Captivate

I have seen this elsewhere fir captivate 5.5 but seems unanswered.So Captivate 9 on a macsimple quiz when answered says congratulations or you failed. I cannot change the colour or the font for these messages (they need to be white on the red background and a certain font)Is it now possible in 9 to edit these messages in Quiz?

After endless testing, I am asking for help. I am unable to successfully import translated captions back into Captivate. The import process says it completes, though only <=20 elements are imported. I have tried different variations of the file. I started with a 3 page project (~10 elements) and it was okay. I slowly added pages/elements and it always stops at 19 or 20. There are no error messages.  The import process was working last year- probably 2017 version.  I am using 2019, and just installed the latest update to see if the problem would resolve itself.  No luck. Any ideas?  

Next issue coming up, but I hope someone can help with this. I have a couple of youtube videos that I need to embed into my project. This worked before without much problem, but in this case the videos just wont play.For reference the video I am testing things with right now is this one: https://youtu.be/LbR7iV7Mv_0 Embedded as slidevideo with the Youtube option:Shows preview image before loading up the first frame, it then gets stuck on an endless loading screen, none of the buttons (info, share, etc) are clickable. Embedded as eventvideo with the link to the youtube video:Wont accept the link at all, shortened or unshortened, with https:// or without.It only allows me to paste the link in there if I change it to http:// with would then redirect to https:// but then it gives me an error message as soon as I hit place video. Embedded as a Web object using an iframe:Shows a black window with a youtube play button, clicking on this gives me the error message "An error

So in Captivate (9) I can change the quiz result messages in Quiz PreferencesBut where can I change the font and colour?Have looked at so many different things in the Object Style Manager but simply can't find these messages...

Hi everyone, i made a Video in Captivate for my coursea and added a *.PNG at the Start of my Project as a Poster (Frozenframe) , in order to shown with by Captivate generated play Icon. (This part is censored with black bars on the pic)In this Project i use also a Playbar, which i generated via using Skin-Editor. But as u see in the Picture this playbar appears also in my Projectstart (Frozenframe) as a part of my Poster. The Problem is, i do not want to see it on this Poster. I tried to hide Playbar in the first slide, but it still appears. Hi! I am new to Captivate and am having a problem with two slides out of a 13 slide presentation. The slides have text that appear at different times, and when viewed in preview or presentation mode, the slide pauses after the first text appears and I have to press the play button to have the other text on the slide show (in other words, I have to manually advance). This is only a problem on two slides; the rest that have text appearing at different times are fine. Does anyone have an idea what the problem might be?Thanks in advance for your help!

I am currently working on a new project based on a previous one. It involves quite a lot of javascript and I am trying to copy an item from one document to the new one. I keep getting the error message that my desired item name is already in use:"[my object name] is either a reserved keyword or is already assigned to another item. Provide a different name for the item." I know that there is no other item in my entire document with that name. Some trial and error showed that simply deleting and repasting an object would already cause the repasted item to be automatically renamed and won't allow the original name anymore. Of course I could change the name, but that would mean a lot of work to change it everywhere in the code.Is there any way to "reset" what captivate thinks is already in the project?

I am new to Captivate and have created a responsive project. When I go to the Properties panel to format text in Buttons, text in Shape boxes, or text in Text entry boxes, there is no Effects drop-down box in the Style panel. Do I have to perform some action to enable it? I am on a 30 day trial version.

Hi. I'm using 2019 released captivate.I want show up 'next slide button' ONLY if I click all pictures.This is my porject.There are six pictures there, and I made them as button.If I click the picture, then I can go to certain slide that has explains about clicked picture. Again, I want to show up next slide button, only after I visited all the explain slides about the pictures.How can i do that? Help me plz. 

Hopefully this hasn't been answered already, I've looked thru and do not find anything that corresponds to what I am trying to do. I have a set of slides before the actual quiz at the end of the course, these TEB's are for entering the feedback related to the course, no validation required. I will just discuss the first feedback slide here.I have two TEB's, each with a unique variable assigned, both TEB's are active to the end of the slide, have done both "for rest of slide" and drug to the end of the timeline,  Validation is not checked, I use an advanced action assigned to the slide advance button, to check that at least something has been entered into the TEB's, my problem is that the first textbox is active and available to enter text, but the second one isn't active and available for input until the slide advance button is pressed and the advanced action to verify entry is entered(The only thing that the avanced action does is verify that values are entered and make visi

When I listen to a slide, it is fine but when I publish it to my hard drive and listen to the file, there is double audio that makes the file completely not usable? Is there a setting somewhere that I missing? I just got Captivate on Friday. 

