Digital Editions

Hello, why Digital editions continues to show books in my library that I returned? There is a black and gray book icon with a "new" banner on it and a little cloud in the left corner. I delete them, they reappear with each new download. It's really embarrassing.

I have a Nook Glowlight 3 and regularly get library books from Overdrive.  I have been downloading the books to my computer via ADE and then transferring them to my Nook.  Recently some of the books have not been transferring correctly.  They appear in the MyFiles section of my library but when I click on them it forces me to connect to the internet and then sign in to ADE. It usually requires me to sign in twice and then tells me the book cannot be opened because it has been returned. Even though it has not been returned and can still be opened and read on ADE on my computer.  This is not happening to all the books only some of them.  It is EXTREMELY annoying and has only been happening recently but it is happening to more and more books. Any ideas on the solution?

I have installed adobe digital editions on my smartphone after havec installed on my PC. Impossible to read the books on this device, but after that impossible to read on my PC too! And impossible to read on my sony T1 reader too.A pop up message syas that I can't use Adobe on more than one device!What's that rotten stuff??

"Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.8 allows seamless fulfillment of books across devices: With this new feature, when a consumer fulfills a book on one device, the book will be automatically downloaded to all the other devices that belong to this consumer (activated using the same user ID)."This feature doesn't work for me:I installed ADE on my Mac and authorised it with my Adobe ID. 'Automatically download synced books to this device' is checked.I also installed ADE on my Android phone and authorised it with the same ID. Auto download is enabled.I've added a book to my library in ADE on my Mac but it does not appear on my phone.I've also added a book to my library in ADE on my phone but it does not appear on my Mac.The sync feature across devices doesn't seem to be working - can you please investigate.

I wanted to authorise my e reader on Adobe Digital Editions but I can't find the button devices even though I connected my ereader to my computer.

I am extremely disappointed by this software. I purchased an e-book requiring that I use ADE and authorized my computer to download it, then I went to authorize another device with the same Adobe ID, but received the following error message: "You can only authorize this computer with an Adobe ID that hasn't been previously used to authorize any other computer or mobile devices. Please try again"This being the case, how am I supposed to view my purchase on 6 other devices like I am supposed to be able to do? Create a separate user ID for each device I want to download it to? If so, how can I then transfer my purchases between devices? Plus, Adobe offers no support for this free software (at least not via chat or over the phone). Thus, after being on the phone with the vendor, removing it from my library, being issued another link to download the purchase, de-authorizing my computer, re-authorizing it again, downloading the new link to ADE on my computer, signing out, and trying to re-au

HelloCan we integrate the installation of Digital Edition in our product installer in orer to install it automatically on our customer PC?On FAQ (Adobe Digital Editions | FAQ ) it says that it is not possible to redistribute Disgital edition from an external website but can we add its installation inside our installation program?ThanksSandrine

This is my problem:  I downloaded a library book to ADE and from there to my Kobo, but am unable to open it on the Kobo - it gives the message:  "your ereader is not authorized to open this book"I contacted Kobo support and they gave me a long list of instructions: 1. Delete the book from the Kobo please 2.Deauthorize ADE with the eReader 3.Deauthorize ADE with the computer 4. Delete the book from ADE 5. Delete the book from the computer ( usually you have a downloads file and a my adobe digital editions file) delte the book from both 6. Delete ADE 7. Download ADE version 3.0 8. Authorize ADE 3.0 with the computer 9. Close ADE10. Open ADE and download the book to ADE 11. Close ADE 12. Connect Your ereader to your computer 13. Open ADE 14. Authorize ADE with the eReader 15. Who designed this and why has there seemingly been no effort to improve it in years? The program doesn't save highlights. I've lost 4 books and hundreds of highlights thanks to this piece of sh*t program.The annotation files when loaded produce nothing. There are countless threads on this and Adobe never resolves it. You should pull the program rather than continuing to waste peoples time.

I just downloaded an ebook, it has been opened through "Adobe Digital Editions", yet I am unable to search the book using the small search bar on the right. When I type in words that I know are in the book, it continues to give me "No matches found". How can I enable searching within this document?

I purchased a digital edition of a textbook (if it matters, it's An Introduction to Modern Cosmology by Andrew Little, published by Wiley) and it opens perfectly well in the Adobe Digital Editions software (I'm on a PC running Windows 8.1) and although I can type a search term in the search field, nothing happens.  Any suggestions?  The reason I bought a digital edition was to be able to search, so this has been a problem.Thanks!Ed

I have deleted and reinstalled my ADE, currently version 4.5.8, and it works perfectly: I can see the miniature window when I move my mouse to the ADE symbol in the taskbar, BUT it will NOT go full size. It is the only program I have with this problem: all other programs go full size when I click on them in the taskbar. So how can I make ADE go full size, so that I can actually see it properly?

After upgrading my tablet I am unable to authorize Adobe Digital Editions. I get the error: E_ACT_TOO_MANY_ACTIVATIONS http//adeactivate.adobe.com/adept/Activate 5624:624:6624 urn:uuid:c238d6e6-002d-4a51-9c03-c5f951d335d0.On the page FAQ | Adobe Digital Editions it shows that I need to contact support to get the number of available authorizations reset. So could the Adobe representative who sees this post reset all current authorizations on my account.

I go to settings in the app on my iphone and click on authorize and it will not let me enter any information. No keyboard pops up.I have books downloaded to may computer and they are supposed to automatically show up on the iphone with the same authorization. Nothing is showing up - not the sample book or the ones I purchased.Is there a problem with this app and iPhone 6? Do I uninstall and reinstall the app? I tried refreshing the app and I restarted the phone.Thanks for your help.Jirina

I am trying to deauthorize my computer but it won't do it. Can you help?  I have tried the normal way through the ADE program on my computer.

It only opens the library but the e-book is not visible. After several trials came a notice, the data is invalid.

I bought a book using my iPad, then I decided to pass on my iPad to my daughter but when I tried to open my book in my computer, I can’t even see my book on my account, nor in my library! I’ve followed every single instruction, suggestion, etc, that Adobe has given me and nothing. I’m extremely disappointed. I cannot buy the book again and I would’ve loved to pass on this device, but I need my book! ADE seems to have a lot of flaws. If anyone out there knows how to solve this problem, pls help me. Hi, I have bought an expensive book and I would like to have access in more than one of my devices. First I was able to install it in my macbook without authorization. But now I want to continue having access to the book through the iPad and cannot manage to do it. I figured it was because in the iPad I had authorization and in the macbook i didn't. I tried to solve that just to find that message, that I cannot authorize more than one device... the point is that now I don't know how to access the book from the iPad.Any ideas?Thanks

So yesterday I loaded my adobe up and I just get a blank screen.. It does not show anything. My library books don't load nothing loads. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. I have done nothing different. IT work Friday when I returned some of my library books but when loaded Sun was unable to download new books. I am new to this Forums but really want the program to work. IS there anybody on here who can help me out... I am stressed and alot going on in my life and my ebooks take me away for all.. Thanks.

Hi,I bought an E Book from the publisher Pearson. I can open it in the ADE App but cannot read beyond page 42 although the book has over 900 pages. Also printing on paper or printing to PDF is not possible. Pearson says that the E-Book is fine. Anyone ideas what the problem could be?Thanks in advance.Joachim
