Captivate

I want to have users do a pre-test and a post test so I can see how much they learned going through the module to see if it's effective. From what I understand, even if I use the Mulit-SCO Packager I will still always get the tests weighted score sent to the LMS.  Is there another way to do this?

I am working with a Quickstart project and want to embed a youtube video but I can't seem to replace the captivate stock video that is currently there. Been working with this for days and still no luck! Any ideas?

 I'm using the built in fill in the blank Master Slides. When I am working in the editor there are forward and back buttons on each question but when I preview they disappear. In the quiz options section I can click "back" under buttons but I'd prefer to have these buttons that are already there show up. What can I do? 

I see Adobe have posted on this forum sttaing that 11.8 is now available for subscribers. However, there is absolutely no info on where to find the download, and it does not show up under "check for updates". Does anyone have an idea?

Hi, When using Captivate 2019 to create and localize videos, I have encountered an issue, which was never encountered in previous Captivate versions. This is quite frustrating. Does anyone know why this happens and how to fix it?The steps to reproduce this issue are:1. Create a new Captivate 2019 project.2. Add 2 new slides with only Closed captions and audios added to each of slide.3. File -> Export -> To XML.There are extra characters in the closed captions (the orgrage characters), such as:{\rtf1\ansi\ansicpg1252\deff0\deflang1033{\fonttbl{\f0\fnil\fcharset0 Arial;}} \viewkind4\uc1\pard\fs16 Click Download Adobe Captivate below to begin downloading Adobe Captivate.\par }4. If translated the xml back to Captivate, the closed captions will:a. contains these extra characters,b. some translated characters as garbled. 

Hey all,When using a web object to display a PDF object, how do you hide the bar that appears in the webobject at the top? This is the display bar with page navigation, zooming in/out etc. I only want the scrollbar to be visible.Thanks!Note: If there is a better way to embed scrollable PDFs inside a Captivate slide, I would appreciate if you let me know. I need help replacing event video and maintaining dimensions of the video being replaced. Even with dimensions locked the video that replaces it get's placed on the stage at 100% of it's size (at least it's in the correct position.) Any solutions are greatly appreciated. cheers,Brian

We have developed application based test me module, Where we are using Quiz Review option to check the entries, Now it is shoing all entries but we need to check if the entries are correct or wrong. Currently it is not showing.

Hi! Hopefully someone can help with this. I got this issue where text is blurry on my slides. I've tried the variable hack and it solved the blurriness but now my text won't align correctly and the font size is wrong on render. Does anyone know a solution? Thank you!

I am having trouble getting the screen reader in Edge to work, it works fine in Chrome. Does anyone know how to fix this?  

Is there a way to remove the text at the top of the table of contents that says "Slide Title" with a little flag next to it?I've searched and can't seem to find how to turn that off. Thanks

Hello!  I'm trying to record a software simulation using Captivate 2019.  The issue I'm running into is that the text captions generated after each click don't register the application I'm recording in. Regardless of what I click, the generated text caption just says "Select," so I have to manually edit every single caption. For example, in the screenshot below, I hoped the automatically generated text caption would read "Select My Profile," instead of just "Select."I'm recording the simulation in Chrome, and I've run into this issue across every website I've tried. So I recently started getting the error "Update required - Your browser or operating system is no longer supported" while I try to install Adobe Captivate. We are running Windows 10 20H2. I have atttempted the reg fix found in this article https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/update-operating-system-and-browser.html?internal_browser=true#fix-error. But the fix did not fix the issue. I am the administrator on the computer as well.

Hi, I am trying to add a simple link to a text but if I save it as video it will not work. I have tried creating a button, adding a web object and not sure how many other things. Saving as video makes everything not work 😞Any ideas how i could make it work but within a video?Thanks!, Patricia

When I try to open Adobe Captivate. It shuts down immediately and I receive the error message "An error has occurred during activation, please contact the Captivate support team." Hoping not to wait until tomorrow to hear from the Adobe Tech support.  Thank you!

I have been publishing final Captivate videos to an HTML format and have been sure to check the "Scalable html content" option in the publishing window. Still, the final product is consistently turning out larger than my browser window and requires me to scroll down/right to see the progress bar, FF/Rewind buttons, etc.  I've attached a screenshot of the left side of  one such video. I had to avoid capturing sensitive information, but you can see that my toolbar at the bottom is cut off because I've only scrolled halfway down. You can also see that I have a horizontal scroll bar. I have not tested these on the final LMS that they will be hosted on (I do not have access,) but I wanted to raise this question to anyone able to help to try and solve that issue before it becomes one. Is there a separate setting I should be monitoring to ensure that these videos scale accurately?  Thank you!
