We have an issue where we are assigning licenses (in the admin console) to users, but when they log in, it doesn't register that the license is assigned. Not on the users web portal, nor on the actual adobe app. Strangely enough, this is only happening on new users since December 2019. We have 2x licenses assigned to users that were assigned ages ago, and they don't have any problems. It is only the 2x new users that we assigned licenses for recently that have this issue.

A few months back I made the change to my DOCICON.xml file to enable the integration with Acrobat and Sharepoint to prompt the user to "Check Out and Open" PDF files in document libraries in Sharepoint 2013. It worked fine and as expected. After applying CU's to Sharepoint up to October 2013, this function seems to have gone away. I verified that the DOCICON.xml settings are correct. Ex: <Mapping Key="pdf" Value="pdficon_small.png" OpenControl="AdobeAcrobat.OpenDocuments" /> I can still get the "check out..." prompt if I open the document libraries with Windows Explorer, but not when PDF's are opened directly on Sharepoint. I have a support case opened with Microsoft, but they seem to point the problem at Adobe.I have verified that the AcroPDF.dll is on each client and is enabled in IE. The PDF files open with Acrobat, but the check out prompt is not showing up unless I open the Sharepoint library with Explorer.Have tried different Acrobat versions (10 and 11) as well as dif
Hi, I've created different users groups with their product profiles. I've assigned administrative privileges to the admins of every single group but, as far as I can see, an administrator of a single group can see all the organization groups, and product profiles, etc., though she/he (correctly) can't manage them. Is there a way to limit the view of all the groups? For example, I'd like that the admin of the Sales group could see only the product profiles and users of its group, and NOT all the other groups, and their respective product profiles. Any suggestion?
When I start RUM on one of the machines in a lab I maintain, it will only check for Acrobat updates, while the other machines check for everything. I can't seem to get this one computer to look at anything else. I investigated using ChannelIDs to force it to look for a specific app, but that feature doesn't seem to support versions after 2015. Any ideas? This driving me crazy. I am typing "sudo remoteupdatemanage". We don't need a proxy. I am currently running version 2.2.0.3. I can confirm that Acrobat is indeed up-to-date and all of the other apps are not updated. For instance, Photoshop is at 20.0.4 and 20.0.6 is available. Here is what I see when I run the command on this computer: Starting the RemoteUpdateManager... ************************************************** No new updates are available for Acrobat/Reader ************************************************** No new applicable Updates. Seems like all products are up-to-date. RemoteUpdateManager exiting
HelloWe have an internal Adobe Update Server (Windows). Usually the users do see the apps they have licenses for in the Creative Cloud desktop app, but not always. Myself as an administrator do not have any licensed apps. I only see Illustrator, why I do not know. I do not see any trial versions and I need that to test the downloading of apps when users complain. If I remove the override file I can see all the trial versions. How can i fix this?
Recently I have joined a university that provides students with free access to all Adobe CC applications. I have logged in correctly with my student email via the desktop application and when I log in all the apps say "try" and "buy" when I'm supposed to install them for free. When I log in it also skips the step that asks you if it's a personal or school account. I've tried signing out again and logging in but it would be the same. I've also contacted the school's IT support to see if the account is linked to the subscription and I believe it is. It's also worth noting that i've used Adobe CC in my old school (which I do not attend anymore) as they provided it to students for free (all access). I've also logged in successfully using my old school email. So i'm wondering if I need to cancel my old email or change the email that i've used the first time because of the conflict so as to allow my new school email (university) to get full access. How do I fix this?
Hi, I'm trying to understand the Adobe best practise metod for installing Acrobat DC on a shared virtual server. This is the guide adobe support gave me: https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/VirtualizationGuide/wts.html#terminal-server-deploymentThis has steps with no explanation on how to implement them such as:Accept the EULA on behalf of all users by setting the appropriate registry key.Use SUPPRESSLANGSELECTION on the command line at install time to disable user’s ability to change the language.Has anyone managed to do this?
I am trying to login to the creative cloud app on windows but my enterprise login requires 2FA via DUO. When the creative cloud app re-directs to the DUO via OKTA login I am not allowed to authenticate because the chrome API Creative cloud is using is too old and enterprise requires latest version of chrome to allow authentication. Is there any way I can have Creative cloud app redirect to the actual chrome browser vs. the frame window used by the CC app? Thanks!
Hi Adobe Team, Name: Vijay Krishna NimmagaddaCompany Name: Capital GroupEmail id: vijaykrishna.nimmagadda@capgroup.com I am not able to get the login screen for the AEM desktop app. Can you please let me know why i am getting the error below. Thanks,Vijay.
Used CCP to create just a base package of Creative Cloud... nothing else. Package gets created and it will install but there are no shortcuts, no programs and features listing, files are missing. A quick compare of this .msi to our previous version .msi and they are almost identical. I tried creating on W7 & W10; tried installing to W7 & W10; used AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool; tried 32bit and 64bit. All created packages have the same results.Any ideas? Or, how to make a licensed installer with the downloaded Creative Cloud (ACCCx4_8_0_421.zip).Thank you
Hello folks! I work for a school that is using shared device licensing and I'm trying to figure out which files handle login cache so I can create a batch script to automatically delete them whenever the lab units boot. I see that opm.db handles the login cache for the Creative Cloud Desktop App, but even after deleting that file, the core Adobe apps (Photoshop, Premeire, etc) still remain logged in. I've been digging through every file that changes when logging in and out, but it's really starting to become tedious. Sadly, the scope of my position prevents me from simple creative multiple AD accounts for Windows, otherwise this wouldn't be as much of an issue. If anyone has any solutions, please let me know. I really wish that Adobe simply had an option to automatically log out when closing Adobe apps, or the CCD app.
