How do I get images to display in the design view?The images has a PHP code to them with <?php echo $DIR?> at the beginning.The images appear in the live preview which obviously then runs the PHP server script.

Hello, all,On Google Maps, if you type in a location and hit enter you are directed to that location on the map.  If you zoom in and out, the URI will change; if you slide the map in any direction, the URI will change.  That way, you can copy the URI, paste it into another browser, and you get the same everything in the other browser (map or satellite; zoomed in status; etc.)How does Google do that?  Just curious.V/r,^ _ ^

Well! This is annoying.I hadn't opened Dreamweaver in a while, but I still find it's a great way to format Microsoft Word text into HTML.However, on my Dreamweaver CC v19.2 for Mac, every time I click in the Design View pane, just to insert my cursor or to highlight text, I get this dialogue box that prevents me from typing or editing the text in the design view. It makes editing text impossible.As you can see in my screenshot, I'm definitely in Split Code/Design View. It also happens in just Design View.I've tried View > Design View Options > Hide All I've tried ticking and unticking that Disable [Pirate Ship Wheel] Indicator - no affectI've tried unticking Preferences > Code Hints > Options > Enable code hints and Enable description toolsHow do I turn this feature off?

All of a sudden I get a strange error message.  Tried three versions of Dreamweaver, get the same message?  Tried re-boot but this one escapes me? I see on this forum that this seems to have been a problem for a while. Here is my story today and what I did with Tech Support who had no idea of this problem.I'm a little afraid to continue to build a site I'm working on, since it will have a base template and 5 or 6 nested templates. Seems like a very risky course of action to continue building. Maybe someone out there has an answer. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Good morning - I have a client that wants an overlay, onto an existing image, that is triggered by a drop down menu link.  Any ideas if and how this can be done in Dreamweaver 19.2?

I have watched the tutorial and read through the forums but have been unable to get past this issue. When I try to associate Dreamweaver to my GIT repository it says "Dreamweaver could not locate the Git client on your computer". Tried everything I can think of. Any suggestions much appreciated.

I have Run into this Error "dynamically -related files could not be resolved because the site definition is not correct for this server."I have set up a testing Server in SITES > MANAGE SITES. Greetings,I've used Adobe Dreamweaver CS5 for about a decade now, and I'm used to the color scheme used in the code editor for HTML and PHP tags/variables, etc.I recently upgraded to Adobe Dreamweaver CC 2019 after a catastrophic computer failure, and no longer have CS5. Is there a way to change the CC 2019 code colors to those of CS5? Is there some kind of one-click preference option, or do I have to import a colors.xml type file? If so, where is that file available for CS5's default code colors?ThanksKind regards

Example of code in the .htaccess file below. Not sure why it is not working. Should those old files be purged from the server, or does it not matter? I did purge one of them during my testing, but did not make a difference. I get the Server Error 404 page. I even tried making the first call of the 'old' URL absolute. No luck! I read this thread and tried the DISM restorehealth command in admin mode of command prompt.New Windows 10 computer. New installation of Creative Cloud Application. Photoshop opens fine. Might be related: I was getting a "MSVCR110.dll is not designed for windows" (oddly it wasn't the "x is missing" error) but I got the 2012 c++ redistributable package and that fixed that part.Now it is immediately closing after it appears to completely launch. You can even hover over the menus and the light up for a split second before it closes. There are no error messages.I have uploaded the log via the "adobe log collector tool" if that helps. 8/7/19Dreamweaver cs6.I do basic web design using Dreamweaver in design mode, for lack of code knowledge. When I highlight a div box in designer mode say < dive#somthing>I have to search in depth down the css rules list to find that rule in order to make changes.Is there a way that when I select the div box in the designer that it will highlight that CSS rule in the list so I don’t have to search down the list every time to find that rule, open it make my changes these lists are very long as you know.Tony

Up to DW 19.0, I was able to keep or fomart my styles to single line properties. That's no longer possible on 19.1 or 19.2. Clicking on formatting now breaks everything into multiple lines.Before, clicking on format would format all styles to this, or keep them if they were already in this form..entry {line-height:1.2; font-size:1.8rem; margin:1rem; color:#000}After the v19.1 update, everytihng breaks into multiple lines and there is no other way around. .entry {line-height:1.2;font-size:1.8rem;margin:1rem;color:#000}A css file with 872 lines is increased to 3392 lines making it more tedious to edit it. It even increase the size of the file to a few extra KBs. Why did Adobe took this route? Am I missing anything?Thanks.

Hello:In addition to the KB Size of my image files, I need to learn how to reveal the width and height of images that appear in the Local Files list, as shown in my screenshot. . .In CS6, I was able to open the assets file and, once I clicked something, the width and height of each image file was displayed. Can I again display those widths and heights values in CC19?Thanks, in advance.Warren

I'm working on a Dreamweaver tutorial which was supposed to deliver a mapped image ready for coding clickable links over various sections of the image.Long story short: The prefab image wasn't there, so I decided to try to grab an image from Wikimedia Commons and set it up for mapping myself. However, I couldn't find the mapping tools in Dreamweaver 2019, and all the tutorials and forum discussions of this topic were old and provided no answers in spite of my clicking on various buttons, menus and whatever, including CSS Designer, where there were no mapping functionsI'm attaching a screenshot of what I have up at the moment. The idea is to insert a clickable area over each of the faces. If anyone can tell me how to open up the mapping tools I would be very grateful!

Can dreamweaver build mobile apps and games? What software is used for that?I think DW is just for websites and web based apps (progressive web apps)...Or do I need to be focusing on javascript, C#, and cloud dev to build mobile apps?
