I am having an issue in Chrome that I can't seem to figure out. My <section>Maincontent floats correctly in IE but is shoved down below my sidebar in Chrome. This site is build with Dreamweaver CS4 and looked fine before in all browsers. I assume there is something wrong with the float-element.Any help would be appreciated. Hi Folks - I've been upgraded to version 18.2, and was previously familiar with CS 5 and 6. Somewhere along the way, the ability to use the history panel to create macro-like functions has disappeared. I've searched high and low (including RTFM) and nothing I've found has helped. Alternatively, using save in search&replace could work for me, but despite doing the registry change to insert a new string to open hidden options, that isn't working either.Can anyone help?Thanks for your time,Larry

when opening large files it hangs, sometimes for ever, sometimes it opens eventually, mostly always i need to FORCE QUIT due to application not respondingcould it be a memory issue on my machine? the spinning ball thing comes up sometimes, i have deleted all unnecessary files and folders and try not to open any other programs when working in DWhave used Recreate Site Cache to try to help, also Open New File helps and making sure the local site files folder is in orderbut still, on my largest site with the most files and some very large ones, IT JUST FREEZES UP! however, when it does open eventually, i then close the file and it reopens again instantly, so its kind of like it found it and now it knows how to open it, but after restarting DW it loses it again!would appreciate any tips!DW 2018.2mac osx high sierraMacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013)2 GHz Intel Core i78 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Been a nuisance for a while now. Image URL updates within field box don't often take. The alt text field box can't be edited often unless you click a bit outside in another command. Edit image settings icon often crashes DW.It's a poorly designed area, anyway. Still hard to enter long URLs in a field box that holds so few characters.
Hi,I am drafting up a new webpage and have inserted a form from MachForm. These forms have worked for me before without any problems on other websites created in both Frontpage and Dreamweaver however on this particular site when I insert the form then view in browser only half the form displays as if the cell is not opening up completely.The form is contained within a table/cell. I have increased the height of the cell to accommodate the form (but have never had to do that previously for it to display correctly) but that does not seem to work either. If I click into any of the fields of the form that are displaying then tab through the fields the form then will displays completely.I have viewed the page in IE, Safari, Firefox and MS Edge all to the same affect. As a graphic artist, I am seriously thinking about creating a website, to showcase my Adobe artwork.When it comes to choosing the best host for a site, do other artists who already have their own, typically have it as a Shared Web configuration or a Virtual Private Server? If it's a VPS, what is the most common memory & storage amount 2GB, 4GB or 8GB?Any advice is greatly appreciated.Sand Patch
Best Adobe Community,I've currently created webpages by simply including the Bootstrap framework as a new HTML document is created in Dreamweaver.The other more traditional way is simply by visiting the Bootstrap website and downloading the Bootstrap files manually.Now I've had the interest in customizing the download and reducing the Bootstrap files. DWCC18 will not allow me to make <title></title> an editable region. It insists on putting BeginEditable statement in the line below the <body> tag, as show here:...<body><!-- TemplateBeginEditable name="Page Title" -->Page Title<!-- TemplateEndEditable -->...Any suggestions?Thanks
First, I'm an editor, not a developer/programmer, so please answer in very simple terms usable by the ignorant.Windows 7 updated last night, unasked for and unwanted per usual, but this time it did sometimg to Dreamweaver.The "put" operation (accessed via "Site" dropdown) no longer is accessible (it shows gray rather than black).The right-side menu that once showed all files (pages, art etc.) now says "Local Disk" and will access file on this computer, but no longer has the buttons for refresh, connection, put and whatever the others were.Phone support says they can do nothing for CS5.5 (funny, Adobe's still happy to take that monthly subscription payment).This is a desperate situation. It's a business website sitting there without its update.

