I have installed Breeze v. 5 in my computer. I am able to enter, invite people to join me, and share the whiteboard. Before sharing slides or the desktop, Breeze asks if one wishes to download the Macromedia Flashplayer ADD-IN. Everytime I say yes, then I obtain an error message, "Macromedia Breeze Meeting Addin 7.0 r55 has encountered a problem and needs to close." A second window appears, with a blank Macromedia Flashplyer 7 box. Here are some of the steps I have already taken, but have failed. 1. Try and lower the Internet Explorer safety settings to medium. 2. Try Firefox instead of Internet Explorer 7 3. Remove the Breeze program and start again 4. Remove Flash player and download the new one (9.x and now 10.x) 5. Install it in a different computer in my office (it works fine, using the same internet connection) 6. Close my anti-virus program. Here's a bit of free market research: Everyone in our office still calls the product Breeze and calls a conference using it 'a Breeze.' As in, "I have no idea what you're talking about, let's jump on a Breeze" or "You clearly need me to walk you through this, I'm going to set up a Breeze." Nobody has said, "Wouldn't this be simpler if we started an Adobe Acrobat Connect?" Just thought you should know.

Hi : I'm working with trail version of Macromedia Breeze Presenter and in trying to attach a video (swf) in slide (Talking head video) - I keep on getting message "Presenter failed to create the folder ....., please check your file and folder permissions and try again". The permissions are just fine. Any ideas on this ? I'm trying to prepare a prototype presentation to see if we can use this product. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi there, Whenever I try to open a meeting, my browsers (IE, Firefox, Opera) crash with an error "Acrobat Connect Add-in 7.0 r454 has encountered a problem and needs to close" The only reference I found in the Adobe support is related to uninstalling a hotfix that I don't have. The Adobe Connect tests run ok for the add-in and flash. Has any of you encountered similar problems? How could I fix this? Installing and uninstalling does not work. Thanks,

I am having some problems running the Breeze Add-in on Mac OSX. When I login to the conference, the add-in starts and displays the text: "Loading Breeze" in black, on a white background. The flash component of breeze starts correctly, but when I want to share the screen by clicking "My computer screen", the add-in pops to the foreground and keeps displaying the same "Loading Breeze" message. Nothing else happens. I am running: Mac OSX 10.4.7 on a MacBook Pro, Safari 2.0.4/ Firefox 1.5.0.6 / Latest Flash Player 9 (uninstalled and installed just now, to make sure) / Latest Breeze Addin found at https://service.breezecentral.com/go/breeze_addin_install_mac/. Help, I downloaded the Adobe 8 Professional 30-day trial, and now can't find it anywhere. After it finished downloading, a question box appeared: Do you want to run this program now? I clicked yes, and that's the last I've seen of the download. Where did it go, and how do we access it? I have searched files, and temporary files. Is there a link somewhere to access it? I have been on hold with Adobe phone support now for over an hour!!! Thanks for any help.

Hello, I thought I'd move this to the General Discussion category...I am at wits end. Is there a solution for this problem? I am running Breeze Presenter 5.1.269 . If users navigate backward after getting to a fill-in-the-blank 3-question quiz, and then try to progress through the quiz, Breeze freezes. It says they didn't answer the question completely. "Allow backward movement" is enabled in the quiz manager. Please help. I also notice that you should never use the Page Up or Page Down keys because that causes the same problem. Shouldn't users be able to navigate either way? (keyboard or clicking arrow icons?)

I got rather a rude awakening this morning when I loged into Breeze to find it rather different. Does anyone know what has actually changed appart from the look? I have been unable to find any notes on the Adobe site.

When Breeze creates a new meeting room URL, the URL has a trailing slash at the end of the URL . When accessing the URL, it it necessary to include the trailing slash in the URL? Would leaving off the trailing slash cause connection issues?

