Using the Adobe Customization Wizard, I am trying to remove the "Make Adobe Acrobat my default PDF application" prompt on program start. I have tried adding the Feature Lockdown "bDisablePDFHandlerSwitching" Dword to the package, but am still prompted to set after install. The default PDF application is currently set to Reader DC in Windows (though not enforced through policy). Windows 10 LTSB if that makes any difference. The reason for this is I am trying to create an Adobe Pro DC App Volume for use in our VDI environment. These non-persistent machines are destroyed on logout and a new machine is provisioned each time the user logs in. I would like to avoid having the user prompted every day.Alternatively, if someone knows where the setting is actually written were I to click "Don't ask me again" (registry, %programdata%, user profile, etc), that would be a big help.Cheers.
Hello Adobe Forum members; How can we be better notified that an update of any kind is about to happen prior to it occurring? We run an Adobe Authorized Training Center and just had an instance where our 2-day class had access to Typekit fonts on one day, but the next day the feature became unavailable because there is an update to Creative Cloud. We were NOT notified of this update being scheduled. It just happened during class. This is a huge problem to us as it's a waste of time during classes.Once more to clarify: Is anyone aware of a feature or some type of way to be better notified of updates in Creative Cloud before they happen? Thank you!
For Adobe Reader, all the registry keys which are added with the Adobe Customization Wizard are automatically added to each user. Unfortunately, it is not the same with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.They registry keys have to be stored in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\2015\Installer\Migrate to be automatically added in the HKCU of the user at its first launch of the application. But they are stored in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\[RegistryHiveName]\Installer\Migrate, as we can see on the screenshot below:The problem is probably coming from one of the custom actions. The variable RegistryHiveName is not translated. I didn't make a lot of research, but waiting on a solution from Adobe, I made a PowerShell script which move the registry keys to the correct place: Move-Item -Path 'HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\`[RegistryHiveName`]\Installer\Migrate\*' -Destination 'HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\2015\Installer\Migrate' -fo
I have installed Adobe Acrobat XI on 3 citrix servers but when attempting to open a pdf in acrobat the following error occurs: I followed instructions on another post and installed Adobe Application manager version 10 but the same error still occurs. What can I do to fix this issue?
Ok, I am in need of some guidance on activating my licenses for adobe acrobat DC.Adobe support can't seem to wrap their heads around this when I call/chat with them but here is the situation. I have a single adobe account that I manage all of my users licenses with. I have bought 4 single Adobe Acrobat DC licenses, 1 adobe acrobat pro DC license and I also have one creative cloud membership all under this account. What I am running in to is I will install the adobe acrobat dc standalone installer and it takes my license to install it and completes successfully. However when I launch acrobat I wants me to "sign in" to my adobe account. First time I did this was fine didn't care. However now I am seeing that what is happening is when I "sign in" it is activating it under my creative membership and NOT the single license I inputted. Obviously this becomes an issue after just 2 activations and am having a hard time trying to activate my single licenses. I have tried bypassing the sign on but
I'm having trouble with making Adobe Reader DC (17) open PDF files directly inside IE instead of opening the desktop app. In previous version of Reader there used to be a button in the "Internet" options under the settings menu that said something like "View PDF in browser", or something like that. However, in DC that option is no longer available. I have searched the internet for many hours, but I have not found any solution to the problem. The PDF ActiveX addin in IE is already enabled.Thanks//Johan
I went through the processes on the page and it did not work. I have to get all the computers setup for our Media Classes by Friday. Please advise. Our college paid for a full subscription and it says "Try" instead of install next to After Affects and about 12/19 applications. Please Advise.
With Acrobat Pro XI standard practice was to install Reader. Is the same true for Acrobat DC users?
I am deploying via SCCM Adobe Acrobat DC enterprise wide. I need to suppress the prompt to set Acrobat as default when the user 1st opens it. I am in a mix environment of Windows 7 and 10. Even when user has admin rights, you can't set is default with this prompt. It appears the only way to change the default in Win 10 is through the control panel so this prompt isn't useful at all. I have tried suppressing the FTE but it still comes up. I have tried various ways with Adobe DC Customization Wizard but no luck so far. I have set "Installer will decide which product will be the default" - this leaves Reader as the default. Which is preferable "Make Acrobat the default PDF viewer" changes it to Edge. The DISM method sets the default for future profiles but not for current profiles, unless I am missing something. Has anybody been able to suppress the prompt in Windows 10?
All,I'm a sys admin and I need to download the full package for installs on multiple workstations. I can't rely on internet downloads for installs.please let me know where i can download the entire packageThank you.
