Dimension

When I open dimension there a small cloud icon at the top right which says 'I'm not logged in and some features are unavailable', but in reality I'm actually logged in to creative cloud, why doesn't dimension recognize it. Can you please help me out with.

Hi, trying to design a camper in Dimension and cannot for the life of me make a triangle. I just want a flat triangle to cover the side of a shape but I can't get one. The best I can do is create a perfect isosceles triangle, but this wont do. I need different shaped triangles for my design! Please help me, thanks!

Hello everyone, not sure if anyone bought the new Bog Sur Macbook? I just spent 2 hours with Adobe customer service and was told that Dimension is not compatible with the new M1 Macbookpro. When will this issue be sorted? 

How do I make the optimal extrude where you can not see the illustrator path that I have used - especially when it has to be a transparent object. What am I doing wrong ..? Please see attach. Thanks!

I'm trying to apply a decal as an overlay which has cutouts and holes in. The problem is the decal always distorts... Every single overlay I need to replicate has cutouts in so currently with this bug I am simply not able to use the software. The problem has been happening since Dimension was released (2 years ago), so i always find myself removing the software since it isnt fit for purpose then trying months later to see if it has been fixed... Which is never is.

Hi, I created a simple 3D model of a drawer using Blender, and exported it as an .obj. As you can see from my screenshots, the model displays fine in both Blender and Photoshop, but carries strange additional planes when imported into Dimension. Any idea why this would be, and how I can fix it? I created this drawer by applying a difference between two rectangular shapes (using Boolean modifier), and then a difference between the resulting shape and a cylinder. Would there be a better way to create this shape in Blender for use in Dimension? Thank you!

Hello, very new to dimension here. I notice on the grid you can access and move objects by coordinates. However, the grid isn't the traditional cartesian system, the Z axis is where the Y axis should be. Is there a way to change the layout? I haven't been able to find an answer. John

I am in the middle of my first 3D rendering project for a fancy house under construction, using Adobe Dimension and "inches" as my unit of measurement for the app's ruler. (I have switched between my windows laptop and my partners macbook air using the cloud file storage.) It is not until now that I am coming full circle around the perimeter of the building, knitting it all together, when I've realized that the dimensions taken directly and specifically from the blueprint do not add up within the Dimension UI, leaving gaps at the back of the house between where the last 2 walls should meet, among other proportion issues now rearing their heads such as posts a set distance away from the patio doors not adding up. Even summing up the total length of the wall faces on 2 different directional sides of the building (there are various points where rooms poke out and/or recess from the next/last room behind them) and creating an object of that length doesnt line up with the edges of the build

Hello! I can clearly see how to contribute images and videos etc. to Adobe stock, and I can also see that there are stock 3D models available on Adobe stock for purchase to use in Adobe Dimension, but I can't see a way to upload my models for sale in this way. I am a 3D artist and currently use Sketchfab and Unity Asset Store, and would be keen to add this platform to the list. Many thanks,Jakub

First time error/bug reporter here so please understand my lack of software lingo. When using Adobe Dimension I am running into two seperate bugs/errors. The first being black, pixelated areas appear in the design window area please see attached photo (randomly placed everytime application is started). Second issue being an error message (photo included) mentioning that dimension needs to restart due to an error. This message only displays when I attempt to render models with substance materials applied. Maybe I am using the substance materials incorrectly, I assumed they could be applied to models just like any other material in dimension. Also I aquired these substance materials from adobe stock. Also I attached my Dimensions log per the error message, I am assuming this is needed for diagnogstic purposes.

Curious if anyone has been able to solve (or if a plug-in is available) to control the camera zoom when publishing a 3D object after generating the link. The camera currently is zooming inside of the object.  We'd like to have the interactivity of using the mouse to orbit around the model, however limiting the dolly zoom. Has anyone had a similar issue and have been able to figure this out?

I just installed the latest version of Dimension (Adobe Dimension Version 3.4.0, Build 3.4-20200908.r.2791-611127e) on my Mac Mini 2018.This mac runs Catalina 10.15.7 on an integrated iGPU - Intel 630 1.5G and an external eGPU - AMD Radeon Pro 580. I have a tub object I have been using for a while and usually use it with a capsule object and I can place the capsules inside the tub with no issues. I recently downloaded a gel capsule object from Adobe and placed it in my scene. For some reason when I place the gel capsule inside the tub it disappears. I have no idea why this could be happening? When I render my object from Dimension to a PSD, I'm getting a strange result. The preview of the PSD looks fine, but when you open it, only half of the glass is transparent When I export the PNG, it's fine, but I need it to be transparent.Any help appreciatedThanks

Hi,  Just re installed Dimension after a Covid break.  It will not load I get to the info page below, and that is it?  Any help out there please?

Does anyone know when this will be available? I'm sort of upset that I cannot use Dimension right now on my new Mac with the M1 chip. Or is it available and I'm just missing something??

Hi All,I have created a large city scale model in Infraworks that is 200kmsq and have used Dimension to publish section of a masterplan online to share with clients.  Due to the scale of the model, i have to export from Infraworks as mulitple OBJ's and struggle to position these back together in Dimension.  Does anyone have any tips to get around this? or how to import a model in the right geo-spatial location?  Any help would be greatly appericated, and happy to share a publish verison of a section of the model for other that want to look at using dimension with Infraworks.  

Are there plans to expand Export formats supported by Dimension? Right now, the ability to import FBX files integrates nicely with our higher-end 3D platforms; it would be great to support formats that better allow round-trip integration with platforms such as Cinema 4D, Maya, and Unreal. 

new laptop with specs as below.Dimensions (3.4) firstly wouldnt open due to the openGL error which i fixed with a GL extensions viewer download. However, now theres no error popping up but Dimensions still will not open or even show in my task manager. The weird bit is when I try and unistall to reinstall it pops up with the error message "conflict uninstalling dimension - save your work and close following program before continuing".I havnt had any previous versions installed or used on this PC.  All other adobe apps are working as per usual.  Any help would be greatly appriecated!!!
