...Hello !...I'm starting to work on the clock !... (What a challenge !... )I already manage to do many great things... But I have a problem with the rotation of the hands.I want the students to be able to rotate the hands clockwise and anti-clockwise.So I made a "+" button to rotate the minute hand clockwise. I use the cpt effect "rotate 6°" for each minute. And it works fine.I also made à "-" button to rotate the same hand anti-clockwise (using also the cpt effect "rotate -6°"), and when I did so, the hand returns to its original (vertical) position before the rotation !...So for example, if I rotate the minute hand to 20 using the "+" button, and then I want the hand to be on the 19, if I click on the "-" button, the hand returns to its original position before rotating... And this is not what I want !...Don't know If I'm crystal clear !... ...I will make some screenshots !... And I clik on the "-" button one time this happens :So the minute hand returns to its original position bef

I am new to captivate and am building my first quiz. The intent is for the leaner to be brought back to a previous slide if they fail the quiz. I have Go to next slide set for Passing grade.  That seems to work, but Jump to slide on Failing grade does not. The project seems to hang when the Continue button is pressed.  What am I doing wrong?

I can't stand it, I REALLY don't have time for this, Every few keystrokes, I have to wait 3-10 seconds for Captivate to do the last requested action applied to an object. Often the screen greys out and tells me Captivate is "unresponsive". Occasionally it just dumps altogether instantly and there is no recovering the work - main and .bak files are corrupt.  The action could be move, resize, change color - anything at all. This is the Captivate 2017 with the latest update applied, running in admin mode in Windows 10, all  files on the C drive. This computer is a laptop with an i7 6700, GTX 1070 graphics, 512 Gb SSD (C:/), 2TB 5400 rpm (D:/), 64 Gb RAM - what more does this program need? How do I stop this? It's acting like it's accessing data, possibly from a URL, before it completes the action. Is it checking my license status?  I've read and tried everything Rod Ward and Lillbiri have to say about this issue. I have Captivate 9 (latest patches) on another similar machin

We have issues with bookmarking after user logs off and exits the browser and re-launches the course in new browser session. User logs into our LMS and launches a Captivate 9 HTML5 course for the 1st time and watches 10 pages. User then logs out, and closed the browser, bookmark prompt is not shown when course is re-launched.

Hi Everyone,I'm working with a client where we will create over 100 captivate courses. We have a set template that we are using but my issue is, what if we discover an error once we've created all of these courses - going back and making the change over 100 files will be very time consuming. We are using a Master for navigation and look & feel which does provide efficiencies but doesn't solve the problem - A master of all masters would solve the issue.Is there something I need to consider before embarking upon this mission?Thanks

Hello Everyone, I am beyond desperate! i hav been working on a project for weeks (and all day today, saving as I went) and was doing the final touches. I got a warning that I was running out of space on my computer so I deleted the cached files from LAST WEEK (and I am POSITIVE LAST WEEK ONLY) to free up some space on my computer.  After I did this, and returned back to my project (which was still opened) all of my background disappeared.  From there, things got worse.  I saw this message first followed by this:  Clicking "Retry" did nothing, and the compression stayed at 50% and never advanced.  I closed Captivate thinking that it would fix the problem, which it does many times.  When I went to open the file, in the preview window of recent files, it was grayed out and looked like a blank project with a blank title slide. So, I followed the directions here: How to recover a corrupted Adobe Captivate project and found the files and created the zip success

I am publishing a project as a video in Captivate, but while the video plays fine outside of Captivate and in preview, the published version is shaky. How can I fix this?

Would anyone know how to program a Captivate button that will allow the user to print the screen while taking training? I've tried any number of javascripts to print the window and none of them have worked. Help is greatly appreciated! gbarylske

For the last couple of weeks, I've been recording audio using a USB mic + Captivate 2017 on my laptop. It's worked great until the end of last week, when the "Save" button disappeared from the record screen. I've restarted my computer, gotten updates, and waited, and it still hasn't come back. When I use my desktop computer + monitor, it works just fine. Now I can't record because there's no way to save. I just have to close out Captivate using the Windows Task Manager. Any ideas/suggestions? I really need to use the laptop because of my office situation. (screen shot of the situation is below) Thank you!

