Flash Player (read-only)

Is it normal that I have old versions of Adobe Flash Player that won't go away?I have versions 15 and 18 still on my Add-on/Plug-in list even though it's updated to version 21. The older ones are set to "Never Activate" but I wonder why they don't go away, even when I uninstall/reinstall the Flash Player?Thanks for any response!

Hi there.. Running OS X Yosemite and 10.10.5 Safari Version 9.1 (10601.5.17.4) I had an outdated version of the newest Flash, but maybe about 6 months behind on updates.. I tried to update and it kept saying critical updates were still needed... Since it was not updating correctly, I tried uninstalling and doing a normal install and got this error message:So I then followed the instructions for a clean reinstall, but I got this error messageThe flash player works fine on chrome, but occasionally, I prefer to use safari.. The system...Macbook pro13 inch  mid-2012osx el capitan 10.11.32.5 ghz intel core i516 gb 1600 mhz ddr3 ramintel hd graphics 4000 1536 mbSafari version 9.0.3 (11601.4.4)NPAPI Plug-in version 21.0.0.197 is installed.PPAPI Plug-in version 21.0.0.197 is installed.Comcast internet broadband benchmarked at 155 Mbps download, 12 Mbps upload speeds.Unfortunately, I’m not able to directly connect to the modem.  I use a wireless home network.  Apple Time Machine, or a wireless extension Apple Airport Express.Here’s the issue-When playing WGT (World Golf Tour) games, it will play normally for a certain period of time.  Watching the Activity Monitor will show the Flash Player as the most active process, and when running normally will use around 50% cpu power.  At random times, usually when trying to animate the set up to a very long putt, the Flash player will start grabbing anywhere from 150% to 175% cpu power.  This will cause the animation to break down completely

How can I resolve this problem?

I go to a web site and it will not let me engage due to "flash needs updates".  I go to adobe site, install new version, go back to the site and same message.  Help!

I have been having the same problems with Flash using Chrome and I.E.  Everything is updated and still fails.  Have to restart the computer everytime to get it to work or restart the browsers, which this step sometimes fails.  I haven't had any issues up until now.

We are experiencing problems with version 21. Some components are not behaving as expected. For example in some of the autoComplete components we have, our users have to enter the field twice for the auto-complete functionality to trigger. This was all working fine in the previous version. However it would be a pain to have to downgrade all of our users manually.Will there be an update to correct this ?Thanks,-Grant.

I'm using Windows 8.1 and explorer 11. Until recently there were no flashplayer issues but now I'm unable to use it for websites where it is required. I've gone through all the troubleshooting steps that are shown online and when I check through the adobe website it says that flashplayer is still not installed. Shockwave Flash Object is enabled and ActiveX Filtering is not on. Any suggestions to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated!

I recently got a new Dell Inspiron 15-7568 running Windows 10. When using the latest version of Firefox, any text and images in a new window that opens using Adobe Flash are about 25% of the size they should be, rendering them nearly impossible to read, and I can't find any way to increase the size. The problem does not occur when using Microsoft Edge, the Flash windows open as they should in that browser. Any help in figuring out how to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Flash Player stopped working and when I start up my task manager and check under services, it says Flash Player has stopped working and the operation could not be completed when I press to start it up again. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it and the problem still occurs.

Hallo ,i have installed the latest version of Flash player but sometimes it shows the new look ( larger whitish buttons etc) and sometimes it comes back the old look.By the time i enjoy the new look at a video at youtube i close the browser and then reopen the browser and try to see the same video i was watching before and the "the new look" has gone. I am in Hong Kong SAR, no matter where I try, even to US web, once I press the download button, it will go back to Adobe Taiwan web and display in Traditional Chinese. In such page, it automatic shows my OS is window7 x64bit, Tridational Chinese and there is no other way I can change it back to English, even the IE10 I used is English version too.If I continuou in that Chinese page, the Flash Player that I download will be Chinese or English version?Last time when I use Window7 x32bit, I can get the English version.Is any one can help to answer me.ThanksDicksony

Sites like WeTransfer.com, CreditKarma.com, etc. don't seem to be loading properly in any modern browser (FF and Chrome primarily) after the Player 13 update. I'm primarily getting error messages stating that the browser and/or Flash Player need to be update for the site to be used (with a download link provided), yet I am still able to see some of the core HTML elements On my other PC, I'm running Player 12.x, and don't seem to have any issues (please note, but machines are running Windows 7, SP1).Here's a screenshot of how WeTransfer.com looks after the Player 13 update:Here's a screenshot of how it looks before the Player 13 update:I know that others are having issues with video players, games, etc., but this is the first I've seen where entire flash-based websites won't load after a player update. Flash Player is constantly crashing, and some sites, it will not pull up at all. I just keep getting an error message that the Shockwave Player may be busy or not responding.So far, I have removed and re-installed it. I have also checked to be sure it is fully activated and that I am using the newest version. Does anyone know of a possible solution?
