Can someone help me add a trigger to my magnet from hand to gun
So I've been working on this file for a while now and just today my file started adding a second set of the internal folders with all of my layers into the character animator file, which resulted in the character being put into the scene twice, with one version having all of my behaviors, triggers and swap sets, and the other not having them. One version also seemed to load with the wrong layers into view, for example the second version of the mouth would be active when its inactive in photoshop (set to neutral rather then smile). This has also resulted in the head movements being thrown off, as well as the body to be connected in a bizzare way. the last issue im having revolves around adding new layers. when i add a new layer to my photoshop file, it doesnt add it to the original version, rather instead it adds it to the duplicate folder, resulting in missing pieces in the original folder that i cant move from the duplicate folder. Hopfully that makes sense, the video provided s
Hi. I'm new to Character Animator. Created a background in Photoshop and imported it into Character Animator. Worked fine. I subsequently decided to make a background same height as the first, but 3 times the width so that my puppet would have space to walk. When I imported it it dwarfed the puppet. How can I fix this? Thank you for your help.
Last night I was updating a puppet PSD. I deleted 2 layers in that PSD and Adobe Animator just started glitching. I began getting path error messages etc ... which made absolutely no sense to me. After restarting the program, and my computer, I tried to reopen the file and scene. Still wouldn't work. Now the problem is, none of the scenes in that file are properly showing, even though they're using different puppets. All I get is playback with a black screen. I even went back in the file history to before the change was made and still nothing. Please help.

Hi there, Have tried to hunt down the solution to this but so far with zero success.I'm making a very basic floating head character. The only issue is, as is common with W-Oo and Ah visemes, I have included a couple of subordinate layers in the original Illustrator file (taken from the Blank download) in the expectation that this produces an animated frame to the final mouth shape. Instead, on record, it shows all the mouthe frames on top of each other, as opposed to animating through layers 1 then 2, etc. Hopefully this is something you can help with? I feel like i must be missing something so simple it wasn't even included in a tutorial. Thanks in advance!
Hi, my camera stopped working on character animator yesterday. It says 'camera not selected'.I have tried installing the latest verion 3.5 but still not working. My laptop (MSI) camera setting has access but still not working. I have checked the forum to see similar problems but nothing helpful so far. Please does anyone have a solution?
HiWas hoping someone might be able to help. We are hoping to set up a live character 'chat' to answer questions during an Open Day. The person answering people's questions and animating the character will be in a recording studio next to the room the public will be touring. We hope to set up a webcam/mic over the TV in the main room so that the animator can see/hear the visitors and answer their questions. The main question is - how would we live stream to the TV? - would we have to use YouTube or something along these lines or is there a way to stream directly to TV via HTMI or an AppleTV? Has anyone done something like this before? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
This is my first character and everything is working fine but when i close my eyes or blink my character head shrinks , please help. This is the link to my character https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zw5wiyrExh6SzKfpu3uEXw2B_cvzfioD/view?usp=sharing
Hey guys,I'm new here, but I am having a problem with my leg hips popping out of my body. Does anyone have any pointers?
All went well until one day i couldn't go to Photoshop to workk on the puppet.Instead every time i click on the PS icon i got a duplicate of the puppet in Character Animator.
That's it. The only thing that changed is that I switched from a 1080p monitor to a 4K monitor. Software versions, card, cables, everything else is exactly the same and the app was working perfectly immediately before I swapped in the new monitor. MacOS 10.13.6, Character animator 3.4, GTX 1070ti, Nvidia driver 387.10.10.10.40.195 (up to date) The monitor is well within the capabilities of the 1070ti rebooted, reinstalled, no other apps, trashed prefs, the whole nine yards seems like adding a new monitor shouldn't break the app, yeah? Any help is appreciated.
This is my fist character and everything is working fine but when i close my eyes or blink my character head shrinks , please help.
My left arm is very distorted but my right arm is not. They are also both rigged the same exact way. Also can someone please tell me why my character is walking this way? I am new here so hello everyone! 🙂
When trying to move my puppet's arm in a certain position, a bug occurs, which I don't know how to solve or how it came about.Besides that the texture that I put in photoshop disappears in the shoulder area..Help me please!
New to Character Animator. Only been using it for a month or so. Had watched quite a few tutorials and didn't see this anywhere; but just did a test and am very happy with results. We had a very fast talking salesman we caricatured and animated. No one was really happy with the number of mouth shapes generated when I used his recorded voiceover to generate lip sync. So I did a test and exported his audio at half speed to do a new lip sync. For instance one of his lines generated 31 mouth shapes (or 'visemes') from the original raw audio. His 50% audio sync generated 56 visemes. Of course this only works if you are working with your puppet video in AE or Premiere where you can then speed up your exported 'half-speed' puppet 200%. If you need to export final file directly from Animator this probably won't help. Here's a 2nd tip (and my 1st test before thinking of the 50% approach explained above) that also actually generated better results than raw audio file. I copied and
in the video as you see head and the left part of shoulder has been attached but the right side not!!!I couldn't understand the reason?
I am working with my 10 year old dranddaughter on a STEM project about using a cane. What is the best way to connect a cane to a puppet?
Hi all, i have a blog post that i want to turn into an animated video. The blog post is based around yorkstone, which is an English garden stone so the premise is to feature animated characters on their journey to building the perfect English garden. Any startoff ideas would be appreciated. Thanks
Hello, I am using a free puppet made with Photoshop and I would like to access the original file. However, everytime I try to "edit the original file", Character Animator automatically pulls up the original file in Adobe Illustrator, where I am unable to make edits. Any suggestions on how to get this file to open in Photoshop? I've already restarted my computer, created a new file and downloaded a new version of the puppet, but nothing seems to be working. Thanks!
Streaming live to Twitch and other social platforms with Character Animator, or using a Character Animator-driven puppet as an overlay for your recordings, is a great way to add a new dimension to your feeds and performances. You can do this with all versions of Character Animator. However, the rollout of a new extensions UI from Twitch is not compatible with the Character Trigger extension that allowed Twitch viewers to pay with Bits (Twitch virtual currency) to trigger animation in a Twitch broadcaster’s performance. As a result, the extension, as designed, is not usable and has been removed from Twitch. The corresponding in-app UI (“Twitch Integration preferences”) will still be visible in the Preferences pane of 2.1 and 2.1.1 versions of Character Animator, but will no longer function. This only impacts the Character Trigger extension. We hope you will continue to enjoy streaming with Character Animator over Twitch and we will continue to develop features that enrich projects
Hi, I am trying to make my 4 legged puppet to walk from the left side of the screen to the right side of the screen but when I give every leg it's own walk behaviour, the body doesn't move as fast as the legs. And when I delete the individual walk behaviours only 2 legs move: Also the left back leg sticks to the right front leg and I don't know why. This is my rigging with a walk behaviour for every leg: I hope that it is possible for my puppet to walk from left to right!
I need to know why my magnets are not working...I tried to follow the video tuts step by step but its not sticking...i dont know what i am doing wrong. I attached the screenshots.
