ADE 4.5.12 briefly opens (for like a second) and then quits on macOS 15.7.3. I have tried many things, like restarting, uninstalling and restarting, manually deleting the activation.dat file to deauthorize and then reauthorizing. When I do all that, it works. I am able to open ADE when I delete the activation.dat file, and then reauthorize it. It seems to work. I am able to then open an ACSM file (a library ebook). All is well. And then again, quits. And then, whenever I open it again, it is back to quitting in a second. The time it stays open (if you can call it that) is not enough to do anything, not even ctrl-shift-d to deauthorize (which is why I resorted to deleting the activation.dat file manually). I see a very recent post of a similar problem, but not exactly, as their ADE seems to stay open to do stuff. Just started today: error Unable to download Error getting License Server Communication Problem: E_ADEPT_NO_FULFILLMENT_RESULT for books purchased on Google Play.I purchased a new book and received this error. I then tested other Google Play books I own and get the same error on all of them now even though I had previously been able to fulfill them. I then tested books I borrowed from my local library and it fulfills all of them with no problem.  So far I have found very little of use in researching this error. Anybody else getting the same issue fulfilling google play purchased books? Any solutions?

How can I see and manage authorized devices? I don't want to improve the number of authorized devices, but only manage (especially remove) them.

When I download a library book, I get the error message "Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_ACT_NOT_READY", as well as when I try to authorize my copy of digital editions to my account (in an attempt to deal with this.) I have used it to view ebooks from my college library successfully, though not recently.Help?

I'm getting the following error in Adobe Digital Editions (v4.5.12.85) on Mac every time I try to open .acsm files purchased from Google Play Books:"Unable to download. Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_ADEPT_XML_SYNTAX"Solutions I've already tried:Deauthorized (Ctrl+Shift+D) and reauthorized with my Adobe ID Deleted all ADE data from ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions/ Completely uninstalled and reinstalled ADE (clean install) Reauthorized with the same Adobe ID used for the purchases Downloaded fresh .acsm files after reinstallingNone of these steps made any difference. Same error every time.I also contacted Google Play support first, and they said this is an Adobe-side issue. Then I contacted Adobe support directly, but was told ADE doesn't have support and was directed here.Has anyone been able to resolve this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have dyslexia. I downloaded it to read e-books through the adobe digital editions program. It does not have a text-to-speech feature. Can software engineers add text-to-speech feature to adobe digital editions? I think it is very important that it appeals to a more inclusive consumer audience.

I work on MacOS Tahoe 26.3.1. I recently switched computers, but I can't buy new ebooks or open some of my old ones. Screenshots of the windows are attached.

When I try to add my Adobe ID to NOOK so I can use ADE, I don’t get any error messages but the ID never shows up as being on my account. I contacted NOOK support and all they would do is tell me to contact ADE. As far as I can tell, posting on this community is the only way to contact any ADE support, so I’m doing it mostly just to tell B&N that I did what they said since I don’t expect anyone here can fix a problem that almost certainly is in the NOOK. It’d be great if I turn out to be wrong, though...

Hello,  I work for an organization that is hoping to send a request for information for Adobe Digital Editons for DRM management for our e-books. I read on this website that Harman now handles support for this product. The problem I’m running into is that I have not heard back from their support email ebooks@harman.com for more than a week. It was suggested I post here for more information. Could anyone provide assistance?

Je sollicite donc un peu d’aide pour me mettre sur la voie, merci d’avance. 😉😙

Ik heb verschillende acties gedaan maar niets helpt:- Adobe opnieuw geinstalleerd- autorisatie opnieuw gedaan van mijn adobe ID- andere kobo e -reader eraan gekoppeld- Tijdelijke bestanden van adobe verwijderd De melding die ik krijg is : (reageert niet)  bovenaan het programma als ik deze heb geopend. het is wel gelukt om boeken over te zetten van de bibliotheek naar adobe. I am unable to authorize my new Windows desktop computer as I have reached the maximum 6 device authorization limit on my Adobe ID.I have legally purchased DRM-protected books which can only be accessed through Adobe Digital Editions. I am not able to contact support through the online chat as there is no active paid subscription linked to my accountCould you please de-authorize old and unused devices from my Adobe ID so that I can authorize my new Windows computer?Only keep my Mac and this new Windows 11 computer.

As I previously stated, Adobe Digital Editions stopped launching fully. I downloaded an ASCM file from Libby, but it never translated to an ePUB file (file did not show in My Digital Editions). So, I launched ADE hoping to open the file there, but after about 10 seconds it just closed. I uninstalled and reinstalled with a freshly downloaded file, and that has not changed anything. Wondering what I need to do to get this fixed, as I read all my books on a Nook and have had no trouble in the past downloading converting and sideloading ePUB files to it.

Since some time my ADE 4.5 will not open. It appears on the taskbar, and putting my cursor on it I get a picture of it as it it should look if fully opened, but when clicking on it nothing happens; the program does not come up on the screen. Since several months back I am running Windows 10 and have installed all offered updates, but I don't think that is what is causing the problem, which has only started recently. Or could it perhaps have been caused by a recent Windows 10 update?

I have a Kindle Paperwhite and I've downloaded Adobe Digital Editions onto my Mac to be able to read an eBook I borrowed from my library. I'm using the latest version 4.5.11 and have authorised my computer. When I connect my Kindle via USB and open Digital Editions my device does not appear. No combination of plugging/unplugging/restarting/opening/closing gets this to work. Very frustrating as this is the only way for me to read eBooks from my library!   Is there any official support for this app or a way to check version compatability?

J'ai trouvé la solution et cela fonctionne avec ADE 3.0 ert ADE 4.5, pour charger de nouveaux livres et pour les transférer dans mes liseuses ( SAGA et DIVA ). Bien à vous tous  La solution n’est pas intuitive, mais elle est relativement simple:1.Trouver le dossierMy Digital Editiondans vos Documents.2.Renommer le dossier:My Digital Edition.old3.Désinstaller et réinstaller ADE, de préférence le 3.0.4.Tester pour s’assurer que tout fonctionne normalement Et voilà cela fonctionne ! j’ai pu recharger les fichiers epub et acsmsans problème, aussi bien dans ADE 3.0 que dans 4.5.

Bonjour, Je rencontre un problème lors de l'ouverture d'adobe digital editions. Je clique pour ouvrir le programme, l'icône s'affiche sur ma barre des tâches comme d'habitude, comme si le programme était ouvert sauf que lorsque je veux ouvrir la fenêtre celle-ci ne s'ouvre pas sur mon écran. J'ai beau essayé de cliquer dessus rien. J'ai désinstallé et j'ai réinstallé mais rien n'y fait.  Auriez-vous rencontré le même problème ?
