Dreamweaver

I am currently a graphic designer student and are doing a task where I make a website. So, I am half way in the html coding and was asked to download the html files to one.com so my teacher could see the website. But now I can not edit more in the html files in dreamweaver... how do I fix this? This shows when I try to save the files:

First off, I'm not a DW expert;  or even really good with it. I know enough to build basic web pages and that's about it. Worse, I'm a novice when it comes to using CSS styles, which I loathe. (Please don't ask me why I loathe it and why it's so fantastic, please). In any event, I created a heading for this page I'm working on with large font, and modified the text color from brown to white. I didn't want the body of the text on the page to go from edge to edge, so I inserted a table, made it 95% width, and copied/pasted in the text body. The next step was to change it also from brown to white, but no matter how I manipulate CSS (which DW demands I learn), it will not change from brown. I've tried to remove CSS styles to creating a new style to modifying a style, all to no avail. No doubt the solution is something absurdly simple - but only if you know the answer. It's so maddening to simply not be able to change text color since just highlighting it and clicking the color palate

Good day all! I have a CSS3 navigation bar.  Usually it shows up correctly in Design view.  However, today for some reason, it  just won't show up correctly and shows up as a list of menu items.  I have the same menu bar on all of my other pages and it shows up correctly.  Now, when I "put" the errant page onto the WWW, it does show up correctly.  I have tried replacing the errant menu with a menu from another page, but it still shows up as a list.  I seem to remember that there's a button or something like that to toggle back and forth between list and not list as far as menus go.  Attached are the "good menu" and the "bad menu".    I appreciate your help! My cut images from photoshop are not coming together properly to form my completed web page in the browser and is showing breaks where my cuts are. I admit that I have not done this for a while however the last time I was behind the keyboard I simply adjusted the size of the images and the cells to fix this. I am stuck this time as I have not been able to close these gaps and its really starting to agitate me, someone please help.

Hello Helpers...Trying to connect to my remote pages via CS5, previously CS3 which worked great for me, but was cancelled by Adobe, as most of U certainly know... Line to server and local pages runs as it should.The issue is with 'Version Control' that, so far, will not open my own flood gate. Even Help Desk ofthe Server Co. is in the dark. Nobody knows the correct formula to gain access from the Repositary Path.Incl. please find a screen shot of relevant Site Setup, into which we entered all kinds of infos withvariations, to no avail. The lines U see here are filled with baloney. Which info has to go onto theopen line is the Mill $ question..!Thank U mucho for suggestions.

Hi,   We are getting a message 'Some jQuery widgets are defined without corresponding HTML tags' apperaring at the top of files we open.   We have disabled all Code Hints. Why is this hint showing up?   [Offensive file name removed as per Adobe Support Community Guidelines.]

Since the extract option is no longer available (and the course I'm taking goes over extracting) I'm attempting to copy CSS from Photoshop and paste into Dreamweaver.  After I copy the CSS from Photoshop, when I right click on my selection in the CSS Designer ( in this case, "nav") Paste Styles is not available. I know it's copying from Photoshop, because I can paste the CSS info into notepad. But why do I not have the option to paste in Dreamweaver? 

Anyone figure out how to make specific tags show up in different colors in Dreamweaver 2020's code view?  I have been fiddling with the main.less file but it doesn't seem to allow me to change the color of a specific tag.  I am hoping to change CFML tag colors - or just change the HTML tags to another color so the CFML stuff stays blue.

What's with the sudden influx of notifications. I had 44 yesterday and 59 today. Is it down to a forum software blip?

When I have a simple HTML page containing a <br> tag it becomes difficult to select or edit the text on all following lines, it is as though the editor thinks there is an extra space somewhere.When I double click a word to select it, this happens:This is in Dreamweaver 2021 on macOS monterey in Design view.If I delete the <br> from the previous line, I can then edit normally and afterwards replace the <br>, but that is a very clunky way to work.Editing works normally in live view, I remember years ago this bug appeared in live view and the solution was to just use design view, now it seems they have fixed live view but broken Design view.

