Double alert from one alert()

Too many copies of website?

What in the world could I have done? I went to save and export a copy of my website as I'd made several changes and when I went to view manage site, what did I find? Several copies of my "my website" and one at the bottom that even had my name on it and don't use. How do I know which, if any, to delete? (How did I ever get my name as a copy of the website when it was named "my website"?)Thanks for any thoughts.

Column Height (or div height)...oy vey

[Was asked not to bunch multiple questions together in a post...so I've split this one off, from my previous post]:So...the bootstrap grid system...what good is it if one cannot define the height of a column?  I've been reading as much as I can on this topic; & all I can seem to get is: .col-sm-4 this; and .col-md-8 that; and .col-lg-10 the other thing...very confusing to me...sorry.On my website:Burlington County Area of NA / Home page...the block that reads 'DRUG PROBLEM...'...it's too HIGH...!!!  I need to have the size of the text remain the same (& stay centered), but have the height of that area (not knowing if it's the column height or div height I'm talking about)...be more narrow...not as tall.If someone can point me to an UNDERSTANDABLE yet DETAILED informational on this topic...(including the relationship to the containers the columns reside in)...my work on this site will be concluded.thanx; & sorry to keep bothering the folks here...you've all been ex

Fixed Background Scrolls on Dreamweaver

I'm working on a site and I want a fixed background-attachment. It seems to work fine when I run it off of the server, but for some reason when I am running it off Dreamweaver's Real Time Preview in Chrome, the background scrolls opposite of the web page. This is an odd quirk that I've only seen in Dreamweaver, but it works fine on all other browsers when it is run off the server. Thoughts?Code is appropriate: body{ background: url("backgrounds/tree_lined2.jpg") fixed; }HTML just shows <body class="container">I also tried separating and explicitly defining background-image and background-attachment and it still didn't make a difference.

Dreamweaver legt auf dem Netzlaufwerk eine MFC5717.tmp

Hello,I have a problem with Dreamweaver and although I want to save a html file to my network drive, DW creates an MFC5717.tmp file and after quitting the document the HTML file disappears. But only on this drive does it happen and not if I edit and save it on a different network drive. Can someone help me maybe.thanks

Dreamweaver Erased my files

Essentially the statement above. I was working on a website in Dreamweaver for a client (one of the few times I even bother with dreamweaver) and everything was going well  and I was working in my CSS document until dreamweaver froze for a second, and then everything was gone. My entire stylesheet, 6 hours of work, gone. So I closed the program and restarted it and it was still gone. Suffice it to say I am absolutely livid at the moment and I would like to know if there is a way to restore a file erased by dreamweaver? Otherwise is there a way to get a refund for this useless excuse for a program?

Real Time Preview (RTP) not functioning at all

As an example, I view my page in Live View and do File/Real time preview  The Chrome browser opens at http://127.0.0.1:58135/preview/app/index.html   as expected.  If I then double-click an element in my Live view page to bring up the edit box I should be able to change some text and see it reflected in the RTP.  I only see the change  reflected in the Chrome window if i both save my change and do a Reload of the page in the Chrome windowall the pages in my site are .php files as I use includes to bring in blocks of standard code.  Do pages have to be .html or .htm for this feature to work? I am using DW CC 2017.1 build 9583thanks in anticipation

Disabling The Auto Bracket Closing In Dreamweaver 2017

Hey, I've been using the new DW 2017 for a few weeks and the auto bracket closing is driving me up a wall. (As well as auto quote closing).  I haven't been able to find a setting to turn it off though? I have code hinting and auto completion disabled but brackets still auto close on me. Its frustrating me to a level that I'm considering ditching DW over this. Any help would be swell. thanks!

Help with a VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) website.