Hi, I cannot paste screen cap images captured in WORD to my slides. This has never been a problem before today. Help appreicated. 

I am having an issue where my project, that consists of 75 quiz questions, is not publishing. I have searched for an answer but cannot seem to find anyone else havng this issue. I was just able to successfully publish a 45 question project to our LMS, but this 75 question project just won't go through. Is there s suggested limit on how many quiz questions can be in a Captivate file? Any suggestions/help is appreciated!

Hello, I posted about this earlier in this thread - but need an answer on this urgently. I have created an Interactive Video scenario using an embedded Youtube video. I do not own the Youtube account so cannot set up/force closed captions to display through the account.  I can not find a way to add my own closed captions to the Interactive Youtube video. It doesn't look possible. Does anyone know how? If not I will have to download the video and upload locally to add the closed captions.  Thanks, Reuben

I have a Audio-Test.cptx file and where I have added audio to the first slide and Jump To action on two buttons.Audio plays fine at first however I want when user Jump to any other slide and comes back to slide one audio should stop.1  I have added Advance Action on Enter on slide 1 like below   2  And on Exit added the below action  However when Jump back from second  slide or 3rd slide it plays the audio on the slide one, please suggest. I have attached the file also. 

Hi All,New user to Captivate here and mainly interested in working with 360 images and VR.I am trying to create a 360 slide with a number of hotspots that play audio when clicked. I have been able to do this fine (actually very easily so enjoying captivate so far) however when the 360 slide first appears any audio ascoiated with hotspots plays automatically all at the same time. The hotspots subsequently work as expected and play the appropraiate audio when clicked. So if I have three hotspots that trigger audio I get all 3 audio clips playing at once when the slide first appears. I cannot for the life of me solve this. I have tried a number of new projects and also one of the template projects included and get the same behaviour. Using Windows 10 and updated to the most recent version of Captivate today.11.5.5.553Thanks in advanceStephen

I am thinking of using Adobe Captivate (as a total beginner) for a new venture. I plan to take a 4 day course here in the UK first qtr of 2021. Are there any recommendations for Adobe Captivate reference books or other material? There are many vids out there on youtube etc but as with other Adobe products I use/used, I find a good reference book is worth its weight in gold.

Hi.I have a big problem with my links when I publish my captivate SCORM:I have a Captivate 2019 project and I've created some buttons. When someone click on them It would open a Drive file.It runs perfectly on my preview but when I publish my SCORM it didn't work. Is it possible to create a "fill in the blank" question slide with more than one word?In other words, a question like, "The most popular pets are _____ and ______ ." (With the correct answers being "dogs" and "cats.")I've seen some old posts about this, but nothing recent - and I'm hoping there's a solution now in Captivate 8.Thanks in advance for any help you can provide! There is a Captivate project with Animate animations in it.  These animations play when the project is hosted on Internet Explorer but do not appear when the project is played in Chrome.  The developers wanted to delay the Captivate next button until the animation finished and added the following code to the project-  window.parent.parent.window.cpAPIInterface.pause();window.parent.parent.window.cpAPIInterface.play();Would appreciate any ideas on how to fix this.Thank you,Susan

Hello, Currently our staff is using Captivate 2017.  We are in discussion on upgrading to the latest version of Captivate.  Some member are hesitant on upgrading.  What have been your experience with the upgrade?  We have approximately 250 courses in our catalogue.  Looking for advise, lesson learned, or tips.Thanks in advance.

I am unable to install Adobe Captivate 2019 on my Mac OS Catalina.  After downloading the file twice thinking it was corrupted, I still get the following error message: "The Installation cannot continue as the installer file may be damaged. Download the installer file again.".  Though I have done that, I keep getting the same error.

I have set up an advanced option to email to an address on submission with the text boxes I wanted to see in the same option, but how do I capture the text entered by the student in that email?

I have been trying to add a png image from the library to a fluid box that already contains one image. Instead of adding the image and resizing both images, this move overwrites the original image with the new image. If I want to get the desired result, I have to drag the image from the library to another (empty) fluid box and then drag it into the desired fluid box. I feel like I'm missing something really simple, but I don't know what. Please help.

Hello, everytime I try to generate a videodemo Captivates crashes without offering an error message.Just intime i klick the Tab, the programm closes. What can i do? with kind regards
