Lightroom Classic

I upgraded to v14.0 and then again to v14.0.1. After launching LrC,  I have experienced a memory leak that progressively consumes all of my 32GB RAM in a few minutes. This happens even when LrC is merely open and idle on my screen.  See the attached (3x sped up) video to see the effect of the leak.  I'm running Windows 10 HOME with all the latest patches. Build: 10.0.19045 Motherboard: Gigabyte Z690 AORUS ELITE AX DDR4.  32GB of RAM.  Processor: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700K, 3600 Mhz.   NVIDIA GeFrce RTX 3060 Ti graphics card.  When I shut down LrC the memory is released.  I have rebooted Windows and restarted LrC and the behaviour persists. Anyone else experiencing this?

Hello all,I have a problem with syncing my imported images to mobile and web.Lightroom program (Windows) shows all photos synced as they should be.All synced photos show the latest photos as being synced and the app shows the green check mark, with all up to date. But they don't appear either in the app on the phone nor on the browser.What could be going on there?LR Classic version 13.5.1Windows 11 Pro Version 22H2, OS build 22621.4317Steps to Reproduce:1. No improvement in Lightroom Classic 14.0: when using AI noise reduction, the colors in images with raised shadows still have a clear purple or magenta cast. This happens at values of less than 100%, at exactly 100% the color cast is gone, but then the noise reduction is much too strong. With other denoise programs such as Topaz AI the problem does not occur. When will this bug be corrected?Christian

Bonjour à tous,  j'ai envoyé une galerie photos à des amis sur Lightroom classic via un lien. Lorsque la personne clique sur le lien la galerie web s'affiche correctement et on peut télécharger les photos une par une. Cependant lorsque l'on essaye de telecharger la galerie en entier (1000 photos environ) le telechargement crash systématiquement au bout de 6 GO de telechargement et ce alors que j'ai suffisement de stockage sur mon ordinateur. un message d'erreur apparait indiquant "la décompression a échoué". Est ce que cette situation vous est déjà arrivée ?Auriez vous des explication ou des conseils à me donner ?  je vous remercie par avance pour votre aide !

Anyone else getting odd behavior and massive slow down when editing masks. And it often does not do what is expected. I was subtracting a large area of mask and even with the flow and density cranked up it will not delete the whole thing. Turning off and on show mask is painfully slow now too. Everything else is faster. They still have not fixed the preview window in denoise on mac either. It creates a tiny thumbnail in the preview window. 

I noticed this a few days ago but didn't realize the scale of the issue until I played around with the Exposure values and tested them to the limit.   I've attached two screenshots of the Develop module. The control image is an RAF photo with Exposure boosted to +5. The experiment is a DNG derived from the RAF, with a Denoise amount of 30. The effect manifests at all amounts from 1 to 100. However, the banding is not present in the Enhance Preview window. I have also attached the original Fujifilm RAF from my X-H2s camera (lossless compressed) and an affected DNG with Denoise.   I can't detect this phenomenon in NR conversions before LrC 13.3.    The significance should be self-evident. photo:getDevelopSettings() sometimes returns nil for Temperature and Tint.   There was a previous bug report filed for LR 12.2 (also observed in 10.4).    The original bug recipe didn't reproduce the behavior in LR 13.0.1, so we closed the bug.  But now we're observing the misbehavior again in LR 13.5.1, with a slightly different bug recipe.    1. How non-destructive is Lightroom?  I am beginning to wonder.  I had a RAW photo I was editing.  Preview was fine, edit was fine, I went to export.  I ran into a little bit of lag exporting when I minimized Lightroom and started up the web browser.  I go and look at my exports, and everything exported fine except for 1 file (most likely when I was messing with the web browser).  The file appeared corrupted.  This is not the first time I ran into this problem.  I have had this happen multiple times.So I delete the previews folder, I purge the cache, I import the RAW file again (btw, every other program sees this RAW file just fine EXCEPT for Lightroom), and still, every import it shows corrupted and exports the same as it shows.To fix this, I had to go and delete the original RAW file, replace it with a backup, and re-import that backup.  So Lightroom... question.  Why are you destroying my RAW files?  You are suppose to be non-destr

With all this artificial intelligence it is not possible to create the PIle automatically? Lightroom displays the similar photo and adds it to the pile in automatic.... useful for servizi fotografici ampi using the HDR technique

Hi, just wondering if I open a old back up catalogue will I loose any current changes?

hello  all   i hav ejust a small question , since a few wekks i have the following when I wanna use a mask in LrC same stuff for the filters    what can it be  ans is there a way to corect it , im on latest Mac OS    anny help is welcome 

In 13.x I had published services. The LrC screen showed what is published, altered or new.In my new version 14.0.1 in Windows 11, these indications are lost. The publishing services screen show like a normal grid view.Publising services does not work any longer, also not after forcing it with a right mouse click and choosing the option.

