Im trying to find a solution.  Is this even used anymore?What would be my options in cc 2017.I have clients that want a fail safe control over putting files into production versus files in dev.Thanks for any help.

Adobe added the option of 'Move Line Up' and 'Move Line Down' in Brackets but I didn't find these options in Dreamweaver. Could anyone please inform me how to move a line/tag/element up and down without cutting and pasting?

Hello, So here's the problem I am currently having, i'm going to explain it quick and provide the link below aswell.  So on this site i have a fixed header height for desktop version at 130 px, and then for mobile it goes down to a fixed height of 75 px I believe.  Now the problem i am running into is that when i go to the mobile version and try to click a hyperlink towards the top of the screen the hyperlinks aren't clickable.  Now i have figured out that the height of the desktop version header is basically acting like it's on the mobile version aswell making this happen.  anything in the top 130px of the mobile version is unclickable even though the header is now a fixed height of only 75px.  The link to the site is heihihello.co for you guys to checkout!  Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

I recently decided to move all my websites to an AFP mounted share on a local server (actually, a Western Digital MyCloud).  But since I did that a couple days ago, I'm unable to compile any LESS files.  I can open them and edit them, but when I save them (which is when Dreamweaver usually compiles them and saves them), I get the following error:If I move the website files to a local hard drive or a hard drive directly connected to the computer, the files compile fine, but they fail to compile when the website files reside on a mounted shared volume (using AFP or SMB, it doesn't matter).  I'm experiencing this error on a Mac.Is there a workaround or fix for this?Bernardo

I have a machine that is controlled by IT, and allows DW install/updates.  It currently does not have GIT installed.  When I upgrade to 2017.5 will DW 2017.5 install GIT?  Trying to get GIT installed has been an issue, but it will solve everything if upgrading to 2017.5 installs GIT as part of the update.

I opened Dreamweaver to edit several web pages (I own 10 websites thatalways need updated content). I received notification to update the app. Iinitiated the update but at 100% upload it gave a failure message. Theerror message for the failure said to rename file. I was not sure what thatmeant so I thought I would just open the app and continue my work.Apparently, the update installation removed the shortcut from my taskbar.So, I went to my computer's settings and saw that Dreamweaver was stilllisted. This really confused me. I performed an uninstall because Ithought I needed to uninstall the app from my computer. Also, I used AdobeCC Cleaner to make sure it was completely removed. I figured that I couldthen perform a fresh install. Then, I started the installation. At about25%, the installation stopped and a P50 error message popped up. So, now Ino longer have the Dreamweaver app on my computer. What should I do? Steve

Hy, I am very new with Webdesign and so I am with DW ... I am trying to find a solution for a current problem I have right now. Sure it's probably just a simple thing, but somehow the answer doesn't come to my mind.The thing is, i got a fixed Navigation Sidebar on the left. You are able to scroll inside the navigation if there isto much content inside. And you are able to scrole the main content, without affecting the navigation. I also made a fixed top nav (just to play i a little bit arround).But here is the thing. Trying to sync settings between CC2015 and CC2017.In 2015, Preferences, Sync Settings, clicking "Sync Settings Now" returns the error, "Sync completed, but with errors."I've tried logging out/in with no change.If I can't solve this, is there a workaround to move my snippets manually from 2015 to 2017?

Using Dreamweaver CC2017's "Insert" > "Image" results in an image tag code that includes a forward slash in front of the closing angle bracket. I'm working in html5 and don't wish to have the forward slash.EXAMPLE:DW generated code: <img src="photo.jpg" width="200" height="200" alt=""/>Desired code: <img src="photo.jpg" width="200" height="200" alt="">Is there a preference I can change so Dreamweaver won't include the forward slash?

Hi, I installed Dreamweaver on my mac a couple of days ago and when I go in code, I can't see any of the code, it is just blank.   Can anybody tell me why this is happening or how do I fix it. Any help will be greatly appreciated.  

I have been using MX 2004 blissfully for several years but this week it has opened and been immediately overlain by a Dreamweaver MX 2004 Security Warning saying that the named file (swflash.cab) does not have a valid digital signature. I bought Dreamweaver CC3 some years ago and assumed it was therefore my property. Now I'm being given a few days left to use the program. Why?  I have provided several Reference numbers to activate - to prove it is mine, but still I'm being told it will not work in a few days time. I'm also told that if I am connected to the Internet, activation is automatic.What do I do to continue using my purchased copy of Dreamweaver. This situation seems very unfair and possibly illegal.

Hallo,ich beschäftige mich gerade neu mit HTML 5 und Dreamweaver CC.Wenn ich ein Bild in eine Tabelle einfüge, habe ich trotz Zuweisungen von Höhe, Breite und Positionierung des Bildes, unter dem Bild immer einen Rand in der Farbe des Hintergrundes. Ränder sind auch nicht angelegt. Wie bekomme ich das hin, dass das Bild ohne Rand zur unteren Tabellenzelle abschließt?Gruß und vorab schon mal danke für eine Antwort.Micha

I put the span tag on fine, but for some reason when I put the class "logowhite" the .logowhite selector does not show up in CSS Designer anywhere...

     If I create a database on MySQL using DW, will I need to continue paying for DW to keep the database alive? So when my subscription to DW dies, will the database?     Likewise, if I create a database, will the next person have to use DW to edit the database? Will they have to use my DW account to edit the database?

I noticed that I'm getting an error when I try to add a Bootstrap component and found out it was a conflict between another bootstrap.css that's from the Smartmenu Navbar.  I need this for the mobile navigation menu.When I remove the Smartmenu stylesheet I no longer get the error message:"The component is not fully compatible with the current Bootstrap CSS/JS File (lower than 3.0) A new Bootsrap CSS/JS File will be created and linked from the document."Since both are linked via CDN, what's the best way to resolve this, should I find the differences between the 2 CSS files and add those to my custom CSS stylesheet then remove the Smartmenu CSS?Brandon

Hallo,mein hoster hat auf php-version 5.5 und höher umgestellt. die versionen 5.2, 5.3, und 5.4 werden nicht mehr unterstützt.Bei datenbankabfragen mit cs4 (meine Version) werden zwar die Abfrageparameter unterstütz und auch in der URL angezeigt.Allerdings werden die zu wiederholenden Zeilen aus der DB nicht angezeigt. Does anyone know if a Flex column can run-around another Flex column?For example: I have 2 columns set as 50% wide each in a Flex parent container. At a specific break point I set the 2nd column, which contains a background image, to 300px high.What I want to happen is for the 1st Flex column, which contains text, to runaround (under the image) to fill up the width of the parent Flex container.I can do this conventionally using float/block at the break point but as I'm using Flexbox it would be good to find a Flexbox only solution, maybe it's not Flexible enough to wander outside of a column structure?Os

After I agreed to the latest update Dreamweaver won't open. I get several error messages regarding .dlls that need to be renamed. I made a HUGE jump from Dreamweaver CS6 to CC17, and needless to say, it's really overwhelming. Everything has changed and i'm trying to work my way through some web updates for a client, and have hit a wall. I'm working on an existing website and need to add a page through a drop down menu. There is currently a single navigation box in a bar, and there is a sub-page to go under it that needs to appear when you hover over with the cursor. I've tried to copy/paste the code from another drop down menu on the same page [different category], then changing the code to reflect the new page with no luck. I'm sure this is an easy thing, but i'm totally stumped. Are there any tutorials for this specifically, or an easier way to do this?
