Dreamweaver

Greetings,My new install of Dreamweaver in my new Win10 install crashes every time after these two messages.  Does anybody have any knowledge concerning these errors and what to do ?Please tell me it is because win10 is no good, so I can go invest in Apple and say goodbye to Windows (just kidding).Thanks for any helpThanks for any help

Hallo zusammen,auf folgender Seite Aktivierungs- oder Verbindungsfehler, wenn CS3 oder Acrobat 8 gestartet werden erhält man eine Anleitung, wie man den Dreamweaver CS3 trotzdem zum Laufen bekommt.Man kann eine spezielle Installation und eine neue Serial.Soweit so gut.Dreamweaver CS3 deinstalliert, Rechner neu gestartet. Die neue Version installiert.Nach der Installation will er gleich wieder Aktivieren. Wenn ich auf "telefonische Aktivierung"klicke, sehe ich, dass immer noch meine alte Serial hinterlegt ist.Ich sehe keine Möglichkeit, diese zu ändern. Kann mir bitte jemand helfen?OS ist Win10Freundliche Grüßealex

Hello Team, I was really surprised after re-installing Dreamweaver and Creative Cloud. I just assumed all my settings and sites would be there. After all I log into Creative Cloud every day to start Dreamweaver.To my surprise, I must set everything up again including colors and font.  Not to mention, the IIS test sites which are a pain.I’m going out of town in while and was planning on using my Dreamweaver subscription to work; accessing sites in the cloud and using Dreamweaver on a rented computer to work.  I’m thinking; this is not going to work after what I have just experienced; re-installing Dreamweaver to my Desktop after a Win10 replacement.Do I need a better subscription ?Please share your most appreciated wisdom….thanks for any help  ..james

We recently moved to Media3.net servers.  We use WebDAV to connect to the Media3 server. I have several users with different versions of Dreamweaver.  I have no problem connecting and working with CS5.5 and CS6 but Dreamweaver CS4 is getting an error.  In all versions, using the same set of credentials and all settings the same, using the TEST BUTTON, I get "Dreamweaver connected to your Web server successfully".  However in CS4, after the successful test, when I actually connect to the site and attempt to display the remote folders/files, I get "Cannot display the remote folder:  Access denied.  The file may not exist, or there could be a permission problem.  ...etc."Using same settings, same credentials, same server - only difference is version of Dreamweaver.  Ideas?Thanks.

Hi Guys Just looking for some help I had been happily using Adobe Muse until they announced that it will be discontinued So I thought now is the time to get in to code. I have found Bootstrap really useful as a bridge between Muse and DW. My question is, is there a way to add more pre-styled bootstrap components to the components panel in Dreamweaver? for example I have also been using Bootstrap Studio which has pre-styled footer's, parallax scrolling images, and numerous nav bars.I really want to keep using DW as I love the way it works but if i can add the extra components it would be amazing.Thanks in advance

Hi there, In this question, I am seeking your opinions on whether or not I should use CSS Grid layout.Reading about CSS Grid layout immediately smacked me with memories of the awful tabular layouts of 90s websites.  It seems; admittedly at first glance, that this is just an updated type of table layout.  Instead of actually laying out the table in source - this 'grid' layout is just a table defined in CSS.I will admit that I have not really explored the intricacies of a CSS Grid layout in detail and my conclusion is based solely on a cursory glance.Have any of you used this?No doubt some of you have, so could those of you who have please give me your opinions about whether I should be using a CSS Grid layout or not and if so, when it would be appropriate and not appropriate to do so.To be clear about what I am actually referring to - here is an example:CSS-Grid-layout - Pastebin.com CheersJay

It is a real estate investing site.I am very happy with it, but it is not entirely functional:It has a lot of cool front end features that are not functional, including:User Accounts Registration and Login. There are user login details on the top bar of each page. Ideally, I'd like people to be able to add properties into there account to follow and track the property deals we complete together. If they buy a house from me, I'd like this house to go into their 'portfolio'. Would something like this work, is there another way? Blog (Information) section has a keyword tag entry that I'd like to set up to be functional, in addition to set up user comments (I plan to use the facebook plug)How do I set up the List and Add Properties functions by users so they can submit there own property (that is really cool). User submitted content.I asked the template designer who made the site but he can't help with this 'back-end'

Without rhyme or reason, Dreamweaver all of a sudden will not allow me to edit local css files. I have tried all present solutions to no avail. I have tried deleting the cache.I have mirrored the remote folder with the local one to see if that will help, but no!Upon clicking on the html doc. I am working on, Dreamweaver will even change the name of the stylesheet to a former stylesheet title, even though it has been deleted and replaced both in the remote and local folders.The <head> looks like this:-<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /><meta name="viewport" content="initial-scale=1, maximum-scale=1 user-scalable=no" /><script type="text/javascript" src="java/FWDSISC.js"></script><link href="css/global.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">Any help in the matter will be deeply, deeply appreciated.

My version of Dreamweaver is constantly crashing, started happening after I recently upgraded my laptop to Windows 10 Enterprise (10.0.15063 Build 15063).Has anyone else experience the same issues, and happen to have a resolution. I can't go 10 minutes without it crashing out.dreamweaver.dmp file for info.