Dear Adobe, Maybe you have forgotten yourself what is customer and her time. Every task which could be done in 10 minutes, are stretched to 1 hour. It's like they are paid for hours not work tasks. It's not fair. Are you going to merge support for EU region and improve support? I want to confirm as below:https://community.adobe.com/t5/the-lounge/slow-customer-support-from-adobe/td-p/9754779?page=1
We recently set up Federated IDs in our environment Using the Azure Connector. Users have been synced and can sign in without issue to our shared device licensed machines, so no issue there. However, if we try to assign a license for CC All apps to a Federated ID, we are unable. The option is grayed out and we can only assign it to an Adobe ID account. We are unclear why this is. Are we missing something obvious?
I'm not sure how to get around this problem. I've set up Adobe Update Server on IIS following this guide: Use the Adobe Update Server Setup Tool (AUSST) When my client PC runs the Create Cloud app and I try to install an application (like Media Encoder), it fails, generating an Error 125. The details of the error are as follows:Exit Code: 125-------------------------------------- Summary -------------------------------------- - 2 fatal error(s), 0 error(s), 0 warnings(s) FATAL: Fatal Error '125' occurred while downloadFATAL: Error occurred in install product workflow with error code 125 error message {http://myupdateserver//updates/ACC/services/ffc/packages//AME/13.1/win64/Application.json?name=AME&version=13.1&platform=win64&build=13.1.0.173,P:-4,PS:404,G:-4}-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The update server works fine, I have the IIS server set to allow browsing so I can navigate in the folder, but when I click on

I've been sharing folders with my designers, who all work remotely (in InDesign, InCopy and Photoshop), and every so often, all of the files in our shared folder—every jpeg, psd, indd, icma, etc —show up in a team member's trash or on their local system—even files they've never worked on. (They suck up all the memory of their laptops too, crashing their computers.) If ever they empty trash, the files get deleted from our shared cloud and we lose everything. Anyone know how to solve? This has happened maybe once a year, and to different team members each time. [Moved from Community Help (which is about the forums) to a better forum... Mod]
Long story short. I have had CC through work, since 2015. Initially only two of us had a license. Gradually the whole dept. moved to CC. Yesterday I wiped my hard drive (Mac) and installed Mojave. Creative Cloud seems to think my work email is a personal account and gives me no option to switch to Enterprise, so all the apps I need to install, to keep working, say Try or Buy. None of the help articles help me. And our IT people have no suggestions.
Hi AllI am trying to setup a new user on an iMac 27 (3.2 GHz Intel Core i5) that already had various cloud apps installed for an old user (no longer with the company.I have set up the new user as part of our team membership, they received the ‘access is granted’ message from Adobe, visited the site and created their password, etc. They can log in to the site fine with their Adobe ID and see their plan, available apps, etc. However, yesterday I tried several times to launch the CC desktop app and install / update apps. Every time I entered the new Adobe ID and password (which works on the CC web site) I received a ‘Unable to authenticate your Adobe ID’ error message and I was signed out.Having read through various support FAQ’s (and spoke to support) it seemed possible that the Desktop App could be corrupt, so I downloaded the uninstaller and uninstalled it. I then downloaded the installer and reinstalled it.The installer required my Adobe ID and Password, which I enter. It then goes to
Good Day I am in an environment that uses SCCM to deploy software. I need to automate the installation of InDesign CS6, but I am not getting pass the trial version screen. Hi there,I have an active support case with Adobe regarding this and no one has responded to any emails from me or my colleagues in my IT department who are trying to help find a resolution to this issue. Can someone PLEASE help with this issue?I upgraded my Mac to Catalina. I had been using Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app which told me there was an error and I needed to reinstall. When I tried that I got a P1 error. I tried to follow the steps on this page that guides how to resolve an install error. but did not have any success with the uninstall app. It doesn't run. I deleted all adobe apps from my machine and all adobe folders but am still getting the P1 error. This is when I contacted Adobe Support who asked me to repeat the process and try a different installer. That didn't work. I tried doing this with the root user on my machine and that worked. As requested by Adobe Support I confirmed I have full admin rights on my Mac. My IT team have completely reimaged the machine i
Hi Community,I am a VIP Creative Cloud for Teams Named User. Can I use my named user subscription within multiple businesses like a Microsoft Developer Network subscription (MSDN Subscription)? Hi, I'm trying to reach support but I'm constantly on hold, so maybe someone here can help. I've been told that once I migrate our license to shared device license, it will allow use of 2019 and later versions of Adobe CC, without any other changes to our licensing. I've read that device licensed computers will need to be updated in some way to be compliant within 30 days of the migration. Here are my questions: 1. Is the first part true. Will this for sure allow me to install 2019 versions?2. Does everyone need their own login, or can there be a shared login?3. For the existing deployments, is there a simple licensing package that will update them, or does the entire Adobe CC installation have to be removed then reinstalled? Has anyone actually done this and know that it works without a lot of issues?4. If I decide to stick with 2018 device licensing, how long can I continue to use this, will it expire and force us to switch? I don't see any messages alerti
