Something else I’ve noticed about the denoise function – by the way, I’m really happy with it, especially since it doesn’t create an extra DNG file, which is great for my workflow. Maybe except for the progress window. When I apply it to a photo with a high ISO value of 8000 (using the default denoise value of 50), and then use the AI Remove tool afterward, the noise seems to come back more than in the original photo. This is also when I first use remove and then denoise. Here are the steps with images I follow: This is a standard imported raw file Denoise applied Then I want to remove the yellow line in de upper right corner The line is removed, but there is a strange effect in the place of line now Here under a detail I hope you can see this.

Some how Windows onedrive moved my LRC Catalog to the cloud. I had the Lightroom catalog in my pictures folder. Hello everyone. I have a big issue, when clearing out my laptop, i was deleting a lot of stuff. What I thought was an old backup was my current catalog and i cant recover it. Before this happended all edit were synced to the cloud. My question is if i begin a new catalog and allow it to sync to the cloud, will it pull down all the edits into the new catalog and from there can I just relink the images to the raw images I have.
Hello, I'll give a bit of backstory, explain my dilemma, and describe the fix I'm attempting—but can’t seem to figure out. I set up an ingest/export folder structure for shooting. I’d been using Lightroom Mobile for about 2.5 years, but I was getting annoyed with (1) the speed of the software, (2) the lack of robust features, (3) the cloud storage space being eaten up, and (4) the inability to delete rejects from local storage. So I started using Lightroom Classic, and it solved my qualms with LrM. But unfortunately, about 3.5k images were already in Mobile, many of them edited. I spent weeks trying to figure out how to best move the edits to Classic—into the same 'ingest' folders—while maintaining the edits and knowing which were flagged to keep and which to delete. I went through discussion after discussion and found there was no smart, easy way, so I brute-forced it. I set up empty folders on my local drive and manually copied over the ~3.5k images from the synced 'Collect
Hello, I have been meaning to purchase a new computer for a few years now, as my 2012 iMac 27" just wasn't able to process most functions any longer and certainly not Lightroom 5. I was able to download and install Lightroom 5 onto my new Mac Mini, but when i submitted my serial number to register the product, Adobe rejects it. The application still seems to "function" but I have come to realize it's no longer supported. I wanted to simply migrate my Lightroom catelog from my old iMac to my new Mac Mini and start catching up on the last few years of photos. I'm a hobbyist and mostly just have family photos and sightseeing. I'm not a professional. I just want to be able to use the software I purchased. If i MUST subscribe, I can...but $240/yr for a hobby seems....steep. Seeking any help or assistance from the community on the best way to move foward here. Summary: 1. Old 2012 iMac 27" with LR5 that has thousands of photos. 2. Brand new power
Heard a comment from a respectable photographer that LrC could run into a 'won't run' issue with about 5TB of images referenced, irrespective of the size of the .lrcat file itself. Is this true (I have already exceeded this so worry that I'm on thin ice now)? Or is the limit on previews? Or anything else? Or is this urban legend from someone with a corrupt catalogue?thanks, Bill
I just started using an identity plates to "sign" my work for shows. I use custom text. It works well for landscape orientation -- the text shows up as expected with the baseline near the bottom and reading left-to-right. When I switch to portrait orientation, the text rotates 90 degrees clockwise, so the baseline is along the left edge and it reads top-to-bottom. I can find no way to rotate it back to "normal". Is this a known limitation or am I missing some simple way to have landscape-oriented identity text in a portrait print?
I'm using LR Classic and I'm not seeing the latest features, particularly Remove People and Remove Reflections. I presume this means I need to update? How do I do that. I've seen a link in a previous post to an LR Install site, but I'm concerned to do this incase it affects my catalogues etc. Thanks very much.
It's 2025.07 and this problem still exists. How hard could it be to fix a slideshow feature in the "leading" photo editing software... ?!@Adobe Team - that's not cool.
I just installed LR CC 12.1 on my desktop running Windows 10. I noticed it acting strangely (e.g., not zooming when I clicked on a photo, but then randomly zooming later; masks taking like 10 minutes to pop up, etc.) I finally discovered the pattern - LR is not recognizing many of my left-mouse clicks until I move the cursor out of the LR window. For example, in Develop, when I left-click on the mask tab, it comes up as expected. When I click on the mask type - let's say Radial Mask, it doesn't do anything. It doesn't freeze and I can click other things as well, but the Radial Mask doesn't apply... UNLESS I click Radial Mask, and then move the cursor down to the task bar or to my second monitor. As soon as the cursor moves out of the LR space, the left-click that immediatly preceded the move applies. So, my workflow to apply a mask is click Masks tab, click Radial mask type, move cursor to task bar, click on the photo and set the radial mask (w

