that works with the new OS, sometimes for months after release. I've learned from last time and will not upgrade until I hear otherwise - but I am also hoping to buy a new Mac, which means the new OS will be pre-installed. Considering that Adobe would have access to test versions of the new OS months in advance of release, I am hoping they have listened to feedback from last time and will at least communicate with customers to let us know one way or another. Of course, this should in theory be easy for them to do - considering they will have a database of all paid customers. So, if anyone from Adobe is reading this - can you let us know if: a) you have been testing Captivate with the developer versions o

I have taken the plunge and started using a MACBook. Not sure if this is the right way to go but wanted to try. The issue is fonts, I am creating a responsive project and I am trying to use a number of fonts. As per customer spec. I have activated these within Abode Fonts, and in my design window they show correctly, when previewing or publishing they are showing a Times. They are listed as Abobe Fonts in the Character Selector.  Not sure what I aam missing is there a way around this? I have seen some Javascript somewhere but will it solve this issue? Many thanks in advance.

Hello, I'm working on a training module in Captivate that has 1 video broken up into 11 sections over 11 slides. The project has branch awareness so I don't have play/pause buttons in the skin. I built a play and pause button under my video and at the beginning of each slide I have a button that pops up on the video slide "Click here to continue." Everything functions fine except the "click here" button comes up transparent. In the settings I have it set to 100% opacity and in Captivate it appears to be solid but when I test in our LMS it appears transparent. Is there a setting causing this? On the timeline I have it stacked: Slide, then Slide video, a Smart shape, "click here" button, and then Play button and then the Pause button. I'm not sure why it comes up like that if anyone has any tips or links that would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,I'm new to responsive projects, so trying to figure this out. I've watched a lot of YouTube videos, which have been very helpful. However, in those the learner is told to mark fluid boxed as "Optional" that they don't want to appear in mobile screens to help with content...and to have "Squeeze to row" as the wrap option. I've done all of this, and the fluid box remains. I've even gone through and marked each child and image in the children as optional. Thanks!

Before I commit, and after getting stung after the Big sur update and Captivate not working as expected, screen issues/ rendering etc.Does anyone have any advice on whether I should consider purchasing this product again?And have all fixes been addressed as prior to this latest Mac Os update, Adobe seemed to be very lapsidasical about giving out any resolution time for a fix.  At which point i had to direct my effort at an alternative product, which wasnt great for my clients.

When I scan an object by clincking on brothers icon on my computer, beside the object there is adobe information to its right. there is a section called adobe export pfd and another section called edit pfd. How do I get rid of the adobe information to the right of the object i scanned????

I have embedded a video from Vimeo in a course (current Captivate version). The video is also shown, but when it is played it starts again (loop) - but only for the first few seconds. This is obviously a bug in Captivate.

Hi All. I've been using Articulate for years but I'm still a newbie in Captivate. I have created a module and need to share it with my stakeholders. I am working from within a major global corporation and so security is tight and certain sites are restricted. My module is a SCORM file with a quiz, and I have published as HTML5 only. I chose to zip the file and save it to my desktop initially; I then unzipped the file and I have that on my desktop as well. My first issue is that I can't play the module from my desktop. Regardless of what browser I use, clicking on the index_scorm HTML file (in the unzipped folder) results only in a spinning wheel. If I can't open my own file on my own desktop, I don't know how to share it with others. However, I have also tried to load the zipped file to Scorm Cloud. I run into the same issue, though - upon launch, all I see is a spinning wheel in an otherwise blank browser window. Does anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong and how to

I have a simple 4 question pool followed by a results slide. Based on the results they should go to either a "pass" page (if they score 100%) or a "fail" page (if they miss any questions).   What I have done is set "On Enter" (of the pass slide, slide 31) to "Execute Advanced Actions," and then I've set up what you see in the attached image. Untitled 2 is if the same variable is equal to 100, then continue. No matter what I score, the course doesn't jump to the "fail" slide (slide 32). What am I doing wrong?Thanks in advance!

