Captivate

I am using wellsaid labs to generate my audio, so it is of high quality.   I have to audio that are identical except for one sentence in Slide 9 and 10.   When I import Slide 9's audio, there is an echo.    It sounds like I imported the audio twice with a slight delay the second time. I imported slide 10's audio which is working perfectly in slide 10 and deleted the last sentence in Captivate.  It still did the echo.    I deleted the slide and recreated it.  It worked perfectly in Captivate even when previewing.   When I published, the echo came back.  Any advice? I am on Captivate 11.5.5.676.

Is it possible for a user defined variable to send waive informaiton to LMS rather than Pass/Fail or Pass/Complete? Or is there a system defined variable i am missing that can be used to send a waive status to an LMS?  I use both Captivate and Lectora and have struggled to find a way to make this work for either, though of course, Google AI says it is possible! Anyone have experiance with this? 

I've posted this on the Canvas discussion board too, but I thought I might be able to get some ideas here too.I have some narrated lectures that were created in Abode Captivate. They have clickable tables of contents, but no interactivity beyond that, so no reporting options were used when they were created. I published them all as HTML5, then uploaded the .zip files to Canvas, had Canvas expand them, and then linked to the index.html files on a content page. On my computer they work fine, but if I try to use the Canvas mobile app on iOS, they don't load. I emailed Canvas support about this and they said the app doesn't support SCORM. But since there weren't any reporting options selected, they shouldn't use SCORM, right?I don't know a ton about Captivate, so I'm hoping someone here knows better than I do.I've tried hosting them on an external server and linking directly to them, which works perfectly but isn't really feasible for the implementation.

I have created a custom video content block in Captivate but now I have a new problem. I want to add a button to the second column of the block, but it seems that Captivate does not recognize the button component in a video block. I could add a button to the slide, but to do that would require adding an additional row under everything, which would defeat the purpose of the layout (see below).     Also, you cannot load a video component to an image block. I've tried that too.

Hi folks,I’m facing a weird issue in Captivate 2025 — after publishing, there’s a short black screen before the first slide appears.It doesn’t show up during preview though.Has anyone run into this? Wondering if it’s a preloader or media setting thing.

I recently upgraded from Captivate for MacOS (v. 14.5) 11.8.2 to 1..8.3 and published an updated project for my LMS.  When I turned on closed captions I realized the text color had changed from white on black to a really dark gray on black.  I opened the file and went to edit the CC settings to change the text color back to white but the swatch was already white.  You can see this in the attached files. I tried changing the text color to yellow and sample text remained dark gray. In fact it didn't matter wehat color I chose - the sample text stayed gray.  I tried closing the project and clearing the captivate projects cache. rebooting my computer. Nothing made a difference. All of my captivate classic project had the same issue - all had the dark gray text. I rolled back Captivate to version 11.8.2 and the issue was gone.  I tried upgrading again to 11.8.3 with all other applications closed and only the Captivate updater running and ran into the same issue

Hey Captivate Community!  I have a project that I am translating from English to Spanish. I exported the course content and had it translated. Now when I go to import the content back into the project, I get a spinning loading wheel for about 10 seconds before disappearing. The project still shows all original content with none of the new content being imported. Is anyone else having issues with using the import content function?

Everything looks perfectly aligned in edit and preview mode, but once I publish, some text boxes and images slightly shift or misalign on different screens.Has anyone else faced this issue in Captivate 2025? Any idea what’s causing these layout shifts and how to fix them?

I was wondering if anyone has ever encountered a bug in Captivate 12where the incorrect text caption randomly has its text disappear after a few seconds? It should say "That's not right. Try again." But within 2 seconds of being on screen, it disappears. And I see nothing on the timeline or animation areas that would explain why it is disappearing. It also should be jumping to the next slide, but that does not seem to be happening either. And yes I'm using the latest version of Captivate 12.

With this update they have killed the accordion widget... please, it seems unbelievable that a company like Adobe gives a program with so many bugs and malfunctions. Who is programming it? Trainees? I have a Junior programmer who has made the menu modifiable in colors and aesthetics, who has made gamification of mini games within the content... and only in 2 weeks. Adobe is not able to make a single patch without bugs... impressive... When are you going to relaunch the “Next” buttons in the footer? When are you going to implement all the Captivate 2019 features? My company normally doesn't do SCORM compliant online learning. We have a ton of modules that are not SCORM compliant, but one of our clients is asking for a SCORM package to put on another LMS. Anybody have this situation? Do you use Capitivate to prepare SCORM 1.2  packages for other LMS’s?  Do you have to keep Capitivate live or can you just output the package and send them the zip? Thank you.

Even small projects feel sluggish during preview — could this be due to transitions or rendering settings?

I have added another bigger click box to show the failure message. the bigger click box is below the correct click box's layer. But i want to the attempt of the bigger text box to be 2. If you select incorrectly at first it will show you an error message, and if you click incorrectly again, i want it to move to the next slide automatically. But I am not able to do that even after giving a resume and go to next slide action on the last attempt of wrong click box. help me out here 🙂

I am unable to preview or publish courses. I've tried with multiple courses, and every time I attempt to preview or publish, Captivate Classic crashes. Is anyone else having this issue?

I recently purchased Adobe Captivate 8.0 and I have seen how Responsive Design works. Now, I am trying to publish and display the content to display on a mobile device using Adobe Connect.My mobile phone does display regular websites, but it does not display any of my responsive design projects. When previewing or publishing, slide changes take a second longer than expected — even with minimal assets.Is anyone else seeing this lag? Could it be due to transitions, effects, or rendering issues?

I have just installed and activated Adobe Fonts via creative cloud. I can see them in other Adobe products and MS Products. I have tried, unistalling/reinstalling, clearing cache, logging out, resetting the font toggle in CC settings. I've tried everything and can't figure it out.

Hello, I am looking for some assitance on how I can assign the correct variable to make a "Continue" button route to a new slide after the slide has already been visited.  In my course, I have disabled forward and back buttons via the TOC and have "Back" and "Contiune" buttons on each slide to enable a forced navigation through my course.  The course consists of video content slides followed by review question slides. When the user visits the slide for the first time and presses "Continue" it will take them to the next review question slide. After they pass the review question they are then taken to the next video slide and so on. My issues is that the users have a "Back" option on video slides so they can review previous content. The back buttons skip the recently passed review question and route back to the most recent video slide. Ex:Slide 1 = videoSlide 2 = review question Slide 3 = video etc.... When a user presses the "Back" butto

I synced narration perfectly in the timeline, but once I publish, the audio drifts slightly out of sync with animations.Tried both HTML 5 and MP4 outputs — same issue.Anyone else run into this? Any tips to fix audio lag in the published version?