Hi everybodyThe problem I had repeatedly since the last year: after upgrading LrC to versions started from 13.5 and consequent updating the catalog (which is mandatory!) I get a new catalog which contains NO edits history at all! And the size of the new catalog is 4 times smaller (4 Gb instead of 16,25 Gb).Last year I just reverted to version 13.0.2, and waited since then for newer versions . Today I've tried to install version 14.4 – the result was unfortunately the same as earlier. All edits history (years of work) is lost. My previous catalog saved, but now I even can't see the option to revert Lr version back to 13.0...Does anybody know what might be wrong? Should I have more space on my HD? Should I save my current catalog as a different file? Maybe this is a known bug but then why it lasts so long? I run LrC on a MacOS Sequoia 15.5Thanks in advance for any help or hints.
LR displays the capture times for video from many cameras in UTC, rather than in local time of where the video was shot, which is obviously less useful to users. Though the original sin was a poorly written Quicktime/MP4 standard that is inconsistently obeyed by cameras, LR could handle the situation much better with a small amount of effort. The De Jure and De Facto Standards The Quicktime/MP4 standard specifies that the time in the Quicktime:CreateDate field is in UTC, not local time, and the standard doesn't provide for a time-zone field as EXIF does. However, prior to smart phones and GPS-connected devices, most cameras recorded local time in Quicktime:CreateDate, not UTC, and many cameras still do. But now, more cameras (but far from all) are following the standard. They fall into these categories: 1. Smart devices that connect and sync time with the Internet. These devices know both UTC and the local time zone. Apple devices obey the standard, writing UTC
I have the 1TB photography plan. I have been using Lightroom Classic for over 10 years now. I want to move to Lightroom.I migrated my files to Lightroom and it's being saved on Adobe's cloud storage. I want to free up my local storage now. Do I still need to keep my photos locally? Can I delete my photos now? Does Lightroom (non-classic) need to save photos locally as well? In case this is the wrong community forum, I will post on Lightroom (non-classic) as well.
Hello,A small mystery here, hoping someone can advise or help 🙂Why will LrC AI Denoise (aka Enhance afaik) process some RAW files but not others, from the same (now quite old) Canon 400D 10MP Camera? Even if I 'reset' the DNG file to remove all changes. Thanks!Andrew
Does Adobe Lightroom have an SDK or a set of APIs that will let me do something like this:// fetch a photo image file from local hard drive or network Image img_original = Image.FromFile("C:\Event123\original\DSC_1337.jpg"); // Use Lightroom's ToneControl.Auto on the ORIGINAL image to create a NEW image Image img_new = LightroomUtilities.ToneControl.Auto(img_original); // take that NEW image and perform Lightroom's WhiteBalance.Auto on it img_new = LightroomUtilities.WhiteBalance.Auto(img_new); // save the NEW image to a local folder img_new.Save("C:\Event123\corrected\DSC_1337.jpg"); I've researched Lightroom's APIs and Firefly APIs several times for the past several months. And I do not thing this is possible. Here's the context... I photograph events where I may shoot 1000s (or tens of 1000s) of photos. Then after the event, I load the photos into Lightroom and run Tone Control > Auto on all of them. And often White Balance > Auto as well.&n
Hi,Does anybody know if there is a custom filter setting to search for all images with a metadata error warning. My catalog seems determined to annoy me on multiple levels. The latest issue is it's decision to begin to create a warning on my images "There was an unknown error while writing metadata to this photo" Retry? This has happened before and I resolved it by selecting every image in my library and clicking the option to "retry metadata export", which seems to mysteriously solve the issue. This took a long time and I was very worried that some kind of keywording would be lost during the update.Keywording is my main way to locate images within the catalog.I don't understand the export option, why am I exporting my metadata, where am I exporting this metadata to?Anyway, I'd like to be able to use some kind of a searchable field or filter setting to select all the effected images, that way I can update all the latest images to suffer and move on.Until next time. Thanks
My computer is a desktop with an Intel i9 13900k, 64GB DDR5, GTX 1080 8GB. So fairly modern, except for the GPU. I don't want to upgrade the GPU because I have no use for a more modern GPU, I don't play games on this machine. I recently upgraded to an OLED, 4K, HDR Monitor: ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM. Monitor is connected to my GPU via DisplayPort 1.4. And after upgrading the monitor I had to enable HDR on Windows, otherwise the colors would not look accurate: -------- Now comes the Lightroom settings: As we can see, Lightroom is correctly detecting my GPU and is going to use it, but the problem is that if I have GPU acceleration enabled Lightroom gets completely laggy and unusable. I can't do anything on it. I have tried disabling Windows HDR, and that fixes the issue, but then I get awful colors on the monitor. I have tried disabling GPU acceleration and that improves it a bit, but then it uses the CPU for everything and is also not great (but still mu
Release 14.3.1 In attempting to create a new top level keyword. Results in creation of a sub keyword of an existing keyword.
LRC has become slow to open since yesterday, and freezes when I try to open the print module. Any ideas?
Hi,Lightroom has been getting increasingly clunky since the second-to-last update. But since the most recent update, it's gotten even worse. Editing individual photos using Auto, for example, often doesn't work on the first click.Synchronizing across multiple photos is very slow.Cropping multiple photos (10) at once is very slow. Displaying the thumbnails takes a very long time or doesn't work at all.&nbs

Hi, I am running LR classic on a Macbook Pro. I had hard drive issues and had to migrate my collection to a new drive to try to fix it. Since then some of my collections in LR Classic will sync to LR mobile and others just won't. Some have a rendering error message.
