Captivate

Hello!Is it possible to move a project in Adobe Captivate Classic version 11.8.3.8 to the all new Adobe Captivate version 12.4.0.20? 

What kind of program is this? You can't customize it and it doesn't work properly. It just suddenly shut down in the middle of hours of work. It said to restart with the backup file. I did and it didn't save anything, there is no backup file.    [abuse removed by moderator]

I keep getting an unexpected error when i try to group/nest quiz slides. It causes the softwarwe to go to a whie screen and I ahve to force close and reopen teh project. Any thoughts on how to fix this?  See screenshot attachment.

Hi All, I've inserted few short videos on a slide that should run automatically upon entering and just loops, I dont have the intention of maintaining its original ratio (Vids1.png), but when I previewed the slide it goes back to its original eventhough it has been modified and locked (Vids2.png). Can you please let me know if its really possible to do on Captivate Classic 11.8? Thank you.

Hello everyone,I have a German Captivate installation. Sometimes I produce English content, and sometimes German content.However, when I embed videos, they show the usual control buttons (Play, etc.), and the tool-tip text for these buttons is in German. This is, of course, quite problematic for English content.Is there a solution to quickly adjust these tool-tip texts?Thanks in advance.

I am having trouble with an LMS called Percipio. I have tested my scorm in cloud.scorm.comit passes. When I send it to Percipio LMS.  Some of my usese who pass the test do not get regitered, but some do for the same course. Has anyone had troubles using Percipio before. I will recommend my client not to use them since they cannot give me any support on this isssue, and keep telling me it is the scorm file not taking any of the blame.   I just want to know if anyone else has had good or bad luck with them.ThanksM 

This question is similar to this one: https://community.adobe.com/t5/captivate-discussions/prevent-users-from-retaking-quiz/td-p/5967503  I want to prevent a student from seeing other pooled quiz questions after they have passed a quiz and received a passing score from the LMS (Oracle HCM Learn). I created a quiz with one attempt, complete on Pass/Fail, and no reviews.  The first slide contains a button that will either either let them start the quiz (Continue) or send them to the last slide where they are told that they have already passed and to close the window (Jump to Slide). On the button I used Advanced Actions and set cpQuizInfoPassFail to 1 if they had passed previously. On the first attempt after loading into my dev server, the button directed me to the quiz (good!) where I passed it. I closed and the LMS recorded a passing score (good!). When I reopened the quiz I clicked the button and it did not send me to the last slide, it sent me to the beginnin

Has anything been done about printing A4 (certificates etc) in Captivate Classic:In older versions, someone created a widget but it didn't work in html publishing, is there a modern version of it.  I've seen an EvolveMedia widget online but not sure about it and whether this offers html publishing potential Otherwise, are there other solutions to help with this, including how to use Advanced Actions to help hide the printer button when printing.Any help, advice or signposting would be greatly appreciated 

While viewing asset properties in the project library, some files display the entire path to the linked asset. Example below - note how the full path is shown:Others, do not show the full path. Note how this only shows the image name:Now the problem is that when I go to Update/Import/Edit... the image, the no path assets can't find the linked file. After I browse to the correct file and hit "Open" to relink it, Captivate still does not remember the path I JUST put in. Hitting Update/Import/Edit... does the exact same thing even though I had just relinked it. This is occurring on multiple Captivate projects and on two separate computers so I'd have to think it's the software. There is no rhyme or reason (that we can find) as to why some show and allow the full linked path and others don't. Need help ASAP. These no path assets aren't rendering with the same resolution quality on publish as is saved in the source file. Thanks!Brad

Hello,  This is for preview mode only. Play bar is disabled. I have a "try again" button on the last slide of the trainings that brings you back to the 2nd slide (first slide is the title page). When you go through the training the second time the click boxes work but the failure state does not. So an end user could be clicking anywhere but the click box and nothing appears. (all other states are disabled) For the input field, the text that the end user had submitted on the first pass through is still visible and you cannot move past that slide. Hitting enter, clicking....nothing. This is an issue for all the trainings I created but only on the 2nd pass through. Anyone else have this issue? I would guess its working as designed, and I can see why the input fields would function this way, but the click boxes not displaying the failure is silly. Anyone have any solutions to this issue? I still need to play it as SCORM files in the Cornerstone appliction we use for e-learnings b

Hello, I am working on a course on Captivate, including some full-screen videos. On tablet and mobile previews, the videos don't rotate and don't go full-screen. How can I change this behavior?Thanks

I'm using the infinite scroll feaure for my trainings and when transitioning from one scene to the next the "next" scene doesn't start at the top. At times it is just below the top or sometimes it is in middle of the next scene. Is there way to prevent this from happening? Why does it happen so I can fix it in the future? 

