I have a Captivate 6 project that I'm publishing to Adobe-hosted Connect (ver. 9.0.1). On each of my Captivate slides I have a click box which pauses the project until the user clicks. However, once I load the CP file within Connect (Share pod > Share My Screen > Share Document > My Content), the click box usually does not register, so the user is unable to proceed through the CP slides. The results have been unpredictable; sometimes it will be fine, then I will go in and edit one slide and republish with the same settings, and then the click box no longer registers. The files are fine when published to SWF (and ran locally). Has anyone else encountered this issue?

Hi All,When entering a connect room (in which I should be a Host) I am only logged in as a Participant.  This happens no matter how I enter the room - either through the admin console, or by logging in on the meeting page.Has anyone experienced this?Thanks!Wajid

Can I find the names of who viewed a recording?

We recently acquired AC8 into our company and are currently in the process of training staff.  We found that sometimes when a whiteboard is being shared, the host of the room cannot annotate.  It also happened today when I gave enhanced whiteboard privileges to a participant.  Any ideas?

Does anyone know if a meeting participant using a smart phone is able to view the videopod on an external monitor? I have an iPhone 4s and one of the data port to rca adapter cables to connect my phone to a TV with RCA inputs. No audio/video signals would broadcast through the TV.  I know that the data to rca adapter will only broadcast audio/video displaying/transmitting through the iphone on certain applications. Does anyone know if this going this capability is being developed for an updated version of adobe connect mobile btw...i am using adobe connect 9. thanks for your help

I ran into an issue with adode connect 9 in which my camera video would display in preview. however, when i select the 'share' option to share the video with meeting participants the video pad screen is black, but the videopad container says it is displaying my video signal.please note that i was able to/had no issues with the video signal display/transmission using the same video source in adobe connect 8.

Hi, My team continues to have difficulty when uploading PowerPoint 2010 to Connect. I am including a few example screenshots. I have spoken to a representative from Adobe about this, who has never heard of an issue like this, and has idea what I was talking about. So, now with proof, I ask again for help. We have used Connect at my company for several years now, but this issue has become more prominent within the past year or two. I do not know if this is an issue specific to our license, or how to resolve it. The font used in this example is Arial. We have seen less of this issue while using Arial, but Calibri, the default font for Microsoft, causes many more issues.

How do I as the presenter share a web page during a webinar?

I don't know much about Connect - this is on behalf of a client.We have published Captivate projects that include a right click.  The right click works correctly when published as Flash and run from our server.  However, when the same file is published to Connect (by the client), the right click doesn't work.We have confirmed that Connect is added as a trusted site in the Flash security settings.Does anyone have any suggestions?

When I enter the meeting room, Sometimes I got a “ValidateUserError.invalid.missing” Error. I' m running Connect 9.0Anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it?

Is there a way to get this to work in the new Connect 9 system. We have a hosted account And ever since they moved us to connect 9 the connect add-in is not working. We know that there is a new connect add-in located \staff\Staff Profiles\Application Data & Profiles\%Username%\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\www.macromedia.com\bin\adobeconnectaddinand we have allowed this path in folder rediretion but all we are getting when trying to run the add-in is a small adobe connect box that says loading and it wont load.Any help would be much appreciated as level 1 support does not handle this and im waiting for level 2 support.

When giving a presentation, is there a way to add thumbnails to the side bar of the presentation to quickly move to a specific slide?  I currently show the options for outline, notes and search.  I was watching a presentation from the adobe website on features for Connect 9 and the presentation had a thumbnail option, but I cannot figure out how to add this for my own presentation.  I have a powerpoint in a share pod, but don't see how to add the thumbnail option.I am being migrated to Adobe Connect from Microsoft Livemeeting and really enjoyed the thumbnail view in Livemeeting and was hoping to have it in connect.  Any help on this would be appreciated.  Thank you.

Is it possible to watch recorded presenter content or recorded meetings using an iphone or ipad?

Can you create sub-folders in a seminar room? We plan to have over 300 seminars this year and it will be really messy if all the seminars have to be under the root folder.

This is a real stab in the dark but it's a serious problem for us. Something has changed recently with Adobe Connect that means the add-in (adobeconnectaddin.exe) is hanging at the "Connecting" prompt. We're running Windows 2003 Terminal Server with Citrix XenApp v5 on top. I suspect it's a problem with Flash acceleration features baked into HDX Flash, part of XenApp but it used to work. Flash v11.3 or higher broke HDX Flash but I don't think that's the problem as I've gone back to a very basic XenApp build with nothing much apart from the OS, XenApp, Flash v11.2.202.235 and the latest add-in - same crash occurs. If I happen to logon to the console using RDP, the fault doesn't occur hence my reason for suspecting it's the Citrix Receiver client/HDX Flash/Adobe Connect Pro add-in nightmare combo!But considering I've gone back to an earlier image of XenApp (we keep copies of all builds) from February where Adobe Connect used to work fine, I suspect something has now changed with ACP that

Adobe Connect no longer will recognize my DV cameras (XL2 and GL2) via firewire 400 on a mac computer (os 10.7.5). I have tried signing in using the ?launcher=false  idea and I have installed the addin for adobe connect and os 10.7.2. Nothing works. Have tried different cables and camera's and macs.

Hi There,For the last four years we have been using a Sony handycam, a DV camera for use in Adobe Connect. It allows us to capture nice, rich video feed for our meetings. Since we've been upgraded to connect 9 however, the camera image is distorted. The zoom controls on the camera do not work and regardless of the zoom setting, the display inside of Adobe Connect is zoomed ALL THE WAY IN. As a result, participants can see my nose. They see nothing but my nose. Our solution is to physically move the camera to the back of the room, about 10 feet away. However, becuase the display is zoomed all the way in, the image is pretty grainy.Has anyone figured out a work-around for this or a similar issue. Drivers appear up to date for the camera. There is still the 'Make Offline' option, but that just starts the local streaming. I tried using 'Edit' first and then clicking 'Save', but that also just started streaming. I also tried using the 'download=zip' URL hack that I'd read about on other sites, but that just saved a zip file full of decompiled Flash bits. I created a short 1 minute recording for testing, and none of the FLV files in the zip download were playable in VLC. I thought maybe Connect Desktop had something, but no direct download was available there either.Am I missing something?Mike

I found a successful method of installing it in this thread, but that method is no longer working for me. Our users do not have the ability to install software, and using admin credentials at the UAC prompt installed it in the admin's profile, instead of the user's. Here's how we solved it and made it per computer on Vista SP2. We currently create meetings via the web services API. Say you were to build a course in connect and then you want to export it for other purposes, does this software allow you to export a course after it has been built or deployed?

Gurus....  help please....We created a bunch of animated Flash presentations years ago (when it was Macromedia) with ActionScript and synchronized a Flash sound file to play along with them using an ActionScript slider that advances the frame in each file (animated graphic and sound) as it goes. But this means it is two separate flash files (kept in the same directory).  Not elegant, but it worked. To present them, we created a series of linked HTML pages that had the animated swf embedded and we found a way for it to be able to drive the sound swf in the same folder.....Fast forward to today and we want to present them in Connect.  Obviously they will play more efficiently if uploaded to the hosted server, but the sound doesn't play for the participants. What must we do?  We love the vector based graphics, so I don't want to turn them into Flash movies. Besides, we already have a play bar.  So here are my challenges.  1. Get the sound to play for the part
