I don't know if Adobe will read this or not but it would be great to have a voice-cloning, speech synthesis, and text-to-speech program to help creators clone their own voices to use for pod and YouTube videos. I use ElevenLabs to clone my voice for my Character Animator and videos. I teach middle school all day and after a day of yelling at kids to sit and be quiet, the last thing I want to do is talk for a video or podcast. I still have to do the work so something that's all in one is a big help.
When working in a CH project is there a way to easily delete a range of everything during that block of 5 seconds or so. Here is an example. I have a large scene with many characters and they all have their own lines. During the writing process, I had a narrator reading the lines of what would happen on the screen. Now that I no longer need the narrator there are lots of long silent parts of my scene I would like to trim down. How would I do this? Would I need to go back into my daw and trim those parts out and then re-render my Visemes and line them all up? I see there is a split option but I do not like how this creates a duplicate of that track. Is there a better workflow to do this?
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong - everything is set up supposedly correctly yet none of my additional mouth movements (ah, d, ee, f, l, m, oh, r, s, uh, w-oo) will sync with my facial movements when I try to record through calibrating with my webcam. They are all set up in the AI file and set up in the Character Animator file, and I linked them. The only ones that will work are the default neutral, smil, and surprise.Any tips?? Thanks!
I made a parallax head. And saved it as Puppet. That's when I'm import again, His face shadow and ears are resetting automatically, And I gave face parallax 200, that too is becoming 100 automatically. I have to do everything all over again,Please let me know how to fix it. Thank you
Is there any way to load a puppet into something that will allow you to view what the puppet looks like so if you had hundreds of puppets, you could quickly scroll through them and choose what puppets you will be using in projects? With a large number of puppets it's hard to remember what each one looks like from just a filename or puppet name. A way to quickly load and view without haveing to load it up in CA application which would be very time consuming.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! I don't want to have to start all over!
Is there a way to horizontally flip a puppet in character animator? Please help thanks.
When I click on the Record tab, the tab is selected and highlighted in bold, but it only opens the Rig tab. I cannot use the Record tab at all. Could anyone kindly help please?
I concider myself an advaced user and created lots of cartoons. I used compute speech from Audio and transcripts for every thing. Then I pick compute head movement from audio. Most puppets have 3 or 5 head views and it always picks a left quarter or left profile view when computing head movement. Never has it selected to turn to a right view. I typically keep each view independent with it's parent head not independant depending on if I want the body to shift or not. I typically have them ordered with +right profile, +Right Quarter, +Front, +Left Quarter, +Left Profile. I have changed the order to see if that effects it. The head turner behavier list all 5 views. I have done this with mutiple puppets over the last two years and I tend to delete the head turn and set my own turns and keep only the movement. I'm sure I have tried the premade puppets to see if it changes. Never once has it used either Right Views. Is there anything I can do to influnce it's selection?
all previously recorded records were played nomally... but suddenly, the mouth doesn't move(to my co-worker) or the character stays still(to me) during the recording. if we just click play, all records play normally. it only occurs during recording.what should we do? T-T please help What we tried before to fix this problem.1. Update graphics driver (with win10)2. Initialize Preferences (went to AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Character Animator and added .old to folder)3. Tried without a microphone or camera4. Tried with provided character(Chloe, and we got same problem)5. Reinstall the program (we are using 22.4 verson bcz of drag bug)5. Tried with previous version (22.3 and 22.0) it's hard to matching audio and behavior... how can we fix this..? what did we do wrong..?we will be happy if you propose a new method(and I apologize if there is any awkward English, I am not that good at English, and I am not using the English version of th

I have a really strange problem and I cannot work out how to solve it - please can you help as I am under immense pressure to get this done. So, I have a character/puppet which has some Xmas antlers on his head. They are there in the AI file, but when I bring them into CA, they do not show up and I cannot understand why.If I go into rig mode, the putline seems to indicate that they are there, yet I still don't see them.It was working fine in v23.6 - I upgraded to V24 and then the problem occurred. But even when I reinstalled the older version the problem persists.I have attached the AI file here. Please helpThank you!

