Lightroom Classic

Hi!I have not used LR for the last two years. My LR catalogue contains 200.000 photos and I desperatly want to see and handle these photos.I started the Photography plan 2013. I have Windows 10 and my hardware doesn't allow me to update to Windows 11.Today I logged in on my Adobe ID. When I click the latest LR catalogue the  question on trial comes. Why trial, I have payed since 2013!I am scared to update to the latest LR version since my old computer hardware may not be compatible.I really likes LightRoom and it's a perfect way to get an overview of my photos and make collections. I can't handle my photos without LR.Please, can anyone advice me how to proceed? RegardsLotta from Sweden

Hey y'all! I work across a bunch of different catalogs as an event photographer. About a month ago I started facing an issue where LrC won't open a new catalog on my system unless I reboot the computer fully. In practice, that means I have to reboot the computer any time I'm trying to switch between projects. I don't receive an error message - LrC just never launches. Any thoughts? Windows 10 64 bit - could this be a windows 10 issue? Should I just update to 11 with support life cycle ending this yearLrC 14.5.1

I am unable to save preference changes - I suspect the "Done" button is at the very bottom of some page, which I can't get to as the page can only be moved up a couple of cm.This is on an HP laptop, 15" screen

Hi there.  I have used LR Classic for years. I am on a PC laptop. I have LR verson 14.5..1 Yesterday evening, I closed the lid to my laptop and left for church. When I came back, Lightroom was shut down and would not load. I rebooted, tried again. Nothing. I uninstalled, rebooted, then installed again from the Creative cloud.  Rebooted, then tried to load.  Nothing. A mentor advised to delete a .LCK file. Did that. rebooted. Still nothing. I really need to have LR working as I'm working on an album which is due before next week. Please help!

My last post got flagged for spam so hopefully this goes through.       I am experiencing a wierd bug where whenever I try to use the denoise tool on my photos, the box gets a checkmark like it's going to process the image, but then it just quickly unchecks itself without giving me any kind of error message. I've tried eliminating all the easy fixes that I could think of. Whenever I restart lightroom, the denoise tool will make more progress but only really lasts a few more second before it stops itself without giving me an error message. I'm running the 14.5.1 version of lightroom on my sequoia 15.7.1  2020 mac book pro with well over the ram requirements. I am editing cannon raw files with no other edits made to them before attempting to denoise. I tried resetting lightrooms preferences, turning the denoise tool on and off, and even creating a new photo catalog. Nothing has fixed the issue and my workflow has been completely disrupted. I've encountered an issue in Lightroom Classic (version 14.1.1) on Mac OS 15.2.0 when using the \ key to toggle between edited and unedited states of a photo. After importing an .xmp file with previously saved edits into the RAW folder and syncing the metadata, the \ key no longer displays the original, unedited version of the photo as it did before.Below are the detailed steps to reproduce the issue, along with the expected behavior and what actually happens. I have LRc v14.5.1 running & iPhone 15 Pro w/iOS 26 (previously iOS 18) with a high-speed data USB C cable (I've used different ones actually).It is running on a Win11 PC w/i9 14gen CPU & 4070 GPU w/32gig data on Samsung 9100 SSD.I have a large number of photos (7000) that I wanted to import into LRc.I ran it many times in iOS 18 but LRc failed and sometimes just died.I tried it again (several times) in iOS 26 and it each time LRc just failed and died. Now each time it importanted a few some number of pictures. (anywhere from 500 to 1500) before it died. It gave No error report, nothing, just closed itself down. Is there anyway to do a simple import directly from a iPhone of a large number of files?

Hallo zusammen, ich habe seit einigen Wochen ein Problem mit der Backup-Funktion in Lightroom. Die Software versucht einmal pro Woche, ein Backup zu erstellen, doch es kommt immer die gleiche Fehlermeldung: „Andere Sicherungsordner auswählen“. Ich habe bereits verschiedene Ordner ausgewählt und sichergestellt, dass ich die nötigen Berechtigungen habe, aber das Problem bleibt bestehen. Wenn ich die Option „Erneut versuchen“ wähle, erscheint die Meldung wieder, und ich kann kein Backup durchführen. Ich habe auch versucht, Lightroom neu zu starten und die Voreinstellungen zurückzusetzen, aber das hat nicht geholfen. Hat jemand ähnliche Erfahrungen gemacht oder Vorschläge zur Lösung des Problems? I'm trying to do tethered capture with my Canon R8 in Lightroom Classic. However, LR recognizes the camera and displays a preview on the screen. Only when I click on the photo does it not save to the folder I selected, and the photo doesn't appear on my computer screen either. I'm using the recommended cable. Lightroom is giving me a ton of errors. Over the past couple of weeks, its gotten progressively slower and slower. To the point where I am sitting here on Wednesday and Sunday's wedding is STILL importing, and I've shot 3 clients since then that are waiting to be uploaded and backed up - I need these images off my cards.   I'm using LRC on a PC, and just upated to the latest version as of October 7, 2025.   When I right click an image, the meny takes almost a full minute or two to pop up.  When I use syncronize settings (lets say, to apply the same exposure to a set of photos), it takes forever to give me options.     I have my catalogue synched to LR. Edited a whole set of photos on LR Mac only to find that LRC can't see them.   For lack of better explanation - it is like LRC is constipated.    I've updated my NVIDIA to the most recent studio, GPU is on I hit CTRL ALT DELETE and turned Lightroom's priority to High   300GB free on my PC... &