I'm building a site with Dreamweaver I decided to use Adobe Edge Animate for animations. I have a number of customers who are B2B distributors to contractors. They generally rep or at least supply products from many different manufacturers. Just as google provides an iFrame embed to see their maps, I put an iFrame to embed the manufacturers websites which carry the latest specifications, etc. Anyway, whereas Google's iFrame embed still works, my manufacturer embeds all quit working. Hi,I'm using Dreamweaver 18.2, build 10165, on Mac OS 10.13.5I need to change the size of the type in the Local Files Panel, and I would like to add a column to that panel, next to the Date Modified column that shows the creation date of all my files. Hi,I am designing a site. My hosting provider offers me already three databases MySQL. At the same time, I have the MAMP installed on my local computer (Mac OS). So, technically I have 2 applications My SQL (one local and one remote). I want to synchronize at least one table of the database: the one of the web contact form results. Is posible? How can I do it properly?I guess I should work with the remote one because that will store (record) all the visitor submissions who fill up the webform. Then, how can I retrieve all this data to my local computer on daily or hourly basis. So, every hour at least I can track if somebody filled up the web form and submitted. Should I also build "the same" table on my local database with the "same fields" so the synchronization can be done? I feel that this sounds weird. It's my first time working with database.Suggestions, tips, please.
Hi all,With dreamweaver CC v18I am having trouble when I click (in code window) - inside a span tag - such as inside the class tag.... when I do, then the whole span tag gets highlighted and I can not see the cursor as I move the arrows left / right to see where I am so I can edit properly.Q: Is there a setting somewhere to make it easier to see the cursor and maybe get the highlighting to be easier to use (or vanish)?<span class="print_16 box"> this is a test</span>
I am working on an HTML page using JavaScript CSS etc..After saving various edits, then I go to the browser and do a refresh to see the changes.Sometimes I do not see the changes reflected in the browser.I am not sure if the page really refreshed / reloaded properly. I have tried various things to try to insure that the page is properly refreshed like- location.reload(true); // this gets from server- refresh the browser manually- empty browser cache... but am am just not sure it always works as expected.Is there a best way to make sure the page is fully reloaded from the server?Is there some browser setting to fully disable cache?[Moved to Dreamweaver forum for better exposure - Moderator]
I created an HTML email from a template and the image looks wonky in the mobile version. It extends outside the email margin. Any thoughts to address the issue?
Using DW CS5.5 with PHP file extensions and no testing server with no server side code in the pages. As the title shows when I go to preview in any browser only the code is displayed.

Hi,I use Dreamweaver to make my websites. I have a speed problem with this software.I use the last MacBook Pro, so the hardware is fast, and I use the files only in code view. My work is editing differten files opened in the same moment (2-5 files, not more). Each time I change file opend (activating it with the sheets on the top) I have to wait few seconds to can operate in. I make a lot of copy and past and other operations and I have to wait so mutch time, it's a very waist of time.Why and how I can delate this lag?Thanks, and sorry for my English, I hope it's clarity enouth.
Hi,I'm using DW 2018.2 10165. When compiling .scss files to .css all the blank lines are removed. Ive tried all 4 'Output file styles' but they all remove any blank lines originally in the .scss file.Any ideas?Thanks, Nic.
Hi all, I can't believe I can't find what I am looking for, so it would seem I am not using the correct search terms because I don't actually know what it's called! I'm hoping somebody can point me in the right direction.I want a select menu with options that will be database driven... easy enough... but when the option is changed, I want it to update a price elsewhere on the page.The options in the select menu will be text only pertaining to rental periods. E.g.:1 year2 years3 yearsAnd depending upon which is selected the price elsewhere changes to reflect that it's cheaper per month over three years than it is for one year. Does that make sense?So, what should I be looking for? Have you got any links that or tuts that I could learn from? I assume it's jQuery based, but I looked at WC3 jQuery section and didn't find anything that related to what I am trying to achieve, yet this kind of thing is so common place! I've googled but am getting nothing. Thanks in advance.
Hi ThereRecently I've been having something really weird happen to my bootstrap-4.0.0.css file in DW 2018.When I create a bootstrap site through File > new. All the CSS and JavaScript files are automatically generated for my root site. All Good!I then made a duplicate copy with my initials on it since the original file is locked called for example. bootstrap-4.0.0_hh.css I then relink it to those pages on l site so that I can see the changes to the pages. At the same time the original bootstrap-4.0.0.css file is still in the same CSS folder with this CSS file.However when I go to create a new bootstrap component (Tabs, Accordion, Carousel) in a blank HTML 5 page (no bootstrap ) to make edits. Dependant files are added and everything seems OK. Until after I save the HTML page, then the bootstrap-4.0.0.css disappears from my CSS folder. Only the bootstrap-4.0.0_hh.css remains. The JavaScript files are not effected and remain in the JS folder. No other files are disap