Hi there,I need some assistance. I am stuck at work using Captivate 9 and I've been trying to figure out how to download assets to it because out of the box there's hardly anything useful there. I have tried a two different ways: 1. Downloading them to my computer from sites like elearning.net and eLearning Brothers and then importing them, but that doesn't seem to work. I go to File > Import and it gives a list: Photoshop FilePowerPoint SlidesPreferences (preferences? I have created a short sample Lesson in Captivate 2017 release.  It plays fine in preview in Captivate but when I upload it (both SCORM and AICC) to the LMS (Cornerstone) the audio will not begin unless I restart the lesson.  The slides all progress with correct timing, just the sound will not play the first time you start it; it must be restarted.  I've tried everything I can think of.  Originally I had the sound starting with an object on the 2nd slide.   I took out the 1st slide that didn't have audio; no luck.  I've added audio to the first slide; no luck.  I added dead space before the audio in the timeline; no luck.  I've set the Fade In to 1 sec; no luck.  The audio is all narration.  I am new to Captivate (and lesson authoring in general).  All suggestions are appreciated as I can't launch the LMS with this bug.  Oh yes, Cornerstone says it must be coming from the lesson authoring tool.

I'm a fairly new Captivate user and I'm trying to create a new project with PowerPoint.  The PowerPoint I'm importing has narration on each slide.  The audio narration is not importing with the PowerPoint into Captivate.  I have tried Editing w/ PowerPoint and also saving the audio files to Media Player and importing separately to each slide and these 2 ways did not work and my manual does not cover this issue.  Please send me other recommendation.Thank you,Cindy

I have created a glossary using the widget in Adobe Captivate 2017. I am wondering if there is a way to click on a word on a slide so that the glossary pulls up right to that word? I know in previous versions this was not possible. Does anyone know if this has changed with the most recent version or how to make this work?Thanks!

We're having a weird issue with trying to get these power points in connect.All the animations are set to play on their own, not action clicks needed, but if the slide is paused when going to the next slide the opening animations don't playIs that normal for presenter and connect? Is there a way to have it auto play when traveling to the next slide?The other issues is, our slides keep going blank when the timeline ends. Is there a way to keep the slide's items up on screen?

Hi,  I am using Captivate 8 and publishing a project as HTML5.  When I play the published project, the first few slides have no audio.  The first slide contains a small intro video and that does not play either.  Audio starts on about slide 4 or 5.  Once the audio has started, if I rewind back to the beginning, audio and video play.  It's like the project is starting to play before everything is ready.This is happening on two separate projects.This does not happen if i publish as SWF, or mp4 video, but I cannot use those formats.Any help would be appreciated.Thanks,Jane

How can change the style name?

I have a series of videos for my class that I converted to HTML5 and .MP4 without issue in 6 and then updated recently to CP 2017. The earlier versions work fine on my website and YouTube, respectively.I'm now trying to update the HTML5 output with closed captions, which is easy enough to do on my side, however when I FTP to server I'm often left with a "loading" symbol in the browser and no actual loading. This is related to individual captions within a slide within a project.After buggering around with this for far too long I'm wondering if there is a limit to the allowed length of a caption or if something beyond my comprehension is at play here. The captions are chemistry language-based but just text and no symbols. I have gone step-by-step adding a caption, publishing, uploading output and I'm not yet seeing any pattern to why I'm having problems. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hi guys, I'm new in captivate.I'm trying to add interactions on a video but I find a big problem. When I move over the timeline the video I have imported doesn't refresh!I mean...I only can see the very first fame of the video, even if I move over the timeline!How can I fix it? ThanksMichelle

Good day!  I recently started using Twine to help storyboard my trainings and interactive scenarios.  I was wondering if anyone else uses twine and, if so, do they ever incorporate it into their captivate course?  It's such an easy and effective way to create a scenario, that I'm hopeful there is some way to integrate the two.

We have a video embedded directly in the slide.  Randomly on certain videos if you hit the pause button, the whole slide moves forward.  We've checked and checked all settings around the video embed, and nothing seems to fix this issue. We've also tried to remove the playbar, but it looks like chrome adds it back. Any tips on fixing this bug?   If we could just remove the play bar entirely that would solve our problem, but they always just reappear.

Hello, I have currently upgraded from Captivate 8 to Captivate 2017. When I publish the project to a MP4 file, the some parts of the audio return an echo- sound track repeats itself. Has anyone come across this issue before? Please help

I have not gotten to explore the differences between version 9 and 2017 too much, but does anyone know if there is the option to scroll on an image?  What I mean is, instead of having a static page -- have something where you can scroll up and down a vertical page like looking at a website.
