Lightroom Classic

I’m working with a number of external drives with various catalogs in them. When working with one drive Alby2 the memory of my MacBook for what appears to be no reason filled up with all the dng into my pictures folder with Files from that drive. As this virtually filled up the 1 tb of memory it stopped my LRC and everything else in the computer. What also has happened that all the files in that drive appear to be disengaged from my hard drive.Spoke with Apple and they helped me remove all the excess files & I put all the dng files onto another drive. Thinking I had resolved it I started looking at my images in the new catalog that I had created from the files that had filled the memory and once again the Mac drive filled up again.  Can someone please help me sort this out as I’m not very technical. 

I have updated the firmware on z8.....i have updated to mac os sequoia 15.6.1.......I have lightroom classic 14.5.1......why ...why do I have to take out my sd card to get it to upload from camera. I have never had this problem in 15 years. I do not like taking my cards in and out of camera and risking corruption. 

In Lightroom the picture looks normal in the library. When I edit it, it looks normal in the develop module. When I look at it (after editing) in the library it is completely ruined. I have included pictures. Please help. 

Hi all, Edited just fine this morning. Come home and tried to launch LRC and get the error saying an error prevented LRC from opening catalog. Read online. Suggests to get rid of the lock file. I do not have a lock file where my LRC catalog is. I have an urgent deadline and need help figuring this out. Please help! Mac OS Sonona 14.4.1 Latest version of LRC

Hi just updated to latest Lightroom classic, 14.5.1  since then if I try to add a mask by selecting subject or background where 1 person is main part of pic... it just won't work, i get a little part of it masking, tried on loads of headshots/bodyshots, no correct masking. Worked perfectly before update... any suggestion please?

Hi, since updating last night my Lightroom Classic, (14.5.1) my masks wont select properly. If I do subject select it basically selects half a subject and the background, if I select background, it masks everything!   Almost like one big mask across the image, rather than how it was pretty perfectly selecting people.  Any idea's anyone please?Deb

Hi Folks, I find it very difficult to adjust the exposure (and other controls) in the develop module using the mouse.  It jumps all over the place even with very small movements of the mouse.  Can someone please tell me if there is a way to get better control over the sliders?  The help files are terrible in this regard and the Internet in general doesn't provide any answers.  Adobe should be ashamed for not making this simpler.  I spend a tremendous amount of time trying to get the exposure adjustment that I am looking for.  Any help is greatly appreciated. Bruce

Hi everybody!I just installed the last LR Classic update 14.51 under W10.And since then I observed that it was not possible to import mp4 files that were previoulsy imported with no pb.I remember that the same case occured in the past from a previous update in 2025. This bug disapered with an update released few weeks after....So what should I do to import theses mp4 files?

Hallo zusammenIch bin verzweifelt, weil Lightroom Classic nicht mehr Personen bzw. Motive erkennen kann über die Maskenfunktion. Leider kenne ich mich technisch nicht so gut aus und habe schon diverse Updates und Neustarts versucht, jedoch kein Erfolg. Kann mir jemand konkret weiterhelfen? Why is my LRC catalogue not showing version 14.5.1 only 13.3 catalogues? how can I get it to 14.5.1. Thanks

I used to be able to quickly skip to the next picture to edit while staying in a brush setting without having to reopen the mask tool again and click on brush and clicking on setting. I am unable to do that now with the new mask update. Have any of you been able to figure out how to quickly go to the next picture while staying in the same brush setting? So when I go to the next picture, it automatically opens the brush tool in the previous setting, instead of having to go through so many steps to open it again for each individual picture. Might seem obvious but I use Lightroom Classic and yet I have 107 gig in the Cloud and I can't for the life of me figure out what it is. It doesn't seem to be from smart previews as those don't seem to make the usage go up.   How can I find out what it is/where it is? I went on adobe.com and found my files but it only shows some pdf scans from the ios scanner app.   [Title changed by moderator for clarity. 'Lightroom CC' is not an abbreviation for Lightroom Classic. It's an old name, officially no longer in use, but still often used for Lightroom desktop, not Lightroom Classic]

