Just downloaded the latest version, opened my code and I want to remove a paragraph and modify some other things in the code but it's locked. Can't make any changes in the code window. How do I write code...the way I was taught to code back in the dark ages?
I have been having the same issue for quite some time. I purchased a new Dell computer in January 2019 running Windows 10, installed CC 2019, and Dreamweaver silently crashes after completely loading. I can run Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Audition, Premier, Bridge, and Animate just fine on my new system. Something is wrong with Dreamweaver. I have been forced to run Dreamweaver CC 2018 off an old Dell laptop also running Windows 10. Would love a fix for this.

This may help people who encountered the same problem as I did.Installed Dreamweaver 19.2 on a new Windows 10: it crashed as soon as I closed the welcome screen Tried al solutions on divers forums, spent hours and hours, nothing helped.SOLUTION: With Creative Cloud I installed an earlier version (18) alongside the existing one.BINGO! Both versions worked faultlessly!! Next, uninstalled the old version (again with Creative Cloud) and the new version kept on working normally.BEWARE:1. Create a System Restore Point at every step;2. Keep your preferences when uninstalling the old version.

I believe I found a bug in Dreamweaver CC. I get an output error when using some CSS markup for 'grid-template-columns' and 'grid-template-rows'. It says that both lines expect a 'RBRACE', however, I've used this code before in other instances and the error doesn't pop up. Is posting this issue to the forums a way to alert the development team? I'm not much of a gun (at all) at regular expressions.I need to replace everything between two comments with nothing.I am trying to resurrect and clean up some HTML for someone whose site is only now available via the Wayback Machine.So, I have lots (hundreds) of files with:<!-- BEGIN WAYBACK TOOLBAR INSERT -->I want to replace all of this HTML and, of course, the comments themselves<!-- END WAYBACK TOOLBAR INSERT -->I can do search & replaces on most other stuff but each of the comment sections is slightly different.Is this possible? How do you set up search and results within an intranet site built in dreamweaver 2019. so what I want our employees to be able to do is, at any stage of any page, they can zip up to the top nav and hit the search button, opens the Search page and field, type in,,, for example... "Employee Handbook" or "Holidays" and get results relating to this search.
[I know this isn't an SEO forum...but I thought someone here may have some insight]:I know our site has been active long enough for various search engine bots to discover it & log it, so I'm wondering why it's essentially blind on the www? It's a site specific to a local area of narcotics anonymous, so it's really important for people to be able to find it, very quickly, with just a routine web search.Is it a question of keywords (& do we still use that sort of thing in design)? I built my logo in Illustrator ( had to learn it I never worked with Illustrator before).Then SAVED AS SVG.Put the SVG file in my site folder.But when I want to place it on my Dreamweaver page I cannot select it.I am old and self taught so I am sure i missed something.Thanks, chris
I currently use Dreamweaver 2019 on a iMac 27"and have a recommendation but do not know where to request it. I have a vision problem problem and others may have a similar situation.When working on a webpage, the slide bar is very dark ab=nd being visually impaired, this is difficult to see. I've upgrade to High Sierra. Dreamweaver launched initially, but now it fails just before opening fully. The 'adobe 11.0 All update' won't run so I'm stuck! I've updated all the Java but that didn't help either?Any clues?

I know this question may go back a few years, but...I'm currently using the latest version of DW (CC 2019)....I support a lot of Classic ASP pages....and while I know DW doesn't support Classic ASP anymore, my request is just this:When I open a .asp page and start to code, or hit return to go to next line, the spacing acts weird. For instance, if I start changing/adding some code in the middle of an existing line of code - it might "jump" that entire line of code over several tabs....I find myself entering the code, and then SHIFT Tabbing the code back to the left...I've switched the dropdown to VBScript so at least the code color looks better...but I would love to be able to type without it pushing the code to the right all the time....Any thoughts on this?
Just a warning to everyone about the up-comming changes to payments on-line from credit/debit cards in the EU, (starting middle of September).All EU countries will require an extra check to verify the payee when making payments on-line, see -https://stripe.com/gb/guides/strong-customer-authenticationThis new system is not easy to use, and will require extra checks by the card issuers to authorise payments. This is in addition to the current 3 or 4 digits on the card, and the visa/mastercard secure authorisizion, (a personal passwork, that the user inputs 3digits of). The system is not easy if you have more than 1 card, (even then many may not use) as I recieved a type of card reader that I have to 'set up' for 1 card and another requires authorisation codes that will be sent to a chosen device, (sms text, banking app, email).If any of your clients are taking payments on-line, it may be worth informing them of this change. Hey Guys, so here's the details HTML 5 Website, I use Brackets for code - Dreamweaver CC 2019 19.2 for upload. I'm a newbie when it comes to all of this but I've been doing the same maintenance (edits) on this website for a year now with no problems. A couple weeks ago did my usual edits replaced a few pictures and and links on the homepage (index.html) and uploaded through dreamweaver and noticed the pictures didn't change on the homepage - and in my case it's literally a matter off replacing the picture but saving it the same name so therefore it has no choice but to change. Anyways 24 hours later I checked it and it had finally changed....? Fast forward to now... I upload to dreamweaver and nothing changes not text, pictures, code anything. It's like it's uploading it to no where???**I have several back ups of the site that I've uploaded to see if there was something wrong on the current code end (some from months ago and some from a year ago)** STILL NOTHING CHANGES**In Brack

I've used - and loved - Dreamweaver from long before it was taken over by Adobe... about which I will refrain myself from saying anything... and I upgraded to version 2019 but now I'm as irritated as heck.First off, it crashed on opening. Secondly when I did get it working, it takes AGES to load (I worry about all the stuff it's loading in the background). The improvements were thin on the ground, but what i noticed was that everything took longer to do (comparing it to the 2017 version) and I've had it totally freeze and CRASH numerous times when I'm in the middle of working on a simple html file.Few days ago, it froze, then crashed, and when I tried to re-open it, it basically reinstalled itself to all the defaults. It lost my organised workspace, menus, and worst of all, all my own snippets, and I had to search the internet to find how to recover them and reinstall them.Yesterday it decided to freeze again, and nothing would recover it. I had to go CNTL-ALT-DEL and end the program,

Long time Dreamweaver user and have been plagued with a long standing problem that I have just worked around for years by working in code view. I would like to utiltize some of the WYISWIG features, but I struggle with our site structure.We have a large site and have an app server and a web server. The pages of the site are XSL page and exist on one server. The JS, Images, LESS and CSS exist on our web server… So locally, XSL is in Drive “S” and JS/Images/LESS/CSS are on drive “T”. (our team works off a single shared development server that transforms the XSL... so we have a shared testdomain.com that we go to for our team.) My struggle is when setting up the site within Dreamweaver, we get errors because the static files are “outside the site root”. When we preview in our browser, www.domain.com loads the XSL pages and the image references are /js /images and such respectively… but they are on separate local dev server/drives.
