Why does my new macbook pro not recognise my raw files on LRC
Hello everyone, I'm really curious about the decisions behind the app updates and their differences, whether they are intentional or not. Why when I'm using masks on ACR or Lr and they need to be updated I get a pop up as a notification with a button to update the masks and instead on LrC I've just to care about a little red dot near the mask icon, I've to enter in the masks module, I've to select a mask and then I can choose to update them?!?I really don't understand these differences, expecially in an app like LrC which seems to be declared the most complete.
I have some old Microsoft .MIX images and wonder if it is possible to convert these images to .JPG. I use Lightroom and Photoshop on my iMac, but these .MIX files are not recognised.Grateful for any suggestions. Thanks
My hard drive crashed. I had a new hard drive installed. I have LR Classic installed. I need to find out how to restore a LR Catalog Backup. I would appreciate any assistance.
I shoot RAW format with a Z8 and am running LrC 13.5.1. Starting out-of-the-blue with no obvious changes from before, some, but not all, of the images imported do not have EXIF data. The odd images say that the metadata "have been changed" and show only the pixel dimensions of the image. This causes lots of problems to have incomplete EXIF data. Why some images and not the adjacent image I have no clue and have seen no pattern. Anyone else run into this or have suggestions for sorting it out? Thanks
I just opened Library after updating to 14.0.1 and images appear as duplicates 1of2 and 2of2. The "2" is the "developed" (virtual) image. When I choose "show image in finder" both images link to the same original. Why has this happened? How do I fix it? Going throught thousands of images and deleting the virtual copies and re-doing the deveop settings is simply not going to happen. Greetings. The problem I'm having is that the "auto" option in the BASIC tab is disabled. Only after several changes between photos it can be used. LR Classic: 14.0.1
Hi, I have been trying to migrate my lightroom photos and edits to a new pc (in Lightroom classic). I have managed to transfer the photos, but everytime I try and import a catalog from preferences or edits (and the correct location on my hard drive) it says "No photos found", or you need to "upgrade catalog". Any ideas please?
Ever since I updated to the latest version of Lightroom (14.0.1) every time I select mask it crashes immediately. Is this a known issue and is there a fix? If not what version would I need to roll back to to get the previous mask option?

Bonjour,J'essaie d'importer des photos dans Lightroom classic, mais les photos ne s'affichent pas.Quelqu'un sait comment régler mon problème?
Auto Import Preferences are set to:Watched Folder: Pictures\01 Auto ImportDestination Folder: The folder of images being edited (I change this each time that changes)Move to Folder is specified as 'PS Edits', since I am editing PS (Beta version 26.1), and I have the file naming set to simply a space and the letter 'p' to the filename In Photoshop I select File>Scripts>Image Processor and process the file to be saved to the above 'Auto Import folder:I then Run to run the process. The file goes to the '01 Auto Import' folder as specified in the processor, but instead of it moving to the folder specified in LrC's Auto Import Preferences, a folder called "JPEG" is created as a sub folder within the '01 Auto Import' folder and the image is saved there:Nowhere in LrC is that location specified to move the file to and this basically corrupts the Auto Import process. It was working in the last version of LrC so this appears to be a bug in 14.0.1
Today I decided to move from an old version of Lightroom to the latest Classic and CC and begin syncing all of my platforms but then all of sudden the "People" option showed up and before I was given any sort of an option Lightroom Classic began going through my photos and assigning identities to all of the faces, of my family, friends, clients...people whom I cherish and respect their privacy! I found an option to pause this activity but the progress bar continued regardless! I contacted online support whom showed me how to uncheck this option in preferences but that still did not stop the progress bar. How do I stop this private information being taken from me, my family, friends and clients, whom were all not given any sort of option to remain anonymous? And how do I get back and erase the identity information that has been stolen from me?While I've been a long time Adobe user and fan, this is definitely a line I won't cross...and not only will I discontinue
How come my lens blue feature in LR CC doesnt work? I cant figure out why
Before changing from a windows 10 computer to a new windows 11 one I copied myLR catalog and associated files to a hard disk and plugged it into the new computer, but when I double click on the LRCAT file Lightroom seems to open but it just says this folder does not contain editable files. All the contents of the folder containing the catalog are listed (sync and data files) but the LRCAT itself does not appear and there doesn't seem to be any way to get to it.