I am running Lightroom Classic version 14.4 (build 202506051112-5918896a) on Windows 10. My catalogue is a little over 3.3 Gbytes with about 253,000 images.  I have imported about 5000 photos (mostly DNG files from a Mavic 3 Pro drone plus a handful or CR3 files from a Canon R5). I am now trying to stitch some of the drone shots together using merge->HDR panorama, automatically putting the result and the input images in a stack. After a few minutes, Lightroom Classic starts to slow down. Eventually, even simple things like displaying a menu option can take over a minute.  When I close Lightroom Classic down after it is in this state, the app appears to close correctly but it is still running in the background and it has grabbed a large amount of RAM (128 Gbytes+). Note, I do not select the option to create a backup. Over the next 15 or so minutes, it gradually releases the memory. Until it has released it all, I cannot run Lightroom Classic again. I apologize if this question has been asked and answered before, but here goes:I am using Canon's Professional Print and Layout plug-in from within LR Classic.  That works well, but I have a dilemma:  I print to Red River's greeting cards quite often, and use their very handy templates.  Those templates provide paper size, a slot for the image in the right place, etc.   However, I cannot find a way to use those Red River templates from within the Canon print plug-in.  I see the option to create my own layout, but I would rather not do that, as the templates from Red River work perfectly. Any thoughts on how to access print templates from within the Canon print plug-in from LR Classic?  Thanks!

In the library module there is the text field to find images by filename. I recently imported a properly formatted list of 253 image names into the text field. Again, this was formatted proiperly with no carriage entries and with commas.  Not only is lightroom not able to pull these images (it appears to just disconnect from entire catalog database) but the text field is automatically filled with the same list every time I try to use the text search field. This effectively forces me to quit LR and restart and I have no access to the text filter now.   Any ideas on this?  

I recently noticed that ARW files imported to Lightroom Classic 14.2 from my new Sony A1 ii are not displaying blues correctly and are also looking very washed out. In both library and develop modes the bottom thumbnail scroll is displaying the colors correctly until I select a photo to develop. At that point both the main image and the thumbnail shift towards a very green hue. This isn't happening on any images I'm importing from my A7RV. It is very noticeable on blue sky images. Once the image has been deselected for a few moments, the thumbnail reverts to the correct color.    I dont believe it's the camera causing the issue, as my settings have been double checked and mirror those of the A7RV. Maybe not really a bug, but more a 'lost feature'. I always use export with 'choose folder later'. Lightroom Classic lost a nice featere here. Some versions ago it would show the same folder that was used at the previous export. Very welcome like for re-exporting after some changes and also as start to navigate quickly to a new folder. Now that feature has been lost, which means that we have to navigate the whole folder-tree each time. Can we get this feature back please? Lightroom Classic 13.1Windows 10 Cees

HiI should have asked this years ago, but how can I increase the text size on my interface? Although the preferences box does not show in this attached image, the setting for large is selected, but it doesn't change.

I am on o/s Monteray 12.2.1.  I am stacking photos and blending multiple stacks in Enfuse.  Normally the blended photos are re-imported back into Lightroom.  The photos are apparently being blended but at the end of the blending function I get an error message AgimportSession error message (screenshot attached) saying failed to import.  And I cannot find the blended photos anywhere on my hard drive.  I have checked the Known Errors section and could not find anything on this.   If anyone else has come across this and found a work around I would much appreciate hearing from you.  Thanks.  

I wanted to rotate my image ACW. I tried right click Transform rotate left in the develop modue. After a short while the image flipped back again. I tried using the rotate handles in Grid view, same result. Looking at the History it does not register a transformation.LRC Release 14.5 ACR 17.5Mac os Sequoia 16.6 I tried more than one photo. Guten Abend,  ich versuche bereits den ganzen Tag störende Elemente mittels "Generativem Entfernen KI" aus meinen Bilder zu löschen. Der Versuch klappt, wenn ich jedoch ein Bild weiter gehe, erscheinen die Elemente wieder. Ich muss dann die Einstellungen aktualisieren, die Elemente werden wieder entfernt und ich kann mein Bild weiter bearbeiten. Sobald ich jedoch wieder das Bild verlasse und wieder zuückkehre, erscheinen die Elemente wieder. Ich hab bereits mit und ohne KI probiert, jedesmal das gleiche. Auch meine Masken verschwinden jedes Mal. Nur die Farbbearbeitungen bleiben bestehen. Auch beim Exportieren der Bilder sind alle Elemente wieder im Bild und die Masken gelöscht. Ich hoffe, mir kann jemand helfen. Version 14.3.1, Windows,  Viele Grüße
