For many months now I have been experiencing an issue when doing any one of the subjected issues (applying a mask layer, toggleing the layer and clicking before and after of file). A lagging that one at first might put down to a lack of CPU, MEMORY or Disk Space. However I am using an, Acer Swift x 14" laptop - intel® core™ i7, 1 tb ssd. With, Installed RAM: 16.0 GB (15.7 GB usable) a 64-bit operating system and ambient. Without Lightroom Classic open, my system processes sit at, CPU 2%, 40% Memory, 0% Disk and 0% Network. Once opened, this data reads at, CPU 4%, 67% Memory, 0% Disk and 0% Network. There has been various suggestions in multiple formums to look at Performance settings. I have custom Grapics Proccesor in use and I have set my Camera Raw Cache to 50GB. Information about what I edit. I shoot RAW and JPEG files (at the same time) on a Canon R5. My average file size estimates at, 50GB. I have the up to date version of LrC and my sys
I'm using the AI Denoise feature in Lightroom Classic on an M1 Macbook Air with 16GB RAM. The resulting image has dark squares spread throughout the image. Here's a screenshot of what I'm seeing - I raised the exposure a few stops to make the boxes more obvious: Things I've tried so far: - Rebooted system- Tried all possible permutations of graphics acceleration, from fully disabled to fully enabled- Downgraded Lightroom Classic to n-1 and n-2 versions- Tried using Lightroom Cloud insteadAt this point, I'm at a loss, and can't process these photos.
Hello everyone. I'm having the "classic" problem with Lightroom classic that many others have had. LRC won't open a newly created catalogue. Here's the background: I am working with someone to edit multiple photos. She copied all of her files to a Google Drive folder for me to download and continue working. I downloaded ALL of the catalogue files, tried opening the .lrcat file (with all of the other ones in the same folder) but keep getting that pesty error pop up.I also tried the Adobe solution by opening the package of the lrcat-data file and deleting "CURRENT", then restarted LRC to no avail. Same error. This has happened virtually every time before when I've downloaded someone else's files from GD.What gives?
LRC vsn 14.0.1, Mac IOS Sequoia 15.0.1LRC seems to have lost the pointer to my Watermark signature preset folder. Is there a way to reconnect it? I'd really rather not try to recreate all these if at all possible! Here is a screenshot of the path...
I have paid my creative cloud membership and photoshop opens perfectly on my computer. Lightroom Classic however is not opening, it sends a lot of crash reports. Where is the problem?
Hello, Since Adobe chat can't help me (the engineer just closed the chat because he simply didn't know anymore what to do?) I'm asking here for help. I've used Lightroom for a while, but had issues with slow responsivness, sometimes crashing etc..So I installed 2 weeks ago Lightroom Classic, but it has more or less the same issues. It is slow, not so responsive and sometimes my screen flickers, go dark, photo's freeze during post processing in pixels, .. and exporting is after 10 sec freezing and LRC is crashing. I have a performant system:- AMD 5800X3D- 32 GB ram 3200Mhz- Nvidia 3090 24GB- W11 2H22 all updates done- drivers of all components are up to date Someone that had semiliar issues and can point me in a direction? Not the standard things like, updates, reinstall GPU drivers, ... I used LRc on way less performant systems, and it worked like a charm. I don't know what is going on.
Hey Everyone,I have just updated Lightroom Classic to the latest version and tried to Enable the new GPU image processing feature. When I go to the feature however the 'use GPU for image processing (Process version 5 or higher)' option is greyed out.I have checked the suggested specs and can see that I meet them, I am currently on Windows 10 pro x64 running dual SLI Nvidia GTX 780's with the latest Nvidia driver as show below:Video Card DetailsSuggested Cards from GPU FAQI have read through the Adobe article (Adobe Lightroom GPU Troubleshooting and FAQ) and tried all mentioned workarounds/fixes, I have also turned off Dual SLI but the option is still greyed out as shown below. Has anyone else experienced this issue and can provide some insight? any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in AdvanceAdriano

I updated LRC tto the latest version last night, since then the denoise module is useless, its super slow and freezes at the end. I tried to find a link or email to report bugs but I guess Adobe wont let ou email them. The AI chat is pretty frustrating and useless as well.
Lightroom 12.3 has become unuseable this afternoon. It keeps freezing. It doesn't respond to anything I try to do with my mouse. All other apps are working fine. I can't even exit the program and have to use Task Manager to quit Lightroom. I tried rebooting my Windows 11 computer but that doesn't help. As soon as I start Lightroom it freezes. Can someone please help.
Why did adobe take away the ability to move and make adjustments to a mask once it has been applied? It is a huge inconvenience not being able to move a mask, especially if you are batch editing and syncing settings on multiple photos. Minor adjustments sometimes need to be made. Now with the masks locked I have to delete and create a new one for every photo. Please share if anyone knows a workaround to unlock the masks.
I created a specialized preset for use when opening files from my Fuji X-M1 that had been modified with an infrared sensor. The problem now is that when I go into any files, however old, and from whatever camera, Lightroom applies the IR preset to every image, in every folder. How do I get Lightroom to open files using the original color preset and ignore the IR preset? I have attached two photos. One is the Library module showing the excessive blue tint because the X-M1 preset is being applied to all the photos in the folder. But some are not, which I don't understand. The other photo is a closeup of the Presets panel. When I open up older photo that I want to work on, I just want LR to use the default presets it would have used in the past. How do I get LR to forget about the X-M1 preset and use only the original Canon and other Fuji presets?
