Connect

Tried to use remote access to help a client through Connect yesterday. I could get as far as seeing the client's screen, but couldn't find or activate remote access through the session.   Other than a cryptic note that "commands have been moved in the latest version" splash screen when I signed in, and a search that essentially gave me notes along the lines of "yeah, remote access exists but it sucks" for posts dated in 2010 and 2014, there's no later mention of whether the features still exist much less how to use remote access if it still exists. And help files are nonexistent.   Is remote access a deprecated feature these days? And if it's not, how do I use it with my clients with Connect v12.x?

I need to see PowerPoint notes. How do I view them in Connect?  TIA

I don't see any recent responses to this question so am starting a new thread.  I have a VOIP only class where one MAC user is causing an echo when her mic is open.  She doesn't own a headset.  I see past threads suggest she turn her speakers off but then she won't be able to hear so that makes no sense to me.  Any other solutions?

I've found the Doorbell pod, which is useful for letting me know when someone enters the room during the session, but is there any way of being notified when a participant leaves? I run online lessons, and need to know if a student has logged out for safeguarding reasons, but if I'm helping another student in breakout I might not notice for a while.

Hi All, I'm using the Adobe Connect You Tube Player Pod and have noticed that when using an Adobe Connect meeeting -  when I move to a new layout from a layout containing the You Tube Player Pod (after playing the video). and then when I return to the layout containing the YouTube player pod the video controls for the video have disappeared. I don't know whether this is by design or a fault? Any advice or help on this matter is greatly appreciated.  

Hi, everyone! My company has experienced the freezing of PowerPoint slides within the “Share” pod. At seemingly random times we might, for example, be unable to advance from slide 6 to slide 7 or from slide 55 to 56. We’re still able to move backwards to previous slides but can’t move forward. This is happening in multiple rooms and as part of multiple presentations. It only impacts one slide each time, but never the same slide. Can anyone advise us about this problem? When this occurs, we’re able to advance a few slides ahead by using the “Outline” view of the Share pod, but this requires us to skip at least one slide. If, for example, we can’t get to slide 48, we can use the outline view to move from slide 47 to 49, but we still can’t get to 48. We’ve confirmed that we’re using the most recent version of Adobe Connect. Just a real simple one here.  Premiere can creat a transcript...awesome.  Premier can export a transcript and then I can convert the text file to a PDF.  Cool.  Premiere can also make an in and out over areas that I highlight in a clip, so that I can then plug that pull into a stringout.  Great.  Now here is one feature request that would save 3 hours of my time today.... If I could import a highlighted PDF of the transcript and Adobe could automatically make a string based on those highlighted sections. This would be great for procucers handing off pulls to editors as well, as they may not know how to use Premiere.

I have setup my Adobe Connnect acount for a class coming up and have not used the profile yet. However I have been getting endless emails of "Login for your Adobe Connect account has been temporily suspened as you have made too many incorrect login attempts" yet I havent been on the account. I think someone is trying to login to my account to hack it or a glitch. Everytime I login to my account, it runs normally, not problem working with the account or locks on the account but the emails keep coming.  I would like to get the emails stopped somehow. I cannot find a contact number or email to get in touch with the technical support. Any feedback would be great. I have no ideas on the source. 

We are unable to display multiple pptx files in Adobe Connect. This is happening if we try to directly share the content from the Desktop or even if it was already uploaded into the Shared Content. It is not happening with all the decks, only some - but there is nothing to indicate what the problem is.  If we go to the Web portal and try to play the slides, it does not progress from the 'Adobe Presenter' screen.  Has anyone come accross a similar situation? Any tips or workarounds?Thanks in advance!

Help!  I use adobe connect to display myself separately from a laptop ( via an iPad) in front of a whiteboard. I use the selfie camera on the iPad so that I can watch myself at the same time. After an update, the display is now mirrored, so people in the class now see text in reverse for this screen. I relied on this separate screen to watch my prez via my laptop, along with the doc camera from the laptop . The regular camera on the back of the iPad works fine. But with this, I have to move around the desk to turn it off when needed, so it is awkward and unprofessional. The "selfie" camera on the iPad worked great up until adobe connect was updated.  I also tried with an iPhone so it seems to be an issue with iOS in general. There is now no way to "un mirror" the selfie camera. Again, the regular camera works fine but using this in this way is awkward. Thanks for any help with ideas. I cannot find a setting that reverses the display for the selfie camera. 