Hi everyone: I'd like to upgrade my storage to a 2 bay RAID (6TB each bay) setup to store RAW files and act as a backup. I'm a serious amateur, 79/Z lenses, about 77,000 images, about 2TB of storage required, I've attached a couple of recent images for fun (not relevent to this inquiry).  I've seen quite a few hardware options from Synology, Sandisk, WD, etc and read a bunch of reviews but hoped that some members here might have some real world experience and could recommend a brand/model that is fast and reliable. I'l less price sentive I was good, not cheap. Thanks in advance for any help you might to offer. Colin  

I've seen many posts/tutorials suggesting that increasing the size of the camera raw cache is beneficial to performance. Mine is currently set to 30gb but never seems to grow above 10gb even during a heavy editing session.Curious if anyone else who increased the cache size has seen the increase approach the limit they set? 

Bonjour , je ne sais pas exactement depuis quand mais surement depuis la dernière mise à jour la réduction du bruit par IA ne marche plus . Cela me donne une image en noir et blanc parsemée de couleur voir capture d'écran ci dessous  . J ai aussi essayé la fonctionnalité super résolution qui me fait des bandes de pixels noir sur la photo également mais beaucoup plus discret . Il y a t il une raison pour ce problème ?  ( je vous mets également les infos sur mon PC en capture d'écran ) 

Hi, I have just bought the machine above.  I am very disappointed with its performance with Lightroom CC.  I was previously running Lightroom CC on a 7 year old HP Envy and can not really see much of a difference in the performance of either machine.  Any tips would be most appreciated... thank you... Hey All Can anyone help?I have just moved from intel mac mini to M4 mac mini, I used migration assistance and have only realised this is the wrong way to do things! I have only just noticed my Creative Cloud App is not running so went to open it and its saying I need to install something called Rosetta which is for intel macs? I don't want to do that and I understand I need to re-install Creative Cloud App for M4 chips and then re-download my Lightroom and Photoshop etc that is optimised for Apple. Which order is best to do this as I don't want to have to install Rosetta?

I'm looking for feedback from users of the GFX-100 and LRC on the Mac and PC. Our office uses a Fuji GFX-100, and we do tethered shooting. We only use tethered shooting, and we're having a VERY hard time on the Mac. We have a Mac Studio Pro running Sequoia and we also have a Macbook Pro M1 and a Macbook Pro M4. Our experience with all of these Macs and LRC is that USB connection is very flaky and unreliable. We get no connection, we get hard crashes, and connections disappearing. We're currently using LRC 13.5.1, because it's the most reliable for us right now. We use it with the Fuji Tethered App. We have tried the latest LRC 14.5.1, both with the Fuji Tethered App and without it (Adobe LRC recently added support for the Fuji GFX100 for tethered shooting. However, again, we have very poor results. Usually it won't connect at all.  Today we tried connecting the Fuji GFX-100 to a Windows 10 desktop and using LRC 14.5.1 in Windows, and it connects straight away. It connect

I just built my own computer and I have windows installed with it. I use a macbook as my portable laptop and since I finally have my PC i want to send over my catalog that started in my macbook to my PC. I am expereiecing the following issues. Please help! I'm having trouble with LRC. It won't let me open my previously opened files if I move them to another disk or folder. I used to be able to do this by renaming the files, but with the new updates, I can't. How can I resolve this issue? The feature ahs been removed with the recent updates 

Good evening, I have a question: the manual noise reduction changes on its own. How can I stop this?

I know others have addressed this issue, but nothing I have tried has worked so far...and many of the posts on this issue are on older versions of software, etc. Here's the issue - trying to print to Epson Stylus Photo 1400 from Lightroom Classic (Ver 12.3).  Running Epson driver version 10.85. Using MacBook Pro 16 inch, running Ventura 13.3.1(a). Each time I try to print, I get the "Filter Failed" error message. I have resintalled the drivers multiple times, reset the printer settings in my System Preferences. Any ideas? 

Hey everybody, Here is a video walkthrough of the issue below.   When I send two photos as layers to Photoshop, one of the photos will lose all of its settings in Lightroom. No more ratings, no more exposure settings, no more masks, nothing.