When I open a Power Point presentation, add my audio files by using the Breeze plug-in, I then click on the Breeze plug-in again on the Power Point toolbar. A Macromedia Breeze Log-in window comes up and I enter the same user name and password that I use to start a new meeting. Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong? I've tried every possible thing I know to do. Thanks for your help! Dean

Hello, I use Breeze presenter 5.1.269 I published ppt with quizz with SCORM 1.2 tracking and it work perfectly in our Opensource LMS. But if I published a ppt without a quizz, tracking in LMS is only time to open 1st slide and status is failed (or incomplete) and there is no score value tracked. Is it possible with breeze presenter to track a ppt without quiz ? (If yes how ?!) Thanks in advance Marc

We are creating PPTs and then convert into Breeze to post on our Breeze server. The screen captures look good on the PPT even after it is pulblised. Once it is posted to the Breeze server and run the screen shots are almost unreadiable. Any suggestions? Should I be using a specific screen resolution or type? when I capture? Thanks

I am the Breeze administrator for my department, and we have a course that has 12 pieces, each of which is a Captivate movie published as a .swf. We organize each of our courses as a "curriculum" so that we have room for modules inside each course - however, when a student takes this curriculum containing its 12 content pieces, it is completely random whether or not the Breeze server registers each piece as complete after the student completes it. What I'd like to do is to be able to link each piece to the next piece (due to filesize/bandwidth restrictions it can't just be one piece) AND have the curriculum register each piece as complete once it is, but I'd settle for the server to recognize each piece as complete when accessed from the curriculum page. I'm at wits' end with this, I can't find any rhyme or reason to why Breeze recognizes some pieces as complete and not others when following a common process. Any ideas? Thanks

Hi, I have a quick question. I have a powerpoint/breeze project that I need to have translated in 2 more languages. I already have the audio files for those languages and images as well. It is just a matter of synching them. Now I am not very profficient with powerpoint, but can get by and have never used breeze before. My question is, is this a task I could learn fairly quickly and do myself, or does it require indepth knowledge about the software and must I pay to have someone do it for me? If I must outsource the project, what would a fair fee be, it seems no one in my area is very familiar with this product and I do not want to pay a fortune simply because I am ignorant of what is actually required to make these changes. I'm trialing Breeze to see if it fits my company's LMS needs. We have several SCORM-compliant courses and I'd like to include this content in a course in Breeze. However, from reading the Breeze online help, it seems that I'd need access to Breeze Manager in order to do this. How do I get access to Breeze Manager as part of the trial?

We have a quiz in a course that midway through which is set to allow 3 attempts. We were testing this course with a test account. We used up the 3 attempts and now we can't continue with the course. Can we reset the # of attempts just for this 1 user. What happens to the reports if we re-publish the course?

I'm giving a shout out to anyone using Breeze Training. Do you get the feeling that the end of Breeze Training is in sight? I've gotten 3 official emails from Adobe about the conversion to Acrobat Connect and not one mentions Acrobat Connect Professional Training. The most recent message, the one announcing the fact that they have no idea when we will be converted to Connect Professional, had links for Acrobat Connect Professional and "Adobe Connect" (isn't that the wrong use of the new name?) FAQs. Can anyone tell me the procedure for creating swf and linked flv file with Sorenson Squeeze for deployment on the Breeze server or in Breeze Presenter? All Adobe will share is the how to this with Flash. I feel certain this can be done but all my attempts have failed to have the swf show the referred flv link. To interpret the Flash procedure, it seems that all one has to do is add /output "file name" to the swf player flve linked url, but the published flv file only shows a white screen. It does not seem to load the linked flv file - even if I have allowed public viewing of the flv content.

I have created a 10 question quiz in Captivate as part of a course. I am trying to publish it to Breeze, but i keep getting a server error: 500 Internal server error and then sometimes a server error: 500response id= Ahas no description. Is there something i am doing wrong. I have the setting to report to an email since we do not have the Breeze LMS. I want the students to send the email. and i do not have the setting of enable breeze tracking set. Can anyone help me.

This is a 2 part question - here's what I want to do - I want to be able to edit the Breeze screens so that there is no reference to the breeze system whatsoever - I know there is some simple customization thru the Adobe hosted version, but I don't even want the user to see the word "Breeze Connecting" when they are logging in - I'm sure this can be done if I host my own servers. However, I don't know what kind of infastructure that is required to have a nationwide breeze solution capable of connecting a maximum of about 50 - 100 users listening to VOIP and watching full stream video - peak at any one time - with the average being about 15-20 most of the time - I guess I would need to have edge servers all around the country connected with a pretty hot line - on the other hand, Adobe has already done this with the hosted version - but can I get the customization I want with that service ? - any help would be appreciated -

Is it possible to set login preferences (such as Name and email address) for learners before viewing a course which is hosted on Breeze? Presently learners can click on the link which launches the Breeze course. We would like to require the learner to enter their Name and email address before launching the course to track attendance.
