I am working on an art book and need to place photos that have been specifically segregated in an album. ID 2025, Mac Sequoia - only the main photo library is accessible. Is there a way to make the albums accessible? I have given ID full disk access.Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

Bonjour la communauté francophone. Je sèche depuis plusieurs heures sur un problème qui ne me semble pourtant pas si compliqué. Je dois faire un livre qui contient le scénario d'une pièce de théâtre en allemand que je dois importer sur les pages gauches du livre, et sa traduction en français que je dois importer en vis-à-vis, sur les pages droites du livre.J'ai bien lu qu'il "suffisait" de créer un gabarit sur lequel on rajoute simplement un bloc texte sans le lier sur la page gauche et sur la page droite, de retourner sur la page avec ce gabarit et de faire importer en n'oubliant de rester appuyer sur la touche majuscule. J'ai essayé 150 fois avec toutes les variantes possibles, rien à faire. Au mieux, le texte en allemand se déverse des pages gauches aux pages droites en créant le nombre de pages nécessaires, au pire, il me créé un bloc texte sans aucun lien et je dois rajouter les liaisons à la main. Comme je suis appelé à refaire ce genre d'exercice, j'aimerais bien

I have a grid of image frames in an InDesign document. If I select multiple frames and try and place the same image into all of them, InDesign just places the image into one frame and leaves the others blank. How do I place the same one image, mulktiple times into multiple boxes?

Hello!This seems to be a new feature, at least I have only noticed it in version 20.5. The related website https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/using/export-import-user-settings-indesign.html doesn't tell what is actually exported. For me, it would be important to have a backup of my settings, such as:- Workspace - Keyboard shortcut set(s)- Find/Change queries- The general ID prefs- Added scriptsPractically all what's important in the "C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\InDesign\Version 20.0\en_US" folder. Is that fulfilled by this feature?

Hi!I need to create a book for an Architects' Conference due in 3 days, and it would be nice if it looked good on mobile phones. The problem is that I can create the 10-page Table of Contents in InDesign, but I already have an A4 PDF for the rest, which is also 1,500 pages. I don't have time to design the interior in InDesign; I have to use it as is. The Table of Contents will have links to the internal articles. How do I combine the two files? Is this possible? I'd like to at least make the Table of Contents look good on mobile phones or adapt it to the size, but I don't know if that can be done in PDF format. Can I design the Index or Table of Contents with Liquid Layout? Epub is not universal to all people in the Conference so it is not an alternative. I know this is a lot of information, and maybe I'm not entirely clear about it. Sorry, English isn't my first language. Perhaps there are other options,  that I do not have in mind. Any ideas, tips, or options? Any

Os professores nos enviam o conteúdo em Microsoft Word, e precisamos consolidar todo esse material no InDesign. Grande parte desses documentos contém equações e fórmulas. Atualmente, uso o plugin MathType no Word para converter essas fórmulas, já que o InDesign não é regular como fórmulas do Office Math. No entanto, mesmo com o MathType, algumas fórmulas apresentam bugs ou não são convertidas corretamente. Estamos buscando uma forma mais prática, confiável e usual de integrar essas fórmulas do Word para o InDesign, sem perda de qualidade ou necessidade de ajustes manuais extensivos. Gostaríamos de saber se a Adobe oferece algum recurso, plugin ou fluxo de trabalho recomendado para lidar com documentos complexos que incluem muitas equações matemáticas.Agradeço desde já pela atenção.

Ich habe ein Problem beim Öffnen meiner Indesign Datei. Ich habe ziemlich viel Arbeit da rein gesteckt. Jetzt lässt sie sich nicht mehr öffnen.  Error Code 6: Could not complete your request because of a database error.Fehlercode: 6 - Datenbankfehler Die Meldung hängt anbei. Ich nutze Mac M3 Pro unter MacOS Sequoia 15.6.1 und Indesign 2025 20.5 Andere Datei lassen sich öffnen. Die Datei habe ich bereits auf meinem Schreibtisch gespeichert und umbenannt.  Kann jemand versuchen, die Datei zu öffnen und als IDML zu speichern?

Hi,   I am having issues with InDesign. It is constantly freezing for a minimum of 10 minutes before it unfreezes. Sometimes it stays frozen for a lot longer and has to be closed via task manager. Hi,I have a very long document in Excel which I have copied into a table in Indesign. In each cell there are a list of words with hyperlinks. I need to make sure every word has its own hyperlink in Indesign. Considering it's a more than 100 pages document, is there a fast way to do this instead of copy-pasting each single url?Below it's an image of how the cells look on Excel and on Indesign. Thank you!