I am trying to edit this HTML template but not having any luck as I said I  don't know what I'm doing, but I know enough to get in trouble. Want to see if somebody could help check the code. I'm trying to change the underlined areas.I’m trying to put the bottom code into the top code so we could change the hours and days opened of the post had pretty good luck changing things so far but I can get this done. Were being hosted with Go Daddy cPanel. Building new website advice

Hello all, I currently use serif webplus to build and I page to host my e commerce website. I have found this software limiting and seem to get a lot of downtime so I am looking to build a new site. My question is for a an ecommerce site for someone who has experience in web building but isn't a pro. Would you advice using dreamweaver or muse. Iv looked at the reviews and have seen mixed opinions. Im after a site that is mobile responsive, smart and smooth to run and easily editable. I don't mind putting the time in if the results are worth it. And I find seo to be the biggest issue.Iv also seen muse can be hosted through adobe? can dreamweaver? if not who would you suggest to host the site.Many thanks for any tips

PHP mail form help

I've cobbled together some php code to get a contact form together. Everything works but one thing. I'm trying to make the fields required and I must have missed a step. Right now the form just goes through even if you haven't filled anything out. Can anyone help? Temporary IP for Web URL in FTP Settings

Using Siteground for hosting.I have setup numerous sites there using the domain in the Web URL for FTP settings with no issue.If I use the temporary IP assigned from SIteground I cannot connect via FTP. I try the domain name (which has not ransferred yet) and of course that doesn't work.So how does one get the FTP in Dreamweaver to work with a temporary IP as the WebURL?Thanks.

DW 18.1 shows transparent gif background as black on Windows

Inserting a GIF image with transparent background, DW renders its background as black. It shows correctly when previewing in Chrome and IE. And on macOS, DW 18.1 renders it correctly as well. Please refer to the attachments for the screen-shot. Is this a bug of DW on Windows?Thanks,Aidy

Flywheel and the IDD_SSH_KEY_CHANGE_DIALOG

Hi all,I'm getting the error constantly: Failed to read the contents of xml resource IDD_SSH_KEY_CHANGE_DIALOGI've deleted the ssh_hosts file in the config folder of Dreamweaver. A lot. Nearly 5x/day. I'm using Flywheel; they can't figure it out. They are managed WordPress hosting company, so all of my login info is the same aside from folder location. They use SFTP to connect. Thoughts? Anyone? A pain!

Dreamweaver SFTP Fail

Security on our servers was recently tightened and old, out-of-date encryption methods are no longer accepted. Unfortunately, these are the only ones Dreamweaver on my Win7 desktop seems to know for establishing an SFTP connection. On the Dreamweaver side, it just says it can't make a connection. On the server side in the error logs, I see this:sshd[1770]: fatal: no matching mac found: client hmac-md5,hmac-sha1,hmac-ripemd160,hmac-ripemd160@openssh.com,hmac-sha1-96,hmac-md5-96 server hmac-sha2-256,hmac-sha2-512 [preauth]Note that Dreamweaver was connecting to the servers just fine before we had to get rid of the old encryption methods, so I know all of the other settings are fine.More details: I've got WinSCP on the same desktop machine which works just fine as does Putty. That means both of these have access to the updated encryption methods.How can I get Dreamweaver to use the right one(s)?

SFTP connection fails that used to work: "login or password is incorrect"

My version of Dreamweaver CC (version 17.5?) running on a macbook (OSX 10.13) suddenly became unable to connect using SFTP to my standard server.  The error message is:An FTP error occurred -- cannot make connection to host.  Your login or password is incorrect.  Please check your connection information.It worked on Friday and stopped working on Saturday. Searching for help on the web and Dreamweaver community support site, it seems like many have had this problem over the past few years.I've confirmed/tested/tried many things:I reviewed suggestions of the Dreamweaver community support siteI confirmed that my username and password are correctI am able to sftp to the server via the command line and via filezillaI am able to use SFTP in Dreamweaver to another serverI updated Dreamweaver to version 18.0I tried temporarily removing ~/.sshI tried removing my Dreamweaver cache fileI tried server config using both username+password and private key fileI will ask our sysadmins i

Zipped project files [was: Help]

[Topic edited for clarity by moderator.]When I zip my files into a folder, they do not work because the CSS style of my website is lost. My website and all the other files that go with it only work on my flash drive. They do not work when I just open the files from a zip Compressed folder.
