When cropping an HDR Panorama using two displays, the full image is not shown correctly in my secondary display. My primary display will show the full panorama, but when I try to crop it the secondary display erratically shows white space where there should be imagery. If I make crops, the secondary display will update (slowly), but continue to show white space. This white space seems to mimic the boundary of the original panorama. I recently upgraded from a 2019 iMac to a 2023 M2 Max Studio with 96gb ram. The problem used to occur on my iMac and I was hoping that the new powerful machine would make a difference. It didn't. I'm using MacOS Ventura 13.5 and LR 12.5. But this issue also occured on my 2019 iMac, using different OS and different LR Classic versions. I have two external monitors. The one I'm using with LR is a 4k display. The other monitor I use is an old Apple Thunderboldt display (2560 x 1440). I tried using that as my LR secondary display, but the iss
On Windows, when you paste multi-line text into an osFactory:edit_field with height_in_lines = 1, all but the first line is discarded. But this doesn't happen when you paste more than two lines into an edit field with height_in_lines = 2 -- all the lines are preserved. Nor does the bad behavior occur on Mac. The Windows behavior of height_in_lines = 1 is inconsistent with height_in_lines = 2 and with Mac height_in_lines = 1. This bug affects my Any Filter plugin's user interface -- it's important for users to be able to paste in multiple lines of text into an edit_field that for UI design purposes should otherwise be one line high: The script below illustrates the problem. I've attached screen recordings of running it on Windows and Mac. local LrBinding = import "LrBinding" local LrDialogs = import "LrDialogs" local LrFunctionContext = import "LrFunctionContext" local LrView = import "LrView" local bind = LrView.bind local f = LrVi
Converting .DNG to .DNG files creates new files with lowercase ".dng" extension instead of ".DNG" extension, even if file extension in modal is set to "DNG". Reproduced by trying to convert photos that were already in DNG format, e.g. from Leica Q2 or Leica M11. This previously worked fine in past versions of Lightroom Classic. This is also a problem because the new files get different createdAt and modifiedAt timestamps in apple finder, which is undesirable. Operating System: Mac OS 15.3.1 Lightroom Classic version:
Canceling an export to JXL can sometimes crash Lightroom. To reproduce in LR 14.1.1 / Mac OS 15.2: 1. Download and open this catalog: https://www.dropbox.com/s/64jcxpwzpmyrmlp/cancel-export-bug.2025-01-24.zip?dl=0 2. Import the Export preset "To Catalog as JXL.lrtemplate" stored in the catalog folder. 3. Arrange Finder to show next to LR the subfolder cancel-export-bug/Desktolp/test-pics/jxl. 3. Select the two photos. 4. Right-click the first photo and do Export > To Catalog As JXL. 5. Wait until the first exported .jxl appears in the folder and immediately click the Export cancel button before the second .jxl appears. LR will often crash. 6. If it doesn't crash, delete the one or two .jxls from the folder and repeat steps 4-6. I've submitted several crash reports under my Adobe Id. See the attached screen recording showing the recipe.