When I purchased InDesign, I suddenly started getting popups on Acrobat saying I needed to buy Acrobat. Is it possible to use the free version of Acrobat while using the paid version of InDesign? If so, how can I disable the popup so it's useable? (I discovered one workaround - I can use Acrobat in my browser. But it would be more convenient if I could also use the desktop app.)

How do I opt out/avoid/unsee/get rid of/never see again thise rather patronising messages?  If I wanted to collaborate effortly with my editors I'd first show them where the kettle is.I don't think InDesign does that.  

Hello everyone,I've noticed an issue in the latest two InDesign updates — whenever I try to add or edit paragraph or character styles, the program becomes extremely slow or unresponsive.Is anyone else experiencing this? Could this be a bug, or is there a known workaround?Thanks in advance!

Hi all, I've found variations of this but nothing that hits the spot quite as I need. We use InDesign to design and mockup web page and email designs and subsequently pass on the image assets to our developers to build a HTML page with. Some times we cheat image backgrounds extensions with subtle stretches and re-group, so I need the group to export exactly how it appears in InDesign but as a single JPEG. I'd like a shorcut triggered script that exports all selected objects, including grouped ojects, as individual JPEGs at max quality, at a predefined resolution (in this case @15739213, so 144ppi) and be able to define the save location (though straight to Desktop would be good enough). The below script kind of works but it only exports the groups and breaks the groups down in to individual images. I'd love to learn how to edit this to achieve what I need. Good afternoon!  I am currently working in InDesign 13 and would like to know if there is some way to globally change the strike through text DEFAULT option for the width of the strike through line. The perfect world answer would be to change the default so if I open a NEW document OR an EXISTING document - the new default I set would apply. If that is not possible - at least change the default so it applies to everything in the document - not just one text box.  Can anyone help? I'd be much obliged.  BTW, interesting that the strike through option on this Adobe webpage is a standard width that works exactly the way I'd like InDesign to work: strikethru

I have a product catalogue that has hyperlinks applied to each product name so the respective webpage for the product will load if the product name is clicked when viewing the exported pdf. Unfortunately the url's have a strange hidden character that isn't always visible - I have found "^p" sometimes when i copy and paste the url back and forth from notepad - so this may be the character I am looking for. But in acrobat pro when I go in the edit url menu there is a visible space that appears after the product number in the URL.Does anyone know a script that I can run in either indesign or acrobat to search for the character in every single hyperlink in the document to remove the character, The document has several thousand hyperlinks so it's a very tedious job to do one by one.

This is something Ive always wondered about but never actually looked into it till I had to put together a 400 page booklet that my client kept rearranging the pages on me which became a nightmare. So I have a PDF booklet in single 8.5x11 pages + .125" bleeds and crop marks.  I drop the pages into a facing pages InDesign booklet 8.5x11 layout with .125" bleeds so they fit perfectly into the bleed margins.  Generally when doing this, I crop down the inside spine bleed so it doesnt overlay on top of the page next to it.  If you rearrange pages, it throws everything out of wack and you have to go back and fix a ton of bleeds on most other pages.  Is there any way to have InDesign to just know not to bleed one page over to the page next to it if it overlaps the inside spine? I figure that if there is a way to have a facing pages layout but have the spreads spaced apart about a half inch instead of the left and right pages being directly butted up againt each o

Hello! I have been having issues with proofing paid ads using the review links in ID because the links do not get displayes true to size. Paid ads in their nature can be pretty small and my team needs to be able to look at the as true to size to check for legibility copy, and such. The zoom tools at the bottom allow us to zoom in and out but do not display the zoom percetage we are viewing as. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a setting I can turn on to display the zoom %? Can we get the % to display in the review link? Thank you Raquel  

Hi all, I think this is probably a simple solution but I can't find an answer anywhere.I'm using indesign to size photos for our training module which has very specific dimensions and images will not dislplay correctly if they are not, for example 800x800.  I have my page set to the correct dimensions but when exporting as JPEG or PNG the final output dimensions are 1067x1067. The file size is also 3.2mb which seems large for a single image at 96dpi. As a result I've been having to open all of my exports in photoshop and resize and compress which is pretty inefficiant. Is it a settings issue? I'm on Windows 10 if that matters. Export Settings Page Size  Export size/dimensions 

Hello,Is there a way that the Share for Review feature could allow us to only share select pages from a file? I work in InDesign files that typically have over 100 pages, but I only need them to be reviewed 4 pages at a time. It would be much easier for the people reviewing the file if they didn't have to wait for a large file to load, and then scroll through dozens of pages to look at the ones that need reviewing.Thank you!

Hi commnunity. Is there a method to select multiple text on a page, for exaple I have highlighted the text WELCOME, but would like to highlight more text (Underline Red Line) within the paragraph to make these words Bold. I tried holding shift, ctrl, alt, incase it worked, but didnt do the trick. Thank you