First time responsive project developer here. 🙂 I've been watching Paul Wilson's tutorials on YouTube and learning so much. I'm following the steps he took to add a background to the parent fluid box for a master slide. When he does it, the image takes up the entire slide. When I do it, I get a white "buffer"/border around the left and right sides and bottom. Any ideas on how to fill the screen with the image? TIA!

Captivate 2019 ver. 11.0.1.266I have recently been getting the following error messages when trying to preview HTML5 in Browser or when Publishing.  It occurs every time. The preview HTML5 in browser does NOT work at all. All I get is the little Publish failed message.  However, when publishing, it gives the messages but still produces a published file set that appears to function properly.  Has anybody else run into this problem?  Everything seems to work, it is just irritating to Not be able to preview the project in the browser.

I'm not even 100% sure how to word this question but... I have my captivate course published to html5 because we need the CC output. Now we are trying to figure out a way to let people access it without having to send out the zip file. Is there a way to link to the html file from another site? We are using a system called Constant Contact and would like to find a way to upload the file and have our customers/viewers just be able to cliek and play it, but i dont have any idea how that would work. any input is helpful. thanks!

When importing presentations, the right side of all images are being removed.  However, the powerpoint itself is still the same size.   Just images that extend to far right are missing.  I'm using a mac and captivate 2019.

Hi,Could someone tell me if it is possible to change the number of quiz attempts post publication?I have been having issues with users failing a quiz 3 times, then not being able to try again because of the way that the hosting LMS works. Is there a setting in an XML file that I can modify to change from 3 attempts to Infinite?  Thanks.

We double purpose ppt slides for content in instructor-led training courses. Additionally, we import these slides into Captivate, add narration to make available as MP4 files.  We'd like to expand and use the Training Mode to create more self-learning hands-on experiences using Captivate.  Training Mode creates slides during the recording of every click.  We'd like to then export all slides created in the Project to PowerPoint to use for historical reference and instructor led courses.  How can we do this using Captivate 2019?

Running MS-Windows 10 and Captivate 2019.I am going to have to re-install my OS. Might have to wipe my HDD.I only have one project. If Save the .cptx file, will I be able to recreate the project just by putting the .cptx file back in the "My Adobe Captivate Projects" directory?

Hello,I am using Adobe Captivate 11.5.5.553 for creating simulations and courses. Now, I have two questions here: Can we control the speed of the slides in .html output? Do we have any playback controller functionality in Captivate - like to run the course in 1X or 2X or 3X speed?Is it possible to add close captioning in video publish output in Captivate? I know it is easy to turn-on the CC in html output, but do we have the similar functionality when we will publish in video format?  Appreciate your support in advance!!

I would like to make our course as accessibility complaint. After enabling the accessibility object wise and slide wise, no visuals are showing while previewing the output in HTML5 and in LMS.I followed the same procedure as mentioned in the below forum: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/captivate/using/creating-accessible-projects.html I am not sure why I am getting blank slide after adding the accessibility for the objects. But, I am able to see the visuals and accessibility when I preview the course locally in Captivate: Preview -> Project.To precise, 1) Accessibility and slide visuals are not showing when I preview the output in HTML5 and LMS. 2) When I preview the output locally in Captivate, object interaction is not behaving correctly as per the script added after applying the accessibility to object wise. Thanks for your answers please. 

I can’t get Software Simulation or Video Demo to capture the selected screen no matter what browser I choose or screen I choose. It just captures the background of my computer on several slides. I am using Macbook Air. The Apple Team at Montefiore installed the app on my device, and they requested I reach out to Adobe. This work fine on a Dell laptop. I am using Mac Air and I am on Big Sur

I created a quiz for 360 learning and I would like to report data for each of my questions. In the doc of 360 learning it says that I have to use elements like for example cmi.interactions.n.description (where "n" is the number of the question").Where can I set values for these elements in captivate ? I can't find any field in Captivate.Do I have to create a js file and set them myself ? Thank you for your help.
