I had an older version of dreamweaver from 2005. That computer broke down and i had to get a used Dell laptop. I cant find my license. I have 50 or more files called license.. what can i do. Support doesnt have a record of me from 2005.

Hello all,I have been trying to learn how to put together responsive sites using the Skeleton boilerplate. Skeleton: Responsive CSS Boilerplate It's going well, pretty straight forward, but I'm trying to figure out how to code for different versions of a logo for different orientations and devices. Anyone know how to do that? Media queries, I would imagine, but how does one go about changing or adding to the existing CSS?Any ideas? Thanks!Dave

The trouble is the blog icon is an image. It is wrapping to next line. How can I get it into the mix? It will be last in the horizontal lineup. Lastly, I would ideally like the icons slightly closer together. Would that be handled in the ID with negative padding? I sound angry - I am... this should not be this difficult. Two new PC computers - we installed Dreamweaver 17 and we can not access our PHP pages for our site. The code for the page comes up, but the images and formatting does not. Error Message we get: The server folder W:/xampp/htdocs/myFCPH/ cannot be accessed or does not exist. Make sure the server folder is available or select a different on by clicking Manage Sites.Access Denied. PDF files we have on server launch fine...so I do not believe it is a FTP connection issue...The actual PHP file page display with a <?> aboutus.php. We do not know if this is a server issue which we need to contact GoDADDY, or a PHP/APACHE install issue, and if it is we have no idea who to go to for help....or a Dreamweaver bug/default setting (only one person in our office who did not install Dreamweaver can access these PHP files)We are a public health entity and its is critical we figure this out as we manage several sites.Please respond
Occasionally I will get this error message. it's usually when I am entering in code from a panel or shortcut key. This particular one came when adding an img tag from the Insert panel. click the button, select the image, then this pops up.I should note that this happens when editing a classic ASP that uses a includes for the header and footer, and I am not defining a site.
1.) When I search and replace then button "replace" sometimes is not clickableUnfortunately, I could not figure out exactly when this happened.2.) When I search and replace and I click on the "replace" button, then the text is replaced but the selection not go to the next position, so that when I click more than 1 times on the replace button then I replace always the same text at the same position. That's a catastrophe!3.) When I choose a site in the select field of my sites, with the old DW version, I can step by my very many sites with the keyboard keys. Example I can click on the "m" key so I can step all sites that begin with "m". With the new version, this is not possible. When I click more than 1 time to the "m" key, the selection remain on the first site with "m".I think the old GUI was better 😞
Na een systeemcrash wil ik DW 6 opnieuw instaleren. Ik krijg een melding "Serienummer ingetrokken" en thats it. Ik heb weinig zin om weer een paar 100 euro uit te geven voor een product waar ik recht op heb en wat prima voor mij zijn werk doet.Met de "help" functie van Adobe brengt mij in rondjes en uiteindelijk heir te belanden. In dat op zicht is de support van Adobe waardeloos te noemenVraag HOE kom ik van deze irritante melding af en kan ik wederom DW instaleren!! OF anders wie weet een Adobe email adres waar je support kunt aanvragen!!