I keep all my images on an external hard-drive but the LR catalogues on my PC. The hard drive is showing signs of problems so I have bought a new SSD which is also double the capacity and should giver me faster access. It is a Windows 11 PC.I want to now move all the images to thd new drive. However, I'm told only the catalogue that is open at the time I move the images will update to the new location but I have three catalogues I use (I used to  use an all images catalogue but by breaking it down into smaller catalogues considerably improved speed of loading and processing images).I would normally do the  move from LR. How can I update all the catalogues ratherr than just the one opoen when I make the move?Alternatively, it has been suggested that I use File Explorer to move all the images and then simply rename the new drive to the drive letter of the old drive and the catalogues will then work without modification. Is that true? Any advice is welcome

A couple of photos showing as unable to build smart sync. So tried to run a synchronise on the folder. The above error pop up. Please advise ..

Vous ne trouvez pas anormal qu'il ne soit pas possible de fixer soi-même la gargeur et hauteur des feuilles, pour un logiciel de cette qualité? In lightroom it is possible to make an HDR but it is necessary to use a very large photographic service and to perform many HDR. It is possible to join the photo in PILE and select all the PILE to launch multiple HDR with the same Shift+control+H (for MAC).In this way we lanciamo degli HDR su più scene contemporaneously.Purtroppo is not possible but (in this way) you will access the panel of the options to regulate the GOST effect!Do you not have a positive idea to launch the HDR multiplies and to communicate that you have the panel of the first options that are part of the elaboration?

Dear Community, my workflow is (since many years) to first view my images (Sony ARW-Raw files) and add Caption and Copyright info in the programme Photomechanic https://home.camerabits.com/tour-photo-mechanic/ .My problem is, that after importing the raw-files (and the xmp-files) to Lightroom Classic the image caption (from photomechanic) is not seeing or showed any more by Lightroom Classic. The Caption-fields in Lightroom Classics are empty, the information gets lost (in Lightroom and after exporting from Lightroom).I think I didn`t change any import preferences in Lightroom Classic (V. 13.5.1 / Mac OSX Ventura 13.5.2).Does anyone ever had the problem or has an idea on how to solve the issue in Lightroom Classic?I contacted Photomechanic support and everything with the written metadata is fine. Many thanks, Heiko 

Hey y'all,   For some reason when I tried to sync 3 new albums from 3 recent photoshoots today between my LR classic on my desktop (where the images were originally uploaded and albums were originally created) and my LR on my laptop, the albums are syncing with a mixture of the correct images for those albums and totally random images that were uploaded months ago from a variety of different albums. I've attached a picture where I circled the random images - the red circles are from one photoshot/album and the green ones are from another photoshoot/album, both from several months ago.    I tried chatting with an adobe agent who suggest I try optimizing the catalog and creating a new catalog to which I import the old catalog but neither fixed the issue.    Has anyone ever expierenced this issue before/know how to remedy it?   [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules.]

Hi, Since the Lightroom Classic 13.4 update I can no longer trigger the Show Loupe Overlay using the keyboard shortcut CTRL + ALT + O. It still works using the menu (View > Loupe Overlay > Show). Another update, another new bug I guess 😜

LR 13.5 has many errors in the in-app help and tool tips for keyboard shortcuts.  There are many instances where the wrong shortcut is given, e.g.    DE: "Umschalt + D" instead of "Strg + Alt + Umschalt + U" for New Depth Range Mask.   There are instances where an inconsistent or wrong localization of a key modifier is given, e.g.    ES: "Ctrl + Maj + Entrée" insead of "Contrôle + Maj + Entrée"   And instances of inconsistent capitalization or spacing:   SV: "Ta bort" instead of "Ta Bort"   See the attached file for the complete list.    Nearly every release fixes previous such errors and introduces new ones. They could be easily avoided by running the Any Shortcut plugin's Analyze command.    

In German, the shortcut Cmd+Option+g (Mac) / Ctrl+Alt+g (Win) is assigned to two different commands, Preferences and Toggle Generative Remove:   "$$$/AgDevelop/Menu/Photo/ToggleGenerativeRemove/Key=Cmd+Option+g" "$$$/Application/Menu/Edit/Preferences/Key=Cmd+Option+g" "$$$/Application/Menu/File/Preferences/Key=Cmd+Option+g"     On Windows, Ctrl+Alt+g invokes Preferences in both Library and Develop, and there's no working shortcut to invoke Toggle Generative Remove.   On Mac, Cmd+Option+o invokes Preferences in Library and Toggle Generative Remove in Develop, and there's no working shortcut to invoke Preferences in Develop. Prior to LR 13.4, Cmd+Option+o invoked Preferences in Develop.   Tested in LR 13.5 / Mac OS 14.6.1 and Windows 11.    

I've seen this be reported on a handful of times over the last week or so but there hasn't been any real response from Adobe with the only "fix" I've seen is to switch to windows and buy a new GPU. It's slowing my workflow to a halt and have so much to get done with no fix in sight. I've tried everything from downgrading versions, turning off GPU acceleration, optimising catalog, clearing caches, turning off syncing, using smart previews but nothing seems to work. I have about 10 minutes of editing before it starts to slow to unusable levels and I have to reboot my MacBook. I'm using an M1 Pro any only editing Canon 5d mk4 files so nothing even too intense and it seems other people seem to be having the same issue on similar hardware. Literally any help at this point would be amazing.
