Hello all,I am trying to initialize our old, but still very usable CS6, via the offline Activation feature on our new OS10.10.5 Mac.But am having no luck.The Request Code option doesn't show up after installing the software. (I have a legal serial number) Is it still possible to get a code from Adobe?How can I get our CS6 to work? 

Just uploaded to Indesign 21.0. I copied over MakeBookletScript 2016 but the script is not working. Does anyone know how to fix it or where I can download another script that works? Screen shot attached. Thx.

Not really an issue but I'm just curious – on a Mac when using Cmd+alt+c to fit frame to content in a text box, it usually only adjusts the height of the box to fit the text, but very occasionally it will change the width of the box as well to fit to the longest line of text – anyone know why this happens?

I have made my backgrounds from Photoshop (CMYK colour profile) and imported the .psd file on indesign.When I export my design from Indesign as a jpg it washes out the colour while when I export it in PDF it is fine. I have attached a screenshot of the banner design (on the left is from how it views on PDF and on the right, if I import it as an image into Figma (showing it for client reviews)I mean my only concern is that I don't get the washed out colour when they print it out and I am assuming that since it looks fine on PDF, i hope it is fine when printed? And is it because I am showing a CMYK file in jpeg and imported into a web platform that it looks washed out?I have tried to test it out a bunch of times:exporting the actual background from Photoshop as a jpeg and importing it into Powerpoint, Figma to see how it looks like and it kept the rich dark colourBut when I do add the photoshop backgrounds on InDesign and export as jpeg - colour washes out.****Thank you! Hi everyone,I’m experiencing an issue with Adobe InDesign 21.0 and XML mapping. After opening my file in the new version, my tags — which previously had assigned colors in an earlier InDesign version — still appear with their colors in the Tags panel, but the colors no longer display in the layout after mapping.In the Structure panel, I can see the mapped text and image areas, but they appear as simple text fields without the colored tags that would help me identify them easily. This makes it difficult to verify which tags are applied where. I even tried reassigning new colors to the tags, but nothing changed, the colors still don’t show in the layout.Has anyone found a way to fix it?Thanks for any guidance!

J'ai réalisé une présentation d’un livre avec photos et textes conçue avec Adobe InDesign 21.0 version 2025 avec : 1 Page de couverture seule, Puis des pages se faisant facePuis, j’ai exporté la maquette en pdf. J’ai Adobe Acrobat DC gratuit Quand j’ouvre mon document sur mon ordinateur, la maquette apparait comme elle est sur Indesign : page de couverture seule, puis pages se faisant face. Mon mari a un mac, macOS Sonoma 14.5 et  Adobe Acrobat DC.Quand il ouvre  le pdf  de la maquette sur son ordinateur, les pages se décalent : la page de couverture fait face à la page 1, ect.Est-ce que quelqu'un aurait une idée sur la cause du problème ? C'est très gênant, car je n'ose pas envoyer la maquette à des éditeurs, ne sachant pas comment le pdf apparaitra...Meric de votre aide  

Lately since the the most recent Indesign update, I've been having a lot of trouble getting the application to actually close. I can still click everything else and run files and make edits etc, but when I want to close the application nothing happens. I also turned on "Reset preferences on quit" but that didn't really help. Anyone know how to fix this? 

Hello everyone,I hope you’re doing well.I previously had an InDesign file saved in my Adobe Cloud storage, but now I can’t find it anymore — not even in the deleted files or trash folder. I’ve already checked my Creative Cloud web files, the Sync folder, and the Deleted section, but the file is still missing.Is there any way to recover or locate a lost cloud file that does not appear in the trash?Any guidance or support would be greatly appreciated.Thank you in advance.

 I am trying to insert a blank Frame into my table so I can fake wrap the text inside the table around the image which is in the main frame (there are several tables, as well as an introductory text, so I cannot just insert the image into the table). The blank frame gets ignored by the first line of text. With the other images I put the anchor inside the heading, so it didn't matter, but the is no 0 Line inside the table.

Un message d’erreur s’affiche :« La cause possible de l’échec est présente sur la planche avec le numéro de page "X" » Le numéro de page indiqué varie selon le fichier ouvert, et je n’ai pas d’autres infos.Même avec un fichier vierge, le même message d’erreur apparaît.J’ai effectué la mise à jour 2026 et le problème est survenu depuis. I have just updated to 20.5 but there is still not fixed bug with new menu option and shortcut (View-Preview on CPU/GPU).I'v been using Shift+E for my own action, but now I'm not able to overwrite it. Everytime I assign shortcut and restart, it is back to default. It cant be assigned to different item.    

