Captivate

Hello,I have recently had the problem where the "HTML5 in Browser" preview does not work. All I get is the "loading" animation.  I have tried several different projects using both Chrome and Firefox.Preview "In Browser" works fine.Let me know if you have any ideas!Thank you.Ryan

I've set my preferences to play 5 slides when I want to quickly preview an edit. However when I select Play Slide I only get the slide that I am on playing. How can I quickly preview my next 5 slides or whatever setting I set in Preferences? I haven't used Captivate in four years ... has this function been removed/changed? Thanks for any help!

Hi everyone,  I am working on a quiz within Adobe Captivate. On the file, it clearly shows Quextion X out of 12, which I want the person to see, but then when I preview it Browser, the progress doesn't show.  I checked my settings and everything seems to be ticked off correctly.  Anybody know why ? 

Coming from Storyline 360 where I can just insert a character and a video on a slide next to each other I am not seeing a way to do this in Captivate 12. I know its possible by adding an additonal block, but am wanting to combine these two things into a single block. Other then creating a new design option and creating/edit JSON is there no other way?  TIA

Hi, Recently I downloaded to new captivate v 12.5.0.35 and tried the software simulations but it's imposible to use. First,  I tried to use the application window mode but it became totally white and unsusable when selected, this happened each time I tried (sreenshot attached). I figured that I would need to use the other available options but no matter which I choose, at the end of the recordingthe program crashes and an announcement that Adobe Captivate quit unexpectedly appears and the error report (which I attached here). Any have good advice of how can I make this work? I'm a Mac user (Sequoia 15.3). Thanks ins advance  

I'm trying to showcase some of my work from the new Adobe Captivate in Adobe Portfolio, but I'm having trouble. How can I find the URL link for my Captivate file to be able to link it to the Portfolio?

I am designing a course on the all new Captivate -12.4 version. I have the menu page centralized in the course in a way that the learner needs to go back to this page evrytime he completes a module, till all modules are done to have the test button appear. The voice plays everytime the participant returns to this menu slide. How do I have the voice naration played once only?Any ideas please? 

I have a 10 question at the end of the course, and when I preview the project, the preview freezes after q2 and doesn't advance after I click the submit button. It happens once more on Q8 . Any ideas to resolve this ?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing this same issue - I've noticed that sometimes when I preview/review a file with timed animations (intended to appear on-time with voice-over audio attached to the slide), the animations appear severely delayed compared to what I set in the timeline - in some cases, long after the VO has completely ended and the slide end should have passed.  Sometimes if I move the animation timing back and forth a couple of times in the timeline and reset the preview/review, it will fix itself. But not always - and even more concerning, sometimes when I get it fixed and send the review off to a co-worker, they report back that they are not seeing the animations appear in the same review link where I just witnessed it working fine. The randomness is frustrating and makes it difficult to pinpoint the reason behind this issue. I am currently working on a project using Adobe Captivate 12.5 and have encountered a few issues that I would appreciate your assistance in resolving: My project includes blocks using timeline narration (text-to-speech with captions) and blocks with attached audio (without captions).Mixing these two narration types has caused some issues.Specifically, I sometimes need to insert a gap between two captions in the timeline, but there doesn’t seem to be an option to do this.Is there a way to introduce spacing between captions in the timeline to improve readability and pacing?  

I am currently working on a project using Adobe Captivate 12.5 and have encountered a few issues that I would appreciate your assistance on. this is my first Captivae project, and here's one of the issues I encountered: I hid blocks on publish and set them to progressively appear once the previous block has finished playing.When a block becomes visible, I want to animate the text using the "Typewriter" entrance animation.Since the built-in interactions only include emphasis animations, I manually added entrance animations for the text.This method worked for some blocks but did not work for others, even though I ensured the settings were consistent across all blocks.Is there a known issue with text entrance animations when used in this way, or is there a recommended approach to make them work consistently? 

