Related to the documented procedure to fix the E_AUTH_NOT_READY issue. The host computer, and the existing Sony Reader (discontinued device, unfortunately) is currently authorized with an Adobe ID through the corresponding Sony "Reader for PC" application.I try now to add a new reader (Kobo), and possibly transfer existing DRM-ed epub books to it.For this purpose I have installed ADE 4.5, and by default ADE doesn't detect this PC as being authorized (presumably because the authorization has been performed through Sony Reader for PC).When trying to authorize it (and hopefully, also the attached new reader - the Kobo), I get the E_AUTH_NOT_READY error.I have read the instructions to work around it, but wonder if by first deauthorizing the PC, then re-authorizing ity, I will NOT lose access to ANY of my current books, authorized with the Sony Reader app (and the same Adobe ID). I am afraid to perform any destructive step without any way to revert to the previous situation in the case of pr
A little information first...Tablet information...Manufacture: SonyModel: Xperia 4 (SGP771)Android Version: 7.0 Adobe Digital Editions App information...Version 4.5.4Update 29/01/2017I have downloaded the link from Saxo.dk "urllink (2).ascm" to my download directory of my Tab...As soon as I try to open the link "urllink (2).ascm" the Adobe Digital Editions app opens and nothing happens... I believe that it's the "Adobe Digital Editions" App, as the popup screen for the download of the book doesn't appear. I have downloaded the same app on my Sony Z2 and Z3 phone and it seams to work correctly. ?????So this has left me to clear the "Adobe Digital Editions" app cache and then the data, then finally force stop and uninstall the ADE app. When it was reinstalled that I still had the 7 habits ebook, but I tried again with the link no joy as no pop up screen appered!De
this is the worst programm ever, none of my books can be read properly, does anyone know what is the problem beside that horrible prgramm?
I am trying to download an acsm file in Downloads (running Firefox) and everytime the download is complete Adobe Digital Editions comes back with a message that Adobe Digital Editions has "unexpectedly stopped".I am running Safari on a Macbook Pro. Is this likelt to be a problem associated with Firefox? Until I get some discussion going I will close down Firefox nd run Safari instead.
Every time I try to borrow a book from the library, I get the error message: 'Cannot connect to fulfillment server. Please check your internet connection'I have checked my internet connectionI have checked my firewallI have deauthorised and re-authorised my computerI have uninstalled and reinstalled DE3I have tried to install DE4.5When i try to download 4.5, I get a pop up that says: 'This is a binary file. Would you like to Save or Cancel'I save the file and then go to downloads, when I click on the 4.5 version download, nothing happens. So I reinstall version 3.I am able to purchase books from Kobo but I still not able to borrow books. Can anyone tell me why this is happening? Or at least give me some advice on something else to try.
My old computer died. I've purchased a new one. When I try to download a book, I get an error message: E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER. So how do I convince Adobe that I am the same person who purchased the book in the first place?
It said that I cannot confirm my id on this computer because I use from an other computer or cell phone and I don't think that i'm using it from some where elsesomeone can help me please ? Thank you
I bought my pdf from broadviewpress, I am working on a pc and I believe the issue was caused as I tried opening the file through the recommended app which was "Overdrive- Ebooks and Audiobooks" but since it didn't work as it couldn't open up pdf's I had to go back and try the original instructions which led me to download abobe digital editions. Now each time I try to download I get this message "E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER." Please advise as to how to proceed.

I can download files from Edelweiss and it will automatically open Adobe Digital, but the file never appeareally in the library.
I recently purchased an Acer Iconia One 7 and downloaded Adobe Digital Additions. I successfully borrowed and read an ebook through my local library download service. I would like to return this book but have been unable to pull up any tab that gives me this option. Nor have I been able to get a page called "Bookshelf" from which, in theory, I should be able to return the book.
I bought an ebook while on vacation. It is now on my iPad in ADE. How do I get it to my Nook without a computer? When I get home, will it show up in ADE on my computer? I used the same AdobeID on my iPad that I use on my computer at home.
Adobe team, this is obviously not working correctly.Multiple users have tried reinstalling the app on PC, re-authorizing the account, but sync is not working across devices. Can we expect some official known issue post from you and ETA for the fix?For a workaround, we are copy/pasting book files between devices manually, which is not the intended way this should work.Thank you!

Trying to download books from the library to my eReader and I am getting an error - Check Activation. Adobe confirms everything is fine for activation.

I bought an eBook and tried to read it in Adobe Digital Editions but couldn't - I received the above error message.I have 8 books bought from the same seller and can read 1 in Adobe Digital Editions - every other book gives the same error message.I have deleted the progarmme, removed Digital Editions from the registry and Adept, restarted, logged into my Adobe account with my Adobe I.D, - installed Digital Editions - same result.I can read the books in the library, but that's not what I got them for - I want to read them offline on my laptop. Can anybody please put me on the right path?Thank you so much.

I have successfully been using my Kobo ereader regularly with local library downloaded epub books, until this past week. The books look like they have downloaded into the ereader but when I try to open them I get the message - "Oops! This document couldn't be opened. This document is protected by Adobe Digital Rights Management [DRM] and is not currently authorized for use with your Adobe ID. Please sign-in with the authorized Adopbe IS and try again. www.kobo.com/help" My PC laptop with Windows 10 tells me that my authorization is up to date. Can you please help me fix this issue?
Can download epub from local library that uses Overdrive, ADE then acts like it's got it and allows me to drag and drop to Nook, but the book either never appears on the Nook or it won't open. Have uninstalled and reinstalled, deleted Adept folder from registry, created and coordinated new Adobe IDs and made sure Nook and ADE are using the same one. Have deauthorized and reauthorized, de-activated and reactivated. Even bought this new Windows 10 PC because the same problems were unsolvable on Windows 7 (although up until a few months ago this all worked flawlessly and then suddenly stopped with no identifiable cause.) The error messages are too numerous to recall - "user not activated", " no record of loan", "loan expired and book returned" and many others using words/terms I don't understand. Apparently many others have been experiencing the same issue. Sometimes one of the remedies I've listed has worked for them but many are still having the issue. I have been through al
Greetings,I have downloaded Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 and when I download a book from Google Play Books it locks up on "downloading content." I will have to then use the task manager to terminate Adobe Digital Editions. After terminating ADE, I will launch ADE 4.5 and discover that the book appears on my bookshelf. When I try to access the e-book, it locks up again. Then I will have to use the task manager again to terminate ADE. However, this time, there will be another copy (two) of the same e-book.This e-book will open using ADE 3. I have also attempted to uninstall and re-install the application. I have de-authorized the computer several times. And deleted the Adept registry key.ADE 4.5 will read the PDF version of the ACSM file and not the e-pub format.Any suggestions?