Good Morning All,About to deploy Adobe Creative Cloud into a high security environment. What I'd like to do is utilise a local server to distribute updates to clients rather than clients receiving directly from Adobe.I'm not sure it's even realistic and if anyone could advise i'd be grateful. The clients are all iMac platform deployed in a Windows domain environment. Thanks In Advance.David
Hi all,Just starting out with Creative Cloud Packager so I apologize if these are questions with obvious answers. To begin with, I'd just like to package and deploy the Creative Cloud Desktop application, enabling the option for non-admin users to install and update their CC apps. I launch the packager and create a package for CC Desktop. It does its thing, creates a package, and tells me it's done. So far, so good. However, at no point during the process has it told me what the version number of the CC Desktop app it has packaged is. If I look at the PackageInfo.txt file that is generated it just says:This package contains following updatesAdobe Application Manager (update14)If I look closely at the log file, I see a line sayingAdobePackageBuilder - Sucessfully extracted the product at C:\Users\rsteele\AppData\Local\Temp\{44C2B627-1006-4243-BFE7-92E0F73666A7}\ACCCx4_1_1_202I'm guessing the "4_1_1_202" at the end denotes version 4.1.1.202 of CC Desktop, but if I look at the https://help
Hello,I created the Acrobat DC 2017 installed from the Creative Cloud Packager and specified to disable updates. I then deployed this with the 'setup.exe --silent' on many machines but we are getting prompts of it Automatically Updating. I reached out to Support and they said for me to use the Customization Wizard but there are issues with this:Using the latest version of the CustWiz, I am unable to open the Acrobat MSI created from Creative Cloud PackagerDeploying it using the MSI does not work, only using the 'setup.exe' as specified in documentationI also deployed the Group Policy settings from the pertinent ADMX templates but those have no effectAny ideas outside of deploying a registry setting? The above options should have worked.
Creative suite 5.5 Design standard Student and education editionHur göra?

Hello together,I want to deploy Adobe Reader DC 2017 in our company on Windows 10.Is it possible to prevent the above pop-up message to be displayed?I tried with no luck:REG ADD "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\DC\FeatureLockDown" /v "bToggleFTE" /t REG_DWORD /f /d "1"
Hi,I'm getting error "DNS validation failed. Please check your configuration and attempt validation" when validating our domain. I've added TXT record following Adobe Enterprise follow this simple guide to verify ownership of a domain but error persists.Any suggestions? Thanks.
I recently helped a company move from individual licenses to Acrobat DC for Teams. The users are complaining about the new version of Acrobat, they prefer the old interface. Is there an option to download and install legacy versions of the application? Or is there a way to get the old interface as a theme or some such thing?Thank you!
I have two sets of Acrobat Pro keys, and a set of Creative Cloud licenses which includes Acrobat Pro. How can I find out which licenses are still available to use? On the Creative Cloud site, that is simple enough, but is there a site i can check for the licenses? For one set of keys, i am given a reference link to https://adobe.subscribenet.com/ where I can go to download the software, but it doesn't explain how many licenses I have and if they are used or not. Any help is appreciated.
I have wasted hours in trying to install and activate a recently purchased license for Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. I have sent an invitation link from Creative Cloud for teams. When I clicked the link, a blank webpage appears (see below). I have tried x3 different browsers and the same outcome. I have also downloaded and installed Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, and I have signed in. Still the program does not recognize that I have a license, and only a trial exists. Can someone help? Here is the screenshot of the webpage from the link in the invitation email:
After updating CC this morning, I keep getting messages that "Adobe Application Manager, required to verify your license, is missing or Damaged. It tells me to download the program.I have done that. Uninstalled CC, rebooted, and re-stalled and re-booted, but keep getting the error. The CC app seems to be working. It had me update my installed apps, and indicated that I was logged into my CC account. But when I run a CC app (Acrobat, Photoshop, etc.,) I continue to get the error.(...and why does it say CS6 Creative Cloud? I don't have any CS6 programs installed. Only CC2014x)
Could anyone please advise if user who has two MACs is able to run the same app on both MACs at the same time?
HiOn July, 10 I created a package of Creative Cloud Desktop Application within the Admin Console. After installing on a client it showed up as version 4.1.1.202.On August 2 I created a new package because I realized that there was a new version available. On existing clients, the software updated itself from 4.1.1.202 to 4.2.0.211. So there was a new version. After adding the new package to SCCM, creating Detection Method etc. I now realize that the installer is still version 4.1.1.202. So my detection check fails because it's checking on version 4.2.0.211 and newer. The upgrade happens after you sign in with your Adobe ID.To sum up: I have to remove the new package from SCCM because it's still the same old version. If users install the CC App from Software Center, they will install an old piece of software and have to wait until it updates itself. Why is there no new version available to package? Is there any patch file available to patch from 4.1 to 4.2?Thanks
We have a client whom just purchased the portal licensed version of Adobe Acrobat DC Standard. We tried it on her system before rolling it out, and it's a good thing we did, as now her toolbars are being erased when she opens up other documents. They use PDFlyer and I found others with similar issues.Users should be able to customize their toolbars without having them wiped out depending on if they open a document from Outlook, from the web, or from the program itself. Has there been a solution posted? She is logged in under her account with the latest version.OS: Windows 7/10Version: Adobe Acrobat DC StandardWe're holding off on rolling out and may even ask for a refund if this has now become an Adobe "feature". Thanks!
I have a user who has Creative Cloud installed on her workstation and the only software she has installed through it is Adobe InDesign. She has plenty of other Adobe software and some with multiple versions (i.e. Adobe Photshop CS2, older version of Adobe InDesign, Adobe Bridge, etc..) but Creative Cloud itself is the problem.Creative Cloud is constantly crashing (always within 3 minutes of being open), always bringing up a prompt it has "stopped working.." and you can either close it out or attempt to restart the program. Regardless of whether CC restarts or not, she can continue to work on inDesign, but this is a very annoying issue. I have done a lot of things to troubleshoot it, including some previously posted steps of uninstalling both CC and InDesign and then installing it all again. Yes, that includes deleting certain Adobe folders during the installation process (suggested from other forum posts). Also tried system restores to before when it was working fine.