I am currently working on a project using Adobe Captivate 12.5 and have encountered a few issues that I would appreciate your assistance on. this is my first Captivae project, and here's one of the issues I encountered:I created flip cards using an image grid as a workaround to upload narration since the audio option is not available in the flip card widget.I applied the "Typewriter (By Word)" entrance animation to text inside the flip cards.The animation works fine under normal circumstances.However, if a user clicks another flip card before the first card's text animation completes, then revisits the original card, the animation stops at the same point where it was previously interrupted.The only way to reset the animation is by resuming the timeline. (Note: The timeline is paused when a flip card is clicked.)I would like to know if there is a way to ensure the animation always restarts properly when revisiting the card.

Summary: I am seeking help to figure out how to prevent users from skipping slides when rapidly clicking after activating a Clickbox that goes to the next slide.The problem:In a simulation, if I click on a Clickbox that is set to ‘Go to the next slide’, the next slide that loads will skip to the next slide entirely if I keep clicking repeatedly. The Slides that are Effected:Each slide that I am able to skip has the ‘Go to the next slide’ function either in a Clickbox or a Button, but no other Interactions. (When I say “Skip” I mean, rapidly clicking is somehow activating and forcing the simulation slides to ‘Go to the next slide’ before it has a chance to load completely. If the slide is given time to load completely, clicking anywhere on the slide doesn’t allow the “Skip”. Hello everyone. I have started using Captivate 12.5, but I have questions I need help with. 1. Where is the library or where to find the project's assets -like own images, sounds? 2. Is it possible to reposition images? I tried the padding option, but didn't move the images on the stage. 3. Where do I find the sound produced by text to audio? I would like to edit it with Audition, which is an Adobe app. 4. Can I import images - more than one at the same time? I recently downloaded 12.5 after using Captivate Classic and am having trouble doing even the most basic of tasks. Is it really not possible to just add a text box that isn't bound to the slide in some way? I want text box on the left third of the slide with an embedded video component on the right 2/3's. In Captivate Classic i could do this in 10 seconds and I've spent an hour reading guides and watching videos for v12.5. What am I missing?  

Hi, I have a question regarding accessibility in Adobe Captivate. In the e-learning courses we develop, all content must be readable using a braille display.Currently, when linking to an external URL that opens in a new tab, we indicate this by writing something like: www.thisisexample.com (opens in new tab).However, I would like to replace the text "(opens in new tab)" with an icon, such as a "square with an arrow out of the right corner", to visually indicate to sighted users that the link opens in a new window. At the same time, I need users relying on a braille display to receive the same information, for example:www.thisisexample.com - icon: webpage opens in new tab/window.Is there a way to insert icons into text fields in Adobe Captivate while ensuring that they include appropriate alt text or accessible descriptions for braille display users?Thanks in advance!

Would like the video it to play immediately as the slide is entered, with no playbar. Hello, After publiching the quiz into SCROM 1.2 and uploading it on successfactors, when I check the results of quiz takers, the report includes Pass/Fail but I need to get the score or percentages. What am I doing wrong?

Using Captivate Classic Assessment is a chronological software assessment and the student passes when they reach the end of the assessment.It's an open book assessment with a TOC that tracks student progress as the student completes certain sections of the assessment. The TOC does not allow the student to skip to the end. If the student needs to stop the assessment and continue at another time, will Saba/Cornerstone be able to let the student pick up where they left off? Does anyone know how make this happen? Thanks in advance for any and all help!

When checking accessibility, I noticed I am unable to tab through all of the radio buttons except for the first button in the block. How do I fix this?

Hi, can someone help me set th filmstrip such that I only get ONE picture in full above the thumbnails? Now I get a series above the thumbnails, very inconvenient. 

Is it possible to customise the player and TOC players in the new Adobe Captivate? I used to be able to do it in what is now "Captivate Classic". 

I select Adobe Captivate Help under Help and I get Captivate Classic help .... Took me a few minutes to realize I wasn't losing my mind because I couldn't find the help associated with 12 😉 Very frustrating as I'm reading all about the featues I'm used to using , but not seeing it on my screen. Can someone point me to the online help for the new version? Thanks in advance!
