Hi Community, Is there a way that publish settings could be set up globally instead of on a per project basis? My projects publishing requirements are pretty static, so wondering if there is a way to have all new projects use the same publish settings. Thanks in advance.

Hello community, Text to speechI have duplicate a slide which had a text to speech narrative on it. Although i deleted the audio from its place I can still see (at timeline) and hear the text to speech when playing. Any thoughts? Serial NumberI have bought the monthly subscription although I can't see my serial number to activate it. I have looked where it should be but with no success. ButtonWhen I hover on top of a button it disappears.Am I doing anything wrong? Last PointI'm a completely new user of captivate. Hello all, I really hope someone will be able to offer me some guidance on my issue. I work for a large healthcare organisation which has been using Captivate for several years but only just upgraded to the 2019 release from Captivate 8. We have been publishing most of our courses in the past in SWF, although as the imminent change of Flash in the next few months has prompted us to start publishing courses in HTML5. Since upgrading to the captivate 2019 release and publishing in HTML5, we can’t seem to open or view our published course content, it seems try to open but only to display either a blank white screen or a static loading symbol/icon and nothing happens after. For a little context, we host all our published courses on an internal webserver and then export the link to our learners/users. Before, when publishing in SWF we use the HTML document (always the name of the project followed by .htm) in the published files as the link to the users, this always works perfectly

In the book “Mastering Adobe Captivate 2019” it states: “In addition to regular Question Slides and the Drag and Drop interaction, other Captivate objects can also be scored and tracked by an LMS. These are the three interactive objects that have the ability to stop the playhead. These objects have been covered in Chapter 5, Developing Interactivity. They are the Click Boxes, the Buttons, and Text Entry Boxes.” What information is reported when the author selects “Include in Quiz’ and “Report Answers” for a button?  Or what information can be reported by doing so?  What would be shown when reviewing Learner Quiz Scores “By Question.” Thanks!

When my users fail a quiz, retake it, and pass it with a score of 100%, the LMS is reporting that they passed the course, but reports the score as 80% rather than 100.  I have "SendTracking Data at End" selected in Quiz/Reporting. Would appreciate the community's thoughts on how to correct this.

Is it possible to create a field where a student can input data and have that data go to, for example, post a topic on a web forum?

Hi Community! Let's say I have a slide with a few objects and all have a duration of 1 second. If I paste an object from another slide that has a duration of 3 seconds, Captivate expands the duration of the slide to accomodate this new object. However, I would like for the object to use the target slide duration timing instead. On a side note, I have noticed sometimes pasted objects conform to the target slide duration and at other times they change the slide duration. Unfortunately, I can't see what differences between slides cause this behavior. I am hoping that there is a setting somewhere that would allow me to control this behavior. Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I am using SmartShapes as simple "click to continue" buttons on many slides and I have just run across the second problem with the "Down" state of each of those identical buttons.After copying one of these buttons for use on the same slide, the text in the button - set to be aligned in the middle - is now resting at the bottom of the button, even though the setting does not change. To fix the text positioning I have to click either "Align Top" or "Align Bottom", then click back to "Align Middle".  Annoying, but it only happens when I copy a button from within the same slide. If I bring in a copy from another slide in the same project, it doesn't occur.  Minor. Meh. No big deal.Today's problem, though, affects every button in every project.The latest "update" to my client's desktop configuration failed to re-install Flash, so now viewing my .PDF training modules requires my students to go through IT for a Flash install. When editing text in smart shapes for fluid boxes, the Character section under the properties menu is empty and I am unable to change font size, type, and color. Previously this was not an issue and I was able to format the smart shapes. I am still able to add/delete text, but I cannot format the text anymore. This is a new bug in Captivate 2019 that I've encountered a couple times now. Usually it goes away after clicking other objects but now it's stuck like this in the responsive project. Anyway to fix this? 

I work on a MAC. I have Microsoft Office 360 and use PPT. I recently uploaded CAPTIVATE.  Problem:  I imported a PPT slide with two JPEG images to CAPTIVATE. The images do not upload to the Captivate. How do I transfer the JPEG images w/ the import?

When I add an entrance effect to an object that has a shadow property, specifically a SmartShape with an outer shadow, the shadow enters before the rest of the object. Is there a setting that will make them synch? 

I find this feature so annoying, is it possible to turn this feature off? I have lots of cut and paste to do and I seem to spend all my time realigning them. I can reduce it to 5 (by default) but I would love the option to turn this off. Any ideas? Many thanks in advance 

After saving my interactive video project, I cannot add or delete any content. The video now appears in the filmstrio view as a static image. I can play the project as in HTML 5 preview, which has all of my KC slides and bookmarks, but once I return to Captivate to edit nothing is there to edit. No timeline, bookmarkd or KC overlays.I am on thr trial version. I am debating spending my own money to purchase Captivae for my high school chemistry classes. I not impressed by Adobe's support or products.Here is a screenshot.