Following the most recent update for Adobe Connect, my instructors report they've lost the ability to pause their camera feeds. I've tested myself and am no longer able to find the option, despite the website still indicating that it should be an option. (I've both done the update and uninstalled/re-installed.) I'm assuming that either we're all blind, it's been intentionally removed, or there was an 'oops' that'll need to be fixed.  Any insight? Hi All, So this is about the resolution of the webcam and it "auto" zooming when the webcam window is reduced.ie.. I have a 480p camera and when the video window is large (approx a quarter of screen real-estate) all is fine.  As i reduce the window or ad more cams from other presenters the image is cropped to just the centre 280p . rather than just reducing the window size it reduces the images size as well.   So a head shot turns into an extreme close up!This issue does not happen on a mac.Both are using the adobeconnectaddin  and are up to date with flash etc.Any ideas?

Hi, I have a PPT presentation that I load to Connect. It has embedded videos that have player controls in PPT, but those controls don't show up in Connect. Is there a way to add them or save the PPT so they show up there? Thanks!

This is something that has never happened before, I think it's a bug. We are on the new 12.6 version. As host, in my live meeting, I can't delete chat messages from teh chat pod. I can reply and they go away but the delete button won't work. Is anyone else having this issue?

We use custom branded fonts in many of our presentations.  When I upload a PowerPoint into a share pod, the custom fonts are converted to something more generic.  Does anyone else work with with brand fonts and faced a similar issue?  Have you discovered a solve?   Appreciate the help and guidance!

Hi, I was using Adobe Connect on Monday and Tuesday this week (post the update) to deliver two full days of training, and had a few issues with my audio. Although everything worked fine to start with, my audio quality went in and out every now and again around three times each day. Is this a known issue? I rebooted each time, tried different browsers and the app, and changed from webcam audio to my earbuds but it didn't seem to make any difference. I did a test on my wifi and it was consistently fine, and all the bars in my screen were green. However, it did seem to be more stable when I turned my camera off. Can anyone help with how to resolve this issue so that it doesn't happen again next week? Thanks in advance!

There must have been an update recently (before July 29, 2024) as in the past I was able to end a meeting and launch participants to a url and the url would automatically open. Now there is a choice for them to confirm the redirection to the url. Can this be changed to force them to the url?

Hi everyone,I am currently using Windows 11 and have been experiencing compatibility issues with Adobe Connect. ManyCam, along with other streaming applications such as OBS, XSplit VCam, and Camo, work perfectly with other platforms like Zoom, indicating that there are no privacy settings issues in Windows. However, these applications do not function correctly with Adobe Connect.The only application that appears to work with Adobe Connect is SplitCam, but it has some limitations and does not meet my needs fully. I would prefer to use ManyCam, Camo, or OBS for their advanced features.Has anyone else encountered similar issues? Are there any known solutions or workarounds to make these applications compatible with Adobe Connect on Windows 11?Thank you in advance for your help!Best regards

I've used Adobe Connect before with no problem, however, I was not able to attend class today because when I clicked the link to connect I got this image. I've made sure that my account was up to date, I've checked for system problems, but I still cannot use Adobe Connect because of this error image. SOOOO Frustrating. Adobe should have a technical support phone number for those who are not as tech-savvy!!!!!!

Hi, is Adobe Express down everywhere? Our Clever link does not work: https://new.express.adobe.com/?src=clever&role=school_admin And the Adobe browser link in Createive Cloud does not work: https://new.express.adobe.com/ Is this something that is systemwide or local? Other Adobe apps are working, but Express seems to be down. Just in case it is a local or regional issue, my school district is Calvert County Public Schools, in Maryland. Thanks!

I think that our hosted version of Connect updated at the weekend, and since then a number of our students have been unable to access our lessons (i.e. meetings).  My colleagues and I have had no problems at all.I asked affected students to let me know what type of computer they were using, which browser they were using, and the name of their ISP.  The first three to contact me were using MacOS and Windows, but all were using Firefox.Is there an issue with the latest version of Connect and Firefox?

From what I understand, if only the setting "Registered users may enter the room" is selected, then only users who are explicitly added to the room as participants should be able to log in, correct? But what we are seeing is even with this setting, anyone with an Adobe Connect account is being able to log into the room. It seems to not be working properly. Are we missing something? Thanks.
