Dreamweaver

Am I the only one experiencing odd behaviour - Chrome v70 Mac.I can only drag the Chrome window to a new position on the screen if I click on the 'active tab'. It used to be that you could click anywhere inside the grey bar at the top and a drag the window to a new position. As far as I can see its stupid because if you happen to drag the tab off-screen you end up with half a browser window open which you cant drag back and have to close Chrome down to get rid of it????I dont use Chrome much so maybe Im doing something wrong? Maybe you can deactivate the tabs and just have the grey bar?Anyone else encountered this?Os

I want to create a Menu bar which is not standard on bootstrap ( Well I can't find it and not sure what to do) I wonder if anyone could give me any advice of how I could go about creating it please?.Menu 2 is open and all the other menu are closed. In Menu 2 there are 3 sub menu to choose from. Mac OSX 10.13.6Dreamweaver CC 2018I have my site active in the Site Manager. When I view my html file in Chrome console, any javascript I type in there comes up as null. Same with Safari.When I drag the file from the folder onto Chrome and run the same javascript, it works.I tried resetting the preferences. No joy.I tried using the menu item "Real Time Preview" as well as the little preview icon in the bottom right corner of the screen and control-click the file tab, but nothing works. It opens, just won't give me a result with a simple javascript string.Any suggestions?

Hi, I use Dreamweaver to create emails for large mailing lists. Up until about 2 weeks ago, everything worked as usual, displayed properly in MS Outlook. Now MS Outlook (and maybe other desktop clients) are converted the html to an attachment, displaying nothing in the body of the email. Totally blank.These same emails look fine on my iPhone and are displaying correctly.Anyone run into this recently? Is it a bug with the new updates?Thanks,Pati

I'm fairly inexperienced here, but I'm having a problem with my latest dropdown menu on every page but my index ( tribalcodes.org ). The index is fine and it will allow me to open the "Tribes" menu, but it's at the bottom of every other page, however I'm unable to make it clickable and it won't allow it to open on any page but the index. Anyone able to see where the problem may lie?

Since installing the DW 2019 update, I can no longer sync changed files with the remote server.DW 2019 will go through the process of looking for changed files, but never presents the subsequent dialog box with a list of files to be uploaded. It just doesn't give you the changed files result and goes away. No files are uploaded. The connection to the server is fine since I can manually upload files with no problem.I have reinstalled the DW 2018 version, and it works as it should. I have uninstalled the 2019 version, reinstalled and it will sync with the server until you shut the system down. After that it will revert to not syncing files. This happens on 4 different systems, some are running the latest win 10 insider updates and others are running the last public release. The problem is not specific to a machine, hardware or software OS version. Have reported this as a bug, but have not received any feedback.

It's a jungle of parallax scrolling tutorials out there, but I can't find the right keywords to narrow it down to what I specifically need, which is : how do I make the contents of a div scroll slightly more slowly than the rest of the page, to give the impression that said contents exist one level below (in a virtual 3D space)?(Not fixed, not sideways, not following the mouse cursor... just a simple "scroll slower" space following the flow of the layout.)If this can only be done with an image (and not "the contents of a div") then can it be a background image? I pretty much gave up on straight <IMG> tags altogether and switched to background references years ago.Thanks!

So I have an Adobe Portfolio website although there is a website creator with it there is a lot more capability when using Dreamweaver CC, although I have not seen a way to use the website you make in Adobe Dreamweaver CC as your portfolio website so I'm wondering if it is even possible.

Let's say I have a rectangular container (for instance, a <div>) filling the width of the screen ("100%") but with a very specific height ("450px").This wrapper contains a block element -- let's say a <span> -- that needs to fill 100% height at all times, while maintaining a very specific aspect ratio for the width (so for the sake of argument, let's say 16:9). I'm having an issue on my site ( tribalcodes.org ). I'm just trying to make the "Tribes" dropdown menu clickable instead of on hover. I cannot find where within the code I need to go to get this done. Is there something small I'm missing? Latest version of Dreamweaver via Creative Cloud.I have bootstrap 4.0 attached via an external CDN file. Dreamweaver code-live view shows the correct formatting. In the tabs I can see the file and view the content. The web-page when uploaded is formatted as expected. However, there are no CSS class hints when I type in the code. Nor are the media query bars showing.When I type in <div class="col- I expect to see class hints like col-1, col-2, col-3......Is it normal that it is not displaying this? What needs to be resolved to fix this?

I'm trying to insert hyperlinks into subpages of my website.  I constantly get a message stating "The file is outside of the root folder of site "unnamed site" and may not be accessible when you publish the site".  I've never seen this before. Are their any ideas as to how to resolve this problem?

The problem is this. If you have a html genereted with Animate CC and that html is the source of an iframe in a container page and you want to communicate with that container page. Calling a function from the iframe to the container is not a problem. If you have a function called communication() you can easely adress it from the Animate CC generated file (I will call that ACCfile) with the statement: parent.communication() . But if I want it the other way around that's my problem. I tried this. The id of the iframe is myFrame1, the function in the ACCflile, the scr of that iframe is listen(). So I have this:document.getElementById('myFrame1').contentWindow.listen();That does not work. I know why it doesn't work, becaus the function is in a sepparate jsfile. If I open the HTML of the ACCfile and write the function in that HTML file and save it, then that function is activated by the function call. How can I acces that function whitch is in the external javascript generated with Animate

When I'm editing in code view and I want to add something, I click my mouse where I want to add something. At this point nothing should be highlighted since I haven't dragged over anything but Dreamweaver highlights the whole line or more. It's really distracting.  I only want things highlighted when I drag my curson over something, not when I insert the cursor into an empty spot to add something.  Is there some easy way to stop this? I'm using CC 2019 but I've had the same problem with earlier versions.Thanks,Liz

Hi all,My files are located on a NAS. When editing a document in Dreamweaver 19 and saving it I receive the message "Access to \\192.168.1.6\folder\MFCABOF.tmp was denied. When I click OK, the original file is not readable anymore.If I use photoshop or another application I am able to edit and to save the files on the NAS.It must be a Dreamweaver issue and has to do with a tmp file.Any suggestions? Thank you!
