This is a dup of DW Freeze ups when project include RxJS module – Adobe Dreamweaver CC: Feature Ideas I'm evaluating DW product to a number of users in my organization.There is show stopper problem where the whole application freezes, becomes unresponsive, for seconds or even minutes at a time with high CPU utilization. I've issolated the problem to using the very popular @reactivex/rxjs library that is used in Angular and many other libraries and frameworks.I've distilled the problem to a 17 line html file and 29 lines of Javascript to load and lighly use the RxJS library.I just downloaded the product, so I highly doubt the issue is based upon any changes I've made to the configuration.The issue has been seen on Adobe Dreamweaver CC version 18.1 10155 build "Standard" mode on Windows 10 Pro, 64 bit. 10.0.15063 Build 15063 System Manufacturer Dell Inc. So this is a bit of an odd one. I have a site which has been http. We recently switched to an https for it. Our hosting service has said there's no way that they can redirect it for us (even though the domains and SSL are also through them). They directed us to insert this code into our site in order to redirect it. <script language="javascript">if (document.location.protocol != "https:"){document.location.href = "https://subdomain.yourdomain.com" + document.location.pathname;};</script>The code works and the site redirects. However, when I enter the code...the page goes a bit wonky in Live View and I get one of two errors (see screen grab). The only way I can go in and make any visual changes is to switch to design mode or remove the script entirely. Any thoughts?

Hello!So I'm working on a project in my Web design Class. I am not super experienced with Dreamweaver yet (more specifically Javascript) but I'm willing to learn and adapt. I want to create this parallax scrolling effect: Campo Santo - Firewatch  and I found a really excellent tutorial that provided the code for me: https://medium.com/@hamstu/recreating-the-firewatch-parallax-effect-213694d42f4e My issue is, I would like to have this effect on more than just the top of my screen, that is, when you scroll down there is another scene below the first one that has the same parallax effect. But I'm not sure how to go about this. I've tried copy-pasting the code and renaming everything, but I cannot seem to lower the image or it remains static. For now, I would just like help to figure out the code, as I plan on using my own images later on. Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

I understand that dreamweaver doesn't help with the code enabling one to swipe from one page to anotherwhen trying to build a mobile web site?   I wonder why this is?vincent

HelloI am using Dreamweaver CS6.I am having problems changing from html to styles view and the html and css buttons in the Properties will not work.Sometimes if the styles code is on display in the code view then I cannot not change to HTML View and vice versaI have looked at  window/workspace/ layout/designer and have reset designer, the Properties boxes select but do not change the view.Anyone has any ideas how I can rectify this please?Many thanksJohn

I've spent a good 45 min trying to locate advanced Find and Replace features. It appears that there should be an option to use a Basic or an Advanced dialogue, but I don't see it in 18.2.

I clicked that too and after that i just see 8 of 20+ and none of that is dreamweaver. This is a re-post, to highlight a problem that is happeningwith Dreamweaver CC 2018.I attach screen grabs of the same page opened in Dreamweaver CC 20117 and Dreamweaver CC 2018.You can see that the Live View displays perfectly fine in CC 2017, yet the same document fails to display and shows the dotted blue lines all over the place with layers not positioned correctly. The HTML page views fine in all web browsers when viewed locally and when viewed live on the web server.This is NOT about the site not being listed or any code errors.Does anyone have any advice? This happens on both my MACs. This is making it impossible to work on and leaves me with no option but to stick with CC 2017.I am happy to supply the files if anyone wants to test. This has caused me hours of trying to resolve it. And to then realise its CC 2018 really grates!CC 2017CC 2018

