Dimension

Ciao scusate se scrivo in Italiano. Purtroppo ho alcuni problemi ad aprire alcune files pesanti. Mi si blocca la schermata e non si apre più niente. Devo forzare la chiusura del programma. Gli altri files più leggeri non mi danno problemi. Cosa posso fare?   Grazie   [edits ussnorway] Hi sorry if I write in Italian. Unfortunately I have some problems opening some heavy files. The screen freezes and nothing opens. I have to force the program to close. The other lighter files don't give me problems. What can I do?   Thanks  

Thank you in advance for any helpful notes. 🙂I'm attempting to create a custom glass bottle OBJ using Illustrator and Photoshop to then import into Dimension. I've created a simple outline of my bottle using the pen tool in illustrator, but when I create a 3d layer in photoshop the smooth curves render very poorly.   As you can see below, horizontal lines are appearing across all curved surfaces. The same occurs if I export an OBJ and import to Dimension. The same striation is happening on what should be a simple smooth curve. Am I missing a step anywhere? What is causing this?   

Hi all! Im having trouble with the models I've created and placing graphics on them as you can see in the screenshots attached they seem to work fine except they duplicate on the inside which isnt a huge issue but it looks strange.

Hi, I just bought a spaceship model from a website, download it, and then imported the .fbx file into dimension, but it just appears as an outline on the design screen. I've got all the textures but how do I have the model appear correctly in dimension with it's textures applied?

Under Environment Properties I have no Sunlight options. My Dimension software is up-to-date 3.0

Hi! I working in Dimension with export to Aero, works ok, but I see inside Aero you can put 3d models with animation (like dinosaur), I try export 3d model from Autodesk Maya to Dimension, using FBX to keep animation, but doesn't works, How I can create model and keep animation to export to Aero?

Okay, so I have been trying to days to render this scene in various ways with various changes and boxes checked and unchecked and nothing is working.  Here is a shot of my computer and the version of Dimension, along with the error that keeps popping up.I've tried rendering it locally, I've tried using the cloud.  Neither works.  If I try locally, the apple blue waiting ball just spins and spins endlessly for hours even, until I tell it to simply cancel the render.  It never seems to progress or do anything.When I try to cloud render, it uploads the file just fine.  Then it says processing or whatever and I wait.  Then after a while, I just get back that error message that it was unable to cloud render.I'll attach a screenshot of the scene I'm trying to render.  It's a board game layout.  Do I have too many graphics?  They are all formatted for web, so all the little tiles are only like 400kb images.  The board and box are like 7 and 10

this question keeps coming up so I'm putting my steps down for others to try step 1; open Photoshop and use the bottle preset template... this makes a correct bottle everytime and is the single best option for most senarios templates are great but sometimes you need a special shape and this is how i make mine the key points are that it has a hole at the top (because i want this bottle to allow things inside it) and it touches at the bottom (because I don't want things to leak out)... yes 3d objects don't need to follow real world rules but they look better if you do transform = bottom right extrusion = zero hoz angle = 360 step 2 now that we have a base bottle i set the opacity extrusion = 33% all others set to zero important: always export the model as wavefront Obj with Png textures [not Jpeg] Dimension work flow step 3 import the model, pick the background, materials [frosted glass and a top from another model in this example] then do a quick rendor step 4 add the extra beer

Hi,I'm working with Illustrator and Photoshop and I want to put my work on next level. I'm a footwear designer and I'm looking for a way to make shoe design in 3D. I already had a look at Dimension CC but I don't suppose it is the right program for making shoe design, does it? I appreciate any suggestion how to start and what program would you work with. I am new to Adobe Creative Cloud, and have always dreamed of learning to use software of a such.  I am very disappointed that everyime I create something I feel is one of my masterpieces that the screen turns to glitter, or just everything gets resized right before I think I am going to save things with everything locked in place.  I can swear that someone else is controlling my computer and it can get extremely frustrating.  It is either someone is stealing all of my creative work which I am very displeased, I can't ever do anything for myself just for enjoyment.  It should not be like this being I can hardly afford this software as it is at the moment, and I just wanted to find a new hobby.  I know there are sayings con-artist, and with hypnotism included (NOT ASKED FOR!!!!) its a shame I never can do anything for myself, when I am truly the creative one, everyone else has robed my creativity from me my whole life. You would think at 32 years old that person

I have MacPro with x2 intel Xeon 5670 and a Radeon RX580 as GPU but I can't run Dimension.Should I upgrade my processor to a Xeon 5675 ? Or is it the graphic card that is not compatible ? Thanks in advance.

When opening Dimension, the canvas doesn's show there just appears a grey area. How can I make my canvas appear?

I'm having trouble with decal application to some custom STL files I have imported. (image attached) the image distorts around certain edging pulling the decal over the sides of the object. I want to remove the top part of the bottle or scale it down (that part only) because the real bottle has a small diameter opening and that's what I want and then use the cap. How can I do that?

When publishing a 3D scene to view on a web browser, the object becomes dark. No matter the lighting, it appears shaded. Am I missing a step or setting to keep lighting consistent from Dimension to a browser?

Hallo Zusammen,ich hätte da eine Frage: arbeite erst seit kurzem mit Dimension... ich möchte ein Etikett auf eine 330 ml sleek Dose legen, das funktioniert auch, jedoch bekomme ich es nicht ganz geschlossen, es bleibt eine Lücke. Siehe Screenshot.Wäre schön wenn mir jemand helfen könnte bezüglich dieser Lücke 🙂Ich sage schonmal Vielen Dank .

I create some kind of bucket with photoshop 3D extrudeI then export it as OBJ and import It to dimension.when I tried to add a decal to the bucket it was placed with half of it hidden and rotated (see image)I know I can resize it and rotate it to fit but I would like to learn more on how to make it better when creating it on photoshop.my problems:decal not placed fully visibledecal not aligned to the 3D objectdecal, although exported as JPG with 300dpi not placed in the correct size (lets say I have a cube with 20cm each side and I want to have 10cm label on it I want the decal fit the size accodring to the DPI set)

I am trying to mock up a 3d skinnable version of my sanctuary.  There are members of the board who want to see an "end game" idea of the projects we are proposing.  i want to make a 3d model of the space in which i can digitally complete phases of the total project so they can "see" what we are talking about.   I haven't been able to find anything that works.  I am using Dimension now and I am having a little bit of trouble with what i feel should be basic tasks.  i.e. Triangle shapes, Moving the camera, etc.   I have watched tutorials but this product has WAY less materials available that any other adobe product.    Is there a better software to use with in or out side of the adobe suite for this task?  Any feedback is welcome.  thanks!

Hi, I cretaed a quick Model in Mixamo where the character is pointing up. I exported the FXB model and when I import it inti Adobe Dimensions it is in the T-Pose and not the Pointing Pose.I imported the Mixamo file into Poser Pro 11 (after th eBlender hack to make it import properly) I exported it as an FXB file and it still goes into Dimensions in the T-Pose.Hoe do I import the FXB model into Dimensions in the correct Pose?

Hey guys !I work on a cup design for a festival and i've this problem for my label. How fix it ? 

A few months back (maybe July-ish) I had downloaded Dimensions on my work computer and was able to create no problem. Now (in November) I only get a grey screen and objects do not show up at all on the canvas. Not even the background pictures or in the tutorial mode. My computer has not changed (besides the standard updates) and I have the newest version of dimensions. Anyone know what the problem is or what changed? Better yet: is there a way to fix this?