Hi there, First time posting on these forums having been a long time lurker to a many unanswered question. I'm in the process of transitioning from Adobe Captivate Classic to Adobe Captivate 2019 and was wondering if anyone has figured out a way to have a video (.mp4 specifically) as a background that could loop? This was possible in Adobe Captivate Classic; however, I do not see the file type as an option with Adobe Captivate 2019 (only .jpg, .png, .bmp, .iso, and .svg).Even a .gif could be a workable solution if it's at all feasible. If not, does anyone know where/how we can request features?Thanks!

I'm using the infinite scroll and in one of my scense I have choosen to use the overlay to have "pop ups" to give more details of the topic. However once the overlay is exited the scene goes back to the top rather than staying where the material is, for example in the middle of the scene or even towards the end. How can I prevent that, so the learner doens't have to scroll back down to the list of topics that they need to click? If overlay isn't a good option then what can be used instead to ensure once they close the "pop out" it stays on the list. 

When preparing a multiple choice quiz, we can justify the text to the right or left in the heading section. But this is not possible in the options section. I'm working with a language written from right to left, but I didn't see an option to start the text from the right. Is this possible for the question options?  

The Chrome browser (Chromium) is deprecating the onUnLoad function and Captivate classic still inserting the onUnLoad function into the exported SCORM 1.2 file (scripts).  What options do I have to replace the onUnLoad function from Captivate with something else to continue operations?  How have you navigated around this upcoming issue.  Thank you.

Hi there!I'm fairly new to Adobe Captivate, and am finding my way around.I do however have a question about the radio group component which I have added to a form. I can understand that one would want to "Include in Quiz" and "Report to LMS." BUT, why is there a "points" option, and "Add to total"? Nowhere do I see how to set the correct answer for this item. Infact, having a number of radio group components all on one slide makes sense. It would be really handy. Students would be able to read questions prior to listening. Having multiple choice questions spread over a number of slides is not ideal.

Can you add a custon play, paues button to a slide vidoe widget? The problem is as soon as the video appears it starts playing, it owuld be nice to have a least a 1 second delay before it appears? 

Hi all, we are creating e-learning content with Adobe Captivate 2023, and we see that the index comes out with a black background and a default font, is it possible to change this?  

My question is more about what LMC can do. I have never used one before, but I'm very familiar with Captivate 5. Question 1. Can a LMC pass data to and from Captivate? For example, if I had a test, could the user submit incomplete answers, close the project and come back to it later and have the LMC populate the project with their previous answer? Question 2. A quick search suggests that there are a lot of LMC's out there, including Adobe Connect. Are these all going to be expensive options? I'm not a big player or university, I provide some training to schools, and am really just looking to use a LMC to help me solve a problem where I need to allow users to enter "answers" and then change those answers on different slides, and also be able to span more than one session of the project. HiI have created a simple webpage with some text.I have imported this into captivate as a zip file. I resize the webobject so that the scrolbar appear.Everything look as it should but for some reason I cant use the scrollbar of the webobject.When I open the html file in a browser it behave perfect but not inside captivate.I tried the built in scroll text widget. Same thing. Scrolbar not working.SItting in window and running in edge.Any ideas whats up?

I have several Captivate Simulations and we have turned on captions for success/try again messaging for the Click Box. Some slides only flash the correct message then it moves to the next slide. Others will display correct message for a few seconds then proceed. What is controlling the timing of the messaging for the captions. I have looked and I am not seeing anything that is clear to me. I have just downloaded the latest version of Captivate for Mac (running on apple silicone) and when I try to open Question Pool it crashes. I am not sure what to do. If I can't get this to work I may have to cancel my subscription and look at a different piece of saoftware. 

Hey there, I'm using Captivate 12.4. The blur feature is really greate. I had to use highlight boxes for bluring someting.Here is the problem, I can create a custom theme for myself. Each font, color other settings is working great but I can not customize Simulation Slide features, like I can not choose the font or default color of Insctructions box. And in which universe blur comes with a border in default setting?? Which I can't edit the blur default settings. In each slide I use blur two times, I change the Blur settings %40 to 20% and remove the border for each item.It is really imposibble to customize these settings? I also find customizable settings in under the ProgramFiles folder in captivate with all the themes, buttons and other items. What a surprise I can't find any item related to the software simulation slide items.What can I do for these?