I have the latest version of Dreamweaver CC 2018 running on Win 10 Pro.I am having a lot of trouble defining a local site with a testing server. I am using Wamp64 and my file structure as far as how I click through using my computer is this: C:/wamp64/www/seanvzwebguy/a3  My a3 is where my assets folder is and two php files index.php and results.php are that I want to be using that folder 'a3' folder where the two php files are.This is how I pull the site up with wamp64 running: http://localhost/seanvzwebguy/a3/index.php What do I choose for my local site folder given the above?Where should I choose for my server folder?Do I use the above local server address for the site definition or another one? If so, what should I type in for the web URL?I am connecting using: Local/NetworkMy server model: PHP/MySQL

Hi guys, I use Dreamweaver CC, and would like to know the best protocol for when completely replacing all the files of an existing website (including new CSS, etc) with a set of brand new files (ie. a brand new site) - but most importantly, without losing any of the new CSS formatting during the process of moving them from the Test folder to the main local site view, ready to upload.  My new site is currently residing in a Test folder on the old existing site, so needless to say I need to replace the existing local files with the new files, before uploading them to the remote site.   But in the past I have tried various methods of doing this - and sometimes have lost all my CSS formatting during the process (such as by opening the Windows 'folder' view of the Test files (ie. outside of Dreamweaver) and copying the files to the folder where the main local site is located.   The only foolproof method I have found (for my main content files - but which takes forev

Although I have used newer versions of Dreamweaver that are subscription based, I have canceled that service and for a long established client, used the software I had long ago created the site with. That was Dreamweaver MX 2004. I have never had any issues UNTIL roughly two weeks ago. I can no longer upload files to the server. I checked with the hosting company and there were no changes made on their side. I tested it for my own site which is hosted elsewhere and I am running into the same error message. Do you think something corrupted in my Dreamweaver software and I have to reinstall it? Or do you think somehow it interfaces with something that would have been on the Macromedia site (even though to my knowledge this all ran off my computer)? Or do I need to bite the bullet and "rent" the subscription service for Dreamweaver Cloud version? I was trying to avoid passing this cost onto the client or having this monthly expense myself. I'm using 2018 CC trial and did one round of change sitewide links, and it went real nice, and then I did 5 more rounds,with different links,  and it seemed it was going good, but some of the rounds CC did it's thing but the links did not change. Man, that is a  hairy tool! Not always reliable. Not sure how many here use it a bit...

HiI'm wondering anyone else is experiencing lag times while editing in split or code only mode in the latest version of DW CC. Each typed or pasted code update I make locks up the code area for between 18 - 20 sec before appearing.I've updated drivers, spoken to Dell support and made changes but it's made no difference.I'm tearing my hair out and just wondering if there's something I have missed in permissions, security.. anything! I have an existing Dreamweaver-built site that I am making responsive. It has about 3000 tables in it (data management, not layout), so I really want to find a global solution to making them responsive, I don't want to change the code in each one individually. At this point I have converted it to a bootstrap site, and everything but the tables seems to mostly work. Now, on narrowing the screen, the tables go to a single column; each row's data is still there, but they are stacked. Hello, I designed a website 12 years ago (with the help of this community) but it is static and dated.  I need to update it so that it is responsive.  I'm looking for suggestions for templates - I'm not comfortable taking on the changes in technology since I built the site.  I know a fare amount of html but very little css - enough to do some basics and have no idea how to manage java script.  However, I'm a quick study and usually can figure things out through trial and error with a little help.My site is personal, heavy photo usage, I'm converting audio files from flash to html5, will have videos.  The old site used Lightbox very heavily.  I also had spry assets that I know are dated.  The new site needs to be searchable.So the big question...where should I start looking for templates that accommodate all of my needs?  Is there any one template that will be able to help me in all areas?  Or will I need to purchase a variety of templates?&n

Hey, I'm a student in High School. I am creating a website for a company, and I like the font on the template, but It just doesn't fit the company. I have been trying to change it using a google font. I cannot get the navigation text to change, all I can change is the button text on the homepage. Whenever I go into the CSS rule for the Navigation text and change the font-family: it changes the text to the default serif font. Does anyone know why this is happening??