Trimmed Duration in the Video tagset of the Metadata panel is blank until you delete <catalog>Helper.lrdata and restart LR (i.e. another caching bug). To reproduce on LR 14.1.1 / Mac OS 14.6.1: 1. Make a new catalog. 2. Import the attached video. 3. In Loupe, trim the video to one second long. 4. In the Metadata panel's Video tagset, observe that Trimmed Duration is blank: 5. Restart LR and observe Trimmed Duration is still blank. 6. Exit LR and in the catalog folder, delete <catalog>Helper.lrdata. 7. Restart LR and observe that Trimmed Duration now correctly shows the duration:
The Update AI Settings command doesn't alway work correctly when the application of the Adaptive Color profile needs updating ("the red dot"). This affects those who need to delete corrupt .lrcat-data files (which still happens occasionally). To reproduce on LR 14.2 / Mac OS: 1. Download and open this catalog, which has one raw in it: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/r9blhcvehwwi7vw9hyg3t/update-adaptive-bug.2025.02.14.zip?rlkey=y7vm86wc0fivb00o487iy6y7t&dl=0 2. Open the photo in Develop, set Profile to Adaptive Color, and observe the photo is much better exposed: 3. Exit LR and delete <catalog>.lrcat-data from the catalog folder. 4. Restart LR. Observer there is a red dot next to Basic, the Update button appears, and the effective of the profile is no longer visible (as expected): 5. Click the Update button, see the "Analyzing" bezel briefly appear, but observe there is no change to the photo, the Update butt
In LR 14.2, the help window shows the wrong shortcut for Cycle Overlay Mode in Polish: It should be H. W (H, h): 266 Develop Module > Remove > Cycle Overlay ($$$/AgDevelop/Dust/CycleOverlay/Shortcut, $$$/AgDevelop/Menu/View/ToolOverlay/NeverShow/Key)
When I try to view the backup settings in the catalog settings, the backup detail window with the list of existing backups does not work properly. It is not resized correctly, and if I widen the column to view, for example, the path or full name of the file, the columns go haywire and disappear. They are not limited in their movements. The attached video explains it better. The same thing happens when checking the list of files undergoing download or upload during synchronization in the iCloud sync info. I have already tried reinstalling Lightroom Classic, even deleting preferences and with a new catalog, but the interface problem persists. I don’t know how to solve it anymore.
I have never used snapshots before but with the recent inclusion of the Adaptive Color profile are started adding one to gauge the differences against other profiles. The process I followed is make the required changes to a photo and click the + in the Snapshots dropdown. But when I click the snapshot listed under the dropdown, even before making any other changes to the photo, the photo updates with increased exsposure and looks washed out. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?
I just upgraded to 14.2 and am already regretting it, just found a new major bug. On M1 MacbookPro, when using the crop tool, it works as expected with both GPU disabled, and when NOT in Soft Proofing mode. As soon as you enter Soft Proofing and use the crop tool, it does not update live like it used to, you have to re-crop by basically cropping "blind" as the display does not update until you let go of the mouse, making it 100% unusable. I was about to downgrade my catalog and lose a bunch of work, but thankfully I realized that it is only broken in Soft Proofing mode now, so at least I can crop when it's off, in 13.x this used to not be this way, crop would work normally in any mode! Please fix this bug in the next update, I really, really hate it when things that used to work just break for no reason! Ok now I just tried to do some masking in Soft Proofing mode, totally broken there too, moving sliders result on 30+ second beach balls to update on screen. Total Fail Adob
Lightroom Classic version 14.4.1; macOS 15.2. Open a catalog with images that have a shutter speed of 0.3 sec or longer; alternatively import such an image. From Library Module activate the the Library Filter, click Metadata and change one of the columns to show the Shutter Speed. Select a value that's 0.3 or more. (I think any value that is not formatted as a fraction will show the bug.) The matching images are displayed. Click one of them. In the Metadata panel the Shutter Speed value is blank, rather than showing the value from the Library Filter.
In Lightroom Classic 14.2, when I try to select the background color (Background Color) in the Develop module, the "Light Gray" option is incorrectly translated into Polish as "Jasnozielony" (which means "Light Green"). The correct translation should be "Jasny Szary" (Light Gray).Best regards, Paweł Słowikwww.slowik.eu
W module Mapa jest zle przetłumaczona opcja w Filtr lokalizacji "Usunięto znacznik" a powinno być "Nie oznaczone"English: In the Map module, there is a mistranslated option in Location filter "Marker removed" and it should be "Not marked"
There seems to be a bug with the "Copy History Step Settings to Before" option in the History panel. For example, in the Develop module, when viewing a photo with no edits, toggling between the Before and After views should show no difference — so far, so good. However, if you select the "Import" step in the History panel and choose "Copy History Step Settings to Before," then toggle between Before and After, you may notice unexpected color differences. Additionally, if you apply "Auto Settings" in the Basic adjustments panel and try to use "Copy History Step Settings to Before" on that step, it simply doesn’t work. Why? I'm using Lightroom Classic 14.2 on Windows 10.