I'm working on a body of code that won't ever have a doctype, but this alert is in the way.  How do I disable the "Doctype Must Be Declared First" alert, and any others like it?  I can't find it in my preferences.

When I convert my HTML preview to a PDF, then make that PDF editable and select the fonts they are Defaulting and arent registering. Is there any work arounf this or a explenation?

I'm not really having an issue, but your website is having an issue. 

I'm using the latest version 21.3 and have a powerful PC, 32gb ram, i9 CPU, SSD, 3090 gpu. But using Live view is very slow and laggy.

The design view does not consistently scroll. You can scroll for a little bit and then it "thinks" it is at the bottom. You can wiggle the dividing bar between design and code and then you are able to scroll the design view a little bit more, but then it stops and you have to wiggle the bar again. You can see here there is quite a bit more content below this image in the code view, but the design view shows the scrolling has reached it's end. Anyone else run into this before and have a workaround? Thanks!

I am working on an image grid and was hoping somebody could let me know why it isn't displaying properly. Using Safari the image grid works, except it doesn't display my images, instead it shows the image icon. I am able to sort through the image grid but it does not display my images. Previewing in Dreamweaver and it doesn't work at all, the buttons are not responsive and it doesn't show images or icons. I'm on a Mac and just upgraded to 2017.5. The local copies of my site are in a GitHub folder which I've been managing with GitHub Desktop.I was able to make a push through Dreamweaver, but had to enter my username/password on the push screen, which is fine for the first time, but that's going to get really old if it doesn't remember it (which it doesn't appear it does).When I made a pull, I got this credential-osxkeychain error. I'm thinking there is something jacked up since I've been using Git on my machine for some time, just not through Dreamweaver.I have two sites that have the same issue (and they are the only ones I use with Git).Any thoughts? I've search the forum and found lots of posts about this problem but they are all from 3-7 years ago. One of the recent updates from Adobe has resulted in Dreamweaver becoming unusably slow.Example, I click click on a word in HTML view and ... nothing happens for up to 10 seconds. Just nothing. Then, finally, the cursor jumps to where I clicked.  I double-click on a word and ... nothing happens for 5 to 10 to 15 seconds and then, finally, the word highlights.  I roll the scroll wheel and ... nothing happens for 5+ seconds before, finally, the text scrolls. I am working on my local drive. The projects are very small - an HTML file, an image, and the .JS file created by Adobe Animate. Any tips or work-arounds greatly appreciated! 21.3 15593 BuildWindows 10

After updating to Dreamweaver 2020 I can't connect with our GIT environment anymore. It keeps popping up with this: credential-osxkeychain is not a git command.  I've tried removing the keychain, renewing the user/pw, but it doesnt seem to store them anymore.I read previos Dreamweaver versions (mainly 2017) had the same problems, wich were fixed after an update. Does anyone have a clue? It used to work perfectly. Thanks in advance,Viktor  

Hi - Like many who use GitHub I got the email that password access will soon be deprecated and we need to switch to token authentication. Fine, so I went into GitHub and created my token.But how can I make this change to my site in Dreamweaver? When I go into Manage Sites and select the site, the whole Git section is grayed out, with no apparent way to update my authentication.

  I am an entrepreneur running multiple global businesses from a high end Windows 11 MSI GE75 Raider "gaming computer" (I never do gaming). I write and edit a travel newsletter with Dw, and at times when I highlight a line (like a headline from a table of contents) to move it to the actual story, the appearance of copy gets weird for several seconds.  Is this an issue because Dw is not fully compatible yet with Windows 11, or is it some other issue I should address? It is not an issue that disables productivity, it's just annoying. And since I have continuous rough deadlines I don't like interruptions, even brief ones. Thanks! --JMBCOMMS