I am working on animating a character with a Unibrow. The character has a very smooth and fluid brow so creating two brows that overlap is not ideal. Any help in how to rig that would be helpful.
Bonjour, jcomment faire pour que mon corps ne bouge pas, qu'il reste fixe?Merci ^pour votre réponse.
I'm out of ideas for what's causing this. My mp4 and mov renders are distinctly washed out from the original puppets and art assets. Single frame exports and PNG sequences are color accurate, but I need to use mp4 and movs for work. I brought the frames into After Effects and Photoshop to confirm the problem wasn't with QuickTime or Media Player. I tried going back from Ch 24.0 to 23.6 with the matching Media Encoder versions. Still looking washed out. I've tried rendering on 3 different pcs, including a new higher end one, and the problem is still there.I've been working with Character for a couple years and I've never seen this before. I have old renders that look correct but new renders of the same scene come out wrong. As far as I can remember, I didn't chanage any settings, but maybe I did without realizing. I can use png sequences or do color correcting in After Effects, but that really only works as a temporary solution. Any ideas on what's going on would be very appre

I'm very experiened with other Adobe products, but Just downloaded Character Animator for first time. However, every video I've found so far seems to be for an earlier version that is very very different from what I'm seeing in v24. If no tutorials exist yet for v24, I'll have to uninstall and download v23 to learn the program. But I'd really like to learn the latest version, so any links to updated tutorials would be very much appreciated!
I can't open a new project in Adobe Character Animator and I can't import the character I created in Adobe Illustrator.
Ok lets see if I can even explain this lol! The "L forearm" (lower opacity) is the exact same as the "L arm" ( I even copy and pasted the joint points) with the intention of copying any movement I make with one to the other and then lower opacity of the forearm to 0% in 1 and the shoulder/bicep to 0% on the other. The million dollar question: (drum roll...) is there any way to copy and paste the movement in the timeline??? (remember, both layers are identical!) I get stuck because when I remove the red dot next to the Dragger in Puppet Track Behaviors (on the left) it resets the movement I made (as per the screen shot I shared) so I cant even duplicate it by eye... I dont think its possible but any Ch geniuses out there that can shed some light? much love,Chris!(My Podcast Family on YT)
Hi!I'm having trouble rigging my character's arms. I have a character of which the arms don't look good when put above the torso layer:The easy solution would be to put the arm behind the torso, but that limits my expressivity - for example, I want my character to cross arms, but arms always go behind the back now: Ideally, what I want is this: But thus far I wasn't able to achieve it. It seems that no matter what I do, since the arm is spread out in two independent layers with no common parent, Character Animator does not treat it as one arm. The layer structure is: +Upper Left Arm.. Upper Left Arm ArtworkTorso+Lower Left Arm.. Lower Left Arm Artwork..Palm Artwork Is there any way around this?
Fellow Animators! Any tips, tricks or references points for creating a lip sync chart to animate the attached moustache? The character has no visible mouth, so the moustache needs to do all the work! Thanks Christopher P.s. Also open to commissioning this job to a skilled animator
https://youtu.be/xrKxDOcnLKM Dear Adobe CA team,Please take a look at Cartoon Animator 5. It has mocap just like CA, but also has real animator tools. I'm finding it very hard to justify using CA after seeing that video. It's like AE and CA combined and also tailored to animators. They obviously paid more attention to what pro animators needed out of their software. I highly advise you review their software and adopt some of the features... or better yet... do like you did with Figma and accept that you can't compete and just buy the company. Motion libraries are for hobbyists. Give us real tools please.
Hi team,I know this should be a simple question and I should be able to work it out but something is going wrong - so I start a new project with the blank.ai file (following the adobe 1 hr long YT how to make an illustrator puppet for CA where he uses the blank template)But I am stuck because I want to change the name from blank.ai to named.ai. If I copy the blank.ai file and paste it and then rename it to [chosenName.ai] and then go into character animator and try to get it to connect to the newly named file - it suddenly goes all warped and weird and the camera is warping the artwork instead of making it move (but its exactly the same file all I did was change the name!)What am I doing wrong? Thanks for your help
I'm trying to set up head-turner behavior for the first time, but my character has big ears, and one ear is entirely outside of the head group (and behind the body group). I am able to normally move that ear to match the head group using the Leader/Follower behavior. BUT when I try to create the head turn poses, I can change the location and size of the ear inside the head group, but I don't know how to manipulate the bottom-layer-ear for size and location. Thanks for any help.