Have been using LR Classic for a while on my MacBook Air, 2022 with M2 chip and 8 GB Memory. 273 Gb Storage available. But - lately I have been getting a message when I have LR running in background: "Your system has run out of application memory" and I need to close LR to run anything, such as Safari, Mail, etc. It shows me the memory being used, and all are smallish Mb numbers, but LR Classic shows as 39 GB. And it keeps getting larger - when I first looked it showed 39.10, then a few minutes later 30.700, then 39.78, then 39.81. What's going on? Thanks
I can not import .jpeg and .mp4 files into Lightroom since the last update (lightroom classic v 14.01, running on Windos 10 on my PC) I still can import .NEF and .DNG files. Is this a known bug or can it be aan setting issue in my system? Wim Spijkervet [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules.]
It just sites at "import files at their current location". If i cancel, it shows many videos were not able to be imported. Docs say that failed imports are logged so canceling shouldn't mean that on the next import the same files are attempted for re-import. Is there a codec issue? I'd be ok skipping videos but when you select a top level folder there isn't an easy way to specify file types or extensions to ignore. I think if i kept import going for the next couple of weeks, i'll see progress but know there must be a way to minimize time it takes to go through the videos. Photos, on the other hand seem to import at a reasonable rate.
After the recent update to version 14.0.1, the import hangs after 125 photos.Windows 10
Before the recent update, AI Denoise (in Lightroom Classic on my MacBook Air M1) was working fine on all my images, but ever since it updated, when I try to use Denoise, it will load almost all the way and then when the loading bar is nearly full and then crashes and throws me back to saying there is no image selected and the image is not denoised when I click back into it. I have tried contacting adobe help several times but nothing has done anything for it and it still crashes just the same. I have no idea what to do to fix this.
Wacom Intuos PTK 640 and pen will not move Lightroom sliders. I can tap the slider but can't slide it. Windows 10 and lightroom are all up to date. Uninstalled and reinstalled my Wacom and no luck. Any other thoughts? BTW Windows Ink, disabled or enabled..no difference.
Masks dont work, for example if I move the shadows slider affects all masks at once. Problems with adobe lightroom version 12.2.1
[I've verified this bug still exists in LR 10.0. See this post. -- John Ellis] After a while of custom sorting the order of photos and stacks within a collection (using Grid View), Lightroom starts to unpredictably refuse to sort photos. Some will get positioned where I drop them, others won't move at all and yet others will get positioned somewhere close by (eg. 4 or 5 photos before or after). After digging into the catalog file I've come across what I think is the problem, but don't know how to fix it. In the attached file you'll see a screenshot of the database table for the collection, you'll see I've hilited the images that are part of the same collection, but their positionId is identical (which should never happen I'm assuming), probably due to the field size reaching it's maximum length. This is what I believe is causing the problem. Tested this on both Lightroom 5.7 and CC 2015.8.This is a major bug and effectively stops user sorting from being functional, as well as now h
Hi All,The issue has shown up for me since I updated to Lightroom 13.5 and still exits in 14. Whenever I quit lightroom and re-open it forgets all of the previews that are generated for the catalog. This means I have to regenerate the previews every time. The previews file exists in the same directory as the catalog, but for some reason isn't making use of it. I have tried deleting the previews file and starting over but the same issue occurs. Not sure if anyone has any ideas? Lightroom 14.0.1 on Mac OS Sequoia 15.0.1
Someone please help! I'm desperate here. I have a Mac book pro and using the new version of LRC up to date.. I got an error message stating that my Mac was unable to repair the disc ( my external hard drive that has my catalog and photos on)The error also says I can copy and open files on the disc but unable to save changes to the disc. I did make a backup of the catalog and copied it to a diff external drive before this happened. The backup is a zip because it's so large. I am so behind already in my editing and I need this to get up and working! I tried opening Lightroom and it said it was corrupted and unable to repair. I then made a new catalog and am currently trying to import the backed up catalog. Is this the right thing to to do? Or do I have to start all over and re import my albums and presets etc, have I lost all my edits? I want to crawl in a hole lol Any help is much much appreciated!!
