Illustrator on the iPad

The Illustrator app keeps crashing when trying open or create a new project. Was working before the iPadOS 26.4 update. And I even updated to iPadOS 26.4.2 version to no avail. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared cache and shut it all down. I have a 9th generation ipad. What is the resolution to this issue?

Whenever I open my abode illustrator it crashes. It’s annoying. Need help

Good afternoon everyone.Lately I’ve encountered a pretty substantial problem with my illustrator, where every digit I type is stubbornly turned into arabic digits with arabic right to left reading order and everything else that comes with that.Context: I have spent a couple of years working on projects where Arabic language support was required, hence I used to have the English/Arabic versions of the adobe programmes installed for that time period. Since, having no more need for arabic script use, I’ve reinstalled all the software to the default English language. No problems were encountered in the process, apart from a recent issue with Adobe Illustrator (only).Everything else in settings seems to be fine, the language is set to English UK, nothing in properties indicated arabic script requirements. What is worse, is that I can’t locate the digits settings in illustrator to fix this script mishap. Anybody else encountered this issue?Please help, adobe is rage-baiting me into installin

When opening an AI file on iPad, AI crashes. I’ve tried opening several projects and AI crashes upon opening. I’ve tried removing and reinstalling the app and restarting my iPad to no prevail. AI crashes when I try to create and open a new file as well. How do I remedy this issue?

The recent updates have completely broken Illustrator on iPad, and Adobe Support is actively trying to cover it up instead of fixing the code. I am a professional Adobe Stock contributor, and I have been unable to work for half a month due to non-stop crashes during import and export.When I contacted support, they literally told me to buy a new iPad because my 3GB RAM device is "no longer supported." This is an absolute lie and a scam. Adobe Fresco runs perfectly fine on the exact same device without a single crash! Furthermore, this forum is flooded with identical complaints from users with much newer iPad models. It is a massive software architecture bug, not a hardware issue.Adobe is paralyzing professional creators who bring them content and profit. Fix this bug immediately, escalations to engineering are useless if you just ignore your customers!

On mac: save cloud document → save to projectsOn ipad: Can’t find the file at all. Can’t find the projects either.

How do i access my projects folder from the adobe illustrator app for ipad? Everything online tells me "Open Illustrator on the iPad, then from the Home screen, tap Projects in the left pane to view your existing projects." but there is no projects folder on the left side of my Adobe Illustrator window on the ipad. The left side of my AI home screen on my ipad only says "Home, Learn, DIscover, Your files, Shared with you," and, "Deleted." I have the most updated version. Does anyone have any suggestions for troubleshooting please? I can see the “Projects” section under my files on the desktop version and I have files in the project folders, I just can’t see anything about projects on my home screen or in the files section of my Illustrator for the ipad app. Thank you! 

Anyone know how to smooth a path in illustrator for iPad ? On the desktop version you can run the pencil tool over a path and it will edit and smooth a path....does the iPad app have an equivalent since running the pencil over just creates a new path...

I've been trying to access my illustrator. I've uninstalled it, restarted my iPad, signed in and out of my accounts, cancelled my payment and then started it again. I checked if my iPad needed a software update but it doesn't and nothing has worked. This would happen multiple times but it usually resolves itself once I press restore purchase. I really need to be able to access my files. I know I am signing into the right account because I cscan access creative cloud and it has the correct files saved that I've been working on. Please help me out and it doesn't matter if I'm connected to WiFi or hotspot. 

Illustrator for Ipad crashes when trying to open a file, creating a new file etc. Have restarted the Ipad , deleted and reinstalled the app, switched off apple pencil, checked for available storage etc. Nothing helps. How can i get qualified help to get the app running again? Many thanks in advance // Johannes

Since updating IOS on iPad mini adobe crashes every time a create a new page. According to the app store, I have the latest version of Adobe illustrator for iPad installed. I have tried uninstalling it reinstalling it still having the problem. I turned on and off my iPad several times still every time I go into Adobe illustrator and open it and select create a new page. It shows the wheel spinning then it just crashes and I just see the homepage of my iPad and it does it over and over again   Here is the latest analytic data here

I’m adding fonts to Illustrator iPad using Adobe fonts and I’d say about 1 in 5 don’t work. Most of them add fine, but a few of them, I can see them on Desktop Illustrator, I can see them in Photoshop iPad, but Illustrator iPad for some reason doesn’t work. In the picture attached , on the bottom, it is fine in photoshop, but on the top - I went on to the desktop version, set the font then tried to open the file on my iPad.I feel like at this point I have tried everything. Logged out and in, restarted the app, re-installed the app, restarted the device, on the adobe fonts website removed the font, added the font, removed, added, removed, added…. I cannot search for the missing fonts in the illustrator app by name, they don’t appear in the in-app library of adobe fonts. I am really struggling with out the CC app with out most the fonts just seem to work, and some do not want to be added to Illustrator iPad, yet work fine in Photoshop.

I draw comics for kids and my works are published in Bengali kids magazine. I recently bought iPad to improve my workflow only to be disappointed that I can not  paint my comics with paint bucket tool that I have been using in desktop version for last 5 years. This is very annoying and switching between desktop and iPad complicates my workflow now. I am sometimes regretting my decision to invest in iPad. Any word of comfort? A sample of work has been attached so that you can get a feel of my line.

I hope adobe start focusing on basic things and stop showing off stupid AI stuffs.    It's been a week and adobe illustarator is crashing every now and then which is causing issue in lose of work and time and adobe still haven't bothered to release a fix after a week.    Everything works fine in Adobe photoshop, the issue is just with illustrator, PLEASE FIX THIS THING.    [abuse removed by moderator]

There’s growing evidence that points that Adobe intends to quietly ditch Illustrator on the iPad. An app from a company this large does not stay this buggy, this unstable, and this incapable of opening or executing basic tasks from its own desktop files by accident. “Updates” continue to roll out, yet core issues remain unresolved for years, suggesting maintenance theater rather than real development. At some point this starts looking like intentional neglect, and I’m sick of this shit.

Hello,I frequently have more than one Illustrator doc open at a time as I'm usually copying/moving elements from one file to another. This is easy to do on desktop with the ability to have multiple tabs open within the application, but impossible on iPad. When I try to do split screen, I just receive a message that multiple windows are not supported. Please have this functionality added to the iPad app.

Hey,my app doesnt work, its freezing everytime. I tried to deinstall and install it again. I'm logging into with Adobe-ID. I tried everything that came up into my mind but nothing fixed the problem. Can someone pls help me with find a way to solve this problem 🙂

I have scale stroke and effects turned on, but when resizing, say, a triangle with rounded corners, the corners do not maintain scale relevant to the triangles size. They instead maintain their original size. Is there a way to scale an object 100 percent, including corners, stroke, and effects? 

Is there any way to add a bleed and crop marks within the Illustrator iPad app?

Hi, I have recently got Illustrator on my iPad and struggling with resizing, currently, I cannot skew the image when resizing (or ever)  as a locked constraint icon appears, see picture. As you can see I don't have the touch (shift) down so I should be able to skew as required. 

Hello,I have an Adobe ID for Business account which allows me to access all applications on my laptop without any problem.I would like to draw on my iPad (with the "mobile" apps), but when I connect to the apps (Fresco or illustrator or photoshop)  with my Adobe ID, I get the following error message: "Access required - This account does not have access to a sync storage location. Use another account."Do you know if it's normal not to be able to access apps without storage space? Thank you in advance for your help !