Hi, In the latest Lightroom Classic 14.2 update, there is a translation issue in the Catalog Settings and Backups section in the Polish version. Both the Remove and Delete buttons are translated as Usuń, which can be very confusing. I believe it would be clearer if: Remove was translated as Usuń or Usuń z listy (Remove from the list) Delete was translated as Skasuj (to emphasize permanent deletion) This distinction would make it easier for users to understand the difference between these actions. Thank you for your attention to this issue! Best regards,Paweł Słowikwww.slowik.eu
W Polskim tlumaczeniu znajduję sie błąd w słowie "Przesłona" powinno byc "Przysłona"w Polsce uzywamy słowa Przysłona w fotografiiTen sam błąd jest w Lightroom CC
I saw in the recent updates that this was fixed, but it isn't for me. I go to "Email photo," the "Apple Mail 1Photo" dialog opens. I used to be able to just click SEND and it would create an e-mail in Apple Mail. Now the "Preparing file for E-mail" counter counts down, but nothing makes it to e-mail. With or without an e-mail address filled in. Any ideas? Mac 10.15.7 Email 13.4. Thanks!
Hi,this is a bug on current and on some older versions of LR.1) have a LR on Windows 11 (NTFS) which contains directories with special characters in their names. In this text I will use as an example directory named "Juraj Porträts", containing 58 pictures.Other german special characters like "ü" or slovak "á" apply as well. 2) in the Folders panel, right click the folder "Juraj Porträts" anddo Export This Folder As A Catalogexport catalog on ExFAT formatted USB-stick.3) import it on macos (M1, APFS).This works flawelessly.4) edit pictures in LR, in Photoshop, delete them, save metadata in files. This works flawelessly.5) right-click on "Juraj Porträts" and pick "synchronise folder":LR will suggest to "import new photos (58)" AND "remove missing photos from catalog (58)"6) hit "synchronise".58 photos will be removed from catalog and the very same 58 photos will be added to catalog.7) Lightroom catalog will contain 2 (two) folders named "Juraj Porträts". One of
When you're running LR on a network that has a high network latency to Google's map servers, the Map module can display a map that's all grey. Such latencies could arise with slow satellite links and/or with ISPs that have slow paths to Google's servers. This behavior likely accounts for the recent spate of German, French, and Chilean users seeing an all-grey Map. This misbehavior can be reproduced consistently on LR 14.2 / Mac OS 15.3.2 using Apple's Network Link Conditioner, which adds latencies to your computer's current network connection. Recipe: 1. Install Apple's Network Link Conditioner: a. If Xcode is not already installed, install it from the App Store. b. Download "Additional Tools For Xcode 16.3": https://developer.apple.com/download/all/ c. Double-click the downloaded .dmg to open it. d. In the Hardware folder, double click "Network Link Conditioner.prefPane" to install it as a pane in System Settings. 2. In System Settings > Network Link Conditione

The shadows in the slideshow module are not working as expected for me. LR Classic 14.2. Sequoia 15.3.2, 5K iMac (Intel). When I create a slide show with a background and the make a shadow with the photos and use an angle of -45, the shadow moves towards the top of screen. However when I export that slide to a jpeg the shadow is projected towards the bottom of the screen. Finally when I use a text overlay with shadows of the text, the -45 degree angle makes a shadow falling towards the bottom of the screen and that behavoir is consistent on the export. I have attached a screenshot from the creation of the slide and the slide output. Screenshot from LR Classic Export of jpeg from Slideshow mode
Since the last update 14.0..1 my copy and paste is not working as it used to. I can now only past once and if i want to paste same settings which were copied I have to recopy the settings again to past onto another image. Saw some people have simiir issues. I tried to reset prefrences but that did not work. in the past I copy as setting of one photo and paste to other photos as long as I needed it , now that does not work for me anymore.
Across our large scale enterprise network, we're receiving reports from users of LrC crashing when they click the 'Export' option (File -> Export). I'm unsure what's causing this. We run a proxy on our infrastructure, and all of the necessary Adobe Endpoints have been whitelisted per this whitepaper - https://helpx.adobe.com/au/enterprise/kb/network-endpoints.html Is there anything I'm missing here? It works for users when they take their devices home/if they hotspot. Wiresharks are not coming up with anything specific Adobe LrC 14.2 Windows 11 and Windows 10 computers affected