Well this is going to be a bit of a rant because I'm honestly over it and i dont know if I'm the only one dealing with these issues? issues:Makes a stack every single time even though its unchecked.Sometimes it makes 3 COPIES?!And now some photos arent getting denoised. It's extremely tedious trying to clean up all the photos and organise them especially when I'm denoising 400 images that i waited like 2 or so hours to denoise. I'm using the latest macbook and i have plenty of storage. It's extremely annoying
When I run Denoise, a weird blue-ish, purple-ish streak appears on the right edge of the photo. Please forgive me if this is something obvious that I've done terrible wrong. I'm using Lightroom Classic 13.0.1I'm on a Macbook Pro, 2017 model running Ventura 13.6 Thank you so much—happy to provide more info and examples. Before and after below.
I had to move a catalog and associated content from a Mac to a PC and of course you can't get the paths to remain the same so I need to reconnect the content. I can reconnect individual files no problem, but I have about 65K files on this drive so it's doing it individually is not going to work. I need to reconnect the _folders_. The weird thing is, I was able to do this somehow for _some_ folders, but what I thought I had done, select a photo, then select the date in the "target photo" box, isn't making the folder show up under the Navigator folders pannel. In the attached image you can see some folders show a couple of files, but they really have thousands. These were obviously the files that only had one or two done by hand. And yes, I selected "find nearby files" as well, and that didnt' seem to have any effect. Any thoughts here? Thanks, -john
I updated LRC to v 14.0.1 on 10/16/24. At that time, my catalog was updated. About two weeks later when I signed into CREATIVE CLOUD, I was asked to sign in which never happens. After navigating that issue and upon getting into LR, it asked me to update my v 13 cat. i had already done that so I exited. Now when I am able to access LR, it is showing I am using cat v 13.3 but I am running V 14.0.1. I don't have a version 14 cat in my library either. I wondered if maybe LR had stored it in a different library. I'm not sure if I made any changes between using cat 14 and losing it. What should I do since my cat v does not match my LR version? I use Windows 10
Does anyone know what causes layering in the background? I did apply bit of post-crop vignetting, but the changes of light aren't gradual, they occur in bands around the subject: Image with layering in background
Never had an issue 'til today, but Lr Classic won't batch export anymore. It will export a sequence of one up to six. But seven or more it will not export. I have an M2 Ultra Mac Studio. I'm exporting from an external hard drive location to a desktop folder (as I always do). Settings are same. The progress bar in the upper left hand corner of the app will make it to about seven images, and then it will pinwheel. I can't export six images at a time I'll be here all day. Please help!
On a MacBook Pro using OS 15.1 I have around 500,000 images in my catalogue. All RAW files kept on external raid drives. Around 100,000 have smart previews. All running smoothly until I updated to 14.0.1. Now smart previews load very slowly and some normal previews are not showing at all. Ive tried trashing my Previews.lrdata and all the normal things. Exporting and all other functions normal. Any advice please ?
As a 15 year veteran of Lightroom, this is one which would greatly help speed up the workflow process. The idea: Have a section for edit requests within the Development Module to: Have the ability to Add requests for image editing from clients or team leader. (we would be typing in the requests or pasting them in.) Have the ability to make notes on each request for instance: you can make comments like - I am able to do this request with some modifications. Make comments on what was done to achieve the edit requests. Have the ability to check off requests as they are completed. Have a timer start button for each request, Have a timer stop when they are checked off as complete. Why the development module? Better efficiency means better productivity. In a typical workflow sequence, once images have been selected and filtered, there is no reason to move out of the development module until work is complete. Having to go back into, say, the li
Since the Sync rewrite, performance has been bad. Since 14.0.1, it has gotten catastrophic. Last night, I tried to move 3000 photos from a folder into a different folder. 14 hours later, about 10% has finished. It took over 5 minutes to cancel the move. Sync is paused. 64G of RAM, 8T of SSD, plenty of free space. Clean boot and clean restart of LrC last night. Previously, editing photos was sluggish, and often if I move to view a different photo and then came back to one that I had edited, all the edits would have reverted, and the history would be blank - until, apparently, the edit history had round-tripped through the cloud, which might take 5-10 minutes on a good day. This is now unusable for me.
I am importing two SD cards into lightroom classic and the smart previews take significantly longer - about 1 photo per every 3-4 on other cards - on a certain card. The 2 SD cards I'm using are the same exact model and size and have been used the same amount of time. The cameras shooting to the cards are the same exact model with the same photo settings. The only difference is the amount of photos - the card in question has double the photos. BUT I have tried importing equal test amounts from both cards (1000) and am experiencing the same ordeal. I have tried importing the second SD card (camera shoots RAW to 2 slots simultaneously) from the same camera and the problem persists. Thus, the cause is the camera. Both are Sony a7r4a's. I am curious as to what interaction Lightroom could have with one camera over another to cause this problem. Thank you for your time! MacOS 14.6.1LR Classic 13.5.1 SONY A7RIVa (x2)