I did not really know were to post this, as it is not really an idea, or a discussion. Plus some of what i wish to say has been said before.I read the following blog post by the creative cloud team, concerning Dreamweaver -https://blogs.adobe.com/creativecloud/re-imagining-dreamweaver-the-inside-story-on-developing-for-developers/It talks about developing for developers, yet fails to define 'developer', we have already seen the new 'target user' defined as, 'the designer who wishes to code'. So we are left wondering still just who Dreamweaver is aimed at, and worse still who those making the decisions are targeting.In the article, it says that developers do not want Dreamweaver to get in the way, whilst coding. Then it imposes the necessity of using sass just to get autoprefixing for css, which not only 'gets in the way', but imposes a completely unnecessary workflow on the developer, as there is no alternative provided by Dreamweaver. I find a new but recurring situation that I want to correct. It deals with assigning a URL to a text hyperlink.After selecting the text that's to receive the link, I paste into the Link field of the properties pane the copied URL. I then press Return.For no apparent reason, the markup gets broken into three lines,as shown on "lines 14 through 17" in the first of two screen shots.I must use delete to raise each entry to the appropriate line in the markup, as shown in the second screen shot....This problem rears its ugly head whenever I activate "Apply Source Formatting" to an existing page that has URLs entered in the markup. For example, in my next screen shot, the formatting for the string of links looks as it should. . .. . . but when I activate "Apply Source Formatting," each of those links gets broken into several components that drop onto the next line. I uploaded my website using Dreamweaver, but it didn't work. I can't see anything on the internet. I guess something wrong with site setting, but I don't know what's wrong. I have been messing around with a mobile responsive navigation menu from w3schools... How To Create a Responsive Top Navigation MenuIn the sample code they provide, it hides all links apart from the first one, "Home" when the screen is less than 600px.../* When the screen is less than 600 pixels wide, hide all links, except for the first one ("Home"). Show the link that contains should open and close the topnav (.icon) */@media screen and (max-width: 600px) { .topnav a:not(:first-child) {display: none;} .topnav a.icon { float: right; display: block; }}I'd rather the menu show another specific link when less than 600px, but I am unsure how to use the first-child. I have done a bit of research on it, but every article just leads to more complication.Does anyone know where I can obtain easy reading material on this?

I have a navigation bar on a website I am building and have I noticed that it is notoriously difficult to navigate on mobile devices due to the navbar menu options opening and closing based on scrolling on and off of them. Hi!I have a successful internet blog MyproteinDiscountCodes.co.uk which is made in Wordpress. The theme is from a developer, but I wanna make some changes to it. My question is how I can use Adobe Dreamweaver to edit the theme files and how I can make test the live version of the website in it?
After updating to Dreamweaver CC 2017, I opened it to work on a website I am webmaster over and the workspace loads but does not render the 2 pane layout in code nor design. It's just a black screen with a white box on the top right (some times both code and design panes are white) where my content should be. All the menu's are there. I've had to resort to my Windows Lenovo to update the website. 😕😕 Seems like it's a Mac Sierra OS issue. Anyone else having this issue with Dw CC 2017?
Hi,I've set up a few live sites in Dreamweaver and these are working fine.We also have testing sites for these live sites, but every time I try set up a site for them it gives me an error message. The connection details I used for setting these up are the same that I am using when working with FileZilla (and it works fine there). The reason I need to get these sites set up asap is because I need to edit main template files, which then need to update other pages. Please see the image of the error message attached. We have tried everything , but no success. Hope there is someone who could help!Thanks,Kadri

My client wants me to have 5 tabs/pills on the navigation bar and each would have a different color background (ie: home would have an orange background, science would have a green background, all with black text). It appears to me the best way would be to use pills and change the background color. I can also make the menus in illustrator cc and make the images clickable. Which do you think would work best or maybe another idea would work best.Thanks.Carolyn
Sinds een update van mijn hostingpartij werkt de FTP-client in Dreamweaver niet meer.Na contact te hebben gezocht met mijn hostingbedrijf werd duidelijk dat een server instelling niet meer werkt. Wat blijkt; bij Hoofddirectory stond altijd: public_html , dit werkt dus niet meer het moet worden; domains/domeinnaam.nl/public_html , het hele pad dus in plaats van alleen de map , het testen gaat goed, er wordt verbinding gemaakt met de server.Als ik dan terug ga in Dreamweaver om een upload te doen krijg ik weer een foutmelding dat er geen verbinding kan worden gemaakt. Bij de serverinstellingen blijkt dat bij Hoofddirectory weer public_html staat. Op een één of andere manier wijzigt Dreamweaver dit uit zich zelf.Vraag dus: is het mogelijk om bij Hoofddirectory een volledig pad in te vullen zonder dat Dreamweaver dit werd verandert ?Mvg,Pointer
