Adobe digital editions will not open my NASW code of ethics when NASW stated it is acceptable reader

My public library supports CloudLibrary, which allows me to download books. The books open without any difficulty on my PC. I am also able to transfer them to ADE, and from there to my Kobo.Here's the problem: the books will not open in ADE (the app just sits there) and when I try to open them on the Kobo, I get the "no permission to copy" message. I have tried deauthorizing and reauthorizing but nothing works. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. No luck there either. Is the app just buggy or is there a fix? I am running Windows 11. To Adobe:Digital Editions has many favorable features but lacks a very important feature for non-fiction books: a back-to-previous-view(s) button.  If a book has internal hyperlinks, say between sections, many/most ebook readers allow links to the linked-TO page but no way to easlily get back to the linked-FROM page. For me, an author, implementing a second, reverse-direction link to go back to a page where the reader pressed the original link  is either a pain or impossible, especially if the linked-to location is linked-to from multiple locations. (In such cases, how can a go-back link at the linked-TO page know which linked-FROM page to return to?) That's the case with my ebook, which is loaded with cross-references. I'm tearing my hair out (and don't have much left on my partially-bald head) trying to find a workaround, to no avail. A back-to-previous-view(s) button eliminates that problem completely. For some reason, a high percentage of ebook readers seem to lack this

Hello,I am running ADE 4.5.12 on a Mac, and trying to access an ACSM ebook.However, when opening the ACSM file into ADE, after a few minutes idling it says "Connection error detected" and it is not able to download the ebook.I have tried several fixes but nothing worked:- De-authorising and re-authorising the computer- Connecting to a different WiFi- Reinstalling ADE- Date/Time set correctly- Allowed all incoming connections from Firewall- Tried with different ACSM files.Is there any way to understand where the problem is? Thanks

Buenas tardes, me he descargado en mi ordenador windows 7 version 6.1 el adobe digital editions y es con el programa que se me abre los libros que me descargo en formato epub. Cuando me paso el libro a la tarjeta sd en mi libro electronico me sale ACCESO DENEGADO. COMPRUEBE TU LICENCIA ADOBE DRM, no sé que tengo que hacer pero no me deja leer el libro claro. Gracias de antemano.  

hello, i need do read ebook's loked in adobe digital edition but i'm using MAC apple M1 can you help me? 

I bought mi first DRM ebook, i was thinking it will smooth and seamless as a phisical book (buy, open, read).No i had to register an adobe account, download an adobe software, download a small file from the book's vendor, open the file using the adobe software and finally copy the book to my Kobo.Very booring, but i did, at the last step the adobe software says CE_COPY_NOT_ALLOWED.After a month, even with the vendor support i still cant read my ebook.The adobe support is useless, as the vendor support.the only suggestion is "try again".  

My Adobe has stopped allowing me to move library books from my PC to my KOBO (both show authorized on the ADE. the message reads : CE_COPY_NOT_ALLOWED - No permission to copy book.  It used to work. Any easy fixed for me?(I already tried uninstall and re-install)

I like borrowing e-books from the library, but I get head and neck aches with the pages jumping from one to the next--reading to the very bottom of the screen, then the screen flashing to the next page where I have to go back to the top of the screen.  In Reader there is an option to "enable scrolling" of pages, which makes reading so much easier.  I can't find any options at all in ADE.  Plus, I'm so used to pages scrolling in other programs that I automatically reach for the mouse wheel, then, of course, have to go back and hunt for the page where I was.Windows Vista Home SP2, on a desktop computerADE 4.0.2.ADE 4.5 is downloading nowThanks for any suggestions.

My book store send me an acsm-file but Digital Editions can't open it and crashes everytime I try to open it. Normal epub-files work just fine but acsm-files are impossible to open. Maybe it's the latest update? I don't know... I already tried to delete the former authorization and authorize again. Also I tried re-installing the program and installing earlier versions of Digital editions. Nothing has worked so far.

Não consigo incluir ebooks que comprei na livraria da Travessa, eles pararam de comercializar ebooks e me aconselharam a fazer backup no adobe digital editions, só que não consigo inclui-los na biblioteca do adobe, tampouco consigo ler em outros aplicativos porque os  livros são protegidos por DRM. Alguém sabe como pode me ajudar?

Dear Adobe team, After the last update, a standard feature stopped working. I publish eBooks on a regular base in the Apple Book Store. I use .indb files to bundle .indd files and the Hyperlink feature to provide forward and backward navigation. This feature still works in the epub preview (go to hyperlink) before export and works in the interactive pdf export. However, it does not work anymore in the fixed epub export, which I need for the Apple Book Store publication.What to do, I have contracts to fulfill?

I was sent here by the help desk, and I see it will be a futile effort to get help. Previously I have been able to print from Digital Editions with no problem. Now the printing runs off the page on the right side and bottom. I have tried changing the settings, deleting and reinstalling the program, deleting and redownloading the book I need to print. Nothing helps. Hoping someone will figure this out and let me/us know.

To transfer a library book from Adobe Digital Editions to my Kobo e-reader, I am told to authorize my computer. When I try and do this it asks for my Adobe ID and Password. I give both but am then told "you can only authorize this computer with an Adobe ID that hasn't been previously used to authorize any other computer or mobile devices. Please try again". I only have one Adobe ID and password so what am I supposed to do. "Please try again" is an idiot answer. Anybody have a  solution?   Thanks, Tony

I tried to authorize my computer for Adobe Digital Editions, but I got an error message saying that I cannot use an ID that has already been used to authorize another device (I have previously authorized my laptop with this ID). The error message makes no sense to me since the whole point of authorization is to be able to read books on several devices.   When I try to open my Ebook without authorization, I get the E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER error so that is not an option either.   Can someone please help me solve this issue?   Thank you in advance!

Every time i try and start up/Open ADE, I get the ADE box with Loading Library... in white. That is as far as I can get. I have run in Administrator, I have reinstalled ADE. I have over 200 books in my ADE library, but now everything has suddenly stopped.

Hello is there any way to recover the highlights from a book that has expired? I have downloaded the book again but the highlights have not transferred over. really hoping there’s a way! thanks Greg

how do you read books through adobe digital editions if you have two ereaders?

HiIf I don't have my laptop with me I would still like to be able to borrow library books (or buy books) directly to my phone and transfer it to my Kobo ereader on the go. SInce I prefer reading books on the ereader.I have ADE installed on my phone and authorized the phone with the Adobe ID (the same ID I use for my laptop and Kobo ereader). From my phone I can sign in to my local library, download the the DRM protected book to phone and open it/read it in ADE or Bluefire. Now, instead of reading it on the phone, I would like to transfer/copy it to my Kobo ereader. I connect the ereader to the phone with an OTG cable. I can now see all files on the ereader through the file manager. But the ADE app on the phone doesn't have any option to transfer a book to an external device. Like one do on the laptop in WIndows. So I copied the book file to the ereader, disconnected the ereader and tried open it.  But I then get the message that the  ereader is not authorized to read this fil

Hi,Since the last two days, I encounter the following error message from Adobe Digital Editions every time I try to download any ebook from Open Library...that is, when I double-click the ACSM file:"Unable to DownloadError getting License. License Server Communication Problem:E_ADEPT_NO_FULFILLMENT_REQUEST"I've already tried uninstalling and then re-installing ADE. I've also tried to "Erase Authorization" and then re-authorized my computer. But the error persists. Please help!