The C++ SDK does contain relevant documentation, butFor example IKBSCSetsManager::KBSCArea IShortcutManager::GetShortcutKBSCArea() I don't know how to operate the IKBSCSetsManager. How do I obtain the interface?

Can Flex Layout work across multiple pages?

Heyo Community members,I was about to try this new function for the first time. The PDF I'm using is small enough, has only one page, but also several images and text – this already seems to be too much, because before the conversion is even complete, the program simply crashes. I've tried different small-sized PDFs as well, some seem to work, some don't. They've all been created recently and aren't protected or anything – is there an important step I'm forgetting or is it probably just a matter of time until the function is working properly? (Which would be further proof that Adobe should take more time to thoroughly review programs before launching them prematurely...)Has anyone else experienced this issue?

I'm interested in using Math Expressions to produce school books with a large number of formulas, but it just generates the math expression with one typeface only, and I really need them to be in different styles, Does anyone know how to change it?There is any command to be insert in the MathML code.I'm using a simple code here for fractions:   Thank you for your help. <links removed-kglad>

Hello everyone,This is my first message here, so bear with me :-). I have an annoying problem and was wondering if anyone else experiences the same. When I'm working in InDesign my indicator mouse freezes/is not visible every time I move from one page to the other. So I am within a text frame for instance on one page doing a correction and when I move on to the next page my indicator is sort of frozen. When I do Command-tab twice (switching to another program like Acrobat or Finder and back to InDesign again) the indicator mouse is there again. Also in Photoshop: if I open an image (from InDesign-links panel or from Finder) and want to change resolution for instance, I can tab-move between the fields, but the indicator mouse is not visible so I cannot tick a box like Resampling. Have not tried Illustrator yet. I have a Wacom One pen mouse, my MacBook Pro 2021 has macOS Sequoia on it, Adobe apps are up-to-date. My first thought was to upgrade my computer, apps &

Does the new AI-powered InDesign have the option to change a linked color photo to a black and white or duotone version? Before, there was a very good plugin called Color2Gray to do that. Thanks a lot.     <Title renamed by MOD>

Liebe Community, mein InDesign stürzt immer ab, egal, ob ich eine neue Datei erstelle, diese später öffne oder eben eine Alte. Updates sind alle auf dem neusten Stand. Wisst ihr, woran das liegen könnte? Den Mac habe ich auch schon neu gestartet. Das Problem bleibt bestehen. Falls sich eine Datei doch kurz öffnen lässt, schließt sich InDesign sofort nach irgendeiner Tätigkeit... Es ist zum Verzweifeln.

How to select a set of shortcuts in a script

Hiya, I have a script I'm designing to automatically apply certain preferences (page size, orientation, etc) to meet in-house styling requirements. For each paragraph style, I have a function to add the paragraph style with the preferred font, font style, point size, etc. For example, here's part of one of the functions: //add table text paragraph stylefunction addTableTextPS(){    tableTextPS = myDocument.paragraphStyles.add({name: "table text"});    //font style    tableTextPS.appliedFont = "Arial";    tableTextPS.fontStyle = "Regular";    tableTextPS.pointSize = 9;    tableTextPS.leading = 10.5;     //and so on...} The last thing I'm missing, which is actually one of the most critical features, is the shortcut definition for each of the paragraph styles - without setting the shortcuts, sadly, the script will be useless. I'm currently working on a poetry book layout and I came up with this struggle:I have some long lines that don't fit in a single line and (without changing paragraph) and I'd like to have all of those extra lines automatically being right justified.I tried using nested line style, but I only manage to apply a different Character Style (not a paragraph one) on the second line.Is there a way to achieve what I need without having to manually format every "exceeding line"? To say it in other words I need to have all lines longer than the text box right justified.I hope I was clear enough (if not sorry, english is not my mother tongue).

I'm not really sure how to ask or word it. I'm making a photobook for class and I decided to do a Japanese stab binding method for it. Of course, this means I cant print normal 2up saddle stitch, so I need a margin in the paper for the spine and I've marked it out in the image. Splitting the image is the only thing that makes sense to make it work, but I was wondering if there was any specific way I can maybe do it without splitting the image in two? Like having it 8x8 facing pages but when printing add an extra inch but only the inner part, I guess.