I've encountered an odd issue with the video player not showing all the video player options when opening the slide for the first time. Which is quite annoying, because I want to allow the user to set the video to full screen. I've tried to search for an answer for a while now, but it appears this problem is not that common (or my internet search skills are subpar). At first I thought it had something to do with the loading of the video itself or that I had done something wrong when adding the video, but this does not seem to be the case. I've run tests using the following setup on 3 different up-to-date browers (IE, Chrome, and Firefox) with the same results:New responsive project with 2 slides.Event video added to a fluid box on the first slide. What I have to do to make the video player options appear:Open the published project.Open the slide with the video (no options present).Navigate to the other slide and go back to the first slide (options are present).&nbsp

Hi There, I am creating quizes for my courses in 2 forms - default single choice sets and custom freeform sets (consists of drag and drop, single object selection). Throughout the course I am using custom Back and Next buttons for navigation. 1) Although the default transition in a Quiz slide is Click anywhere on the screen to continue, I need to use Next button (that will be enabled when the feedback is revealed). Although I tried many advanced and shared actions, the Next button is not appearing when the feedback is revealed. Hi, guys. I use Captivate to create e-Learning and my published SCORM has been uploaded onto LMS successfully but when I have to review it on your LMS. Loading notification always shows and I have to wait for a while for the content to continue playing. My published SCORM is about 1 hour and its size is 192,000 KB with many objects, video media and interaction. 1.What can be the main factor for our published SCORM to run on your LMS not smooth?2.How can we solve this problem to run it smoother? Thanks for your all kind recommendations

Hello, I have an issue with my Captivate project. I have:1. Slide 1 (360 slide) with few hotspots, and the last hotspot will direct the learner into second slide.2. Slide 2 is an autoplay video, and I have assigned "Go to the next slide" as the On Exit action.3. Slide 3 is another 360 slide and I also put few hotspots. However, in both preview and published file, the hotspots in slide 3 are missing. I have tried to look for solution, but it seems that I am the only one who has this issue.Anyone knows what might be the cause of this? Really appreciated.

Hi guys,I wondered if this is technically possible with Adobe Captivate 2019...I am trying to produce an animation in Captivate that is continuously looping.What I had in mind was a red ring on top of a circular button that is continuously fading in and out as an indicator for the user to click this button.NOW, in the good old days before flash was not supported etc, I would have done an animated SWF with a transparent background BUT now I have to look at alternatives.OK, I could make something similar in Adobe Animate and export it as a .OAM file with a transparent backgroundas well BUT seeing as I am making a responsive e-learning project with breakpoint views, I am going to have to make a different version for each view in Animate with different dimensions.I was thinking of an animated PNG but these don't seem to be supported.What are my options?Could I create a shape, select use as button and then go to Execute Advanced actions and then add some javascript  functionalityto mak

 How do you export a PDF file into Captivate that excludes the link that takes participantsto my Adobe account.Once exported into Captivate it shows the entire tool bar plus my name in the far right hand corner which is a live link to my Adobe account.Please advise.  Thanks.Denise A.

I understand that going forward many browsers will not support Flash Players. And the widgets in Captivate are mostly SWF based. Now i want to understand, if there are any widgets that can be used in our captivate projects and that can be open in all browser even without the flash player support.I want to show Certificate at the end of my captivate course with Autopopulating user name, kindly let me know if this is possible using widget or any other alternatives. Thanks in advance!

Hi Everyone,I'm working on a eLearning project for a while and I have been working on my 5th in this serie which I use the same fonts for. Yesterday I had published the eLearning to have a look at it and closed my computer. Today I wanted to publish it again without the quiz, but got a popup telling me "This project will now link to your Typekit account" I have no idea why I get this message as I haven't changed anything and the project got published yesterday without any Typekit message. Does anyone know what I need to do and especially why I now get this message? I'm running Adobe Captivate 2017 

I would like my responsive project to go full screen on my mobile, like Articulate 360, but cant seem to find any way of doing it.Thanks in advance for any help.

For example in the first image, actually, there is no space between Chinese character and quotation mark, but the close caption in the publish course shows in the wrong position when I preview in HTML5.  I try to add space before the quotation mark as the image 2 attached, it shows a larger space than usual. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? ps. I used the font MircrosoftYahei.

Hi,  Great if someone can help.  I use Captivate in Moodle.  I want people to pass and then download their certificate.  Seems simple.  However, when I test and fail (on purpose) then 'retake' quiz and pass and try to get certificate.  Moodle has only recorded the failed score.  Therefore activity is not complete and I cannot get certificate.   How do I set up captivate so if a learner retakes the quiz via retake quiz button the lastest score is reported to moodle?   Many thanks,Alex