This might be the most naive question this month, but here goes.  Some 12 years ago, a webmaster built my website using Dreamweaver.  It sells things.  For inventory, descriptions, and so on, I can log in and do all that by myself.  But the structure of the site is "fixed" and I do not know how to edit the mistakes:  that webmaster has disappeared, and I can't find anyone else.  After I log in, and right click to "inspect source" or "View Element,"  I can see what looks like coding, but no amount of highlighting or clicking delete--or anything else I can see--lets me edit some of the mistakes.   Even I use FileZilla to back up the site from time to time, but can't figure out how to get into the codes while logged into that, either.Can anyone please suggest a way I can actually get into the heart of the coding and make some simple changes?   Many thanks ...

Hi,I have a brand new computer. I have only installed Dreamweaver and a few other Adobe products, I have not installed any Ruby by myself or anything.In my Dreamweaver site, I am using SCSS. Hi,I'm new to the cPanel interface, Im not sure if I'm doing something wrong in there or what..When I preview my site in a browser from Dreamweaver, everything looks fine, but, then when I upload the site to cPanel and view the site online, everything looks messed up.. the css is not functioning right and the html is missing most of its parts.. what am I doing wrong..?Can anybody save me from myself..!? Hi all, I am trying to alter the layout of the bootstrap 4 navbar so they look something like the screens shots provided.On desktop:On a small screen:Basically, I want to add in the logo, search box, phone number and cart button above the navigation and then have some of it hide when on a small screen, which is fine when it collapses, but I can't get the thing to sit in two lines on a big screen no matter what I do. It looks like this:Ignore the design for now, it's the positioning I'm struggling with, but as you can see, the div on the left with the navbar-brand and the search sits to the left of the collapsible contant rather than on top. I've tried style="clear: both; float: none;" within the div, but it's being overridden somehow.Can anybody advise how I might go about this please?If you know of any, could you post a link to tutorials that explain a bit more about this, or could you suggest what I might search for as I have searched for tutorials but have only ever found basic ones

Hi,I know that it could sound silly...The current version of bootstrap now is 4.1.1, and Dreamweaver got the v. 4.0; I think that in two or three weeks awkfully, DW will update the bootstrap plug in to 4.1.1 or whatever, but by the mean time, I face two options:1. Just work with DW and the v. 4.0 of bootstrap.2. Work with a code editor (Brackets) and the updated bootstrap v. 4.1.1 and forget DW again.I don't know if the 4.1.1 has new classes or features that will make me RE-DESIGN whatever I worked in v. 4.0 within the DW. For me is almost same when before I was in the situation of "working with the alfa version v.4 out of DW" or "just work with DW and the v.3.7". At that time your suggestions were to work out of DW because all updatings and development are focusing on the version 4.Another thing is the PHP version. My hosting plan supports PHP 5.3.3 but the minimum offered by DW is 5.6; is there a lot of difference and problems? What is your experience? What do you suggest me? Thanks

Hard drive failure required that I reinstall Dreamweaver to a new drive from the original, licensed with serial numbered disk.Running OS X High Sierra 10.13.4 on an iMac. Have been unable to open Dreamweaver since the reinstall. Always receive the error message shown.Subsequently have attempted multiple attempts to fix including booting in Safe mode, running Disk Warrior, Disk Utility, creating and attempting to open in new account, and finally reinstalling the OS. Also reinstalled legacy Java Runtime in response to an error message.No luck.Still get the same error message.Anyone have any suggestions?

Just started DW CC ver 18.1 after using the older, non subscription versions and am finding I have a learning curve to overcome.When trying to edit text in the Live mode - e.g., changing the word from paper to stock in the screen shot example -  I am unable to simple change the spelling without highlighting the word and moving to the Code mode.  Instead, I receive a block with only two formatting options.  Is there a setting that would allow me to revert to the non-CC DW versions allowed?Thanks.Frustrated CC newbie

I'm am working on my first website for a client and have a nivo slider slideshow on the home page.The problem is the slideshow works but every now and then a random image in the slideshow will jump down showing the image behind it and when the transition continues after 4 seconds the image will jump back up to the proper position and the slideshow will continue it's cycle and on every restart the same problem continues with one of the images.I just need to know how to keep my images from jumping.Here is a screenshot of what it looks like.

Hi,I saw that this is asked a lot but I couldn’t find the right answer to this. I want to work with Dreamweaver CC for the live preview.BUT it’s so damn small on one screen, so my wish is to split the preview window from my code window and put it on my second screen.Is this somehow possible? For example: Code on one screen, live preview on the other one.I really need this. If there is already a working solution, please link me to the thread. My employer recently upgraded from Dreamweaver CS6 to Dreamweaver CC, and one of the first things I noticed was that pressing Ctrl+F opens an ineffective Find bar at the bottom of the screen, rather than the more robust old Find window, which has been reassigned to Ctrl+Shift+F.So I went into the keyboard shortcuts menu and set Ctrl+F to open the old Find window, removing the bottom bar's shortcut entirely. It didn't work. Even though the Find tab at the top of the screen shows my new shortcut in its dropdown list, pressing Ctrl+F still opens the bottom bar. I have to press it a second time to open the intended window.Even after deleting all of the default keyboard shortcut sets and restarting the program, my change hasn't taken effect. Any ideas?
