Character Animator

Hi, i need to animate the fingertips of my pupper. can i do that on CH? just like animat arm that can we drag?

I created all the arms and imported them correctly, the arms have leader and draggable followed by follow only, and I have only shoulder and wrist tagged as I want the character to have bendy arms. They are all named the same. But I get only 2 positions and it jumps.

Hi everyone. I'm new to this and have my character working pretty well but I want to hot key a trigger so the chracter sits on the floor (body level change) in a meditation position. My problem is the standing head stays in place and disconects from the meditation body when I press the hot key.I'm sure I'm missing something basic to make the head follow.

I tried to rig this puppet to walk but i dont know what im doing wrong, why the ankles are moving so deformed. I got the puppet to walk but i need to understand the proper way to rig. Can someone please help rig the puppet i attached and explain to me where i went wrong? Please and Thank You

Recently I added some Left Quarter / Right Quarter head turns to a puppet I created in Illustrator, and then applied the Head & Body Turner behavior.  However in doing this, CA deleted a bunch of behaviors I had attached to the Frontal head (and thus propogated to the quarter view heads too)... I lost all my cycle animations on mouth visemes and lost my hair dangles... is there any way to avoid this when creating these head turns on my next puppet?  It's tedious to have to go back and all the behaviors to all 3 views.  Is there a particular sequence of steps to follow so that CA doesn't "forget" all the behaviors when I start mucking around with the heirarchy in Illustrator? 

I have imported individual (multi-track view) tracks from Audition audio files. I then chose the character and audio and armed Lip Sync and did "Compute Lip Sync Take From Scene Audio"). Everything went well and the character moves his mouth perfectly along with the audio. Only thing is that although the character is chosen (red dot) and moves his body freely, when I start playing his audio, he moves his mouth and the rest of the body freezes and I can't move anything. Only the mouth moves when playing audio. When I stop the audio, I can suddenly move the character again.  Is there a way that I might have saved or exported the file incorrectly or is this simply a setting in Ch that is affecting the character's other movements? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there,I have a few little issues.Firstly, my character is warping strangely, especially in the face. I never had this problem before, but I also recently added hair, and in order to make it stay behind the outline of the face, I had to separate the Face Background into separate layers: face background and face outline. Also I'm having trouble attaching sticks to the arms (it just won't let me). If anyone has had this problem before, please let me know!I'm including a screenshot of the psd file, just in case anyone can spot some immediate flaws that jumps out.

Hello, can someone please help me? I purchased this puppet dog and coloured black. All went well, but now I see the left eye on the left quarter head is not showing up.  I have tried everything; going through the settings slowly, comparing the settings line for line with the right eye, duplicated an eye and lastly restarted my laptop. Nothing worked. I can see the eye clearly in Illistrator, so it's driving me insane!  Please let me know what you need from me. First time in any forum in my life. this stuff is hard, but the most fun I have had in years! Happy New yearDm

Hi Character Animator team, I love your app, and have been using it a ton. 🙂  After updating the app, all of my characters are now bending oddly. I can no longer reproduce the content I have been. Is there anything I can do to adjust this manually within the editor in the non-beta or bets version? I redownloaded the non-beta older version to 23.0 and the same bending issue is happening.  See below attached example. Should look like / Scene use to bend like -https://www.instagram.com/p/C1PKxgXummV/?img_index=1 After update looks like -See attached .MovAnd supporting dashboard screenshots Any help would be greatly apprecited. 🙂  So, I can continue using Character animator to animate my animal creations. Thanks,Diana   

My character's arms are swinging twice at a time. I've attached the video. Any ideas? 

Hello,I have a question.It's about Control and Trigger window. I have a swap trigger folder for the left hand with only the hands.I have a swap trigger folder for the right hand, also just hands.And I have a swap trigger folder for graphics that shows both arms (plus sleeve plus arm). How can I set it up that when i click on an image of folder "two arms", the hands (of both hands folders) disappear from the folder "right hand" and "left hand"?I also tried to put every grafic in one swap triger folder but I have a problem then with the sleeve and the arm, (always left oder visable).Thank you for help.Kind happy greetings from Berlin, GermanySimona 🙂

Hi I rigged this character to run. However, when I put her into a walk cycle, the bottom of her feet stretch/warp.Any help would be appreciated.     

Hello.  The Adobe Charater Animator 2024 screen is blurry.  How can I see the puppet clearly?  I've double-checked the PSD layers and verified the PSD location (it's in the same folder as the Ch project).  I downloaded the Ch app via Creative cloud a few days ago.  The app was working fine yesterday but not today.  Has anyone had this issue? 

Does the elgato cam link 4k not work with character animator? Mine says camera not available as well as not fully supported.

I am developing a pilot for a series that involves multiple characters on screen simultaneously. I will be creating the characters in ACA and then importing them (with alpha channel) into Premiere to edit the pilot.Does anyone have any workflow recommendations for dealing with multiple voice audio tracks. The challenge is acting out each character's talking AND listening segments efficiently. I'm not sure if bringing in the entire audio track for the whole show makes sense to be able to heart the timing of the listening parts... or just bringing in the spaced audio track for each individual characters with the listening parts quiet makes the most sense.  Unfortunately you can't move audio tracks within ACA. You can only move visenes.  thanks!

Hello, I'm trying to make a puppet walk by using body tracker, but the puppet legs wont move at all. The upper body works great though. I watched okay samurai videos tried everything he showed, but nothing worked.Also, I had to uninstall and install adobe character 4 times. Every time I loggin, I get a message that my internet is offline. I have a strong internet, not sure why I keep getting this message. The software closes after it shows a message that It can't verify my subscription status. I'm using a free trial. I want to buy the subscription, but I couldn't test it.When I sign in I get a message that I'm signed out even after I enter my email and password, then when I click on signin, it opens.Free trial for 7 days is not enought to learn how to use adobe character. There is a lot to learn for beginners like me.I'm leaving  a feedbeck in hopes that adobe character will improve. I would definetelly purchase if I was able to test it out. Unfortunatelly, I couldn't. 

I'm just starting out with recording two puppets (sometimes 3) interacting together in Adobe Ch. I'm watching Okay Samurai videos on YouTube because I can't find comprehensive training anywhere else. Okay Samurai talks about having a separate scene for each puppet. I've seen other advice to add multiple puppets into one scene. Is there a good reason I should put individual puppets into individual scenes rather than all together into the same scene? Any explanation about scenes and resources for thorough training in Ch would be much appreciated!   [Mod Note: Moved to appropriate forum}

Hi, I have always made my own customizable puppets by using the Layer Picker function. Today I opened up an old puppet, and that functionality seems to have been broken in the year or two since I last worked with this puppet. But all the functionality seems to be in Puppet Maker now, and I see that some community users have been able to make Pupper Maker templates.   How does one get to do that?  I applied with the Google form back in 2022 but never heard back.
